1I think on the answer to #4 of jetlandingboard's questions, Greg typed in "by being an cool dude," but the filter changed it to "by being an cool dude." It did that to me also when I made a group called "Makuta the cool dude."
2-TOoMN-
3No need to bypass the filter

4Well, careful, cuz the FLs and FAs don't want people bypassing the word filter:
5If it is filtered, do not bypass the censor, ever.
6And the site is not allowed to be mentioned nor linked.
7Topic closed.

9Anyway, here's something really outdated:

10In MoL:the Movie, Hahli stowed away in the 'trunk' of Takanuva's Ussanui. What I'm concerned about is, Takanuva put the Kraata inside the 'trunk'. Why didn't Hahli get infected?

11Most likely the kraata was weakened from having been beaten in combat and torn out of the Rahkshi. If it was in full control of its faculties, it would never have helped power a vehicle to get Takanuva to Makuta.

12Well, at least it's a little info about Kraata, eh?

3Well, remember that there are 6 compartments to the Ussanui, and if they are in separate compartments, and the Shadow Kraata didn't know she was there, she wouldn't be infected. ;)

18. How did the Makuta of Artahka perish?

28) They didn't

3So there was more than one? Interesting...
#7206
1Hm... Can anyone provide a quote about this "Makuta of Artakha"? I knew there were different Makuta for each region, but it never clicked that there would be one for where Artakha is... Maybe there's one for the Karzahni region? But Jaller says in Dark Destiny that Mata-Nui would never allow Karzahni to exist, and he's about to say that even Makuta would never allow it... So why would a member of the Brotherhood allow Karzahni to exist? What could they gain from that?

3Yeah, I just watched that scene, and I was wrong; she was in the same compartment. I can honestly say, I never noticed that. I would have to explain that one with artistic license, though, as I see no other logical explaination. XD

32) In the Official BoM Topic, it says that there is a Makuta for every region inhabited by Matoran, such as Metru Nui. Would there be a Makuta for Artahka? I know no shadow can enter, but the Makuta used to be good, so it seems possible. 42) There was a Makuta assigned to that region, yes. He's dead.

5Here you go, The Order of Mata-Nui ... :)
6Hmm...Well, Karzahni never knew about the BoM, right? And the BoM didn't hide themselves like the way the OoMN do, right? Which might mean that there probably wasn't a Makuta placed in Karzahni...Tis my guess...
7I think that Artakha and Karzahni were created before Mata Nui...And that Makuta doesn't know about Karzahni... :)
#7209
1So umm....if the Makuta of Artakha is dead, but didn't perish...I'm confused. Is he dead or not? I'm sure there's some tricky explanation for it.
#7210
1Remember, it's not "he didn't perish." It's " they didn't perish."
2And it's obvious (and rather humorous, in my opinion) that in Bionicle Legends #2, Karzahni reveals that he's never heard of Mata Nui or Makuta.
3EDIT: Here's another answer from Mr. Farshtey:
GregF
41) About when did the OoMN begin to suspect the BoM? 5I think "suspect" is too strong a word. The OOMN is cautious by nature. Any organization with the kind of power that the BOM has was going to be someone they looked twice at as a potential threat. So they were planning "what if" scenarios regarding the BOM practically from day one

6jetslandingboard :silver:
#7211
1That probably means that the BoM might have assigned 2 or members there, and one of them escaped before the other was killed. Anyway, Greg gave Ut this quote:

2Hey Greg,
3Recently you told someone that there was a Makuta of Artakha, but that he is now dead. This got me to thinking...
4In the GB contest you held, you revealed to us that the residents of Artakha crafted the Avohkii, and that the BoM stole the mask. I am seeing a connection between the theft of the mask and death of this Makuta
5So first off, was that Makuta killed during the fracas in trying to steal the mask?
6Second, what happened?
7Hmm... 8~U

9No, he was not killed during the raid. Why he's dead and who killed him gets revealed in the Atlas.

10Looks like we'll have to wait. :P

1Resolution of the "Makuta of Artakha" issue:
GregF
21) You mentioned some "confusion re: Brutaka." What confusion? 31) You had posted that having seen some of my answers in OGDT on Brutaka, you were unsure what his situation is.
42) How many "Makuta of Artakha" are/were there? And how does this jibe with the fact that "the Makuta of Artakha" was killed? 52) One. The "they" in my answer came from my misreading the question -- I thought he was asking about the Hand of Artakha.
63) Will the Inika show up in 2008? 74) Will Axonn show up in 2008? 83-4) I cannot discuss 2008
95) Are the Inika capable of emitting electricity (laced with elemental power) from their hands? 105) Yes
116) Do you think the OoMN has safeguards against the Toa turning to evil? 126) It's entirely possible.

1I bring the truth:
28. How did the Makuta of Artahka perish?
38) They didn't

4This was placed in various spots allowed on BZP. Now, this seems wrong right off the bat because it always seemed like there was only one Makuta, and that he died (two Q&A's against one).
5I theorize that perhaps this answer is for a different question, as this was all that was given.
6Thanks for clearing this up, 7~U

8My fault, U. I misread the question and thought he was asking about the Hand of Artakha.

9So, as it seems: There was only one Makuta of Artakha, he died.
10Oh come now, are they really spoliers? they don't give away any of the plot or story, they are just simple names.

11Any bit that gives away any part of the book is a spoiler. Anything that is not previously known here publicly because it is new info from a book is considered a spoiler here on BZP. There are small spoilers, that don't give away plot or story, yes, but they are still spoilers. ;)

43. Is the Mukuta of Metru Nui the only one with a Kraahkan or is it something all Mukuta have? If so does this mean there are noble versions of it?

65. About how many Mukutas are there in the brotherhood?

1Hey DD, you have to PM Mr. Farshtey to ask him questions. He rarely visits this topic. However, I believe I have an idea about some of these questions:
21) I would think that it's certainly possible 32) "Can't answer it" (expect to hear this answer a lot if you ask about future storyline) 43) All the Makuta wear different Kanohi. And who knows, there may be Noble Kraahkan out there 54) It's unique to her -- it's her personality, like TSO's madness spinners and Sidorak's obedience spinners 65) "Can't answer it"
7Again, these are only my answers, and while I'm positive on 3 & 4 and pretty sure on 2 and 5, I am only giving opinion and not what Mr. Farshtey will definitely say. So please don't put my words into Mr. Farshtey's mouth :) 8jetslandingboard :silver:

1The Hand of Artakha (which appears exclusively in the Encyclopedia 2) is -- was -- an ancient organization of heroes, predating the Toa. Their members (which included a Dark Hunter codenamed "Shadow Stealer") were more diversified than Toa. For whatever reason, they were replaced as heroes by the Toa and completely disbanded. Its members are currently inactive.

7Greg raely (if ever) reads this topic, so you should PM him instead. As for thw questions, from what I know:
81) A Toa becomes a Turaga once they've given up all their Toa energy, good or evil. 92) We don't know. 103) All Makuta have different masks. 114) Roodaka's spinner is unique. 125) We don't know exactly how many, but we know of the Makuta of Metru Nui, Artahka (dead), the continent that Voya Nui is from, Zakaz, and Karazhni (dead or alive we don't know), as well as all regions inhabited by Mtoran.

1EDIT: I just watched WoS again and checked that scene. That particular Keelerak's name is spelled KOLLORAK. Please disregard the spelling in my PM. I repeat, PLEASE DISREGARD THE SPELLING IN THE FOLLOWING PM. Greg and I both made a spelling error, and I feel that everyone should know the correct spelling.
21a. We know that the Rahi names "Hoi", "Vako", and "Kuna" have been dropped and these Rahi have not appeared since. However, I have played VNOG recently and I noticed what appear to be Hoi turtles in the game, but they are referred to as "Shore Turtles." Since Kuna have been renamed Bog Snakes, does this mean Hoi will be called Shore Turtles from now on? 31b. If not, are Shore Turtles among the VNOG Rahi that are canon? 41c. Are "Rock Ussal" crabs canon? 52. I think I read somewhere in this topic that a certain VNOG Rahi was not canon. If this is true, which one is it? 63. I just watched WoS on DVD last weekend, and I found a mistake (other than the Rahaga with propellors, of course). Shortly after the Toa were captured, a Keelerak goes into the throne room to inform Sidorak. He is sitting on Dume's throne with the back side turned to the Keelerak, and when he turns around and speaks to it, he clearly says the word "Kollarak" (this is how the subtitles spell it). Why did he say this? Did he mispronounce the word "Keelerak" or something? 74. Since Kahu and Kewa birds are now Gukko birds, does this mean that the different body shapes of them is a result of evolving with age, like how Pewku is larger than most Ussal crabs? 85a. Since names of Matoran such as Jaller, Hewkii, and Macku are used to refer to events in Metru Nui, as well as any future events, does this mean the the old names Jala, Huki, and Maku, are no longer canon? 95b. If the old names are canon, why is their new name used for past events? Does this mean their names were changed when they arrived on Mata Nui? 105c. If the old names are not canon anylonger, does this mean that the Naming Day ceremony on Mata Nui never took place? 116a. Since Keetongu comes and goes to Metru Nui, has he ever returned to his home island? 126b. Since Keetongu's species is extinct, except for him, do any Tahtorak still inhabit his island? 137. Since it was Brutaka who teleported Tahtorak (the one we know and love) to Metru Nui, what was he doing on Keetongu's and Tahtorak's island in the first place, or were he and Tahtorak even on that island? 148. How did Keetongu end up in Metru Nui? 159. How did his species die out? Did they all have anti-venom powers? 1610. We know that Roodaka's male companion was green, but if she is black, how do they distinguish between male and female? Do they have any other colors other than black and green? Are all females of their species black? 1711. Was the Turaga who fled from the Toa of Gravity's homeland a Turaga of Gravity? 1812. I'm just double-checking on this one. BL5 says that the Matoran of Voya Nui offered to create a new Air Katana for Lewa. To be more specific this time, did they actually make one? I just want to be extra sure. 1913. Since the Toa Nuva will return to Metru Nui, but not talk to the Turaga, will they talk to Takanuva? 2014. Since we will see the Mask of Stealth this year, will it be given an official name and shape? 2115. If Takanuva is not a Toa Nuva, does this mean that he looks like a Toa Nuva because he was familiar with their body shape (like how you said Lhikan had a Toa Metru body shape because his predecessor also had a Toa Metru body shape)? 2216. Since "Savage" is all black, does this mean he was a Toa of Earth before his mutation? 2317. Which member of Lhikan's team owned the Mask of Speed found at the gate to Metru Nui? 2418. If Toa Krakua is alive today, are there Matoran of Sonics anywhere, like Mahri Nui, perhaps?

251) No idea. I have nothing to do with the online games. 262) I don't recall that 273) No, he didn't mispronounce. Kollarak (sic) was the Visorak's given name, the same way you might call a dog "Fido." Sidorak cannot very well walk out and shout, "Keelerak" when he wants one in particular, anymore than you would walk out and shout, "Dog" if you were looking for your particular dog. 284) Or simply different breeds of the same creature. Not all dogs or cats look exactly alike or grow to the same sizes 295) We used the new names because we are not allowed to use the old names anymore. I still consider the old names canon, I simply cannot put them into story anyplace. 305b) The new names are used in the 2004-2005 story because legally I cannot use the old ones anymore. Also, a lot of fans grew used to the new names in 2003, and not being BZPers in touch with every little nuance, would have gotten confused if we went back to the old names in 2004. Keep in mind most BIONICLE fans are 8-9 and not on here. 315c) No, that's not the case. 326a) He may have at some point, sure 336b) Hard to say. It's not like Tahtorak could easily hide from the horde, and it's doubtful the horde would have just left them alone. 347) Brutaka had a life before joining the OOMN. This was part of it. 358) He headed north during the Visorak invasion, because they were coming from the south. Metru Nui is as far north as you can go. 369) Anti-venom does you no good if the Visorak are not trying to mutate you, but simply to kill you. 3710) They simply know, the same way Matoran do. Since there are no outward physical characteristics, gender is more a mental thing in BIONICLE. 3811) Can you give me some context? What are you referring to? 3912) Yes, Velika did make him a new one 4013) Too soon to tell 4114) Yes 4215) Yes 4316) It's possible, it's also possible his color changed as a result of his mutation 4417) Since only Nidhiki and Lhikan have been identified by name from this team, it's impossible to answer this question 4518) Not on Mahri Nui, no, but somewhere. I don't see the point in putting them in a location where the sets will not reflect their presence.

46My comments on the answers: 472. I guess I was mistaken about a VNOG Rahi being non-canon. 483. How interesting... 494. So the Kahu and Kewa body shapes are really different breeds of Gukko birds (but all three types are still called Gukko birds, of course). VERY interesting... 505. I'm still confused. If the old names are still canon, does this mean they went by the old names in Metru Nui, but they are called by the new names anyway simply because Greg cannot publish them anymore? 517. VERY interesting... 528. The Visorak's homeland must be very far south of any land we have seen... 539. That makes sense. 5410. VERY INTERESTING... 5511. I mean the Toa of Gravity in "Time Trap." Lariska tells TSO that she succeeded in her mission to assassinate a Toa of Gravity. She said that the island's Turaga had fled the island. I was curious as to whether or not he was a Turaga of Gravity. 5612. YES::::: I was right the first time: Just wanted to be sure. 5714. All right: We'll finally learn the name and shape of Nidhiki's mask: 5815. WOW: That explains a lot of things (well, maybe not a lot, but certainly about why Takanuva looks like a Toa Nuva.): 5916. It's possible his color changed, huh? Perhaps whether colors change from mutations depends on how long mutations last. I may have to ask about this, too. 6017. Of course. We don't even know the elements of the other 4 Toa in Lhikan's team. 6118. So much for anyone's theory that Krakua or any Matoran of Sonics could be in Mahri Nui.
#7229
1As to number five, yes that is the case. The names still exist to those of us fans that were around in 2001, but LEGO can no longer use the names without being sued. As for anyone that is a recent fan, since a lot of original fans have moved onto other things, they would not know about the difference in the names in the first place. ;)

1Hi Greg, I've just got one question for you.
2The Mahritoran were mutated by the water, just like the Barraki were, but they cannot breathe underwater, and have no resemblance to sea creatures. Does this have anything to do with the fact that they live inside air bubbles?
3~Lihyahm

4Yes. They were only exposed to the water for a very brief time, and now the air bubbles protect them from exposure, so their mutations were not as severe

5This is very interesting.

1Hi Mr Farshtey,
2I've got one question that I'm itchin' to know the answer to.
3Do you know when the Barraki will be released in Australia?
4If you could find out that would be tops.
5Thanks:

1Hello Greg, I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me:
21. What was the cause of the Matoran Civil War?
32. What were the sides?(Ga,Le,Ko against Ta, Onu, Po)
43. Did Toa choose sides?
54. Can a skilled Toa of Fire cause a solid to liquify? or turn to gas form?(thermal energy)
65. Did the Matoran Civil War happen in Metru Nui?Somewhere else? Many places?
76. Do the Barraki have gills? Or can they survive on land?
87. Have you seen the Toa Mahri's mask connection?
98. If so, is it peg, inika-like, or new?
109. When is the release date of the Mahri?
1110. How do you imagine each of the Barraki's voices?
1211. Which do you think is better(setwise), Barraki or Mahri?
13Thanks, even though you probably won't be able to answer most of these.
