1I just have a single question: In Bionicle Adventures #4, Makuta as "Imposter Dume" went inside a chamber where no eyes but his own had set upon. It was here that
2Turaga Dume walked toward the darkest recesses of the room. A pair of sinister red eyes loomed in the shadows before him.
3The question is: Is Makuta talking to himself or another BoM member?

1Hello, Greg. Hope 2007 has started off nicely for you. :)

21. We know that Mata Nui does not intervene directly with the Matoran Universe, and we know that Toa do not kill on purpose, but would Mata Nui kill if forced to? Maybe not in directly, but set up someone for death if it was for the good of the Universe?
32. Since Toa can run out of elemental energy and need to charge, is it possible that the Inika's lightning could run out on its own? It may be un short supply and they would really have no way to recharge it unless they got hit by energy from the Rad Star again.
43. Is it possible that the lightning form the Red Star caused more changes in the Inika than we know about?
54. Could there be masks underwater from enemies the Barraki have killed?
64b. If so, those masks were probably mutated to allow their original owners' to survive under the waves?
75. Mahri Nui is protected by a domes of air bubbles right?
85b. Are they permeable to allow entry in and out of the Aquatic City?
96. Do the Great Beings have prototype universes? Or do they stick around and work on a universe until it is truly complete?
107. Are the other Universes connected to the Matoran Universe in some way or are they completely independent of one another?

11Thanks:
12Ja-Metru

131) I have a hard time seeing that happen, simply because Mata Nui does not get involved in individual existences -- he is worried about the universe as a whole. If someone needed to die for the safety of that universe, most likely the OOMN would do it. 142) Unless you assume that the lightning from the red star made that lightning a part of their natural elemental power, in which it will recharge when their elemental powers recharge 153) No, I think we covered all of them 164) Doubtful. Most Pit residents were not mask wearers 175) Yes 186) I can't answer this 197) I can't answer this either

20I wonder if we will find out more about the universes in coming years....

1well, this is what i got... nothing really new here. or is there??? :lookhere:

2QUOTE 3its me again, atlas... id like to thank you for taking the time to answer our questions. thanks in advance
41. Someone asked you before if the kanohi elda could find other things besides the mask of life and you said no. i thought she used it to find other things like matoros spirit?
52. You also said that as of now the Toa Marhi have never been to Marhi Nui. Im just making sure, is this true?
63. Lately there has been a poster with a teaser about the Marh but it was in german. if you know anything about this will the american lego magizines get this?(i really hope there is. it looked like a good poster
74. You said next year we will see the masks: kanohi tyrana, mask of kindred, and the mask of stealth. will we see these in plastic next year? 84b. If so which ones?
95. Is there a posiblitiy of having a Toa team of non-basic elements? (say plasma, gravity, magnetism, green, and some other odd ones all in one team?)
106. Is S@Hs bio correct in saying that Dekar is a strong ally of the Toa Marhi? 116b. If yes then how can that be? the Marhi dont show up until summer thus they cant be in the story until summer so dekar cant be there ally until the summer so... how can that be? 126c.will it be like last year as in its all about the bad guys until the 3rd book?
13thats all for now and thanks again. atlas

141) Doesn't allow her to find his spirit. Allows her to see it if it's there. If it's not in the room, she has no way of knowing where it is. 152) Yes 163) No, it's not planned for the US magazines. It's something the German marketing team paid for. 174) Yes 185) That is totally up to the set designers. They would have to design six Toa in six different colors from what we have now. 196) I don't see the problem. Do you think Dekar will be dead by summer or something? 206c) No. The bad guys only get one book to themselves, because there are only three novels in 2007, so the Mahri have to show up by the second one.

2Some questions for Official BoM Topic... :)1. Who assigned the BoM members to their regions? 32. Is the Piraka home region of the rebel Makuta Zakaz? 43. Does Zakaz have Matoran residents? 54. Makuta are assigned to Matoran filled islands?

61) Whichever Makuta was running the BOM at that time 72) Zakaz is an island, not a region 83) No 94) Makuta are assigned to regions, not specific islands. If the island falls within their region, then they are responsible for it

6QUOTE 7Hi Greg, Happy New Year and all that thing, just wondering whether I could ask a few questions.
81) The colour-coded zamors (gold, silver and bronze), we know that the gold zamor is used in Bionicle Legends#3, but what of the other two, will they ever be used or do the power desriptions have nothing to do with the storyline?
92) Will the Dark Hunters be seen at all this year since you said some of 2006's characters may return? (This is noted towards the Piraka)
103) About Atarhka and Kazarhni (sorry if i've spelt them wrong), are they in proximity to each other or are they very far apart?
114) Will this year have a three way titan combiner like 03, 04, 05 and 06?
125) If the Barraki get back to the surface, will they try and gain larger armies to defeat the BoM or Toa?
136) In Bionicle Legends#5, Lhikan appears to the Inika as the returning hero, does that means he can leave the Moli's services and roam free again?
147) Now that the Moli is with the Barraki, do any of the agents know? (Umbra, Protodax, Lhikan etc)

151) Since they are part of 2006 storyline, and we are now onto 2007 sets, no, it's doubtful they will appear in story. 162) Too soon to tell, to be honest. They may, but probably on the website. 173) Geographically? 184) No idea. That gets decided by the set people in Denmark. 195) Yes 206) No. That Lhikan was an illusion conjured by the Mask of Life. The real Lhikan would have joined with the Inika, not tried to talk them into turning back. 217) How would they? It's underwater, they are not.
#7254
1I had an idea about said power. Well, its power is to reanimate the dead, right? So, would he be able to bring back, say, Makuta or Lhikan?
2-Z-

3No. His power is to animate the shell with artificial life, he is not actually bringing the person's spirit back. And Lhikan's body is long gone, so nothing to reanimate, and Makuta's not dead.

4*smacks forehead* Forgot Makuta's alive. So... they're sort of like zombies?
5-Z-

6Yup, kind of, or robots, depending what analogy you want to use. They aren't living beings and they don't have a living being's intelligence.

7Suh-weeet. So what happens when Mr. Ice Toa (or anyone with this mask) stops using this power? Would the reanimated corpse keep going, or just drop, or what?
8-Z-

9They'd go back to being dead.

2Hello Mr. farshtey: I'm quite confused with the matoran war and some other things. I was hoping you could clear my mind up a bit. :)
31. Somebody asked you if the Matoran war took place in metru nui and you said yes. How/why did it start? 4Are the matoran of metru nui still on strike?
52.Do the turaga know what happened to jaller and co.? 62b. Does Nokama know?
73.Is toa voriki a canon toa?
84.Are the piraka waiting for the inika to come back to voya nui? 94b.Are the inika coing back to voya nui? 104c. if not, will the ignika's journey lead the inika to the Mainland?
115.What happened to the Makuta of metru nui?

151) Hasn't been revealed, and no 162) No, none of them have any way of knowing 173) No. Voriki is a fan creation that dates back several years, he is not a part of official storyline 184) I can't answer this 195) His armor was crushed by a door. 1Some more information... :)
2Some questions... :)1. In my last PM, you mentioned that Makuta look over regions, not islands...So the region that the Makuta of Metru Nui looked over only contained the island of Metru Nui? 32. Did the rebel Makuta look over a region that contained Zakaz? If so, are there any other islands in the same region? 43. Is there a OoMN member in Metru Nui right now and alive? 54. Is the Jailor the only OoMN member we will see next year? 65. What is the title, or working title, for BL8? 76. In one of the PMs you sent to a member, you said that the Inika are not mutated, but they are damaged...Damaged meaning injured? Or were you confused with the Ignika being damaged?

81) Yes, because there is only one island in that dome 92) There are other islands in that region, but we don't know that that Makuta oversaw that island or simply visited it from his own 103) Quite possibly 114) No, because Brutaka showed up in Book 6 126) Meant Ignika

11. When you said if I could give you some context about the Toa of Gravity, I was referring to the one in BA10. Lariska told TSO that she had assassinated a Toa of Gravity and that his (the Toa's) island's Turaga had fled. I was asking if this Turaga had been a Turaga of Gravity. Was he? 22. When you said that the old names of those few Matoran are still canon, but you cannot publish them anymore, does that mean that they actually went by the old names while they were in Metru Nui?
3Here's some new questions.
43. I noticed a NEW PAGE in the Official Greg Discussion topic where someone asked if the Inika would be mutated and your response was "damaged but not mutated." Someone else said you might have misread Inika as the Kanohi Ignika. Did you mean the Mask of Life might be damaged or that the Toa Inika might be injured? 54. In LoMN, Turaga Lhikan carries a miniature version of his Greatswords. If his Greatswords were left in Vakama's foundry when he was taken away, then where did he get his shield and staff? 65. In MoL, when Takanuva shoots a beam of light at the scupture of a maskless Toa head at Kini-Nui, why did he do that, and why does part of it fall off to take the shape of Takua's mask? 75b. Since part of Kini-Nui was already built when the Toa Metru arrived, was that sculpture among the parts that were already built? 85c. If so, did whoever build that sculpture design it to take the shape of Takua's mask if Takua ever transformed and did that? 96a. Since we have already seen what Toa Norik and Toa Iruini looked like, does this mean that the other four Toa Hagah carried spears and Rhotuka shields? 106b. Did they also have gold and silver armor? 117. I heard somewhere that the Rahaga could only be cured if Roodaka launched another mutation spinner at them, which she would never do intentionally, of course. Is this true, or would they mutate further? 128. In LoMN, when Makuta impersonates Dume, he is shown carrying a staff. Was this Dume's staff, or was it a staff that Makuta already had? 139. "Web of Shadows" portrays the Toa Hordika as having one weapon-hand and one normal hand. I expect this is non-canon, like the Rahaga with propellors. If I am correct, did the Hordika have two weapons that they carried in their hands, or were these weapons part of their hands? 1410a. Sidorak is shown to have the ability to fire red energy from his herding blade. Is this canon? 1510b. Roodaka and Keetongu's weapons are shown as staffs, while the sets show them to be attached to their arms. I expect the filmmakers did this so that they could show Roodaka and Keetongu holding things, which would be difficult to do with their weapons for hands. Is this canon? 1610c. What is the weapon that Keetongu has on his left arm? 1710d. I have read that both the movie appearances and set appearances of characters are official, but the movie appearances are generally more official than sets (apart from certain characters in WoS, of course), because of the fact that they show muscle tissue, normal hands, and expressive faces in the films. Is this correct in any way? 1811. We have seen some Kahgarak that are blue and white (these are combinations of the Boggarak and Suukorak sets) and others that are blue and gold (these are the ones in the playsets and the one that appears in WoS). Are there any other colors that Kahgarak can be?

191) Not necessarily. Most Matoran settlements are not set up so that all Matoran live in one village with a Turaga who matches them. That happened on Mata Nui because of the district set up on Metru Nui and the fact that there were six Turaga. Most Matoran cities are like Metru Nui, with only one Turaga. 202) No, it means we had to retrofit them with the new names because we can't use the old names 213) I meant the Ignika 224) Odds are he picked them up somewhere after escaping prison 235) That part was built before the Matoran arrived there. As for why he did that, I would have to assume it was instinctive. I had nothing to do with writing the movie, so I don't know what the screenwriter had in mind 246) I have no idea what the other Hagah looked like, since they don't exist as sets 257) It is true. If she shot a spinner at them and desired them to look as they did before, then they would 268) No idea 279) The book had to be in line with the movie, because it was based on the movie script. In the end, sets take precedence over story. 2810) Yes 2910b) See answer to #9 3010c) Don't recall 3110d) In part, yes. The movies show them as having organic tissue, which they do have, and the sets do not show that. 3211) Don't know, I don't think visually, I think in words, so I don't picture things when I write about them.

1Hi, Greg- just a few questions on the Barraki:
21) How does Takadox hypnotize people? 31a) How long does it last? 41b) How does a hypnotized person act? Are their personalities affected, or are they just mindless zombies? 51c) Can Takadox hypnotize more than one person at a time?
62) In Barraki Revealed, you said that Pridak was "extremely fast underwater." How fast are we talking? Like, so fast that he's just a blur?
73) How does Mantax's lightning conductor tentacle work?
84) You said that Takadox prefers to work with Pridak, while Carapar works best with Kalmah. Wouldn't Carapar be with Takadox, since he's always doing his dirty work?
95) Pridak can bite through BoM armor, yet you said that protosteel is stronger than BoM armor. Can Pridak bite through protosteel as well?
10Thanks Greg:

111) Takadox's hypnosis works pretty much the same way normal hypnosis does. The conscious mind goes to sleep, the unconscious stays awake. A hypnotized person is not a mindless zombie ... which is why it is so difficult to get someone to do something they morally object to under hypnosis. And yes, he can hypnotize more than one person at once if they are both looking at him at the time. 122) No, we are not talking super-speed here. We are talking Olympic swimmer 133) Basically like a lightning rod. It catches the lightning and redirects it so it doesn't harm him 144) But Carapar doesn't like Takadox, for just that reason, so why hang out with him? 155) No

16A few things clarified about the Barraki- Pridak can't bite through protosteel, everyone looking at Takadox when he's using hypnosis gets hypnotized, Carapar doesn't like Takadox, and Pridak is fast, but not super fast.

1There is on thing that i noticed, Pridak can't bite through protosteel, but Ehlec's weapon CAN cut through protosteel.

2But Pridak can tear BOM members armor -- that's probably quite hard to do. And maybe they're made from protosteel, too, don't know. 3My bad. Hadn't read last page's final post ^_^;; 4BTW,
5The Barraki seem to complement each other's strengths and weaknesses. For example, Mantax cannot be harmed by electricity, and one of the other Barraki (I forget which one) can only be harmed by it.
6That's Carapar. 7Khote

11. Solid protodermis, Brotherhood armor, and protosteel have been used as standards of strength (as in "a Level 6 Kraata with such-and-such power is strong enough to melt/cut/destroy solid proto", for example). Could you rate them from strongest to weakest, so we can better gague characters' powers/weapons? 21b. What is the difference between solid proto and protosteel anyway? 31) Protosteel, Makuta armor, and solid protodermis. And protosteel is to solid protodermis what adamantium is to iron in X-Men.
42. Would you say Shadow Toa come from one of Makuta's abilities (like Kraata), a more scientific Brotherhood experiment or procedure (like the Exos or Morbuzakh), or something else? 52) I would consider it to be an offshoot of his mental abilities. I don't think you can call it an experiment, because he didn't experiment on the Mata. 62b. Same question, but for that fire entity that Toa Vakama fought - it's been classified as a Rahi on Wikipedia (I think based on BS01's info), but I'm starting to doubt that... 72b) No, that was a Rahi
83. Just how isolated was Metru Nui? In Adventures #5, it seemed like Nokama knew of nothing beyond the Great Barrier, wondering if "some other beings live in the world beyond". We're told Metru Nui was an important center of trade between a number of islands, but it's hard to believe that someone living there would be so ignorant of other lands (especially when that someone was a teacher). 93) True, but remember they were not sailing south. Every other island Nokama knows about is south of Metru Nui and so traveled north to get there. The Toa Metru were traveling east through the Great Barrier, and she had no idea what, if anything, was in that direction.

1Big bunch of Q&A...
GregF
21) Hm. Do you think it's okay if I put (XXX) into the Official GregF topic or elsewhere on BZP, or has your answer changed?
3ANSWER: Rather you didn't, at this time. 4Edited.
52) You have (supposedly) stated that TSO could be classified as a mammal. Does this mean that he's a Rahi?
6ANSWER: No. Matoran breathe air, so they are mammals too. 7Hmm. Well, on Earth, mammals have a few other characteristics: hair/fur, giving birth to live young rather than eggs (but of course, that's irrelevant in BIONICLE)...
83) Since virtually all Rahi were created due to the BoM's work, did the BoM have anything to do with the creation of 9a. Keetongu? -- Not sure offhand 10b. the Bahrag? -- No 11c. krana? -- No 12d. Visorak? -- Yes 13e. Zivon? -- Yes 14f. venom flyers? -- Yes 15g. TSO (assuming he's a Rahi)? -- TSO is not a Rahu [sic 16h. Manas (probably not, seeing as Karzahni -- who never heard of Makuta before Bionicle Legends #2 -- had lots of Manas at his place)? -- Would have to check 17i. Krahka? -- Yes 18j. Nivawk or his species? -- Yes 19Letter a'd be interesting, as it'd show that Mata Nui wasn't the only one who made his enemies...
204) Keetongu and Tahtorak come from the same island, correct? (Just making sure.)
21ANSWER - Yes, that is one of the islands Tahtorak can be found on 22One of 'em, eh?
235) If so, will we find out which island Keetongu is native to in the Atlas? (Again, just making sure.)
24ANSWER -- No, Keetongu's island is not in the Atlas because nothing is going on there 25Makes sense
266) Is Kongu's "shadow plague" (Bionicle Legends #5) referring to the time when Makuta infected Rahi and sent them against the Matoran?
27ANSWER -- No 28Really:
297) What happened to the Makuta who guarded the Matoran of Light (if ever one did)?
30ANSWER -- There isn't a Makuta for that region. 31I guessed...
328) Did the renegade Makuta go to Zakaz on his fateful mission, or did he go somewhere else?
33ANSWER -- All this info is in the Atlas 34Nice:
359) How many back-of-book bits have you actually written?
36ANSWER -- Back cover copy. None. 37Huh? What's this mean?
3810) How many actual 2007 book covers have you seen?
39ANSWER -- I don't see the covers until the book comes out. 40That's to be expected, but still...
4111) Do you know who won the Tahtorak-Kardas battle?
42ANSWER -- Hasn't happened yet, so no 43Too bad:
4412) How much of the Ignika's status does Makuta know about, or will we find that out in a book?
45ANSWER -- In terms of where it is now? He knows it's underwater. 46Wonder how he knew that.
4713) Does the OoMN have a single, centralized base, or do they have bases all over the place (like the BoM)?
48ANSWER -- Multiple bases. 49Same as the BoM. Good.
5014) Did Makuta create the Rahi Nui before or after his attack on Mata Nui?
51ANSWER -- Before 52Nice:
5315) Also, exactly how many Makuta show up in the Atlas?
54ANSWER -- Not sure what you mean 55Was the question that vague?
5616) Kanoka disk theory: After being launched, all Kanoka disks can (theoretically) be retrieved, power still intact, and then be used again. Correct? (Otherwise, I shudder to think of what would have happened if Vakama had simply launched the Disk of Time at Makuta in B2...)
57ANSWER -- Correct
5817) Will we find out exactly how the Avohkii Mask of Life was made (what it was made from, process, etc.)?
59ANSWER -- No. It's not relevant to the storyline
6018) Is the Atlas's name "BIONICLE World?"
61ANSWER - Don't know. That is the name some people say they have seen it under. 62Same here, that's why I asked.
6319) Are Pridak's teeth and/or shark tooth blade made of protosteel?
64ANSWER - Close to it. 65It wouldn't surprise me if Pridak's shark tooth blade is vulnerable to Ehlek's tri-talons.
6620) Will the "one case of immunity to the Pit waters' mutagenic agent" appear in a book? 6720a. If so, which one?
68ANSWER - Yes, in Book 7
6921) Did the earthquake that badly injured the Pit jailer have something to do with the Great Cataclysm?
70ANSWER - Yes, it was the same event
7122) Which book features the return of the Pit jailer?
72ANSWER - #7
7323) Who made the Barraki's squid launchers?
74ANSWER - Kalmah 75I'm sure that this was mentioned nice and loud elsewhere before...
7624) Are there any more than seven squid launchers in existence?
77ANSWER - I would assume he would make spares.

78Oh, and by the way,
Zev Senesca
7910c. What is the weapon that Keetongu has on his left arm?
8010c) Don't recall

81I believe it's been called a "blade claw" in the Encyclopedia.

1A Blade Claw? That's interesting. I don't have the Encyclopedia, so I didn't know that. There are a few other things in the Encyclopedia I'm confused about. I'll have to ask Greg about those things, too.

1I have a couple of questions about the rahi armys and I was wondering if they had been answered yet before I waste Greg's time. 2Also; Yes, I do know not to compare the real world to the bionicle world.
31: Do takea sharks share real sharks' ability to smell blood in the water? 4(I know this is unlikely)
52: Are all squid in Kalmah's army vampire squid? If not, are the squid in the launchers full grown of the species?
63: Are all of the rahi around the Pit mutated? If yes, are they mutated a large amount or are they barely mutated at all?
74: Do venom eels deliver their venom through their teeth or spines on their bodies.
85: Is the mutagen caused by the pit and/or a prisoner(s) or is it natural?

91. Probably, yes.
102. Kalmah's army isn't made up of vampire squids, it's made up of regular giant squid.
113.They're probably a little mutated, but I don't see any reason for it. They're already adapt to underwater.
124. Don't know.
135. Natural. :)
#7270
1Chrono rahi, those are some very nice questions, I doubt anyone besides LEGO employees know, so I would ask Greg ;) He doesn't mind questions as long as they aren't pointless ;) (and yours definately arent pointless =D )
2And Pridak you are probably right but I don't think that any of that is confirmed, so Chrono could check with Greg to be sure ;)
#7271
1you should really pm greg those qs, because those are really odd and hard qs really for any one but greg to answer.

Pridak master of Barraki

12. Kalmah's army isn't made up of vampire squids, it's made up of regular giant squid.

2Yes, Kalmah's army is at least partially made up of the same vampiric species of squid as are in the launchers.
3I was just asking if they make up the entirety of Kalmah's army and if the are at their largest in their launchable forms.
#7273
1Have any of you noticed that each bionicle canister set lid has a special feture? if you have, and you have a barraki than could you tell me the special feture for the barraki lid? oh and i tried to pm greg this but he didn't know.
#7274
1I'm not sure if these would count as special features. The Barraki canisters are opened from the bottom, and are tilting, but there is no "Try Me" feature or anything like that.

1Hey, I got a quote from Greg about TSO that you guys might like:
2Hello, Mr.Farshtey.
3I don't think this has ever been asked before, so here I go:
41) Do you plan on revealing The Shadowed One's real name any time in the future?
52) Can you tell me, why exactly did TSO change his name? Is there some dark secret in his past? Or does he just want to sound creepier?
6Thanks.

71) Not unless it becomes relevant to the story that I do so. 82) Many cultures, even in our own world, believe or have believed that someone knowing your true names give them power over you. It may be that TSO comes from such a culture. Also, if no one knows you who you really are, they cannot strike at your through friends or other people from your past.

9Interesting, don't you think?
#7276
1Interesting... So, The TSO is like the dragons in Deltora Quest, only much more evil...
#7277
1Or any being from Eragon.

1i too don't wantto waist gregs time, so culd someone answer my questions.
21. do the toa mahri protect mahri-nui?
32. if the barraki can't breath air, then how do they get the moli from deker?
42a. if disproven, can the matoran of mahri-nui breath in the water?
53.who are the toa mahri (thiugh i really doubt that greg or any one would comferm this.)
#7279
1Hey Greg. Just have a few questions regarding specific Dark Hunters in the Guidebook.
21) Is Tyrant (the guy that fell into the ocean) dead or alive? 32) What happened to Triglax (a DH mentioned in BA10)? He wasn't in the guide (probably due to lack of an official model) but what has he been doing in the last 1000 years? 43) Where's Lariska? She wasn't in the DH Guide, so does this mean that she's on an important mission? Or is it due to lack of an official model? 54) Has Conjurer woken up from his coma yet?
6Thanks,
7Bionus

81) Oh, I would say alive. 92) Not something I have been worrying about, to be honest. 103) It was due to the lack of a model for her. 114) No

1QUOTE 2Hi Mr. F, 3I know I've PMed you about four times before many many months ago, but I was wondering: 4Do the Toa Inika get affected by the waters of Mahri Nui at all? Do they undergo any sort of transformation? 5Thank you, 6YWN.

7The Inika will not be affected by the mutagen in the waters.
