1I don't see why people think it's weird that the battle is going on all year. It's not like they will literally be fist-fighting in all the comics, but it'll be like the Visorak or Bohrok; they are the two factions and it'll be fragments of the battle all year.

4I don't see that as being a problem. The "battle" would most likely be broken up into parts, with the initial conflict happening in January, which could be interrupted by a number of things including either Mata Nui or Makuta gaining the upper hand and the other retreating, or a third party interrupting the battle. Then a little while later they encounter each other again and finish it. That's the only reasonable way to stretch it out imo, because just saying that they are battling continuously for months wouldn't make too much sense.
1Well, of course small sets sell better than large ones. They cost less, and they're easier to build and transport. To the average BIONICLE buyer who needs something quick, what better?
