1GREG FARSHTEY!!!! Oh wow!!!surprised:LaughingThis is so cool! I do have a few questions for you.

2Question 1: Was it hard to think of all the different character names for Ninjago and BIONICLE? 'Cause it is to me.

3Question 2: So if you wrote the Rebooted series, you know how it is going to end? (Don't tell me the end though!!!)

4Question 3 When you designed all of the BIONICLE characters, were the LEGO sets just like you imagined them?

5There are probably more questions on the way.Joking

1Dear Mr. Farshtey,

2 Hello, my name's Kyle and it's an honor to meet you. I've been a huge bionicle fan since I got into the story in 2006, and like many people I was disappointed to see it go in 2010. Is it okay if you answer some questions of mine?

31) Are Toa physically stronger than Glatorian, or is it the other way around?

42) I seem to recall you stating that all SM inhabitants have a metallic bone structure. At least, that's what it says at BS01. Is that true? It should be true, given that the Glatorian's weapons are made from animal bones and thus had to have been metallic to survive a millenia, right?

53) Would an Agori/Glatorian have a shorter lifespan if they chose not to recieve implants?

64) Were Guardian and Lariska the only Dark Hunters helping the resistance during Teridax's Reign, or were there more?

7Thanks for taking your time to answer these!

8Your fan, Kyle

9The metal bones make sense, as the material of the Glatorian skeletal structure would have to be very dense to be able to maneuver on a planet with such intense gravity.

1 3) And therefore what is the canonical version?

2By the way, in a former post on this chat, you had answered me this :3Q: "On BIONICLE movies, Kanohi restranscribe feelings of characters. Meanwhile, in your books, you suggest the face is under the Kanohi, and that he isn't animated. Which version is canon?"4A: "Mine is, basically."

5And you reply here "all masks" in your answer, but the normal masks have never been expressed emotions in your books and you affirme this in the past. I'm confused ^^'

63) Both have to be considered official, they are simply different artistic approaches to the same story.

74) What do you mean by "normal masks? Because the characters in the second, third and fourth movies that wore Kanohi all showed facial expressions, and the novelizations of those movies would also have referred to facial expressions.

83)Of course, there were several different artistic interpretations, but there well is an official storyline, a canon version of facts, overhanging all the others in a canonical way, decided by yourself and the storyteam when BIONICLE was still active, right?94) When I talk about "normal masks", I include every Kanohi masks except the Kanohi Nuva.

103) I see this as similar to Batman -- there are countless different "official" versions of Batman's look, and none is considered more or less canon than any other. It would be foolish of us to take the position that the comics were less canon than the movies, or vice versa, because it would devalue whichever one was less canon. It is simply different arttistic ways of conveying something based on the demands of the medium.

114) Then my answer stands. There were numerous references to expressions in books that did not have the Nuva in them.

1I personally have no issue with this, but I also know very little about web design, or what other problems might be involved. I know in the magazine we are not supposed to show sets or minifigures that are no longer available for sale, because we get complaints to Customer Service from kids and parents.

2Are you considering talking about it with anyone else? As long as people understand it's purely for archive purposes...

3I really doubt there would be much official interest. The line is not active, so there is no budget to set up an archive online.

2Not that I recall.

61) BIONICLE names were very hard. I don't come up with the Ninjago names, except for a very few.

72) I don't write for the TV series

83) You have it backwards. The sets were designed first, then the characters.

1Me again...

21. BS01 is currently having a discussion about makuta's shapeshifting and telepathy powers.... are they just kraata powers, or do they have shapeshifting and telepathy powers that are in addition to the ones afforded by the kraata powers?

32. What would a psionics nova blast do/look like?

43. BS01 currently says that wielders of psionics can't absorb mental energy... but couldn't they do so, with the result being dreamless sleep or something similar?

1And yet it has been stated multiple times that only certain Matoran are destined to be Toa. If, for example, the Inika were only destined to be Toa because they chose to seek out the Toa Nuva, then at no point prior to that decision being made could they have been destined to be Toa. And that does not seem to jibe with how it has been presented in story, that certain Matoran are destined from the start to be Toa.

2So what would have happened if some other matoran went to voya nui instead of the inika?

3How does a toa know which matoran to give a toa stone to? (other than lhikan and the metru, we know he was mentally influenced in that case).

4During creation of a destined matoran, how could the great beings/mata nui ensure/know the series of an events that would ensure they would do what they intended? (the inika as an example again: when matoro was created, how could they insure that he would one day travel to voya nui to use the mask of life?)

1in the bionicle story, the toa nuva are supposed to be significantly more powerful than the average toa, yet the story seems to demonstrate that they are about the same power levels as many other toa (i.e. the Toa Inika, The Toa Hagah, etc.).  Are these teams just as strong as the Toa Nuva?  My theory was that the Toa Mata were weaker than the average toa as a result of the canister degeneration (like what happened to the Matoran of Metru Nui) and that the Nuva transformation restored their power and gave them new armor and tools to boot.  Could you possibly tell me what, canonically, the more significant toa teams power levels are?

2My second question is about Mahri Kongu's original toa tool (the one he discarded in favor of 2 cordak blasters).  Would his original weapon have been a piece that was a new, original design (like the rest of the Mahri), or would it have been a weapon that was used in a previous constraction set?  If it was used in a previous set, what piece was it?

2I would think that the idea to fulfill ones destiny would be implanted in the minds of the beings in the MU.  Ones destiny is not set in stone however, the decisions made in ones life are what determine said beings true destiny.  No one can predict what their destiny is, because it changes based on what that person does in their life.

1 Hi mr Greg
2In the BS01 it was mentioned that Mata Nui has created the makuta by transforming the antidermisse liquid to the solid state. Does this mean that Mata Nui has the ability to shape the material as he wants?

2 Every article of media which you're referring too, including original Bionicle.com art, animations, videos, games, and wall of history transcriptions, BionicleStory.com serials, podcasts, information, scans of building instructions, and comics can be found at The BioMedia Project; a quick Googe search will direct you to its site.

3I never said video games, and I'd rather not rely on fans to get my Bionicle nostalgia back.

2In my opinion Bara Magna was crippling the Bionicle theme, not many new Bionicle fans were rising. So when it came to make the last wave of Bionicle (the tiny versions of real heroes and villains) the theme had already been dying. I agree, they could of ended it a lot better, but it HAD to end some point. No theme rules forever my friend (even though I wish it would).
