1Here is the question I asked Greg today.
2Hello Mr. Farshtey, this is my first time Sending a note to you and I just had a few questions. 31. Since Lewa's Air katana was broken and new one was made for him, is this new one in the same shape as the old one? 42. Is it possible that The Mask of life might shatter after it is used to save Mata Nui? 53. Can the Skakdi wear masks? Is so how? 64. Is it possible that Spine Slugs can affect species besides Skakdi? If they can how?
7Thanks for the time you spent reading over this:

"Greg's reply

81) Yes 92) No, it didn't do that when it was used for that before. If it shattered, the power of life would be unleashed all over the universe, which would basically make everything chaos 103) Skakdi do not have the mental discipline to use masks, so they don't wear them 114) I doubt it, most species do not have exposed organic spines

#8922
1Probably nothing new but I'll post this anyways
2Two more today, Mr. Farshtey
31) When will Bioniclestory.com have anything on it? (except the vid) 42) What will be on it?

5I have not yet received the wireframe that will list everything that is planned for it. Since I don't work on the website, it is managed out of Denmark, I don't have info on when things are going to go up.

1I just PM'ed Greg. Here's a copy:

2Hello:
3I was just wondering if you might be able to answer one question for me. Have we seen Mata Nui's body yet?
4Thank you:

6Actually, on second thought, I can answer you -- answer's no.

1Hello, GregF. I have some questions on the news update.
21. Could the creatures found dead in the waters where destral was be Kratana?
32. Did Axonn want Tahtorahk off Voya Nui so it would be as it once was? (like the Bohrok on Mata Nui)
43. Now that the Tahtorahk is on Xia, will it fight the Kanohi Dragon?
54. Was the BoM member trying to get the Krahkaan back to the Makuta of Metru Nui?
65. Will the Nuva fight the DH, or will they try to avoid notice?
7and some additional questions.
81. Is Vohrahk's hunger power similar to the way the Sea Squid feed?
92. Theoretically, could you make a weapon that launches Kratta at targets to infect them?
103. Storyline-wise, does Carapar have two pincers or one? 113A. And does Kalmah, storyline-wise, have one double tentacle or two single ones?
12Once again, thank you for your anwsers:
13~Shadow Rahkshi

141) Nope 152) Nope, he wanted him off because he's a handful 163, 5) Sorry, I don't want to give away future developments 174) Not necessarily back for him -- remember, his current body cannot wear a mask, and his armor is destroyed. So he can't use it.
181) Yes, in some ways 192) Sure you could 203) Two, but he detaches one to hold a squid shooter 214) Kalmah matches the set

22Carapar cut one of his claws off? interesting...

23he didn't "cut" it off, he just "dropped" it or chose not to hold it
24EDIT: wat's with the quote boxes?

25it is part of his hand, not a sword,so he did cut it off.anyway,

261:what is karzahni's "trap thingy",really?(in the set)

272:can you tell me some about gadunka?(other than the fact he used to be a one-inch species, then transformed by the MoLi???)

283:does the ignika look like it does on VNOG, the vezon set, or the barraki mini-movie/comics???

29thanks for your time, Greg.

1You need to PM your questions to Greg, pizzaguy101. However, I can answer your questions here and now:
21. It's what it says it is; it's a trap. For it's purpose, we'll have to wait and find out. 32. Gadunka thinks that the Ignika rightfully belongs to itself, because it sheltered under it before it was transformed. 43. The Ignika can have many forms, just like life itself; all three versions of the mask are canon.

1I sent these, but haven't received any answers, so here they are again. 2Hello, just a few questions to answer if you don't mind.
31. I read that someone sent you destiny questions, he beat me to it. But can destiny be cheated in Bionicle with anything, like the Mask of Life?
42. Do you believe in destiny in reality, as in it guides our whole lives, not only part of it is destined, but the whole thing? 52a. Do you believe that only parts of our lives are destined, the rest are free will?
63. You told me before that the prototype squid launchers that you used worked well, have you used Cordax Blasters like that yet? 73a. If so, did they work well?
84. Would you say that there is a posibility of a Bionicle tv show? Just curious if one was ever considered.
95. If there would be one, do you think you would write the script?
106. Have you visited this forum yet? I'll give the adress since I don't know how to hyperlink on this site yet. http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=248167 If you haven't, could you if you had time, it's pretty interesting with the ideas, and I'm working on some during the summer, just thought I'd mention that. Could you let me know what you think of the idea?
117. Do you have the release dates for the Mahri? 127a. Hydraxon, Gadunka, or Maxilos and Spinax?
138. Out of the Inika/Mahri, who do you think is the most strategic?
149. What happened to the original 7? Why was it cancelled?
1510. Have you ever heard of the ancient Japanese, or maybe Chinese game called Go?
16That's it for now, thank you.

171) Good question. Can you cheat destiny? Or is the destiny you achieve by "cheating it" what your true destiny was all along? 182) I believe that our lives are on a path that goes to a certain destination. If we choose, we can leave that path for another, which will go to a different destination. I also believe a lot of the unhappiness in the world comes from people not walking on the path that is right for them. 193) No, never played with those 204) The idea has come up, but never gone very far. One of the major issues with it is that to make a successful TV show, you have to be able to sell it overseas. And a lot of countries won't air a show based on a pre-existing toy line, because they see it as just an ad for the toys. 215) No idea. 226) I will check it out later 237) Official release date is 8/1, which means in stores usually in July sometime 248) Jaller and Kongu 259) Due to a decrease in book sales, Scholastic decided to go to a one every three months schedule for the novels, instead of one every two months or so, which meant one book had to be dropped from the schedule. 2610) Heard of it, not familiar with it

1Hello: So sorry to bother you but There are Some story point question that have be bothering me. Thought to ask you about them.
21. Since Mata Nui is dieing/dead, how are the Toa Nuva going to complete their destiny to save him? Is it possible by the use of the Vahi to it pull off (Ie Reverse Mata Nui's presonal time to a point where he is fine) Or by some other force?
32. Will Dekar/Hydraxon be returned to normal Matoran form when the mask of life believe he has served his purpose? Would the same apl for the Toa Mahri?(Except they would gain the ablitly to breath air?)
43. Brutaka is the pit area but how much is he effected by this, since he is slightly resilant to the mutogen?
5Thanks in advance: 6~Matthias.

71) The Vahi can't do that. It can speed up time or slow down time around a target, it cannot make time go backward. As for how they will manage, you will have to follow the story and find out. 82) Same answer. I am not going to give away the end of the story in June. 93) It obviously worked on him in some way, because he was able to breathe water in Book 6. How much more it will work on him we will find out if and when he reappears

1IMO, Brutaka ended up becoming (along with Vezon, the Piraka, and the Dark Hunters) a background villain.
2Basically they can can show up in the storyline to "spice" :D things up during the resolutions of the year's main storyline (you know, the stories in between the end of one year's storyline and the beginning of next year's storyline).

1Hi greg, just some stuff:
21: Have Artahka and Karzahni ever met the great beings in person? 31a: More than once?
42: Do the Xians still have the kanohi dragon? 52a: Did they sick it on the tahtorak when it went crazy?
63: How far are you into bionicle legends 9? 73a: What comic is sayger working on right now?
84: I know I am probably annoying the heck out of you, asking stuff like this, but here goes: What is the name of Toa Mahri Hewkii's weapon? 94a: Does it have any special abilites?
10Thanks in advance:

111) No 122) Yes 132a) I can't discuss future storyline 143) About 6000 words 153a) #10 164) I haven't released info on the weapons yet

17Well, just some stuff...
#8933
1Hm, looks like he isn't all that far into BL9 yet.
#8934
11) Will he still be reffered too as Makuta in the story by non-BOM members? 2And another question- 32) Is there something in the story line one of your predacessors have done that you wish they hadn't, or something the story team decided before you arrived that you wished you took part in or something like that.

41) Yes 52) The major plot point I never liked was Vakama turning evil in 2005. I never felt that fit his character and it is not something I would have done, given the choice. But it was a story point that came out of the movie development and I was overruled.

6Stupid movie makers with their stupid movies and stupid Vakama and stupid evilness....
#8935
11. Do you already have a name picked out for him? 21) Yes
32. If we knew his real name, would he still be referred to occasionally by his title? 42) Yes, only the BOM will know his real name in the story, the Toa won't
53. Do any of the characters know where Mata Nui is at this point? 63) Only the Great Beings
74. Is there actually a way to Mata Nui? 84) Can't answer it

9:Venomess:

1I actually thought that Mr. Farshtey fitted the "Vakama turned evil" part in very well. Especially in BA #10 -- Makuta's realization in the end that Vakama "had looked upon a darkness as deep as any Makuta had known, and yet somehow turned back to the light" instantly promoted Vakama to ultimate greatness among the ranks of Toa, and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that Vakama was fully worthy of the title.

1If a Toa Hordika completely succumbed to the rahi side, would he have to let it happen, or would it take over witrh out the toa's mental consent?
2Since Axonn was able to heal Gali's mind, does it stand to reason that he could (temporarily) restore a hordika to it's right mind?
3Did The Shadowed One change his name because it wasn't evil enough to suite his tastes, or why?

41) It would not be by choice 52) Hard to say -- the question is, would he have a right mind left at that point? 63) In many cultures (and evidently in his), the belief is that someone knowing your true name gives them power over you

3It's funny, jets, because when I first saw him say he disliked Vakama turning evil, those were my first thoughts. :P I really don't think Time Trap would be as good as it is now if that never happened. After all, he wouldn't be able to fight in that cloud of darkness Sentrakh placed on him, he would never know about the old pipe that led from the Great Temple . . . it would be a completely different story.
4Anyway, here are my latest answers:

51. Just clarifying: I'm assuming the Inika were in the water at the time of their transformation; basically, the Ignika transformed them before the mutagen could take effect on them, right? Or was there little to no mutagen in the water at that part of the cord? 61) Your former theory is correct
72. About elemental masks (not sure if you can answer this one): could one be created by molding a mask out of normal, powerless protodermis and have a Toa add a good deal of elemental energy to it? 82) No, I don't believe so. If Tahu blasts a mask with fire, he's going to melt it. If he puts Toa energy rather than elemental energy into it, he creates a Toa stone, not an elemental mask

1Something I was just thinking baout hwile browsing about the forums...
2Since the Toa Mahri have been mutated to only breath water, does that mean that they can only breath surface water, or are they able to breath in the silver sea and similar bodies of water?
3Thanks for your time.

5They can breathe any water

6Just something I wanted to know, might be important, might not.
#8940
1Not much.
2Hello Greg: How ya doing? Just had a few questions pop into my head.
31) When the Inika were mutated in the water by the Mask of Life, had the giant Venom Eel just cracked open the cord?
42) Will the giant Venom Eel obey Ehlek anymore?
53) Assuming Brutaka is alive, is he plotting revenge?
64) Why did Karzahni go to Mahri Nui? He could have conquered Metru Nui or numerous other places with his Matoran-Manas army, and then gone to Mahri Nui.
75) Why didn't the Toa Nuva loot the weapon cache in Mangai? If they had when Makuta had been defeated, things may have gone off better. i.e. no Vezon.
86) Are any Zyglak in Metru Nui or in the Maintenence tunnels?
97) If a Zyglak basically said, " Who cares what the world thinks?" and went off to do good, what would his species, and other species, do?
107b) Could he become a member of the OOMN?
118) What is the Av-Matoran in Karzahni doing now?
129) Will he jog the Nuva's memories?
139b) Same with Artakha?
1410) What all is on the Nuva's "Prepare the Universe for Mata Nui's Awakening" To-Do List?
15Thank you for your time Greg:

161) Not just, I don't think, but close to it 172) Probably not 183) I think he is busy just trying to survive in a hostile environment 194) True. But if he were to find out where the Mask of Life is, and what it is, don't you think he would want to go after it? Remember, he has no knowledge of the importance of Metru Nui 205) Precisely because they thought Makuta was defeated, so what did they need more weapons for? 216) No 227) If he went to do anything that would in any way aid those who follow Mata Nui, his people would kill him 237b) Highly doubtful he would ever live that long. 248-10) Can't answer these without discussing future storyline

27Just some more things based on this PM. I sent this, but I don't think you got it, so here it is again.
281. For cheating destiny, I have an example to base this question off of. In a show that I watch called Oban Star Racers, racers compete to obtain the "ultimate prize", a single wish. In the finals, there are 9 final racers. One of them is a magician named Sul. The second winner I believe has been corrupted and is watching the races in his prison. He predicts one of the racers to win, but Sul wins every time he predicts someone else. He then traps and presumably kills Sul later with his powers. But every time he says, "The wheels of destiny have turned at him." or something like that. Would something like that be able to happen?
296. You don't have to check it now, but just let me if you have. Please let me know when you get to look at it. I am working on Moc's I guess it would be out of the idea.
3010. If you get a chance, you should learn to play it. For a report I did in school about one of the pro titles, I gave a description of the game, here's part of it: it takes minutes to learn, but a lifetime to master. So it wouldn't take long if you'd have the chance. It's fun none the less.
31Now, some new ones.
321. When would you release Makuta's true name? I believe I read next year or something.
332. Who would you say is the darkest of the Inika/Mahri. I think Matoro for some reason, probably the part from Legends 7 that I've read.
343. If Matoro revives a shark, could Pridak control it, or wouldn't it listen to him?
354. Could Ehlek channel his electricity like an element, like through a weapon?
365. Have you ever seen the show Doctor Who? 375a. The Lost Room?
38Thank you.

39I sent answers to your old ones last night.
401) Next spring 412) Certainly his mask power would edge him that way, yes 423) No, it won't listen to him. It's dead. It follows the one who reanimated it. 434) No 445) Yes 455a) No

#8942
1They can breathe any water

2After reading that, I can't help but imagine Matoro with an upside-down fishtank on his head. :P 3Anyway, here's some old stuff:
4Hey Greg, recently you held a contest for the Lesovikk pic, pretty good questions. I have a question about #5: Does the sundial in MNOLG count as a time system thing? Is it canon or not?

5The sundial is canon, but it does not really change the trivia answer. A sundial can be used to track time, but we still don't know how long a year, a day, or an hour would be to a Matoran.

#8943
1Nothing too big.
2Hey Greg: Just two today.
31) Did Nidhiki become evil because he felt... incompetent to others and to himself and just succumbed to temptation?
41b) If this isn't it, why did he?
52) Can you give me a little personal info on Nidhiki, like you did with Sidorak?
6Thanks, Greg:

71) I don't see it that way. He was basically looking to save his own skin during the Toa-DH war, so he cut a deal.
82) I don't really have time right now, sorry, I am swamped

1Winner of the Nocturn Zyglak fight and part of Makuta's plan
2Hi Greg, it's me atlas. i just have a few questions
31. Do we just assume that Matoro finds out he's destined to hold the Mask of Life or is him finding out shown in the books/comics?
42. About comic number 8. Will we find out who trapped Mantax, Kalmah, and Takadox in the old pit?
53. Also about comic 8. When Nocturn opened the pit, Mantax never came out. What happened to him?
64. Will we find out who won the Nocturn/Zyglak fight?
75. Do the experiments the BOM is doing have anything to do with their grand plan?
86. Since the original BL7 was canceled, would someone who didnt go to BZP know what the Inika were fighting in the stone cord?
97. In comic 7, Takadox hypnotized Nocturn. Is he still tranced in comic 8? 107b. Was he ever tranced in the books? 117c. Does this trance have anything to do with Nocturn having the Mask of Life in BL7?
12That's all for now. Thanks in advance. atlas

131) He finds out in Book 8 142) Eventually, I hope 153) He did, he just wasn't shown doing it. With only 8 pages of story, I have limited space 164) Nocturn did 175) Yes 186) Yes, because it is mentioned in the beginning of the published Bionicle Legends 7 197) Takadox gave Nocturn a post-hypnotic suggestion, so he was not walking around in a trance. And it had nothing to do with him getting the mask, Pridak gave him the mask.

1If you can answer this group of questions (They relate to how Matoran (And other species) come into being) I would be very grateful. But considering the subject (One you wish to not talk about) I am okay if you don't. 21a: Does the creation of a matoran need other members of the Matoran species to work? 31b: If so, how many matoran does it need for the process? 41c: Do these have to be certian specific genders, or is it alright with any amount of each gender? 51d: If the process involves matoran, do they have to touch (Hold hands at the least) or is it elsewise? 62: Does any other biomechanical species use this same process? 73: Does any other biomechanical beings use biological means to reproduce, but it is not a subject popular among the age range aimed at so they have not (And probaly will not) be seen in the story. Am I correct? 8This is related to other matters story wise: 94a: Can you combine more then two Kanoka disks to make special powers? 104b: If so, what would happen if you combined every type of Kanoka disk into one and made it a mask? 115: The dead kratta mutants... Will we ever see them in the story again? 126: Toa Tuyet... Her mask. Will we see this power again? 137: Why did TT's story not involve any of the other toa? Were they fighting other problems? 148: Was the creature in her cell Botar? 15Sorry if you cannot answer the first few questions...

161-3) I cannot discuss anything have to do with how BIONICLE characters come into being. 174a) Yes 184b) No idea, it's never happened. 195) Not as corpses, maybe you might see living versions 206) No idea at this point 217) It states in the story they were away on missions 228) Yes

23Ooo, I thought it was just matoran that wasn't allowed to be revealed.

14) Nocturn did

2Not much of a surprise, seeing as he broke a whole freaking island with his bare fists.

5sorry,i forgot. thanks for the answers. ^_^

1Well now as I've read Prisonners of the Pit I have some questions to ask you (some have nothing to do with it though) 21. In comic 7 (I think) was it Makuta that traped the 3 Barraki in the Pit? 32. Do the other Mahri find out about Makuta in BL8? 43. Does Spinax know that Makuta is in Maxilos? 54. Will we see a Bohrok/Kardas fight? 65. What happened to Krakha (did she make it to Metru Nui)? 76. Don't know if you can answer this but in what order do the Mata go to the places in there mission: like for example Metru Nui, under Mata Nui, Karzahni, Odina, Atahka? 87. Will Metru Nui appear in the Epilogue of BL8?

91) Oh, really good guess, GB. Points to you. 102) You'll have to read Bionicle Legends #8 and find out 113) No 124) I don't know yet. 135) Yes, she did 146) They go to Metru Nui first, then to the Bahrag cage, then to Odina, then to Karzahni, and on from there 157) Yes, and the prologue

16Some interesting ansewrs.

1Been meaning to post this.

2Greetings, Greg. 3Hope you're doing well today. 4Just a couple of questions regarding Tuyet's Kanohi. (Hope you can answer them.)
51. Can you give a description of what the Mask of Inatangibility can do?
62. What is its Kanohi name? Are you allowed to tell us yet?
7Thanks in advance:

81) As the name would indicate, it allows Tuyet to turn intangible and pass through solid objects, then go solid again. 92) Doesn't have one at this point.

10Too bad it doesn't have a Kanohi name.

1Normally, I'd like to leave this up to interpretation, but there seems to be some confusion about Tuyet's death. Was it the Great Cataclysm itself that killed her? That is, the shattered remnants of the Pit's dome crushed her? Or, the only other possibility, was she killed, accidently or otherwise, but one of the other escaping inmates? Or have you just not decided how because you wish it to be left up to the viewer to decide - much like you did with what Tuyet did during her final moments?

2I think it is more interesting if it is left up in the air. Did she just die in the quake? Did she reform in her last moments and die fighting the escaped prisoners? After all, her stated reason for using the Nui stone was to crush the DH and the BOM, so she might not have stood idly by while the scum of the universe escaped.

3*shrugs* Just something small I wanted to know. Really, I like it better this way.

4Eh, I feel the same way. Better to just give us something to think about.

1Some stuff I asked Greg earlier. Enjoy:
2QUOTE 3Greetings. I have a few questions concerning the Vahki...
41. During the DH/Metru-Nui war, I would assume that the Vahki were out in full force, right? Now, what would keep an inventive or curious Dark Hunter from harvesting deactivated Vahki and bringing them back to the Dark Hunter Headquarters for research in the production of a mechanical infantry for future conflicts (like the DH/BOM war)?
52. On that note, if (and I do mean if) blueprints of the Vahki were situated in secure areas of Metru-Nui such as the Archives or the Coliseum, after the Great Cataclysm, what could possibly stop the Visorak (under orders of Sidorak or Roodaka, before Web of Shadows' climax) or the Dark Hunters (such as the one currently situated far below Metru-Nui) from acquiring these Blueprints as a means of adding some new technology to their war machines?
63. Are there still intact Vahki within Visorak cocoons on Metru-Nui? Would it be a safe bet to say that Dume and the Former Toa Metru will want to keep using the Vahki to protect Metru-Nui while the Toa are away? Or are Matoran engineers trying alternatives to the Vahki (Nektann or Boxors, perhaps?)
74. Vahki have preservation of "Peace and Order" as their prime directive, right? Well, assuming this is true, would they have needed to kill in order to enforce such a directive? And would they be inclined to find it necessary to slay a Matoran if this were the optimal path in following this directive with THE LEAST POSSIBLE casualties? This is before the Vahkis' safeguards were erased due to the Great Cataclysm's effects on the Vahki stations.
85. Are the False Bohrok on par with the Vahki in terms of AI, or are the "Fohrok" less able in this respect?
96. Why didn't Dume order more strict safeguards in the Vahki? I'm talking about implementing a Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics type (minus the Third Law)system whereby the well-being of Matoran would hold prevalence over keeping the peace. Or is that exactly the point? The Vahki would keep making less efficient decisions based on keeping a Matoran (or other sanctioned being) from harm? I take it that Dume really would have had to way the options here?
107. What was Metru-Nui's means of defense besides Toa in the ages before the Vahki, or even the Krahli for that matter? Did other friendly nations/islands lend their aid to Metru-Nui's defense (besides sending Toa to help, like in the DH/Metru-Nui war).

111) Nothing 122) Again, nothing 133) No, all the Vahki were destroyed, and the Matoran have no interest in recreating them. 144) Post-safeguards being destroyed, they were lethal, yes. Before that event, they were not, at least so far as Matoran were concerned. 155) Less able 166) It's a good question. I think to some extent it might go back to WHY they were keeping the peace -- it wasn't for reasons of love and harmony, it was to keep everyone working. And because that work was important to the well-being of Mata Nui, nothing took precedence over that. 177) They basically didn't need an organized means of defense prior to that. Metru Nui cut a deal with the League so it wouldn't be invaded, and until the League fell, it was keeping Metru Nui under its protection.

1Yes, Makuta did it.

11. It's apperant that a Toa of Magnetism could create a Force Sphere, but would he be able to control it?
23. Aside from being good, what are the prerequisites for being recruited into the OoMN?
34. Would the OoMN consider recruiting Keetongu?
45. What exactly does a mask of intangibility do, and how would it be used?
56. Since there are Vahki on the back cover of the DH Guide, might it be possible that, during the Dark Hunter/ Metru Nui war, the Hunters captured, and reprogramed several vahki for their own pruposes? (I know that was a typo, but i'm offering a suggestion to make it canon)
6thanks:

71) I think it would depend on its size 83) A willingness to leave your friends and homeland behind ... a willingness to do whatever is asked of you ... and sufficient power to do it. 94) I doubt it. For one thing, he's so well known by the BOM at this point that it would be impossible for him to be inconspicuous. 105) Basically, if you were using the mask, you could pass through solid objects, floors, walls, etc., and solid objects (like a thrown weapon) could pass through you. 116) Possible
