1Intersting, about the Takanuva bit. Maybe my theory is right, and he will learn how to use both light and shadow. That would make things exciting.

1New bit about the Sundial:
2Is the Sundial that Lewa had to store in the Archives Mata Nui?If not, does it have anything to DO with MN?
3Also,I have been trying to get this straight. So let me do it now.
4Mata Nui Is like Nothing we have ever seen in Bionicle before,Right? 5MN's location is easy to get to,but hard to know where it is.Is that also correct?

61) No and no 72) I cannot discuss the nature of Mata Nui 83) Yes

4Your welcome. The Mutran chronicles sound cool too. I wonder if they will be in wacky sentences, because Mutran is crazy.
#12216
1I wouldn't say that... Vezon is insane, but he doesn't speak funny... Or maybe he does, that's a matter of opinion. :P 2Then again, there are different types of insane...
#12217
1Vezon:Excuse me, oh brutal, blade-wielding, lover of gardening. I have never met any Makuta face to mask and wouldn't know one if he stepped on me and ground me into the dirt. I think maybe you wanted someone else ... I'm Vezon with an 'n,' you see, not Vezok with a 'k,' and -- 2Mutran:Me no want to go.(He can't speak like that,he's not totally crazy)

2Mutran: I expected these Matoran to be disiplined before you brought them to me, Antroz. The red one could use a bit of a touch up, I admit, considering that he scribbles a lot. He can have bat wings, maybe a second head: Perhaps extra limbs, he might need them. Oh the possibilities are endless: How does a spikey Kanohi and four blades for legs sound?
3Antroz: And I expected you to do what you do best, I do not care much for Matoran appearances more than you do with your Rahi.
4Chirox: Surely not, his Rahi don't shapen their claws even if their prey was in front of them.

9I can tell you it is not Icarax, and I can tell you it is a set-based character in 2008.

1Some questions I sent Greg in late December. Some may be outdated due to new storyline developments but still pretty iteresting stuff.
21a) When did the Makuta evolve from actual beings to energy? When they moved up from just making Rahi to protecting the Matoran? 31) It was not tied to their change of jobs or duties. It was simply a natural evolution, which most likely took place sometime in the last 30,000-40,000 years. 41b) Did Mata Nui let the Makuta evolve? 51b) It was simply a natural result of what they were. It wasn't something you had to give permission for them to do, any more than you give permission to an egg to hatch.
62) Did the Makuta ever have to deal with Zyglak, I mean physically fighting them? 72) I am sure they had run-ins with them, yes
83) Does this quote from Into the Darkness basically sum up the storyline from 2001 to 2007? "But his plan extended beyond just Mata Nui's defeat. No, it was a labyrinthine scheme; a plot that drew into its web multiple teams of Toa, Dark Hunters, Bohrok, Visorak, and more." (Dark Hunters: 2004, Visorak: 2005, Bohrok: 2002) 93) Yes
104) If Icarax does not believe in the Grand Scheme of MoMN , then how can he let him even come close to the Universe Core where Icarax can ruin the whole scheme? 114) Because of the nature of Makuta. Icarax cannot become leader of the BOM by sabotaging MOMN's plans. He can only do it by showing he has a better plan. If he sabotaged the existing plan intentionally, he would be executed even by Makuta who might agree with him.
125a) How far does the Makuta Power Teleportation work? Can a Makuta teleport himself out of the UC into the domes? 135a) Makuta's teleportation is not as powerful as Artakha's, so they cannot teleport in and out of the UC. 145b) Or even to the surface world? 155b) Not from the UC, no
166) Is the fact how MoMN seized power of the Brotherhood – basically a violent raid against all who opposed and the former leader- still an important factor for the storyline? 176) Yes, and will play a role in two of the three serials this winter
187) A small scenario: If the Ignika turns black, then all life energy is sucked inside the mask within a matter of seconds. Now if during these seconds the Universe somehow gets into balance again. Would it be possible that the Mask sends the Life energy it had sucked out so far returns it to all living beings? Or does nothing in this universe help if the Mask has turned black? 197) Once it turns black, nothing can stop it.
208) Do the Makuta know about their curse? 218) Yes
229a) You have said the grand scheme of the Makuta heavily relies on the exact timing. Is exact localization also a factor that the grand scheme relies on? 239a) Only insofar as you need to be in certain places to affect the timing of events 249b) Is the chance the Makuta want to take with their master plan a once-in-a-lifetime chance or can they go back to a certain point in their plan and start again? 259b) No, this is a one-time set of circumstances. 269c) Say the Makuta miss this exact timing would they even have a chance to take another breath or would they die? 279c) If the plan fails, it is highly unlikely any Makuta would be in a position to cause anyone any trouble
2810) Is "Ignition" basically the title MoMN gave to his plan? 2910) No
3011) Did the Makuta to make their plan work eventually have to find the Universe Core? 3111) Yes
3212) You have stated that the Makuta want to control when and how Mata Nui is awakened. I can understand they want to control the exact time the Great Spirit awakes. But what about the "how". Do you mean to say there are multiple ways to awaken him or are there different "constitutions" Mata Nui can wake up in. 3312) There is more than one way to awaken him, as we will discover this year. Under certain circumstances, they would prefer method A, unless a certain amount of time has passed, in which case Method B would be okay too
3413) What was the factor that determined the Makuta had to wait basically 1001 years before being able to finish the grand scheme? The creation of the Shadow Leeches? 3513) No, the arrival of the Toa Mata. The Makuta knew of their legend and their supposed purpose, but had no idea where they were or when they were going to arrive.
3614) I think Makuta has said several times that when the reign of darkness begins the Toa would get wiped of the face of the universe. Is this an instant effect if their plan succeeds or is he just saying that once the Makuta rule they will go after every single Toa and hunt them down? 3714) The latter.
3815) What do the Makuta "expect" from Mata Nui at all? To be alive so the universe does not end but to be unable to interfere with what the Makuta do? 3915) I can't answer this, but you will learn the answer before 2008 ends and it will impact future storyline.
4016) I found this question in the OGD: 41"1 what would happen to Mata Nui if the countdown finishes? 421) Eventually, he would perish if new life was introduced into the universe" 43Does that mean that Mata Nui would not be affected by the drain of life energy once the Ignika turns black? But when "his" universe is no longer his own, so when new life that was not guarded by him gets introduced there he dies? 4416) Answer's a typo - it should have read he would perish if new life was NOT introduced into the universe.
4517) Can Mata Nui be deceived when he is awake or can he even grow sick of his own universe? 4617) Can't answer it
4718) It is just a wild guess but were the Makuta (or maybe MoMN himself) responsible for the Great Disruption (probably as early attempts on how to influence Mata Nui's state)? 4818) No.
4919) You have said that Vezok and Vezon share their memories. So Vezon also knows about the inscriptions about the BoM on the Makoki Stone. Will the Order take advantage of this? 5019) They might, yes .
5120) How much in general do the Toa Nuva know what is really going on in the Universe Core? 5220) Nowhere near as much as they will wish they did
5321) To get it (finally) straight: The bad thing that would happen if all Av-Matoran died, is only that no Toa of Light could come into being and nothing more? 5421) I don't think I have stated that .... all Matoran serve some purpose in the universe, so the loss of a whole tribe will always be a bad thing, especially a tribe that knows the core and its workings as the Av-Matoran do.
5522a) I am not sure but the Toa Nuva Blog never stated where Onua and Pohatu used the Heart of the Visorak? Can you tell where they used it? 5622a) They haven't used it, they just retrieved it 5722b) When you said the conqueror of the Visorak horde was a summer set, did you refer to the Makuta who had once brought the horde under the control of the Brotherhood? 5822b) No. This is the Makuta who conquered the horde so they could be used by the Brotherhood

1hi mr farshtey, just a few questions. 21. Is there a reason that the OoMN brought Carapar and Takadox instead of the other Barraki? Ehlek would have been better for battle against the brotherhood and pridak hates the BoM. 32. could Energized protodermis cure the pit mutagen? 43. What areas were the Karda nui makuta assinged to (like icarax was the makuta of karzanhi)? 54. have all makuta created rahi, or was it only chirox and mutran?
6thanks:

71) Pridak and Kalmah would never take orders from Brutaka; Mantax won't work with Takadox; and Ehlek is too alien to work with the rest of the team 82) No, because if you aren't meant to transform, EP just kills you 93) I haven't revealed this yet 104) All of them have

1Hi Greg. Unfortunately I hit a roadblock in my theory, so I have a few more questions to help disperse it. Then I should be able to give you a break. :) 21) What would happen to the universe if the Core was destroyed (like with an explosion), everything thrown into mass chaos, resulting in the eventual death of everyone, or everything simply dying slowly? 32) How about if the Core stopped producing energy? 43) Can you tell me how long the Mutagen has existed? 54) When Makuta poisoned Mata Nui, did he know the extent of the damage that could result from the Cataclysm? 65) When Makuta poisoned Mata Nui, was it done indirectly? (In other words, did he attack something that he knew would hurt Mata Nui, instead of taking a random guess at his actual form?) 7Thanks for everything: 8-Ax-

91) If the core was destroyed, it would probably mean a gradual destruction of the universe as opposed to an instant one. 102) Pretty much the same situation 113) It's a very recent phenomenon, within the last 1000 years 124) He could make a reasonable guess, yes 135) I can't discuss this

14There we go, it was quite interesting to hear about the Core destruction. I think I have enough info for my theory... 15-Ax-

1Hi Greg
2Some new questions
31- Can the mask of intagability make someone invisible?
42- I once asked you if matoran can have romantic feelings for each other, you said no. But BS01 says that they can have romantic feelings for each other. So is BS01 wrong?
53- Could a midak blaster be used to launch something else than light?
6All for now

71) No 82) BS01 is basing that off of the old online games, which featured hints of romance because the web producer at the time wanted them to. There is no romance in anything I have done for BIONICLE and as far as I am concerned, it does not exist for Matoran since it can't lead anywhere. 93) No

#12229
1Server ate my last questions, so here are most of them again, and some new ones:
21. What's going to stop the members of Brutaka's team simply jumping Brutaka? 32. The Order has assembled the most untrustworthy team EVER. So, how can they trust the team? 43. Vezon doesn't have any powers, at all. How is he going to be usefull? 54. Karzahni is basically in a state worse than death now. Is there rally any reason why he's still being contained by the Order? 65. Icarax has obvious discontent at MoMN's plan, but follows the plan only because if he doesn't, he'll get killed either way. Correct? 76. Does Arthaka know about Karzahni's state? Or more importantly, would he care? 87. The MoLi is obviously going to be a major player juring the 09 story. Is he going to curse the Summer Makuta as well? 98. Was MoMN's uprising against the original BoM leader a sort of civil war-like revolt, or was it simply a case that MoMN had a better plan, and the BoM leader got thrown out? 109. The Piraka really have the short end of the stick, next to Vezon. Is that Irony or just luck on Vezon's part? 1110. In the alternative universe, wouldn't the Mask of Life be silver, or nearing black?
12Thank you for your time.

131) What would that get them? Let's say Roodaka does that, and escapes ... then she gets tracked down by the BOM or the DH and gets killed. Let's say Spiriah slips away -- and then the BOM finds him, and he's dead too. 142) It's not about trust. It's about sending out people on a suicide mission whose survival really doesn't matter to you. 153) Wait and see 164) He still has power, plus he's insane, so he is still dangerous 175) Open sabotage won't avail him anything. His best bet is to advance his own plan and wait for the others to see that MOMN's is not the best way to go 186) Doesn't know, doesn't care 197) I cannot discuss summer story, but the Ignika curses you if you touch it when you aren't meant to -- who says the Makuta are going to touch you? 208) Follow the story and find out 219) Well, the Piraka went after the Toa Inika -- Vezon did not, nor was he with them when they got exposed to the mutagen. His "luck" was that he got to Voya Nui first and got made into the guardian of the mask. 2210) Would it? Since the Toa are a force for "good," how would their dominance be throwing the universe out of whack?

#12230
1I would like to see, I think this has been answered-What was said about the Inika turning black and what does it mean? I missed that completely...
#12231
1If the Ignika turns black, it drains life from everything in the Universe. :P

1Something I recieved last week, lol, and forgot to put up:
2Happy New year Greg: Just trying to get some info on the web serials for the winter:

3#1 - At the end of last year's Gali Nuva Blog, we learned how Tahu and Kopaka had been sent on a mission by the Order of Mata Nui to quell a series of active volcanoes on a southern islands. Now, the Order sends a bizarre team -- Brutaka, Roodaka, Makuta Spiriah, Vezon, Carapar and Takadox -- on a suicide mission to that same island to save a potential wild card in the conflict to come -- the original leader of the Brotherhood of Makuta:
4#3 (biocast) -- Takanuva journeys to Karda Nui through the unpredictable power of Brutaka's mask, only to wind up somewhere very different indeed -- a pocket dimension where Toa Nidhiki allied himself with Toa Tuyet (during the events of "The Many Deaths of Toa Tuyet") and killed Lhikan. Tuyet's power led the Toa down a dark path of oppression and murder, leaving the survivors of the Brotherhood and the Dark Hunters as the only force left to fight for freedom in the universe:

51)How many chapters will each of the serials have? Or is that something you havent thought about yet? 62)The island your fantasy team are going to: will it have a name? 73)Did Kopaka and Tahu have an encounter with this member? 84)Will we learn how Makuta of Metru Nui became the leader? 9a)Recieve the Krahkann? (BTW, was MoMN always in possession of the MoS?) 105)Will you be pulling a name out of approval for this island? 116)Reguarding the Takanuva Biocast: will this be in a parrallel dimesion? Cause if so, that'll explain it. 127) A little off topic- what are your new yr's resoutions?
13Greg, as a fellow author, I'm amazed at what you've done with the storyline so far, especially recycling all of these characters. You've done a superb job: KUTGW:
14Nick Silverpen

151) Don't know yet, that is up to Bink 162) Don't know yet 173) No. They had no idea he was even there. 184) Yes 195) See answer to #2 206) Pocket dimension, yes 217) Don't have any

22#7: Gasp: Holy Kaukau: Just playin with you guys
#12233
1But why would the Inika drain life from the Universe?
#12234
1If mechanized Lego model you made goes beserk, you would take it apart, wouldn't you? So if the Universe goes beserk and way out of balance, then the Ignika would "take it apart." :P 2Here's a quote:
3Makuta, of course, knew better. He had pieced together half-remembered legends, whispered rumors, even fragments of information retrieved in the long past raid on the island of Artakha. The Mask of Life was intended as more than just a cure all for the Great Spirit Mata Nui in the event of his illness. No, no, the Mask of Life was a quick solution to another problem altogether. The Great Beings had created a universe, but they could not be certain it would operate as they wished and if it did not, if the population plunged into war, if pestilence, and famine took hold, if all hope was gone, the mask would activate, draining all life from every being and ending the universe once, and for all time.

1Hi. Once again, I don't mean to be pushy, but this is for the BS01 wiki.

21. Four out of the six villages on Mata Nui had a military protecting them that was named- (The Ta-Koro Guard, the Ussalry, the Gukko Force, and the Sanctum Guard.) We've also heard in the past that Po-Koro has one and that they ride Dikapi. By this logic, Ga-Koro would probably have one, too. 3Now, I read not too long ago on Wikipedia that the other two were called the Motara Guard and the Naho Navy. I'm not sure if this was a fan's name for them or if they're official, but do you know?
41a. If they aren't already official, do you think they could be used as names for them purely on the wiki? They sound realistic enough and the words are official and everything.

52. I know you don't work on it, but I just thought I'd say that the new BIONICLE site looks great. It... Exudes classiness.

61) Never heard of them. 71a) If they're not official, I'd rather not have them used in a context that makes it look like they are. 82) I would suggest you PM Binkmeister and let him know this, he is the one who produces the site and I am sure he would appreciate hearing it.

9Uh, sorry for the four-day-late response. 10If I put up a template on the page stating that they were fan-made terms, would you deem it acceptable? (I know that Lake Naho and the Motara Desert are canon locations, so that's not an issue.)
11And two more questions: 123. Does Karda Nui have a dayight cycle like Metru Nui and other domes?
134. If so, does it have stars and/or sun-holes?

141) Fine if you make it clear they are fan-built 153) No 164) No

17I hate to bug you too long on one subject, but I've got a few more questions about the military on Mata Nui.
181. I know the Ta-Koro Guard is still being used on Metru Nui. Can the same be said for the other five organizations?
192. The Ta-Koro Guard and Gukko Force have been left leaderless now that Jaller and Kongu are Toa. Has anybody taken their places? 202a. If so, do you know who?
213. We already had official mention that Po-Koro's guard-force rides Dikapi, so that's been kept on the wiki. Bioran says that the Naho Navy, however, has no need to be there as we have no information on it besides a fan-made name you approved. (He wants actual storyline events and details.) 22Based on this old animation, it would seem that Ga-Koro Fishing Staffs (pre-Kohlii sticks) and sharpened bamboo poles were used as weapons by the guards in Ga-Koro. Would you consider this as a detail about them that could be posted on their BS01 page? 23(It's a minor thing, but I think the Naho Navy should be mentioned on BS01.)

241) Yes 252) I am sure someone has, but since I don't need it for story, it's not something I have worried about. 263) I have no problem with their choice of weapons being posted.

1Here's some good news for you guys; an analysis on what drives the Makuta. I love it that this story has gotten good enough to where you -can- analyze it :D
2My question is simple; We've known Makuta as a rule are highly intelligent, powerful beings. Now, as villians this presents us with a whole new kind of villian; evil-doers who don't just want pain, but have a concrete goal and can easily compromise to achieve it. I believe that your characterization of them has been as highly critical thinkers with a definate goal in mind, would this be correct? For example, the idea that they won't follow someone who does anything but give better reasons for their plan to work (ala Icarax) makes me believe they don't respect just pure power, but pure intellect and reason. An alternate comparison could be them as Kal; Highly intelligent beings created for a purpose, but when given power they realize they could rule by themselves and wish for more. Would this be an accurate comparison?
3In addition, is their higher goal basically to control the universe, to shape it in their own universe, or something like that? I mean, I realize they do it for power, but I don't know if it's the Matoran they want to control, or if it's just the universe they want. They have no respect for Matoran, so I don't know why they would really want them for anything but hero worship.

4This also makes it really hard for me to hate Makuta. I just love anyone who thinks intelligently, even if they are twisted and power-hungry.

5I would say it is a very accurate comparison and a very thoughtful analysis.
6As for their ultimate goal -- I basically see a few different things at work with the Makuta. The first is that they resented the fact that Mata Nui got all the honor and respect when they felt they did all the work, so they want to rectify that. And I think that has morphed into an absolute refusal to ever be "under" anyone again ... they don't want to answer for their actions to any being they consider inferior, and they consider all other beings inferior.
7I think you are going to particularly like one of the summer Makuta, who has supported the Plan and continues to do so, but also does it in a very fatalistic way -- he realizes that, if the Makuta win out, the universe will NOT be better off ... that while it won't be "doomed" in a physical sense, in a spiritual sense it will be. And he has no illusions about how much further the Brotherhood will plunge as a result. But he sees it as a runaway train now, that no single being can stop, and that perhaps his past actions mean he deserves no better than to live in the Hades that will result from the Plan coming to fruition.

1Some new things
2Hello Mr. Farshtey, I hope you're doing great. 3I hope you can answer these...

41.-Can Kongu actually do what he does in his game?(use his empty Cordak to give him impulse with air)
52.-Greg, with all respect and admiration , I think you made a mistake. When you introduced Lesovikk to the story, you revealed that the Voya Nui Matoran know him. But that is not possible, because those Matoran in particular were tricked by the Piraka and had never met a real Toa before the Nuva. Could you please explain this issue?
63.-Where did Toa Lesovikk meet Turaga Jovan? In the mainland?
74.-How could that happen?, Lesovikk met Jovan and didn´t met his Matoran friends?
85.-When Voya Nui rocketed to the "surface world", it did leave a hole in the "ceiling", right?
96.-The hole that Voya Nui made is still there, leaking water?
107.-When Voya Nui returns to the mainland, will it make a new hole, or will it return through the old one?
118.-I read that some squids are able to impulse themselves through a "valve" thing, can Kalmah, or his squid do that?
129.-Could you please give us a clue about the Metru Nui civil war? (political, economic or social causes), or a Matoran ambition that was too evil for their own good an the universe´s?
1310.-How could Lesovikk and Karzahni be so...sloppy...to just go into the sea if they ignored the existence of the Mutagen?
1411.-Is the experimentation with Kraata something new or old for the BoM?
1512.-How is it seen between members?(something revolting, innovating)
1613.-Is the Terrain Crawler unique in its kind?
1714.-How could a chamber be created in the Cord (for the TTC) if it was made from a lava leak?
1815.-And how did the TTC get into it?
1916.- (And more important perhaps :P ) How did Axonn know of its existence?
2017.-Why does Karzahni doesn´t want light to go into his realm?, or was someone else who put the barrier 21anti-light?
2218.-Can Dekar be considered a Vezon Hydraxon?
2319.-How could the Power Sword be tempered to withstand xtreme temperatures and the AquaWarblade be designed for a master warrior if they were made by the Ignika?
24That´s all, thank you in advance. I hope you can answer all of them :)

251) Not something I've thought much about. I suppose if the designers are working on the assumption that the Cordak uses compressed air to fire its missiles, then arguably you could make a case for it being a means of propulsion.
262) Actually, no, I didn't do that. Let's go over what has actually been stated in text: 27-- The Matoran present on Voya Nui when the Piraka attacked had not seen Toa before. 28-- Sarda (and Idris) have met one before, Lesovikk. 29-- Lesovikk knew Jovan at some point.
30So is there a contradiction here? No, and her's why:
31It has been stated previously that Turaga from a number of different islands sent Matoran over the years to Karzahni -- this includes the mad Turaga from Lesovikk's land who dispatched Sarda, Idris and others. Sarda and Idris and a number of others, including the Voya Nui Matoran, all wound up being shipped from Karzahni to the mainland - but they did not ORIGINATE in the same place. That's important. Garan, Balta, etc. originally came from a land where there were no Toa -- Sarda and Idris came from a place guarded by Lesovikk. They all wound up in Karzahni and then all wound up on the mainland together, but they were not native to the same place.
32Lesovikk obviously met Jovan, but it is never stated he met him when he was a Turaga -- far more likely he met him when Jovan was a Toa.
33Are/were there other Matoran besides Sarda and Idris who knew Lesovikk? Yes, some in Mahri Nui. There were also Matoran who died in Karzahni, died when Voya Nui broke off and died when Mahri Nui sank, so how many of Lesovikk's original Matoran still survive at this point is unknown. Note that when Defilak first meets the Mahri, he indicates that he knows what Toa are, but never mentions Lesovikk or having seen one before.
343) He never met Jovan as a Turaga. He met him when he was a Toa before Jovan was on the mainland.
354) See answer to #3. Lesovikk quotes something Jovan said to him once, he never says he heard it from a Turaga. Sarda heard Jovan repeat it as a Turaga.
365-6) Yes and yes
377) Follow the story and find out.
388) I don't know what it is you're referring to.
399) Not something I have bothered to flesh out at this point.
4010) Two answers -- how would they know of it? If there is a dangerous substance in the water at the beach, can you tell with your naked eye? And even if you assume they did know, do heroes and villains routinely shy away from their goals because the environment they have to go into is dangerous?
4111) New
4212) Necessary.
4313) Unique in its modifications
4414) Why do you assume that a rock formation formed by a lava leak couldn't have a chamber form naturally? All rock formations, including tunnels, caverns etc. in our world formed naturally.
4515) Axonn put it there
4616) See answer to #16. Axonn obviously knew of the cord, since he opened it for the Toa, and he knew of Mahri Nui, and he knows what has to be done to return Voya Nui where it belongs. So it makes sense he would know what was in the cord as well.
4717) I do not see Karzahni as constructing that. I see it as more likely the OOMN did that to keep Matoran of Light out of Karzahni's realm.
4818) I suppose
4919) If you accept the Ignika made them, why do you have a hard time with the idea it made them well?

5017 51how did the crazy 1 get there then

1Wrinkled Lion X, how did you find those old animations?
