1Hi Greg, just wondering something
2I've just seen Celestial Dragon's tantilizing review of BA#7 and was wondering if you are now able to identify the Visorak King, and if so, who is it?
3Thanks in advance :D

4Yes, it's Sidorak

5Finally: Confirmation:
6(Runs off to Official Visorak Topic...)
#3002

11.

25. Do the Visorak Rhotuka hover above them for a moment, then shoot off, or do they rear their abdomen up and the Rhotuka shoots from the cavity in their abdomen?
35) They shoot from their launcher, which is on their backs.

4I'm sorry, I didn't make myself clear. In the set, since the Rhotuka is flat on the Visorak's back, it is in such a way that if it were not for the will control, the only direction it could go is up. So what I'm asking is:
5Does the Rhotuka appear in the indent on the Visorak's back, hover up above it while it charges, then shoots off,
6Or does it rear itself so that its back faces its target (lifting its hind legs up and basically jamming its nose in the dirt), and shoot it so that the Rhotuka shoots with the "top" visible, then straightens itself out once it's released?
71) Visorak do not charge their spinners the way that Toa Hordika do, so there is no need for it to hover. They do, at times, hover when the Visorak are trying to intimidate a foe
8Well, it's AN answer
92. When will we first start seeing Keetongu?
102) Keetongu makes his first appearance (in terms of being shown while being talked about) in March. But he does not really come into the story until the movie.
11Well, at least we don't have to wait till November to actually see him.
123. Since you say that pretty much every Rahi that has ever appeared in Metru Nui was basically fleeing from the Visorak, are all Rahi from one large environ that the Visorak dominate, or are they like the aliens from Independence Day, hopping from environ to environ, infecting whatever crosses their path?
133) The latter.
14Which raises the question...how do they get to other environs? Since they don't look like very good swimmers...
154. When you say that being hit from two Stun Staff hits would fry your brain, how so? Would you...

  • 16Die?
  • 17Go into a coma?
  • 18Wander around utterly mindless?

194) You would probably be pretty much a vegetable
20Scary
215. Is there anything that is immune to Kanoka powers beyond the EP Entity?
225) Not that we have seen so far
23That would be...interesting.
246. Storyline-wise, are the Kanohi that line the Kanohi Dragon's back actual masks, or just scales that are shaped like Kanohi?
256) No one knows. That is part of its mystery.
26~sigh~ At least I tried...
277. How far along are you with the Encyclopedia?
287) I'm working on it.
29Not what I meant.
308. About how thick is the Rahi Guide (assuming it's done)? The size of past guides (which aren't that thicker than the novels), or a decent-sized book?
318) No idea, it is still being laid out.
32Darn...
339. How instantaneous was the change from Toa to Hordika? Was fairly long and painful, like most Earth venoms, or fairly quick, like an hour or so?
349) Fairly quick
35Cool
3610. Are Iriuni and Norik's mask powers ones we already know, or brand-new, never-before-seen powers?
3710) They are powers you have not seen in mask form before
38But are they powers we have not seen at all in the Bionicle world before, I wonder?

4He always says it that way. We'll probably get a Shrinking Kanohi and a Reconstitute at Random Kanohi or something like that. Which is fine. As long as it's not Removes Poison or something like that. At least they'll be new shapes. :D
#3004
1Yeah, that'd be cool, maybe we'll see teleport or shrinking Kanohi..

9Well, it's AN answer 10... 11I think I can answer what Greg didn't there, with something he's said in the past - Rhotuka can be changed direction mentally, so even if it does launch vertically, it can curve and aim horizontally as it keeps going, sorta like how a missile is launched.
12Also, if I'm not mistaken, the Visorak's back is somewhat tilted, right? So it doesn't launch totally vertically, it does go off in one direction. The aiming up is probably to counteract gravity in the set version. Since the set version can't exactly mimic the mind controlled feature of the story version. ;)

1Hi. Just one Q:
2What would happen if you dipped a Matoran in EP?

3Thanks:
4-Kualus-

5Depends. If it was his destiny to be transformed, he would be transformed -- (into whatever his destiny called for). If it was not his destiny to be transformed, he would be destroyed.

6Well, it's useful. Sorta. :D

1Just a couple ?s relating to a story I'm writing:
21. What are the limits of Makuta's shapeshifting powers? We have so far seen him assume many forms, but he is obviously not nearly so powerful as the Krahka...
31) I don't know that I would agree with that. Krahka can only take on the shape of things she has seen -- Makuta, however, can become things that only he could ever imagine. So far, we have not seen any limit to his abilities.
42. How long can Vahki function? Will they continue to function as long as they are not injured, or will they eventually rust, rot or fall apart on their own?
52) I think it is reasonable to say that they will last a long time, as long as they have access to a power source.
63. Can you tell me how many matoran (roughly) lived on Metru Nui before Makuta's plan took shape?
73) 1000
84. Do the Rahaga's staffs have any special powers, or are they merely tools for self-defense and other mundane functions?
94) The Rahaga's staffs are mainly used for luring Rahi in one way or another -- if you check out the Official Rahaga Topic in Stories and Theories, details of the staff powers are given in the first post, I believe.

10A couple interesting replies there, and #2 will have significant impact on my epic that i'm writing.... 11:evilgrin:

1here some guestions from gregf
21. ive heard some places that toas norik and iriuni will be more expensive than the hordika. is this true?and if so how much are they exactly?
31) As far as I know, they are not more expensive. Since no pricing info has been released by LEGO Company, anyone who is telling you they know the prices of these items is making it up.

42. Are norik and iriunis spears identical? 52) Don't know, have not seen the sets
63. you probably cant anwser this but, how long in camparison to lihkans boards, are these spears? 73) Again, haven't seen the sets so cannot compare
84.are these new kanohi powers, powers that weve never seen before or powers weve just never seen in masks? 94) Powers never seen in masks
105. in metru nui, how do the 2 suns move if they are holes in the ground? 115) Can't answer it -- relates to future storyline
12i thought 5 looked kinda interesting::: :o

1Greetings everyone...I saw that this is a place where we should post questions we've asked Greg...here are the ones I've asked, and if the text looks funny, it's becuase I'm not sure I've figured out how to post quotes yet. :3

2[QUOTEHello: I heard round the forum that you are the guy one should see in order to get questions answered about the lore of Bionicle. I don't want to bug you to much, but I did have a few questions I would like answered.
31. In the kratta packs you can find "wild" kratta that create different rahkshi, but can't be bought anywhere. Storywise, can these Kratta use a normal, buyable type of rahkshi? For instance, could a Bright Yellow/Black kratta that has the power of insect control utilize a Turahk "body"?
42. How would one go about making a rahi of their own design "official" Are there going to be any more "make your own rahi" contests? I missed the last one.
53. How long do things like masks and disks last? I.E., if you left a kanohi out in the jungle, how long would it remain in working condition before rusting, corroding, being eaten by wild rahi, etc.
64. Lastly, can kratta utilize their inborn powers without wearing their rahkshi armour? So like a kratta with quick healing could heal itself away from it "body"?
7Thank you so much.

81) No, not effectively. 92) We do have a "make your own" contest of one particular type (not Rahi) in the January LEGO Magazine BrickMaster edition. I don't have any more Rahi contests planned, though we may well do another one in '06 because the first was so popular. 103) Oh, a pretty long time. The Kanohi masks the Toa found on Mata Nui had been hidden for centuries. 114) I believe it was stated on BIONICLE.com that they can.

1QUOTE 2hello again
31.are the krana related to the toa through something else(like cousins)
42.are the toa and rahkshi/kraata related
53.if the six bohrok-kal powers combine does it make proterdermis
64.is becoming a rahaga a bad thing
75.was nidiki a matoran
86.do the rahaga have powers
97.are you planning on closing down bionicle any time soon
10thank you for your time

111) Not to my knowledge, no 122) No. Kraata come from Makuta and Rahkshi are just suits of armor 133) No 144) Yes 155) I have no info on Nidhiki's past other than his having once been a Toa 166) Other than their spinner powers, no 177) Only reason BIONICLE would ever stop is if the sets stop selling.
18Greg

19:huh:   :( :) :D :P interesting

nazet
14.is becoming a rahaga a bad thing 24) Yes

3Not very surprising; given their experience, they'd be much better suited to take on the Visorak as Toa (think: They have elemental powers:). Also, given the fact that you can't change back from a Rahaga into a Toa (found somewhere in this topic...), one would rather want to stay a Toa.

1Hello, Greg: :)Happy... Whatever holiday is closest:
21. If the "suns" on Metru-Nui don't move, since they're in the "ground/roof" basically, is it possible that the island of Metru-Nui rotates somehow or other?
32. How do the sets get into the storyline? Do you guys write the storyline, and then the designers make sets that fit the characters? Or do the sets get made, then the story?
43. Do you know for a fact what's with the Red Star? (Even if you can't reveal what it is.)
54. Do you like writing Roodaka?
65. Is the Toa Norik and Iruini story only for telling about the Rahaga's past? Or is there more than just their past being told?
76. Can Roodaka fly? (Just wondering, lol. )
8Thanks, Greg: :)
9~Roodaka

101) Can't answer it 112) It varies. The way the process is supposed to work is that the sets come first, and the story comes second. However, prior to 2006, it hasn't always worked that way. In some cases, the story team has gone back to the designers and said, "Change this and that." On my end, I am usually working from the sets first. 123) Yes 134) Oh, yes, I love writing Roodaka 145) Well, it lays the groundwork for some other conflicts in the movie 156) Not on her own, though she has occasionally used a Nui-Kopen for transport
16Greg

17Well, that's interesting the Roodaka rides a Nui-Kopen. She seems a little big for it, though.

1:silver: Info from the Commander:
2:silver: Yo Greg: I have a question: 3You said:
42) In the US, they will both be out in August. Toa Iruini will be available everywhere. Toa Norik will be available in Wal-Mart only, as part of a special store exclusive two-pack with Toa Iruini.

5My question: Will Toa Norik be available via Shop at Home, because I usually avoid Wal-MArt. Thanks:

6PS: GO GREG::::

7I would assume he would be, at some point. SAH usually gets the exclusive sets as well.

#3014
1I think you guys will find this info very interesting...
2SPOILERS: (Possibly)

3Right to the asking...

4One quick point on the Encyclopedia -- it will contain info on the leader of the Dark Hunters and his chief guardian. I just wrote it today
5Greg

61. Will we be seeing these two this year? They sound cool already... 7(I really didn't expect there to be a leader...)
82. Will they be sets? (Refering to the above^)
93. Will everything from this year be in the Encyclopedia too?
104. Will the Ecyclopedia have pictures of the things, provided images 11exist? (Toa Metru, Toa Nuva, Matoran pics etc.?)
125. Will all the Rahi be included too? (In the Encyclopedia)
136. If so (refering to #6), will the info of them differ for the Rahi Guide?
147. Does Sidorak have any... distinguished powers?
158. Does Roodaka have any distinguished powers, besides her rock, her 16Rhotuka catcher and launcher?
179. Is Roodaka's/Sidorak's Rhotuka launcher artificial?
1810. What book/comic will Keentongu first be revealed?
1911. Is Keentongu a cool character?
2012. Will Keentongu have a natural or artificial launcher?
2113. Does Keentongu have anything to do with the Rahaga?
2214. Who do you like better, Roodaka, or Krahka?
2315. While wandering around Metru-Nui, will the Hordika and Rahaga 24remain together, or will they seperate into groups of two? (One Toa, One 25Rahaga?)
26Thanks:
27<BH>

281-2) I am leaning toward putting them into Book #10 yes, and yes, you will see their models this year and you will be able to build them this year.
29Models? Book 10? This is going to be very cool...
303) That's the plan. Right now, the only thing I know of that will not be in the book will be a lot of the Matoran from the online games. Their names were never run through any legal or copyright checks, so I cannot use them in printed material.
31Sorry for any MNOG2-only Matoran fans.
324) I think that is the plan, yes.
33Cool...
345) Yes, plus some that are not in the Rahi book, most likely.
35Yay:
366) In some cases, possibly.
37I see...
387) His primary power is his spinner, which commands obedience from anyone it hits.
39Sidorak Power info: That's pretty cool... Sounds like a more painful 40version of Nuurakh's power... (Imagines being hit by a flying Rhotuka...)
418) Yes. Roodaka can blast shadow energy out of her hands.
42Oh: Oh: Good info here:
439) I believe so.
44Imagined so.
4510) Well, his first appearance is in the March comic, but he doesn't really enter the story in a big way until Book #9/the movie.
46Not to far away but still seemingly distant...
4711) I think so.
48Good to hear that. When Greg says something is cool, it usually is...
4912) His is natural
50I see...
5113) Can't answer that
52Hmm... I'm taking that as a possible yes but it has something to 53do with the Rahaga...
5414) Oh, that's a tough one. Roodaka is great fun to write, but I can't help but have a soft spot for Krahka, since I created her. She was the first totally new character I ever got to create for BIONICLE.
55Both are cool, just wanted to see who Greg likes better.
5615) They separate for part of the time.
57Expected so much.
58Greg

59Cool, eh? Comments in red. Answers in normal. Questions in black.

1SPOILERS:: DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS FOR WEB OF THE VISORAK::

21. Was the fire being in fact a creation of Makuta's? Or was it like the EP Entity, and just hooked up with him? Or didn't it serve him at all? 31) I don't believe it was connected to Makuta, no, I think it was just something he ran across and put to use.
42. What about the sonic creature? Where did it come from? 52) Created by the mutant Lohrak
63. Will we see any more 'Entities'? 73) How can I answer that? I usually don't know what I am going to write until I start writing :)
84. Where did all the mist covering Metru Nui come from? 94) From what I gather, it is sort of something that "comes with the Visorak." It may be that they need a slightly different atmosphere than Matoran do.
105. Okay, about the Visorak's spinners. So far, four of their powers have been revealed:
11? spinner (?): Burns through objects like acid. 12? spinner (Vohtarak): Causes burning pain in any creature it hits. 13? spinner (possibly Keelerak): Paralyzes whatever creature it hits. 14? spinner (Suukorak): Creates a cage of electricity that stays with the target wherever they go, and contracts every time they move.
155a. Can you reveal the other powers yet?

165b. What about their names?

175c. Who does the 'acid spinner' belong to? 185) I am going to give this info to BZP at some point to put up.
196. Can the new Vahki fly? Or was that something else changed by the overload? 206) No, they can't
217. I liked the part where they healed the ash bear. Did Nokama tell Gali about it on Mata Nui, or did the latter Toa of Water figure it out for herself? Also, I'm guessing the bear was Graalok? 227) I have no doubt Nokama passed on knowledge, and yes, it was meant to be Graalok
238. "Matau looked by far the worst." You've said Matau was one of the worst affected by the transformation. Now I'm wondering, did you mean mentally or physically? 248) Physically

251. Ah, so like the EP entity. 262. Hmm. Interesting. That thing's still out there; wonder if the Hordika will run into any more? 273. Man, I hope so: Those things are cool: 284. Cool: 295. Well, I didn't get anything, but at least it's coming. 306. Ohhh, so that's why they went crash-bang (as Matau would put it) when they dropped. 317. Nice. 328. Oh. I thought he meant mentally.

5Sidorak Power info: That's pretty cool... Sounds like a more painful 6version of Nuurakh's power... (Imagines being hit by a flying Rhotuka...)
78) Yes. Roodaka can blast shadow energy out of her hands.
8Oh: Oh: Good info here:

9Ooh... very cool. Roodaka shoots shadow beams? Nicey nice. And Sidorak's spinner power seems neat too. :D

1I think these recent PMs are the best news I have heard all the time I have been here on BZP. I am lookin forward espeically to the Dark Hunter's Leader.
#3019
1Yes. 2005 sounds good...
2So here's what I'm wondering; how much will we learn about the DH Leaders? 3And the DH? Perhaps we will hear about how Krekka and Nidhiki came to become 4DH? Maybe we'll see the Hordika and the DH join forces...Nah.
5Like that would happen.

1New info from the master:
21) Will we ever see a battle between Tahtorak and Zivon? 31) Yes. BA #8.
4:huh: ... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:::::::::::::
52) Will Krahka/Tahtorak/Zivon be in the movie? 62) No. Krahka is a character I created, and Zivon is something we just created end of last year.. so neither would make the movie. And Tahtorak is a fan-built model, we don't have rights to use it in the movie.
73) Roodaka's rhotuka causes mutations, right? 83) Yes
94) The Visorak are Rahi? 104) Yes
115) I assume you can't answer this, but Roodaka mutated the Toa (Norik and company) into the Rahaga? 125) Not answering this one yet
136) The biggest set you talked us about is the Colisseum? 146) It's the Battle of Metru Nui set
157) When we will see the mutated Lohrak? Or they where those electrical serpents in MoS? 167) Mutated Lohrak is in BA #7
178) It's named "Kanohi Dragon" because it can use the powers of the Kanohi? 188) No
199) If the Toa's rhotuka have their elemental powers, how Whenua and Onewa can use them? Throwing them to the ground? 209) Same way the other Toa use them -- you have to target someone and launch. If, say, Onewa launches his Rhotuka at you and it hits you, then you might suddenly be wrapped up in stone.
21Greg
#3021
1You don't have to answer this, just a chuckle: 2Einstein said: "Great Spirits have always been violently opposed by mediocre minds."Mata Nui is a Great Spirit, and Makuta violently opposes him, right? So does that mean Makuta's a mediocre mind?
3Now for the serious stuff: 41) Would Remove Poison work on Vissy venom? 51) Nope. Visorak venom does not kill you, therefore it isn't a poison.
62) Am I allowed to take a wild leap and guess that Toa Norik and Iriuni's masks have powers we have seen before, just not in masks (i.e. Kanoka...) 72) Not really a wild guess, I have already confirmed that to a few other people.
83) Storyline wise, how did the Kanohi Dragon get its name? 93) You will have to wait for the Beast Guide to find out.
104) How can the Vahki function at an increased power level without the city power grid? 114) Read BA #7.
125) So the figures in the BoMN sets are basically Hordika-shaped chess pieces in terms of functionality? 135) Yup
146) Do the comic-version Hordika have ripcords sticking out of their torsos all the time? 156) I believe so, because the artist's drawings always have to match the toys.
167) Since Dume has (I assume) a 24-hour Vahki guard, how did Makuta replace him? 177) Actually, the real Dume did not have a 24-hour Vahki guard -- what would he need to be guarded against? He was a benevolent ruler who was loved by his people
188) When the Olda were floating around out in the ocean, at the beginning of '01, were they all together or spaced around Mata Nui? 198) I believe they were pretty close together, based upon the '01 animations I saw.
209) Do YOU know the details of Niddy's past, like how he quit the Toa, etc.? 219) I haven't made them up yet
2210) 11 Toa, including Lhikan, fought the Kanohi Dragon, right? And Toa come in groups of 6, except for rare cases, right?6*2=12.We're short a Toa.Does this mean that Nidhiki DIDN'T fight the K. D.? 2310) I never said that he did. I never said that he didn't. Lhikan summoned 10 other Toa because he felt that 10 other Toa was what he needed.
2411) Do you imagine sword-weilding Toa as having sheaths?Or do you stick with the movie version? 2511) Since the sets have no sheaths, I do not see them that way, no
2612) How do chute-riders breathe?I think it's been established (by the purpose of the Kanohi Kaukau) that Toa, etc. breathe. 2712) They don't. You have to hold your breath in a chute.
28... others are very philosophically well-balanced, like Norik .. and others, like Iruini, are really driven by a desire for revenge more than anything else. 29--Edited by Benmecha

3013) Iriuni? Revenge? Who? What? Why? 3113) Read BA #8 when it comes out
3214) How can the Toa hide the Kanohi (for the Olda) in places "only a Toa could reach" if the first thing they do is to awaken the Matoran? 3314) How do you know waking the Matoran was the first thing they did?
3415) It seems to me that there is a rising increase in overall Toa Power in the Bionicle world-- One Toa can make six (Lhikan). 3515) I don't see that as being a rising level of power -- when have we ever shown that six Toa were needed to make six? Besides, since we know each Metru does not have one-sixth of Lhikan's power, his power is obviously only a trigger that kick-starts their transformation and they then have Toa power of their own.
3616) Why can't the Matoran on Metru Nui (under the good Dume) make machines do their work for them, besides mask-making? We know they can, by the existence of the Vahki. 3716) Probably they could .. humans probably could too. But then what do you do with your time? Sit around? Like humans, Matoran have the need to feel they are accomplishing something. Having robots do all your work for you produces a soft, lazy society.
3817) Any news on the infamous "Roodaka/Vakama Hordika/mysterious green vapor" picture? 3917) Nope.
4018) When Dume surfaces later in the year, are the Toa going to see him as the impostor, the pre-impostor (real thing), or what? 4118) Dume does not come back into the story until 2006
4219) Talking Vahki? How? 4319) Read BA #7. I am not giving away book plot on here, it ruins the story for people.
4420) As someone who studies such things, how can Lhikan actually use those monstrosities they call swords effectively? I mean, pick up a 5-foot ANYTHING, be it piping, or something else. There is NO way it'll work: 45Just a note: I'm ranting at the set designers, not you. 4620) You are also applying human experience and scientific principles to a science fiction/fantasy universe. Perhaps if you were an armored biomechanical superhero, you could do that.
47Once again, thanks in advance:

48What I meant by #15 was the total amount of Toa energy (that we know of) in the Bionicle world. Lhikan put his power into Toa stones, and turned into a Turaga when the Metru were created. So you've got -1 Toa's worth for Lhikan, but 6 Toa's worth with the same energy? 49Could 6 Toa make 36 new ones, while turning into Turaga, by the same process? 50If the Nuva were to pass on their energy into Toa stones, how many could they make, because they have more energy than the usual Toa? 5115) As I said, Lhikan's energy served as a trigger -- almost as if you had a full glass of water, and one more drop was needed to start an overflow. So yes, were a Toa Metru to invest his energy into six Toa stones, he could possibly create six more Toa -- providing he had six Matoran whose destiny it was to transform. I do not think the Nuva could create more than six individually.
52Also, on #10: 53Were any of the 10 from his original 6-group? 54Were they just all the Toa he could find and recruit or did he just say, "10 should be good" before getting them? 5510) Most likely they did comprise his original group plus 5 more.

1Nothing radically new here, but Greg gave me some very useful clarifications.
21. From Harpo01's post in the OGD topic:

37) Does Makuta have all 6 Toa elemental powers? 47) No. Far as we have seen, he doesn't have any.
5Weren't all those attacks Makuta made on the Toa in the first few comics manifestations of his elemental powers? Gali being dragged down into the water, a wall of sand coming at Tahu, the volcanic eruption that Onua and Lewa diverted, etc.? I thought you had already answered that in the affirmative. He also did some things in Tales of the Masks that seem elemental (opening the earth for the Toa to fall into the Rahi Nui's cave). And how could Makuta have created the Shadow Toa if he didn't have those powers? I guess it wouldn't do for him to be able to get out of his protodermis cage on Metru Nui by using his own elemental powers, but I figured maybe it could only be opened from the outside... Anyway, I'm not sure if this is actually a question or just a despairing rant on my part, but whatever light you could shed on this subject would be very much appreciated.
61) I never saw Makuta's island attacks as manifestations of elemental power so much as his controlling the island. But I can see why someone would think otherwise. As for the shadow Toa, no elemental power was needed for that -- that was all about drawing out the darkness in the Toa and giving it form. He was using their own power against them.
72. And that kind of leads to this question: Does Makuta get out of the protodermis cage on his own, or does someone else free him? Do the Toa Metru go back and reinforce his cage?
82) You will have to follow the story for this one. We do reveal how he got out in 2005.
93. As I understand it, Visorak venom mutates Toa, Matoran, etc., into Rahi, but what does it mutate Rahi into? Weirder Rahi? Would Visorak venom affect Makuta?
103) Yes, most likely in a high enough does it would affect Makuta. And yes, weirder Rahi is a pretty good description. A lot of the time more dangerous Rahi, too.
114. How many passages from Mata Nui to Metru Nui are currently known? So far I can think of three. Takanuva illuminated a sea route from the gate in Makuta's lair. The Toa Metru took a sea route (a different one?) through a gap in the Great Barrier that emerged in the underwater cave that Nokama sent Gali into in Tales of the Masks. (Presumably that one is now closed off due to Mavrah's wild Rahi.) And the Toa Metru went toward Metru Nui through a labyrinth of Makuta's tunnels in Maze of Shadows. How did they get from the tunnels to the island?
124) By boat -- which they had to build when they got there, which is how Book 7 starts. How, when they had nothing that would float, says you? Never underestimate the dark twists of a BIONICLE story, says I.
13As for how many passages there are ... potentially quite a few. There are the ones you mentioned, plus who knows how many other Bohrok tunnels that lead up to the surface. In addition, if you had an airship that could handle the altitude and could get past other challenges (like water and ice), you could fly up through the suns if you had to.

14There ya go: I'd been assuming Makuta had all those powers, and writing my stories that way... guess I should have asked a long time ago. However, there's always an easy explanation for inconsistencies when Makuta is concerned: he's lying. :P The Shadow Toa answer was really fascinating, and it totally makes sense. It's a bit like the way Vorahk steals others' strength.
15And I thought the airship idea was pretty cool. B-) 16:kaukau:

1Yet another batch of answers from Greg:
2Howdy Greg: Just a few today:
31. How did the Turaga know so much about the Bohrok Swarms? They didn't have much experience with them, did they?
42. Is there only one squad of Bohrok-Kal?
53. What hope is there of the Bahrag being freed?
64. How old are the Toa Olda?
7Thanks
8Jabbadeep

91) In BA #6, Vakama gets a vision of what the Bohrok are there to do. It's reasonable to expect that over 1000 years, he got other visions, too.
102) Yes
113) Not a lot, unless the Toa figure out they are not menaces.
124) Oh, at least a few thousand years old.

11) Will we ever see a battle between Tahtorak and Zivon? 21) Yes. BA #8.

13. What hope is there of the Bahrag being freed?
23) Not a lot, unless the Toa figure out they are not menaces.

3This answer confuses me. Unless they figureout they are not menaces? They tried to destroy an island: More Bohrok qustions that can't be answered.
#3027
1Well, basically the Bohrok aren't evil... they just were awakened at the wrong time. And when the Toa Nuva and the Matoran leave Mata Nui, the Bohrok could do their job.

1To clarify Nuhrii (as if he needs any clarification), the Bohrok--and by extension, the Va and the Bahrag--were created for one purpose: to clear the island of Mata Nui to the "Before-Time", the time when Mata Nui was barren (no one knows when that was or when, how, or why vegetation began to appear). Makuta (who is obviously not above using such dirty tricks) awoke the swarms early, and the rest is history. 2Also, unlike Makuta and Roodaka (and most likely Sidorak), the Bahrag (and I may also add the Krahka) are NOT evil. 3Note that since the Olda were sent to awaken Mata Nui, the Bohrok chapter was totally unnecessary. 4Mostly (if not all) confirmed by Mr. Farshtey.

1No, I get that. I know the Bohrok are not evil, it is just, will they awaken the bahrag again?

1No, I get that. I know the Bohrok are not evil, it is just, will they awaken the bahrag again?

2Well, the Toa have the only way of unlocking them (As far as we know), their symbols. But they don't want Mata-nui destroyed, so no, I do not think they will unleash two very confused death chickens.

6I really dojn't need clarification. And I only said they COULD awake. But I don't think the Toa want Mata Nui to be "cleaned".
7NtM
#3032
1Well, I know you didn't...I just wanted to blab. 2Obviously, the Toa don't think Mata Nui has to be cleaned, but I don't think that they'll go out of their way to free two powerful beasts who have the potential to do Mata Nui-knows-what-else if released as a professional courtesy... 3To answer your question, Zivon, the Bahrag don't need awakening, just freeing. As To Kualus pointed out, we only know of one way to get them out of that cage--the use of the Nuva Symbols--and as I stated earlier, the Toa don't seem exactly disposed to free them.

3Hi. Just one Q:
4What would happen if you dipped a Matoran in EP?

5Thanks:

7Depends. If it was his destiny to be transformed, he would be transformed -- (into whatever his destiny called for). If it was not his destiny to be transformed, he would be destroyed.

1Here are two PMs I sent him a while ago.

2Hi there, Greg:I want to thank you for taking the time to respond to my last PM (twenty questions: Woo:), and hope you can find the time to respond to this one, as well.
31. I keep hearing about Ta-Koronan "lava farmers."What exactly do they do?I'm assuming they harvest the Mangai's lava, but for what purpose?
4ANSWER: Properly channeled, it provides heat for homes. Cooled, it can be made into things, the same way it was on Metru Nui.
52. Are the Toa Nuva more powerful elementally than the Olda and Metru?I know they have more control over their powers, but has their brute force increased at all?
6ANSWER: I would not say significantly so, no.
73. If Onua had his Pakari removed, would he still be as strong physically as Pohatu?
8ANSWER: Assuming another mask was put on him, he would be close but maybe not right at the same level.
94. A while ago, you said that there would be three major 2005 villains: Roodaka, the Visorak, and ___.Well, is ___ the Visorak king?Or does he fall under the category of "Visorak?"And is ___ another shock like Makuta, or a completely new character not connected with past villains? In other words, when confronted with this character's identity, will we say "Woah: What a surprise:I wasn't expecting that," or "Yay:A new character:"
10ANSWER: Can't answer it.
115. Any news on why Krekka hates Toa so much?Or is it just that he DOES, and that's that?
12ANSWER: Krekka is basically a bounty hunter, an occupation frowned on by Toa. His hatred no doubt comes from past encounters with Toa.
136. If a Reconstitutes at Random disk truly reconstitutes at random, then how exactly does a level 1 disk differ from a level 8 disk?Is there a smaller range of things to be reconstituted into for smaller disk levels? If so, then in some cases, if you wanted a very specific thing to be reconstituted out of whatever you hit, then wouldn't a lower level be more useful in some cases? And in that case, since Noble Masks are made from level 7 disks, and Great Masks are made from level 8 disks, then wouldn't a Noble Mask be more useful than a Great Mask in some situations?
14ANSWER: What would be different between a level 1 and level 8 RatR disk would be the SCOPE of the change, not the choice of things to be changed into. A level 1 might only change the Muaka's arm, where a level 7 or 8 would change his entire form.
157. Would a Reconstitutes at Random mask allow the wearer to shoot blasts of energy that Reconstitute things at Random?Or would it allow the wearer to Reconstitute at Random things he or she touches?Or would it Reconstitute at Random the wearer (kind of like Krahka gone insane)?
16ANSWER: It most likely would work over distance, yes.
178. Do elemental weaknesses (for example, Gali being weak to extreme heat or dryness) "come with the Kanohi," as Nidhiki would say?So, would Matau, after being Toa-ficated, suddenly develop an aversion to water?Would Onewa inexplicably lose his ability to swim?Or do Matoran naturally have elemental weaknesses?Or do only the Olda and Nuva have elemental weaknesses, since they're avatars of their elements (at least that's what I'm assuming, since they are named after their elements)?
18ANSWER: No. A Ga-Matoran would react to extreme heat, and all Le-Matoran dislike water. Comes from their background and environment, not from being a Toa.
199. There, uh, are plans to release the secret origin of the Bohrok, aren't there?AREN'T THERE???
20ANSWER: Can't answer it.
2110. Are the Hordika's Rhotuka basically like their elements packed into energy wheels, only less accurate, since they have to launch them to actually be activated?
22ANSWER: I wouldn't call them less accurate, providing you can aim.
2311. Roodaka and the Visorak king (not Sidorak...riiight...) can speak both Matoran and Visorak, right?
24ANSWER: Roodaka and the Visorak king can both understand and speak both languages, yes.
2512. Could Nokama (Metru, not Hordika) understand Visorakese?
26ANSWER: If she were wearing the Mask of Translation, yes.
2713. Now, Makuta placed masks on every Rahi he wanted to control.Well, do Kanohi have some magical property that allow them to fit on anyone, even, say, the Hordika? Not everyone can use their powers, but everyone can wear them, right?
28ANSWER: Seems that way.
2914. How did Makuta come across the Kraahkan?I heard it's part of his power placed in mask form, but was it ever a normal mask?Is it just his power in a physical shape, or is it a mask that holds his power that some unwitting Matoran made for "Dume?"And if it's power he already had, why would he want to put it in a mask and run the risk of having it pulled off and being severely weakened?
30ANSWER: I am not sure where you heard that -- I never said it. The Kraahkan is an addition to his natural powers, which include shapeshifting and the Rahkshi powers. Strip it off him and yes he will be weakened, but so would a Toa be if you took his mask off. Doesn't mean it is part of the Toa's power in mask form. And no, he had it long before he ever came to Metru Nui.
3115. Is Makuta really a true shapeshifter, or can he only steal the bodies of others, and make new bodies out of their parts put together? For example, his MoL form is made of Nidhiki, Krekka, and Nivawk. I mean, why would he MOC a new body out of their bodies when he could easily make one of his own...unless he's not really a shapeshifter?
32ANSWER: Yes, he is. In LOMN, he had been weakened by an earlier battle and needed an influx of power fast. Hence the stealing of the power plant's energy and the "shortcut" of absorbing his servants directly. But note that he looked like Dume yet had not absorbed Dume.
3316. In LoMN, why was Nivawk flying away from the huge cloud of Makuta energy around the Coliseum like he was afraid of it?If he's Makuta's pet, wouldn't he be used to that sort of thing?Or did he not know Makuta was actually a spirit, and thought he was just a little Turaga?Or was he smart enough to realize Makuta was going to "eat" him for body parts?
34ANSWER:My cat is used to the vacuum cleaner, but if I chase him with it, he's going to run away.
3517. How smart is Nivawk?Like a Kikanalo (capable of intelligent conversation if you listen hard enough), or like a guard dog (loyal and smart, but not sentient)?
36ANSWER: See my answer to 17 -- were you so foolish as to kick a guard dog, you would rapidly see he is very sentient. I would not class Nivawk at Kikanalo's level, more like the level of a cat. Obviously reacts to what is going on, probably understands more than we think it does, but can't communicate it to most people.
3718. What's a Rahi? This may sound silly, but bear with me for a minute. We usually think of Rahi as "beasts," but what is a beast, really?A nonsentient creature. Now, how exactly are Krahka, Tahtorak, or Kikanalo nonsentient? They can speak quite intelligently (except for Kikanalo, but you know what I mean), and are capable of independent thought and reasoning. So, how exactly are sentient creatures classified as "beasts?"
38ANSWER: Actually, there are a few issues with your question. First, almost all animals are sentient -- sentient just means they can feel sensations, such as pain. What most animals are not (we believe) is sapient. Second, look up the definition of "animal" on www.dictionary.com -- where does it say "unintelligent"? I have read about dolphins that are smarter than some people I know. To the Matoran, a Rahi is a living, multi-celled (in most cases), biomechanical being who is "not them" or related to them. So Bohrok and Rahkshi are not Rahi .. krana and kraata are. Makuta is vastly more powerful than they are, but still shares certain characteristics with them, enough so that he is not classified as a Rahi.
3919. Matau Hordika lost his ability to fly, right?
40ANSWER: Yes.
4120. Wouldn't Vakama Hordika have trouble adapting to a completely new set of Toa Tools?Twin swords are quite different from a disk launcher.
42ANSWER: He might, yes.
4321. Do Rhotuka have boomerang effects, or do you have to chase after it after you fire it at an enemy?
44ANSWER: Neither. They are wheels of energy, not solid objects. You launch one, you will another into being and launch it.
4522. I don't quite see the point of a Remove Poison Disk.I mean, Kanoka have to reach a certain velocity before their powers take effect. So, If a Matoran was poisoned, wouldn't he/she have to shoot it at him/herself to be cured? That's kind of the equivalent of filling a hypodermic needle with antidote, loading it intoa gun, and firing it at themself. It would cure their poison, but it would hurt like Karzahni.
46ANSWER: True. But so does surgery. How many guys in wartime have to get bullets removed without any anesthesia? It's better than letting the bullet stay in.
4723. Would a level 9 Remove Poison Disk be able to cure Visorak Venom, or is the venom too potent even for that?
48ANSWER: No, because I am splitting hairs on this -- Visorak venom is not fatal, so I don't consider it to be poison.
4924. Will we ever receive information on the Exo-Toa's origins?
50ANSWER: I have no doubt you will.
5125. How much proto would a protodite bite if a protodite could bite proto?
52ANSWER: Do you really expect an answer to this?
5326. What purpose exactly does Ko-Metru serve?Sure, the scholarstry to predict the future, but what about everyone else?
54ANSWER: The others do the same function that non-scientists who work in labs provide -- supporting the scientists, taking care of things so they don't have to, etc.
5527. In the OGD, someone posted that you said Makuta-Dume didn't have control over fire.I thought Makuta had control over all six Toa elements?
56ANSWER: Not to my knowledge, no. He has never demonstrated that.
5728. How would a Noble mask of underwater breathing be less powerful than a Great one?Either you can breathe underwater, or you can't.
58ANSWER: Absolutely right. But if I go underwater with an oxygen tank with enough in it for one hour, I can't stay under as long as if I had one good for three hours. Noble Mask does not afford the duration of use that a Great Mask does.
5929. Why do some Toa Tools have secondary uses (like Vakama's Disk launcher turning into a jetpack) while others don't (like Onewa's Proto Pitons)?
60ANSWER: Onewa's proto pitons do have a secondary use, they allow him to climb statues.
6130. How is a Kanoka Disk's power and power level determined?

62ANSWER: By the properties of the protodermis used, its purity, and the skill of the Matoran making the disk.
63See answers above, 64Greg

65Hey Greg, I've got a few more of those ridiculously nit-picky questions I know you just love answering.I'd appreciate it if you got back to me ASAP.
661a. Are both Zivon and Kahagarak buildable? 671b. I heard that one is a combo model of all six Visorak, but which one?And how do we get the other?
682. You said that Visorak primarily transmit their venom through stingers in their web cocoons.Well, what are said webs used for?Do they trap prey or attack by shooting them spider-man style?Do they just spin webs to crawl on, and use them as "highways?"
693. Do krana nourish their wearers?Because if not, then a Matoran who gets krana'd would grow weak, and eventually go into a coma.
704. How are non-bohrok krana-wearers used by the swarm?I mean, a controlled Matoran won't be useful in knocking down walls, so are they just left wherever they were taken control of?Do they carry krana around, va-style?
715. I know that Cahdok and Gahdok are biomechanical, and Bohrok are purely mechanical, so can the Bahrag mentally control the Bohrok?Do they telepathically communicate with the telepathic krana (I forget which one), or do they watch the swarms, and mentally override Bohrok they need to do a specific job?Or do they just sit in their lair collecting dust, serving no purpose whatsoever?
726. If Cahdok and Gahdok could still "speak" to the Toa Nuva and Bohrok Kal from inside their Protodermis cage, why couldn't they operate the swarms from where they were?
737. Can a mask be uninfected? If so, how?
748. Were the Rahkshi on Metru Nui playing any part, however small, in Makuta's plans?
759. Can a Kanoka disk already fused with another disk fuse again? For example, could a disk of shielding and a disk of speed combine to make a new disk?Because if so, that means there are an infinite number of possible mask powers: I know that the Great Disks could do so, but I'm assuming they are a special case because they are so "great."
7610. Okay, here's the doozy. Is the Kanoka-Kanohi transformation process permanent?Could someone take a mask of shielding, a mask of speed, melt them down, combine them, and then make the aforementioned new mask?
7711. What exactly is the difference between an elemental mask made using a Toa Disk (mask of fire, for example) and the mask of light?
7812.Could the Toa Metru form a Kaita, such as the Toa Nui Krahka "invented?"I'm assuming they didn't because they probably didn't know they could.
7913. What is Wairuha's gender?
8014. If all seven Toa Nuva (Yes, I know Takanuva technically isn't Nuva) gave up their powers and became Turaga, do you suppose they could awaken Mata Nui?
8115. Now that Jala (I still use the old Matoran names) knows he has a Noble Mask, would he be able to use its power?
8216. Why did Turaga Lhikan's mask change shape to fit Jala's face?Does every Matoran, Turaga, and Toa have their own "face print" that every mask they wear changes its shape to fit?So, if Tahu Nuva changed to an Akaku Nuva, he wouldn't just look like a red Kopaka? He would look like Tahu with a slightly misshapen face?
8317. If the Rhotuka are wheels of energy, then how on earth would you hold one?
8418. Will we see new official art in the Bionicle Encyclopedia?Because I'm really hoping for a good look at Krahka...
8519. Does Makuta's double-sided mask have any significance?
8620. Do you have the coolest job in the world or what:?
87Thanks in advance.Oh and by the way, remember when you said the new female villain reminded you of Lady Macbeth?Well, as luck would have it, I'm going to be reading Macbeth next in my English class:So, you know what that means............................................................ 88I'M GOING TO GET A FREE 2005 PREVIEW, AND YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO STOP ME:::(*insert cheesy evil laughter here*)
89But seriously, thanks for taking the time to read my message.

901) Yes, they are. Kahgorak is a combo of two Visorak models and there are instructions for it. Zivon is a combo of six models and I will have to get instructions done for it, as soon as we get more Visorak models in the office.
912) All of the above.
923) In a sense they do, but it is an energy that comes with a price, since you lose your will.
934) Oh, there are a lot of things Matoran can do. For example, think Borg in Star Trek -- the reason to assimilate a human is to gain their knowledge of human strategy and weakness. Same thing here. The Bohrok deal with opponents by krana'ing them and thus gaining knowledge about who they are facing.
945) They are in contact with krana. Not Bohrok. A Bohrok without a krana is lost to the Bahrag.
956) Much shorter range.
967) Yes. It is done using a similar process to the one used to heal Tahu in MOL, only it requires all six Toa to make it work.
978) No.
989) Yes, they can do what you are suggesting. I like infinite numbers of things
9910) Yes, as long as the masks involved were level 7 or above.
10011) At this point, we do not know that there is a difference. Time will tell.
10112) Yes, they could have, but had no idea how.
10213) No idea. My guess is such powerful entities as that are beyond gender.
10314) No. It's not that easy. That would sort of be like saying if me and six of my friends got buckets, we could empty the Atlantic in one trip.
10415) No. Matoran do not have the mental skill or discipline to use masks. It's like trying to run a 220 volt appliance in a 120 volt plug. Not happening.
10516) My belief is that it changed to look more like a Great Mask because the gifting of it to Jaller was meant as a tribute to Toa Lhikan, and to keep his memory alive. That, combined with its so radically switching wearers, changed its shape. It is a little bit of BIONICLE metaphysics at work.
10617) Same way Green Lantern can create a bird from his ring power and have it perch on his shoulder .. or a boxing glove and punch someone with it. That's all energy, but it is physically there.
10718) There will be a big color image of Krahka in the Rahi book. I don't know how much new new art is going to be in the Encylopedia, because I do not know what budget the book will have for that. Have to see.
10819) Not to my knowledge, but that doesn't mean it doesn't. Just that no one has told me.
10920) SometimesAnd other times I am running around like a crazy person trying to track down info on products so I can write catalog copy

110Woo, lotsa questions...I love bugging Greg:

1Ok, here's my question:
2Hi Mr. Farshtey :) 3I was wondering, what happens to a matoran when it loses it's mask? I know that something bad happens to them, but I don't know what exactly. 4Thanks in advance:

6And here's his answer:
7Depends on how long it's off. If it is just a short time, they are weakened the way Toa are .. if it is off for an extended time, they essentially shut down and go into a coma.

8I'd been wondering about this for a long time, and finally got around to asking. Pretty interesting, huh? Enjoy:

1Here's a PM that I sent (and got back) today. Now, it's not nearly as interesting as some of the ones I put on before in this topic, but, here it is.

2Just 1 question this time.
31) I know that you can only get the power of time by using Level 9 disks. But, can other disk combinations also have a different ability, depending on their power level? (For example, you mix Level 7 disks to get the illusion power. But, when you mix the same types of disks (but at Level 8 this time), you get shapeshifting.)
4No. That would make for a way too complicated chart.

1WEB OF THE VISORAK SPOILERS AHEAD::::::

2Hello, again. Just got "Web of the Visorak", and I really liked it. But some things were either confusing or suspicious. I'll try to go in order.
31. Will we ever learn the name of the Rahi that shared the information of the Toa's arrival with Roodaka?
42. There is an Acid spinner we see that didn't seem to have an owner. Or one we didn't see anyway. Which Visorak does it belong too, if any?
53. Roporak are the brown Visorak, right?
64. Okay, getting out of order. Vakama tells Tahu that he will soon know the origin of the Makuta stone. I'm getting a sneaking feeling that it is Roodaka's stone. Is it? Can you not answer it?
75. You said that the mutant Lorahk created that sonic creature. How? Simply another one of its new powers?
86. In one part of the book, it says Sidorak's greatest mistake is trusting Roodaka. Is it possible that Roodaka will turn against Sidorak to try and make herself the new Queen of the Visorak?
97. How were the Toa Hordika able to hear eachother if they were inside the cacoons? Are they just really thin?
108. I'm assuming all the Vahki have the same staff "powers"?
119. The Vohtorak have the paralyzing spinner, correct? The Suukarak have the electricity barrier spinner, and the Vohtarak have the pain spinner. Are all these correct?
1210. Judging by what Iruini's reaction was to the mention of Keetongu, he doesn't belive he exists. Am I correct?
1311. If Matau was more physically changed in the storyline, why wasn't he most physically changed in the set? Relating to that, will it be shown in the movie?
14Okay, next questions are actually about B3. Nothing about plot, though.
1512. Will the original Toa Metru voices be used for the Hordika?
1613. About the Rahaga. . .they have Rahkshi heads, and speak matoran. But wouldn't a movie-style Rahkshi head  speaking matoran be kind of funny looking? Will the head style change, or will the Rahaga voices sound like Rahkshi speaking matoran? (I'm not sure if you understood that.)
1714. You told me that a Vahki would make a cameo in the movie, but didn't know if the seen would be cut. Any information on this yet?

181) You mean the little reptile? It hasn't been given a name yet, but probably will be for the encyclopedia 192) I am going to release all the V powers to BZP so I don't have to answer the same PMs over and over 203) Yes 214) Nope, can't answer it 225) Yup -- just like Klaw, master of sound, can create creatures made from sound 236) Follow the story and find out 247) Yes, they are made of webbing and have gaps. 258) Not really, no. The Vahki's new powers involve blowing holes in things. 269) See answer to #2 2710) Yes 2811) Yes, it will be shown in the movie, as I understand it. 2912) No idea, I have no info on voice casting 3013) Again, I have not seen animation or head audio, but I can tell you that they are not going to change the fact that they have Rahkshi heads. You can't deviate that much from the sets as to make them unrecognizable. 3114) I was told in Sept. that there would be a brief cameo, but I did not see the scene in the script I had. However, I also know that they are adding more action scenes to the final movie, so who knows? I probably will find out when you do
32Greg

33Okay, I don't think that the last ones sent, so I'm taking a risk and sending them again.
341. Are the burnt skull casings the only physical difference to the Vahki?
352. Are any other part of them burnt?
363. About number 8, I meant to ask "Do all the new Vahki staffs have different powers, or do all of them blow holes in things? (example: Would Keerakh blow holes in things differently than Rorzakh?)
374. Speaking of Vahki changes, do they still have their original personalitys? (Bordakh like to chase, Keerakh know where their enemy is going, etc.)
385. Two times in book 7, Roodaka is written as a Visorak Queen. I thought this was corrected?
396. At the end of the book, Iruini catches Nuju when he is about to hit the ground. But since he was falling at such a high velocity (I'm guessing since he was dropped so high he would have reached terminal velocity), wouldn't Nuju and been killed, and Iruini gotten two broken arms?
407. "One day, she will be quick-bounding out of the trees on the island above, scaring the masks off of matoran. Wait and see." 41Did you have Takua and Jaller in mind when you wrote that?
428. Alright. I have a theory here. . . 43Judging by that spore on the Karzahni log, I'm assuming a Karzahni II or another plant-like enemy will come into the '05 storyline. 44I'm betting you can't answer this, but am I close to anything big?
459. Okay. . .I don't think there is a nine. . .
46Anyway, sorry if these already got to you, but I'm don't think they did. Anyway, thank you in advanced:

471) Yes 482) Nope 493) No, they pretty much all blow holes in things. 504) Yup 515) It is being corrected in the second printing of the book. By the time the decision was made that she would not be the queen, it was too late to change it in the first printing 526) You are applying Earth physics and effects of things on the anatomy of Earth creatures. Neither one applies here. It's not so easy to "break" a biomechanical being 537) Yes, that was a tip of the hat to people who had seen MOL 548) I do plan to bring Karzahni back in one of the books, yes
55Greg

56Just a side comment. . . I guess I need to stop looking at earth physics and start looking at Bionicle physics when reading this books. . .
57I think number 8 of the second set is by far the most interesting.

1QUOTE 2Just some stuff I wanted to brushoff my chest.
3(1) Will the third bionicle installment be placed after the first half of the storyline. Like, how B2 was set mainly after the defeat of The Morbuzahk. Depending on time, do the movie makers plan to do the same with B3?
4(2) There are so many other crazes that boys have like Star Wars, DBZ, Pokemon, Yu Gi oh, stuff like that. So, How do you define Bionicle as being unique compared to all those other Shows, or movies. In terms of, Long term benifit. Values. Story, you know. What sets it apart from the others?
5(3)Are the Toa Nuva really going to be in the 2006 storyline, and if so, will they be changed in any way? Have you been told about that stuff?
6(4) How long do you plan to work with lego as a comic/ book writer?
7(5) When you think about answering questions Via PM or other. Who's the member that comes into mind first? (or, who PMs you the most).
8(6) Are you a serious Bionicle collector. Or do you only buy certain sets that you like.

9Greg. 101) There isn't really a "first half" of the story this year, because the enemies are the same all year long. Last year, you had the Morbuzakh and then Makuta, this year it is Visorak all the way through.
112) I think, in the end, this is something every fan has to answer for themselves. My own feeling is that story is important, yes, but the real key to me is that the story is built around mysteries -- which fuels fan speculation and keeps them wanting to learn more, and hopefully that keeps fueling interest in sets. I don't know that I would point to "values" because I am not sure people buy toys in search of a moral lesson.
123) I can tell you that they will play a role in the story, I can also tell you there are no plans to tranform them a second time.
134) I am on staff at the LEGO Company as managing editor and writer of the LEGO Magazine. BIONICLE is done mostly in my free time. So I will be involved with LEGO as long as I am working there, and BIONICLE for as long as it is around and I am there.
145) If I didn't want to answer questions, I wouldn't be here. I mainly got started to correct misinformation on here, of which there is usually a lot.
156) I really don't have room in my house for a lot of sets, and like you, I have to buy them if I want them. So most of the sets I get are at the office for reference purposes.
