1Hello, Mr. Farshtey. How are you today? Hope the move to your new house has been going well. I've been wondering about these things for awhile, Hope you can answer them.
21) Should'nt the kanohi komau be considered a dark mask, since, as a mask of MIND CONTROL, it takes away the free will of the victim?
32) On BS01 wiki, it says that all of the toa hagah carried spinner launching shields. Now, did ALL of the toa that protected members of the BOM have these shields? 42b) What about the metallic armour? 52c) Were all teams that protected a makuta refered to as "toa hagah'', or did different teams go by different names?
63) About the toa mangai, did each toa come from a different island, or did certain members come from the same island. For example: ''the four toa of ice came from the same island''. Or was it more like "the four toa of ice each came from a different island"?
74) Does the sapient species that appears in JOT also exist in the main universe? 84b) Are the Kratana sapient? It says that they are on BS01...
95) In the kingdom universe, it said that nearly every being in the Matoran Universe made it to Mata Nui. What about the Prisoners of The Pit? 105a) All of the Rahi?
116) Also in The Kingdom:

12They walked through the streets of the city, as shock followed shock for Takanuva. Over there were Matoran buying wares from street stands run by Vortixx; further on, a Skakdi was hawking a show, boasting of the amazing Visorak pyramid that could be seen inside for just five widgets. And on every street corner, there was the presence of law enforcers – not Toa, not even Vahki, but Dark Hunters .

13Things got stranger from there. Turaga Takanuva had formed a new ruling council, consisting of Turaga Dume, a prime Skakdi warlord, Roodaka, the Shadowed One, Helryx, and a Nynrah Matoran. Dark Hunters had become the primary law enforcers, while Toa were put to work using their powers to help the city in other ways. First, they prevented the collapse of the original island in the wake of Mata Nui's death. Then they created new and more stable land masses to support the city's expansion. After 10 millennia, the Kingdom was now a mega-city and home to all the survivors of the original universe.

14If Takanuva had never even met a Skakdi, how would he know what/who a Skakdi is?
15Thank You for Your time

171) But what if you are taking away the free will of, say, a mass murderer about to kill someone? Is that an immoral act? 182) No idea, we haven't seen any of the other Toa Hagah teams 192b) Yes 202c) All 213) It is certainly possible that some of the Toa came from the same island or region 224) No 234b) I believe so, yes 245) They had no reason to go there. They were not in the Matoran universe, so they were not affected by Mata Nui's death and had no reason to think of evacuating anywhere. 255a) Some made it, many did not, same as happens during any animal stampede. 266) But Takanuva had met the Toa Mahri, who know full well what a Skakdi looks like from meeting the Piraka and described them to him.

27The BS01 Wiki needs to be updated . . . The Kratane are sapient . . .

1Well, but if Mata Nui is the Universe, he could be a character without the story taking place in the Matoran Universe - we would be outside of his body, so not in the Matoran Universe, and he still could be around. And if we suppose these theories are true, then he was present as a character from 2001 up to today, we just didn't know it. But let's not discuss this further here - their are two topics on the subject and arguing about a secret-to-be-revealed leads nowhere, as there are arguments for both sides one can't fully disarm without knowing the truth. Guess we'll have to wait till Fall to know who/what Mata Nui is and then till the end of the year when first details about the next year have usually already found their way to BZP in the one or the other way, and then we'll probably know the answer to the question which known character will be around next year.
2NtM
3EDIT: And Hewkii#1, Greg said he has plans for the two that go beyond 2008, but he hasn't stated that they'd appear in the serials next year - it could well be that we'll have to wait some years until a possible return to the Matoran Universe. Although I do believe that it will be in the serial, I just needed to keep the facts straight - facts and theories often mix on BZP and in the end few are really certain what has been said and what not. If I am mistaken and Greg said they'll be in a serial, I apologize, but could you provide a quote?

41. I guess its plausible that Mata Nui could be the recurring character but I just don't like the notion and find it unlikely.
52. I like to keep the facts straight too and I remembered that I had asked him about this and here is proof..V
6Thankyou very much. A few more questions....
71. You have plans to include Teridax and Takanuva in future storylines, meaning in the 2009-? story?
82. How do you define universe in bionicle?
93. How far ahead have you guys planned the future bionicle story? 2010, 2011?

151) Well, it has already been discussed that we are hoping to do a web serial in 2009 that will focus on the old universe. 162) The Matoran universe is the universe inside the domes. 173) 2011 184) Sorry, I really don't have the spare time to go into this

6QUOTE 7dear greg,
8i have 1 Question:
9you said no nuva will die and takanuva is a honorary member (of the nuva team)
10so my question is :
111.will takanuva die ?
121"Honorary member" is not the same as member. And I cannot discuss future storyline, but I would point out that we did "Toa dies to save the universe" last year and it would be dull to do it again this year.
#5405
1That answer is a "no, he won't die" wrapped up in a seemingly useless answer.

1Ya, and he already said Takanuva's destiny extends beyond 2008, so he wouldn't die this year.
#5407
1Takanuva got time to update his blog in a middle of a countdown.
2Gali's gonna forge a mental link with takanuva

1Please, no spamming, this is not the place to post it...try the Official Web Serials Topic. (and part of that should go under spoiler tags since it is a spoiler)
#5409
1This is the Official Greg Discussion, we can discuss Greg here, and as such, it seems appropriate to discuss his work here, hence the Takanuva Blog, but still better in the Web Serial topic.

1Still it is nasty when people who are looking to read the questions and their answers, and have to go through comments like these...so technically I shouldn't be posting this...oh well, somebody would do it if I didn't anyway.

2Is the fact that you can't see through the Karda-Nui mist the result?side effect of the energy storm, makuta darkness, or something else?

3Something else. There has been no energy storm there for 1000 years, so wouldn't make sense it would still be affecting the mist

4I figured that if the storm had gone on for over 100,000 years or more, that the effects would remain after 1,000 years. I mean, the ice age was long. I doubt everything melted overnight. Oh well.

11a) Takanuva's destiny has not been fulfilled yet correct? 21b) Then how in the Kingdom dimension did he become a Turaga seeing as his Destiny had not been fulfilled yet?

31) Correct 41b) Different dimensions, different destinies. In Dark Mirror, Takua's destiny did NOT include becoming Takanuva. In the Kingdom, his destiny was to stop the Makuta from coming to the island of Mata Nui. When you alter the flow of history, you alter people's destiny.

5Nothing New, just something I was wondering.
#5415

1Hello, it's been a long time since I've PMed you, and I hope you're doing well.
21. Can a Makuta replenish his Antidermis?(I'm guessing not.)
32. Would Mata Nui (Being) be able to fit inside Karda Nui? 42b. Could the Island be able to?
5Thanks in Advance.

61) Not that I am aware of 72) I can't discuss the nature of Mata Nui. 82b) Not sure

1Where did the names for the T vehicles come from?

1Why is Time Trap your favourite book?

24) Because it was different from all the others, and because I knew going I wanted it to be and wasn't sure I could execute it. It was also the book in which Makuta was reimagined into the character he is now.

3To BS01 .

1Hey Greg, some questions for ya.
21. Are there more than six elemental types of Skakdi. Can Skakdi come in other elemental types (Lightning, Gravity, etc.)?
32. Which is your favorite Mistika Makuta? Mine is a tie between Krika and Gorast. 42b. Which is your favorite Mistika Toa Nuva? Mine is Tahu.
53. Are any of Trinuma's weapons made of Protosteel?
64. Of all the characters you have written about this year so far (books, serials, comics, and all), which do you most enjoy writing about?
75. Where did Vultraz get the Sky Fighter vehicle he rides?
86. A stricktly hypothetical question: Would the MoLi be able to transform a Bohrok back into a Matoran?
9Thanks.

101) Probably, yes 112) Krika 122b) Kopaka 133) Probably 144) Krika 155) Follow the story and find out 166) Yes

171. Thought so. 182. I knew that would be his choice. 192b. Kopaka is a Phantoka. Ah well. 203. Thought so. 214. Cool. 225. Eh. 236. Interesting...

1Hi Greg, 2This is the first time I have sent a PM to anyone before so I'm sorry if it is hard to read. I just wanted to ask you two questions.
31. Is warlord Nektann the skakdi that sent for weapons from Xia? (it was mentioned in the Atlas)
42. Is the Tren Krom penninsula located on the northern continent?

5Thanks for taking time to answer these.
61) No 72) I would have to check my map, I don't remember offhand

#5421
1Hey Mr Farshtey. Excellent work on the story so far. I really like how you can balance the elements of comedy, thrill, and plot twists in such a complex story that's over seven years old. Must be nice to have a creativity of your level...
2Alright, now, onto the questions. I hope you're not getting swamped by all those suggestions, and will still have room to answer some good ol'fashioned Qs:
31) Does Takanuva's Power Lance grow with him? I ask because I have the set, and I find it hard to believe that a regular Toa can wield such a large weapon efficiently. 41a) How big is Takanuva as of the latest "Takanuva's Blog" entry (the one where Pohatu starts counting)? 51b) When will (or when did) Takanuva reach his set size in the events of "Takanuva's Blog" (set size is 2 times the height of regular Toa, just for clarity)? 61c) How long will "Takanuva's Blog" go on? Until the release of "The Final Battle"?
72) I didn't exactly catch the last part of "Destiny War" Chapter 2 clearly. Did Trinuma say that Vezon is gonna betray the Order and the known universe? 82a) Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this the correct schedule for the summer serials? 9- Destiny War 10- Dwellers in Darkness 11- Brothers in Arms
123) I think I finally got it. Instead of creating head-splitting time paradoxes, an alternate universe is formed everytime Bitil does, or doesn't use his Mohtrek for whatever reason, correct? 133a) If so, I guess there's a solidified timeline in which this years events happen in the main universe and not in an alternate one? 143b) Just for clarity, neither Bitil nor his duplicates are gonna die this year when the Mohtrek is in use, right? (this should end all the "death-by-Mohtrek confusion, and solidify the main universe timeline, so that we'll know what event could potentially break into an alternate universe)
15Non-Bionicle: 161) Do you watch the Olympics? 172) Any opinion on the events so far?
18That's all for now, Mr Farshtey. Thanks in advance for answering.

191) Artistic license, the weapon has to be in scale to the figure 201a) Don't know, haven't worried about it 211b) Same answer, I am not dealing with his exact rate of growth in story so not concerning myself with it 221c) Into December, I believe 232) Yes 242a) Yes 253) An alternate universe is formed anytime anyone makes a decision. If Tahu decides to go back up to the sky villages, then an alternate universe is formed in which he stays in the swamp. If Gali races to save Onua from a shadow bolt, and does, an alternate universe is formed in which she doesn't save him, but she lives .. tries to save him and they both die ... and doesn't try to save him at all. 263a) This year's main story happens in main universe. 273b) I cannot discuss future storyline

28Dang . Looks like there will still be some "death-by-Mohtrek" confusion....

1QUOTE 21. Given that the Pit is outside the Matoran Universe, how did the Toa Mahri feel Mata Nui's death if the location they were in wasn't effected by it?
32. About the Nui-Stone. It seems that very few beings would be able to create something of that power, and unless it was stolen during Kojol's raid, Artahka doesn't seem like he'd let something like the Nui Stone get lost in the universe. That really only leaves the Vortixx and the Nynrah Ghosts. So then, did the Nynrah Ghosts create the Nui Stone?
43. How are the Metru-Nui matoran adapting the influx of all the Kharzahni refugees?
54. It's stated in Krika's bio that he was the most mutated and spent the most time in the swamp. Since Bitil didn't develop any extra powers (heat absorption, light stinger) or weaknesses (out of control density power, needing to breathe again) would you say that Bitil is the least mutated Mistika Makuta?
65. You said that if they wanted to, the Phantoka Makuta could kill the Toa Nuva easily. Given their mutations, could the Mistika Makuta also easily kill the Toa Nuva if they wished?
76. I'm expecting a 'can't answer this' but its worth a shot. Will elements (fire, ice, air, etc etc) play a part in 2009?
87. Given that the Mask of Clairvoyance shows the future, and gives its user a chance to change that future, doesn't the Mask actually show the user the alternate future that would happen if the mask HADN'T activated?
98. Is Photok still with Pohatu during Takanuva's blog?

101) But they are a part of his universe, and so bound to him 112) Only a few beings THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT -- why does it have to be someone already mentioned in story? 123) Same way residents of any city adapt to refugees 134) Yes 145) Most likely, yes 156) You're right, I can't discuss 2009 167) I never said it gave the user the chance to change the future. Most people who claim clairvoyance in our world state that they cannot change what is to come, just see it. 178) I don't think Photok is with Pohatu in that scene.

1Plasma is a super heated gas that is only found on the sun or in Lightning.
2So, why do we have 2 elements if Lightning is just Plasma?

3But plasma weapons, such as those being developed by the military, do not shoot lightning, so it's not entirely the same thing. There is also no proof there even is lightning inside the Matoran universe, only outside of it.

1Some new things I learned:
2Sir:
3I want to ask these questions.
41. Seeing Chapter 2 of Destiny War, Trinmuna and Vezon are sailing for Destial. Does this mean that the Order discovered some sort of pattern to where Destial teleports? 53. Is there a tool/weapon the size of Mata Nui in existance? 63a. If yes, does Mata Nui carry that tool? 74. Couldn't Takanuva show to Pohatu that his armor isn't made of Protosteel? 85. Is it possible that the Order somehow installed Ussalnui's blueprint into Takanuva?
9-Tomdroidser

101) Or one of their agents happened upon its current location and reported back 113) No 123a) No 134) How do you suggest he do that? 145) It's an interesting thought, but the Order had no idea he would become a Toa.

152. Can mutated Toa use Toa energy?

162) You mean like Hordika?

172. I mean Hordika, Savage, Rahaga, Nidhiki, Prototype, and all those Toa who was/were mutated.
18-Tomdroidser

192) In general, no. Only the Toa Hordika still had access to elemental powers, and that only through their spinners. None of the others do or did.

1Just two questions today.
21. Why do masks have names? I don't name my helmet or hat. 32. How come the DH didn't attack Metru Nui? After all, its maximum defense is 11 Toa while the DH are dozens.

41) Your hat has no power. Masks do. If you don't name them, how would you know what power it had? 52) Simple. If you have to make an attack to get the Vahi -- instead of being able to sneak in and steal it -- then you risk Turaga Vakama destroying it to keep it from falling into your hands, the same way he kept the Makuta from getting it.

61. He's got a point. 72. Oh, didn't think about that.

1I hope you answer this.
21: Who was the first matoran? Is he still alive?
32: Should mata-nui be awakened... will the toa/matoran who have died be resurrected? If not, where do they go?
43: What's happening between Hewkii and Macku now that he's a toa?
5That's all I ask. Please answer.

6Greg doesn't come to this topic. You have to PM him your questions. You need to get Ten posts if you want to PM him. After that, go to the front page. There's a link to PM him.
7EDIT:Oh, and welcome to BZPower.

1Hi GregF,
2I have only one question:
3Is The Plan would succeed, would Teradix be able to maintain the Universe without help of his fellow Makuta?
4Thanks.

5As long as Mata Nui is alive, isn't the universe already being maintained?

1Hello Greg,
2Just one question.
3Does mutran knows about the energy storms in karda nui since he knows what tren krom knows?

4No, because TK was not in KN when they broke out last time, so how would he know about them?

5Now how did Teridax got information of the energy storms?

6How do you know Teridax knows about the energy storms? 7Or, if he does, he might have not told the other Makuta. I mean he didn't tell the Phantuka about the MoL blinding them. And then it does mean less Makuta to kill later.

9How do you know Teradix knew about the MoL blinding the Makuta Phantoka? They were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. They could've been inside Antroz' lair for all we know.

1He knew it COULD happen, he didn't know that it would, but he didn't mention it to them.
