Legend of Toa Siro
1Good day Mr Farshtey. I have but one question for you, and I hoped you'd like to answer it

2I was just reading Empire of the Skrall chapter 3, and something struck during the first passage. Here's the sentence, 'Rage grew in his heart for whoever had shackled these beasts'. This obviously means he must care for the Vorox to an extent, but I was wondering

3How much does he care for the Vorox?
4Thank you
5Legend of Toa Siro

6I see Malum as very protective of the Vorox, especially the ones in his tribe. Let's face it, they took him in when his own people cast him out. As a result, he sees more "civilized values" in them than in Agori and Glatorian. Vorox don't lie; they kill only to protect themselves or to get things they need to survive; and they judge others based on something Malum respects, namely strength. So I would compare it to someone who has spent a lot of time with a pack of wild animals, and sees more honesty and nobility in them than he does in people.

7Well, at least we know the strength of the Malum-Vorox relationship

8Legend of Toa Siro

9Hmm, so Malum is not that close to being evil. He's a good guy, just a violent and hot-headed one.

10Not really. They took him in, so he obviously must respect them, but that doesn't mean he is good. Its like saying a general of an army isnt a bad guy, just because he cares about his soldiers.

11In our world, there is no good and bad. It is merely an opinion.
12And someone needs to edit BS01 with Malum vs. Tarix and Malum vs. A Skrall.

13Hes a anti-hero.

14No such thing.

15yes there is. :P
#6562
1Right, but that makes him more of an anti-hero. He lacks the conventional heroic qualities seen in Gresh or Tarix.

3No there isn't - you can't stick everyone in either 'good' or 'bad' groups, everyone can be both good and evil. The same applies to Malum - he has a terrible temper, to the point of murder, but he still cares for his people.

3Within the black and white are shades of gray. Gray would describe Malum quite well.

1Um, I'm really not that familiar with the rules anymore, but wouldn't this discussion be better in the Official 2009 Story Topic? :???:
21. What kinds of mechanical implants would they use?
31) Whatever would benefit them the most.
4Anyway, I'm kinda interested in this quote. Sounds like there's quite some variety of implants...

3GregF 4It's a good question. I think a Toa or a Matoran might be stronger, as they are mostly metal, not organic.

1Well, Pohatu can move mountains. I don't think any Glatorian can do that. But look at their statistics to find out.

1Do Hydraxon, Lesovikk, and Sarda wear breathing apparatuses in the Pit now, since it has been drained?

2Yes, but they aren't in the Pit now, they left to go help fight in the Destiny War.

31. When did this happen?
42. Where did they go?
53. What did they do?
64. Who was left in charge of the Pit?
75. Did they capture the rest of the runners?
86. Are they still alive?
97. Where are they now?
108. What are they doing now?

11All stuff we will get into this year in the MU serial

12I guess we have to wait and see.

21. A while back you said that in the '09 movie there would be a scene of Mata Nui being built, were you talking about the robot or the summer set?

1Evening Mr. Farshtey. I have a few more questions I would like to be answered.
21. Follow up of last time:

31. What kinds of mechanical implants would they use?

41) Whatever would benefit them the most.

5I want to be sure I understand this. 6Say a Glatorian wanted to be able to jump really high. He could get something in his knees and feet to allow him to jump higher, correct?
72. Is there a name for the species a Glatorian would be?
83a. Agori have a hard time making weapons and armor, right? How adept are they at making electronics? 93b. Vehicles? (Other than the battle vehicles.)
10Thanks in advance.

111) If such a thing existed, yes 122) We haven't named them 133) Agori really can't "make" anything -- they can repair/patch things that already exist, but they don't have much skill at creating new. As far as electronics go, there are no electronics in use on Bara Magna.

4No, not really. But Tuma would probably have those Skrall executed on the spot.

1We don't even know that much, though. Remember his interests are not personal, they are for the benefit of the entire Rock tribe. I don't see why he would want to kill his own kind, especially his class.

1Hi Greg :D
2Female Skrall are not included in the army.

31) What do Female Skrall do since they are not included in the army? 41A) Are they nurse's or something like that?
52) Will we see any female Skrall this year?
6The three known Skrall classes (leader, soldier, spec ops) are all that will be introduced this year; more may be introduced in future story if required.

73) What class do the female Skrall fit into?
84) Do any female Skrall look the like the winter Canister skrall? 94a)Do any female Skrall look like Stronius?
105) How much more skilled are special ops Skrall then normal Skrall?
116) Is Ackar working for Vulcanus during the winter story?
127) Are the Glatorian legends more skilled then regular Glatorian
13Thats all for now and thanks for you time :D

141) Support staff 152) Possibly, in the serial, we'll see 163) Well, since they aren't in the army, it doesn't make sense that they would fit any of the three 174) No 184a) No 195) About as much as a special forces army soldier is over a standard soldier 206) Yes 217) No. We simply wanted to keep the word Glatorian in the subtitle, since they are all Glatorian, and "Legends" ties in nicely with the movie title.

22Can you guy's please continue the Tuma/Leader class Skrall discussion through Pms or something I dont want this to get closed again and we just had a warning from SPIRIT...

1Hello Greg. I heard Makuta's Guide will be released in English on S@H. I can't wait. I have one question however. It was written in English, and translated into Polish, and released there, right? Well, is the English version a translation of the Polish guide, or the original English you wrote? Just a curiosity.
2~:l::a:~

3From looking at it, I would say it's the original English.

4I was just curious. I thought it would be stupid if it was a translation of a translation, rather than the original English Greg wrote.

1Mmm, you're both partly right, and both partly wrong. There is a general concensus of right and wrong, but nothing that's set in stone. It's just what we all agree is bad and good. So, it's just an oppinion everyone has that have things in common.
2Another way of putting it: there's white, black, and a billion shades of grey. Malum's pretty grey. Let's leave it at that.
3Now, for an actual PM...
4Hey Greg. Not sure if you can help with this, but there are a few unknown masks that have appeared in comics/books, etc. that bear resemblance to existing masks, and I was wondering if you could confirm these.
51. Unknown Kanohi 1 6-Great Elda 7Same basic shape, and they both have the nose tubing. Is the former (worn on a Matoran in Karzhani) a Matoran form of the Kanohi Elda? 82. Unknown Kanohi 2 9-Noble Komau 10The former(a statue in Karzahni)'s mask bears similarities to a Noble Komau. Is it? 113. Unknown Kanohi 3 12-Radiak's Mask 13The Mahri Nui Matoran's mask bears the same cheek ridges as Radiak's mask. Are they the same type?
14Thank you for your time. I appreciate it.

15:t: :m_o::c:

16Really not something I have had time to ponder. The use of these masks was decided by the comic artist, not dictated by me, and I really haven't studied them to decide what they are.

17I figured as much, but as they say, "It is better to have asked and been declined than to never have asked at all." :P

1Hi, I have just a couple questions this time.
21. I asked once if the name "Rockslide Cannons" for the laser cannons on Rockoh T3's wings was canon (it was found on an official BIONICLE set display in a Toys "R" Us retail store). I recently saw another such display featuring the Axalara T9, and the caption for the pics demonstrating its action features called the three "arms" which fold out from the vehicle "tri-cyclone stingers". Is the name tri-cyclone stingers for these three arms canon?
31b. Are you able to confirm the canonicity or non-canonicity of the name Rockslide Cannons yet?

4Yes and yes
