Vamprah

As promised, here is some info on Vamprah (Chirox and a better Antroz write-up to come later in the week):

Vamprah (8692)

Quote: Vamprah does not speak.

Weapons: Tridak pod with shadow leeches; claws; knife-sharp wings

Personality: Vamprah is the true hunter among the Makuta, who delights in silently stalking his prey. Even his allies are uncomfortable around him. Thanks to his mask power and his own experiments, he now literally feeds on the hopes and dreams of others. Vamprah hates to see a hunt end too soon and will often toy with his prey before feeding.

Mask: Kanohi Avsa, Mask of Hunger -- allows Vamprah to drain his choice of light, energy or positive emotions from a target at a distance. His preference is always the latter, but he will drain energy when in combat.

Hurray! Mask #2! I like this Vamprah, he sounds interresting. 2008's getting better every time I blink! :D

Awesome, Greg. I'm really liking this guy. ^_^

His mask is especially interesting. Isn't it kinda just an enhancement of his Kraata power of hunger though?

Interesting. Although it does raise a question for me. How do Antroz's and Vamprah's mask powers differ signifigantly from the standard Makuta powers shown in Guurahk and Vohrahk Rahkshi?

The kraata powers do not allow you to choose what you feed on -- the kraata cannot consume light or emotions -- and the corruption power destroys much slower than shattering or disintegration, so you can blackmail someone with destroying their mask or weapon etc. rather than just instantaneously doing it.

Kanohi Avsa? Sounds very interesting, thanks for the info Greg. :)

He's even creepier than I thought. :fear: I'm so gonna buy Vamprah, thanks for sharing this, Greeg. :)

Now I see what you mean by "masks that a Toa wouldn't want to wear". And I thought the Olisi was creepy....

Thanks for the information, I really like this guy.

Very creative uses, if I do say so myself.
These new Makuta keep getting better.

Wait...is it Tridax or Tridak?

The former.

Thanks Greg :)

I believe that's a typo. Thanks Greg, this guy sounds promising. Too bad he never talks, I would have liked even just one phrase in all the storyline.

Very interesting. Can't wait for the other bios. Also Greg, will you reveal the names of Lewa and Pohatu's new melee tools?

Ok, I knew I was going to buy Vamprah first, but now I can't wait.

Thanks Greg!

Thanks for this awesome info, Greg!
Vamprah is now officially my second favorite. His mask power is creepy, I know I'd never want to run into him in a dark alley! Or a light one, for that mater :P

*gets the Jibblies*

Is there even a perfect counter to this guy... I mean someone he can fight and not win?
He sounds almost Godmoody to me.

A mask power requires concentration to use. And there would be precious little concentration to go round if you're in an aerial dogfight.
Plus he's got to rely on a Matoran to tell him where to use his Mask...

And I'd like to see him hide from Kopaka's Akaku
Original#17
Night Terror, do you REALLY want a quote from this guy? He'd make Vezon seem tame..ish.

Kanohi Avsa: And i thought that the Jultin was sinister.
Original#18
I think I may have a new favorit. Story-wise, at least.
Original#19
*shudders* Wow. I'm loving 2008..x10.

I would also assume that the corruption power has an advantage in that you do not need to hit your enemy with anything to make it work. The Rahkshi needed to touch their enemies with their staffs or blast them with an energy blast type thing, either of which can be dodged. The Makuta masks, from what I know, don't seem to need to do that. Am I right?
