Sounds good, but "Power Lance"? I know your target audience is about eleven years old, but that's pushing it. I would have found that a bit cheap at eleven. How about "Nova Lance"? I wouldn't want to get stabbed by THAT. But it does sound pretty cool for a short story, so I'll probably get round to reading it at some point.

"Power lance" is the name agreed to by Billund for the weapon -- I can't call it something other than what it is being called in Shop At Home copy and on the web, etc.
