New And Notes

Posted by GregF on
-- Good news to start with -- I have gotten permission to get a whole new list of approved names done for 2010 and 2011, which means we will be able to have some new named characters in the story!

-- Plague tribe's element is ... iron. Yes, I know, that doesn't match their armor color, but there is a reason for that, which will get revealed in an upcoming mini-serial on BIONICLEstory.com called Sahmad's Tale.

-- Look for more info on the Psionics power on Monday, same place.

I knew 2010 would be awesome. B)

Great news!I can't wait for the serial :happydance:
Iron.........interesting choice. :)
Original#3
Iron makes sense. They are rust-coloured after all.

You just made my day, Greg. The fact that we'll still be getting new names for the story is even better; it really goes to show that Lego does care. ;)

Also, Iron for the Plague Tribe... interesting enough; looking forward to the story.

Iron is great, as is a new mini serial.

And I guess we should thank LEGO for allowing you the name list - that must cost them thousands of dollars. How many names are you allowed to pick?

Nuhrii -- We are going to all brainstorm a big list and send it to Legal and see how many we end up with. I am hoping to wind up with at least 30 names I can use.
Original#7
That sounds marvellous. I wish you good luck. I hope you will go for a mixture of MU-sounding and Spherus-Magna-sounding names (or maybe even something new).

I would love it if Bink's preferred name for the new Rahkshi would make on that list to get sent to legal.

As really just a follower of the story anymore, I must say I'm quite pleased by these developments. ^_^

Yeah, that'd be great, Erebus. Xiirahk or Zirahk or what was it again? As far as I remember, Xiirahk was rejected, but what about Zirahk? If that's been rejected, too, maybe one of those thirty new names could be a Rahkshi of Heat Vision.

The name list thing is pretty awesome. Especially if you end up with a good amount of them. I'm actually quite pleased with how much LEGO is giving towards Bionicle even without the sets.

And iron as orange kinda works. I always thought of it as a gunmetal gray and dark red, myself.

Does this mean the Plague Tribe lived near a source of iron?

Wait, what? I never said anything here today. You're confusing me with Electric Turahk. :P
Anyways, I am glad Iron was chosen. I too originally thought that was a great idea.
Also, one could say that rust from metal is orange.

Fascinating. Thanks for the info.

This is just about the best news I've heard all day. Thanks for doing all this for us!

Yay for approved names instead of Dark-Hunter-code-name names!
Yay for Iron.
Yay for 2010!

To be honest, i don`t like the idea of adding more characters. Yes, maybe just a few Great Beings, Agori, Glatorian and alike, but thirty new personalities? No thanks.

Iron. Interesting choice... so no Element Lord here, i guess.

And what is that with Psionics?

Bariakk: Magnan Masterner
And what is that with Psionics?
GregF recently canonized Psionics as a Toa Element.

The names don't have to go to characters, they can be used for the names kanohi, locations, weapons, etc.

greg, you rock :D

But why you ignore my PM questions D:?

And are there for when they're necessary. That doesn't mean we'll have 30 new names to learn in 2 years. I'm pretty sure that Greg will use them as he always has done: when it makes sense to introduce them.
