Here's a question: would it be possible for a Toa of Psionics to absorb thought, "blanking out" the mind of her opponent and making it harder to think?
Original#22
So the limited Mind Control part is basically Hypnosis. You can't make them do something they wouldn't do on their own in the first place?

Blue and gold's kinda mediocre, I mean blue is already used for water, so it'd be slightly hard to distinguish a Ce-Toa from a Ga-Toa that's wearing gold armor....
Ya, that's what I was thinking. Like say, Gaaki is wearing gold armor like Iruini.

Also, If a toa of psionics was wearing a Suletu, Matatu, Mahiki, or a Komau, would this greatly increase the power of the toa?

Guess who suggested Blue and Gold to Greg? :sly:
Hi, Greg! I just had a couple questions.
1. Could Blue and Gold be the colors for Matoran/Toa/Turaga of Psionics?

2. Is it possible that Lava/Magma is an element?
Thanks! :D

1) I really have given no thought to this at all at this point
2) I don't think so, no

I wasn't expecting colors or Matoran info, very nice.

Although I'm not used to having a Toa who's basically a Kanohi hodge-podge. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a Toa with a Suva and a Matatu, Suletu, Volitak, Mahiki and Komau would be able to do pretty much everything a Toa of Psionics could, only better, right? (Better because of no "organic only" limitations and the Komau beats hypnosis.) Don't get me wrong, I know that in actual practice most Toa don't devote themselves to gathering a Kanohi collection, so it's unlikely you'd find a Toa like that, but still.

Better than a Toa of Gravity. They're hodgepodges of exactly one mask. The Mask of Gravity.

So they're basically Jedi. The telekinisis thing is good, since it means they're not completely useless in situations not involving living opponents.

I wonder if the "mind blast" would be powerful enough to kill someone. I mean, Jaller died from fear energy...

Isn't that what renders them useful, though? If you have a Toa that can do all of those things, you wouldn't need the masks.

And if you have a Suva and the masks, you wouldn't need the element. :3

I would prefer the Suva in theory, but not being a Toa...

Telekinesis seems to be the oddball in the powers. I mean, most of those could probably be explained by some sort of brain wave thing messing with the foe's brain. Not sure telekinesis fits in with that.

Blue and gold? Eh, not sure want to think of that, other than nostalgic memories of an old 90s cartoon.
Original#31
That's one powerful Toa. Go Ce-Matoran!
Original#32
But...Brutaka was blue and gold.... :superfunny:
Original#33
Brutaka is not a Toa, so I don't think that's relevant. Skopio is red, that doesn't mean we can't have red Toa.

Yes, you could duplicate many of the things this Toa can do wit a variety of masks, but you have to be able to constantly switch masks in the midst of battle to do that. What if, as a non-Psionics Toa, you simply don't have time to do that?

As for the Toa of Gravity -- actually, the potential exists for elemental masks of any of the elements. You could put on a Mask of Fire and do much of what Tahu does, does that mean we don't need Toa of Fire in story? No, because a Toa of the element is going to be better able to control it than another Toa just wearing a mask.
