1Hmm, is it a clue or did he just not think of the Botar thing when he wrote that?

2Possibly... I personally think that he was using it as an example.

1Hello Greg:
21.What is the Toa of Plasma's Name?
32.What is the Toa of Gravity's name?
43.What is The other Toa of Sonics' name?
54.What is the Toa of Plantlife's name?
65.Gadunka Stonger than Brutaka is?
76.Is a Battle beteew Jaller and Makuta of Metru Nui?

81-4) Since names cost several thousand dollars to clear through Legal, I don't bother giving names to characters until they are going to play important roles in the story. 95) Possibly 106) I can't discuss future storyline

#8684
1I haven't gotten an answer, so I am resending them. 2Hello, I have just read the Prisoners of the Pit preview and I have some questions.
31. Is Pridak's curse something like insanity or rage? It seemed like that's what it may have been from the quote.
42. If not, can you give me a hint at what his curse might be?
5Now some not regarding the preview.
63. If a being were to somehow transfer his soul and possess Matoro and made him touch the mask, would he be cursed since it was his/her soul that made Matoro do it?
74. Do Bionicles have pores or anything like that? 84a. If not, how does, I believe his name is Bogorahk, use his spinner? Where does the water come out from.
95. Couls a toa of air rip out all the air from a beings lungs and body, or couldn't they do that?
106. If Karzahni or Artahka would die, would more beings like that be brought into being by Mata Nui or a Great Being to replace the dead one?
117. Can Mata Nui die of age, or is he immortal?
12Thank you for your time.

131) I actually think of it as sort of a glut of life -- everything Pridak is naturally, the mask makes him moreso. In this case, more enraged and more insane 143) Yes, because it was not Matoro's will that caused it to happen 154) I don't see how -- to have pores, you have to have skin, and bio-mechanical beings don't have skin 165) A Toa of Air can create a vacuum around someone to make them pass out. But I can't see him actually doing something as violent as you suggest 176) No. They were created by the Great Beings, not Mata Nui, and the Great Beings are nowhere around -- if they died, the GBs wouldn't even know about it 187) Well, we know he isn't immortal based on what has already been revealed about this year's story

1Hey Greg, there's been lots of commotion over Toa Lesovikk lately and I haven't really been able to keep up. So my question is; what part does Lesovikk have in the story-line? 2IPB Image

3Hasn't been revealed yet. His story is slated to be web only, on BIONICLEstory.com starting sometime this summer

4Thanks: I thought I was missing out on something good: 5IPB Image

1Trivia, and Lesovikk info. Or not. Depending on perspective.
2Hey Greg. Just a few questions:
31. You have mentioned that a Kualsi user risks teleporting into a solid object if he can't see where he's going. Doesn't Botar run the same risk during his trips to the Pit? 42. Do Fader Bulls that teleport into solid objects die as well? 53. Apparently, mental attacks in Bionicle have some sort of upper limit, after which "the pain can grow no worse". Is there any particular reason for this? 64. Is there a storyline reason for those "extra bullets" sticking out of the Mahri?
7Thanks for your time.

81) No, because he is always teleporting to the same spot. 92) Yup 103) Just the way mental attacks are. Unless you are trying to kill someone with it, there is a limit to how much damage you can do before the mind just shuts down (no longer feeling anything). 114) Don't know what you're referring to

12Thanks for the reply. 134. The Toa Mahri sets have red pins that look like Cordak ammo randomly stuck into them. Just wondering whether there was a storyline reason for those.
14And, a few more questions:
151. Is Lesovikk's team all dead? 162. Has he ever met the first Toa (the Toa of Water)? 173. Has he ever teamed with her? 184. Was he ever a Matoran? 195. Was he the first Toa of Air?
20Thanks for your time.

214) Not to my knowledge 221) Can't answer it, too early 232) I doubt it 243) I doubt it 254) Yes 265) Probably not

#8689

9So I guess that means that the first toa wasnt the only toa without a team...interesting...

1Were the nicknames of the Piraka (Snake, Beast etc) something they gave themselves, or were they their Dark Hunter codenames?

2The nicknames really never came into the story -- they were just seen as another way by which younger fans could remember the characters.

#8691
1Hi Greg: :howdy: I was wonderin'...
2#1. Is the thing on the back of Spinax's head a mask?
3#2. Is Axxon ever going to be involved in the storyline again?
4#3. If Axxon is in the 2007 storyline, will he succeed in rescuing Brutaka?
5#4. What does Brutaka look like now that he's mutated?
6#5. If Axxon is in the 2007 storyline, and if he succeeds in rescuing Brutaka, will Brutaka become good? ( that would be so cool: ) :OMG:

71) Not in the story, no 82) Yes, Bionicle Legends #8 93) No 104) Hasn't been revealed 115) Brutaka is bad because he has lost faith in Mata Nui. Unless he sees tangible evidence to change his mind on that, there is no reason for him to go back to being good. Axonn saving him would not prove Mata Nui has not abandoned his people, as Brutaka thinks he has.
12yay: Axxon's going to be in the story again: :happydance: And there's a chance Brutaka might become good: :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

1First, I wanted to thank you in advance for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer questions.
21) How intelligent is Maxilos?
32) Is Maxilos sentient?
43) What is the relationship between Maxilos and Spinax? master/pet, or partners?
54) If there is a mask of Fire, is it likely that it will begin in Ta-?
65) If a toa wears an elemental mask of their element, what happens?
76) are there Noble Elemental masks, and if so, what power level to they enable if worn by a Turaga?
87) does the Calix grant extra ability, or just make the wearer lucky?

9I think that's all the questions I have for now.
10Thanks:

111) Very 122) Yes 133) Master/pet 144) No idea, since there isn't one. What it was named would probably depend on what names we had cleared through Legal. 155) Odds are they wouldn't do that, since it wouldn't really add anything to what they could already do. 166) There could be, and the power level would be the same as that of any other Noble Mask 177) It basically is conferring extra ability, because it allows Jallers to, for example, dodge as well as it is possible for a Toa to dodge.

18Interesting.... 19Elemental masks only increase the power in their element to the power of a toa of that element. it doesn't give a boost. 20sad.... 21I was hoping to double the power of the Toa Nuva.... with masks... 22sad.
23and, even though Maxilos is Mr. Roboto, he is still intelligent and sentient...

1WOW:
2This PM from GregF appears to contain previously unconfirmed proof of multiple continents as well as talk of other lands.
3It also clears up a bit of placement issues in term of islands versus continents.
Toa_Ausar
4Dear Mr. Farshtey:
5The Atlas contains the following two statements that I'm seeking further clarification on:
BIONICLE: World - Page 34
6The Voya Nui landmass brok off from its home continent and rocketed upward until it reached the point where it now floats, well to the north of its starting point.
7[quoteBIONICLE: World - Page 89]
BIONICLE: World - Page 89
8At one time, the Pit was an enclosed area well to the south of any known island, a prison for those the Order of Mata Nui deemed beyond redemption.
9PLEASE NOTE: I added the bolding to emphasize the possible discrepancy.
10Thank you so much for your time.
11~ Toa Ausar
GregF
12Ausar,
13This is basically how I see the geography of the domes, north to south:
14Islands 15Pit 16Northern continents 17Large southern continent 18Unknown lands
19So Voya Nui broke off the southern continent, rocketed up to the ocean outside the domes, then floated north. Mahri Nui broke off it around the time it reached the Pit's original dome and acted as an anchor, bringing Voya Nui to stop.
20Greg

21Anyway, I'm excited about this and have sent several follow up questions which I will post here as soon as I receive them back.
22Until then.

1QUOTE 2Would it be possible for a disguised matoran of light to become a Toa in the normal way (Toa stone, Energized Prototdermis)?
3So then also would it be possible for Two Toa of light to exist (takuaother one)?

4Far as I know, there is no rule that Matoran of Light can only become Toa by donning an Avohkii, or that they can only wear that mask. So answer is POTENTIALLY yes.

11).Is the term "BIONICLE mainland" used for the southern continent inaccurate? (Due there being a northern continent) 22).Will Lesovikk meet the Mahri? 33).Do you know what the 2008 villains look like? 44).Is Gadunka physically stronger than the Mahri? 55).On a scale of 1 to 10, how smart was Maxilos before being possessed? (Makuta being a 10)

61) I wouldn't say so, because the southern continent is way bigger than the northern ones 72) I can't discuss future storyline 83) Yes 94) I would have to check his stats, I think he is 105) Well, Maxilos is a robot, so he knows what he is programmed to know, and you don't need to know that much to be a guard. So I would say about a 4, 4.5

#8697
1For future reference, Greg doesn't like scales of 1 to 10. He said so in a recent PM. So I would suggest that we don't give him any scales anymore. :)

1A few clarifications here --
2Hey, Greg -- following some of the newer revealed information, as well as my reading over older stuff, I found I have some questions. Hope you can help out --
3Will refer to the quote below in some questions, so may as well include it here --
4This is basically how I see the geography of the domes, north to south:
5Islands 6Pit 7Northern continents 8Large southern continent 9Unknown lands

101) [quoteBL6 Prologue
BL6 @ Prologue
11One set of tablets showed key points on the central continent.

12Does the central continent mentioned here refer to the Universe Core, the World That Feeds The World, or any of the (other?) northern/sourthern continents?
132) Are the unknown lands unknown to any/most Bionicle beings, or to the audience? Several places have referenced the Barraki as 'rulers of the known universe', so would those lands have been outside their kingdoms, had they succeeded in their conquests?
143) A. Would the Universe Core and the World That Feeds The World be included in the northern continents, or are they somewhere else to be found? 15B. And, if you can answer it, of course -- do those two names refer to one and the same location? Since the Matoran of Light colonized the Universe Core, and the Av-Matoran in Karzahni told how he had built the Toa Canisters in the WTFTW, it seems likely they could be one and the same location.
164) A. Speaking about the WTFTW, does it possibly -- if you can reveal it the time being -- have any relation to Metru Nui's energy sources, lightstones, the dome stars, and/or energized Protodermis? 17B. On the same note, does the Inika lightning have any relation to the energy in energized Protodermis, seeing as both apparently were capable of destroying Antidermis?
185) Regarding Voya Nui and the Mainland -- Is the Mainland dome flooded currently? If so, when Voya Nui goes back to it, as I believe was recently revealed, would the dome not have to be emptied for water somehow beforehand, as well as the hole in the dome ceiling, caused by Voya Nui when it 'rocketed upwards', having to be sealed?
19Thanks a lot in advance, and understand if there are things you cannot reveal yet. :)
20-Ikk

211) Refers to the mainland, the southern continent 222) Unknown to most BIONICLE beings 233a) No 243b) I haven't confirmed they are the same place 254a) Can't answer it 264b) Not to my knowledge, no 275) Actually, this is a good question. You will find out more later, but it is not as bad as you might expect.

1Here are some Q & As below:

2Hi I have a few more questions below:

31) Can you tell me any information about the toa nuva that are coming?
42) Does the artest have a say in what the characters look like?
53) Did you plan for most of what's happened in BIONICLE?
64) Did the comics get shorter and lose the middle staple because alot of the comics are given away free?

7Thanks for your time: :D

8Your big BIONICLE fan: Jordboy1 :miru:

91) There's nothing to share at this point 102) Who, Stuart? No. He doesn't work for LEGO Company -- he works from sets and set pics we send him. Stuart is a freelance artist who works for DC Comics. 113) Yes 124) No, because money was taken from the comic budget first half of this year to make the Barraki mini-movie. Those movies are extremely expensive to make.

#8700
1Some interesting tidbits on Lesivikk, Sarda and, Idris.
2So as I take it, the matoran that Karzahni 'fixed' and sent to the mailand, might not have been originally from there, right? 3Does Lesovikk know any other matoran from this or last year's storyline? 4Do Sarda and Idris even remeber him? 5What format will their mission be online? As a short story? 6Does Lesovikk give Sarda and Idris their breathing equipment/mission?
7GB #1

81) No, that was established last year -- Karzahni just wanted to send them away, he wasn't sending them back to where they came from. 92) Yes 103) Yes 114) Yes, serialized text 125) Follow the story and find out

13OK, well interesting, for 5 I beleive that that's a yes (though you never know).
14Anyway, for 3 how do they remember him if they don't remember basic stuff (like where they are)? 15Do they regognise him right away? 16Have they said stuff about him for the Throne of Vision? 17Was he the Toa protector of their island?

181) Sometimes seeing someone from your past can jar your memory 192) You'll have to follow the story for that 203) Haven't decided 214) Yes

#8701
1Hey, guys. I've got something pretty big, here. :) 2And please remember to use spoiler tags if you want to post something regarding number 3.

3Greetings, Greg: 4Just a few questions.
51. Just to gauge Hydraxon's skill level a little better, would you call a fight between him and Brutaka a fairly even match?
62. Do the blades on Brutaka's back do anything, or are they just powerless weapons?
73.
8This is a question you might not be able to answer: From what I read in Ignition 8, the Inika got transformed into the Mahri by the flash from the Ignika. What is bothering me here is that both times Jaller and company were transformed, they seem to be accidental changes, like the lightning from the Red Star. But I find it hard to believe that they were unintentional. So my question is, did the Ignika cause the lightning from the Star, knowing who it would hit and what would happen when it did?

94. Where will Lesovikk be appearing? I heard something about an animation.
105. In the answers to my last questions, you said that you have not decided whether Maxilos has any powers, and yet you have already finished the books for this year; and I find it a little odd that he would not use any powers in the books, unless he was being controlled by something that would use it's own powers. So have you given away something (whether intentionally or not) that I could use to figure out whether Makuta is possessing Maxilos?
11Thanks in advance: 12Gravitan

131) I would probably give a strength edge to Brutaka, but a skill edge definitely to Hydraxon. If you notice, most of Brutaka's successful attacks in 2006 were when he hit from behind. 142) I am not aware of them having any special powers 153)
16No, the Ignika did not cause the lightning from the red star.

174) Lesovikk's story is web only, and I am not aware of any plans for animations for it, just text to the best of my knowledge. 185) That's easy. Book 8 is done, but I still have to proof the final pages. So if I decide I want him to use powers or weapons, I can always add that in in the proofing stage.

19Greetings, Greg. 20Hope you're doing well today. 21Just some reactions.
221. So with all his skill, would you say that he is a formidable opponent for anyone to face, despite having no powers?
232. But can he still channel his electrical energy through them?
243.
25But did it intend to turn the Inika into the Mahri?

264. You're going to be writing the whatever-he's-in, right?
275. Okay, cool. So which are you leaning toward, powers or no powers?
28Thanks in advance: 29Gravitan

301) Yes 312) Like I said, I don't recall them having powers. They seem more like throwing daggers to me, as opposed to something you would channel energy through. 323)
33It sent out a call for help, and that was the result.

344) That's the plan 355) Haven't decided.

36EDIT: Tagged the rest of number 3., just in case.

1Hi, I just got the new comic, and it's very good. (I liked it when Takadox commented to Nocturn about the Zyglak's bad language.) I was wondering though... When the Ignika wards off the squids attacking it, you wrote:
2"Reduced to what they once were, they need never be troubled by hunger again."
3What did you mean by this? Were the squids turned into infants? Or do they have to go through some sort of transformation at an early age?

4No, they were reverted to basic molecules of organic protodermis. Infants would still need to eat (ever met a baby who wasn't hungry?)

5Organic protodermis molecules, eh?
#8706
11. Can beings other than Toa where more than one mask at a time? 2A. Not something I have thought about
32. Where did Axonn and Brutaka get there Kanohi? 4A. Same answer -- not something I have needed to worry about for the story.
53. Is Mata Nui's symbol any particular Hau? Great, Noble etc. 6A. The symbol always shown for him has been a Great Hau
74. Any plans for more alternate comic cover art for brick masters? 8A. Not at the moment
95. BI8, did the flash of light do anything other than transform the Inika? 10A. Yes, it shook the heck out of the Barraki
116. Where were the Inika when they got "flashed"? Where they still in the cord or in the water? 12A. In the water

137. If book sales don't go up will stuff stay the same, or will we have less books? 14A. Impossible for me to predict. If book sales continued to drop, it's entirely possible Scholastic would drop the license because stores would no longer want the books.
158. Do you read epics? I have one now. 16A. No, I am not allowed to read fan fiction
179. Will we learn how the mutagen originated? 18A. No plans for that
1910. Is there a name for the mutagen? 20A. Nope

1Got some good stuff from Greg.

2Greetings, Greg. 3Hope you're doing well today. 4Just a few questions.
51. Does Brutaka have an Element? Because he can fire beams of electrical energy.
62. Can Hydraxon take off his armor? Because thats what Medieval knights used to do if they lost their weapons: Take off some of their armor, and then beat the heck out of their enemies with it. I just figured that it sounded like something Hydraxon would do.
73. Why are Turaga called "elders"? Because if I am correct, the Mata Nui Turaga weren't any older than the Toa Inika.
84. Do the Toa Mahri's faces still glow?
95. How smart is Hydraxon?
106. Does Hydraxon's species have a name?
117. Is Hydraxon physically stronger than Maxilos?
128. Was Maxilos built in Artakha?
139. Why does Hydraxon chose not to wear a Kanohi?
1410. Does the WtFtW supply the energies within Kanohi Masks?
15Thanks in advance: 16Gravitan

171) No 182) Yes 193) No, but they seem like they are, the same way that, say, a 50 year old football player often seems older than another 50 year old who didn't play, because of all the injuries he sustained. Plus their time as Toa entitles them to the respect accorded an elder. 204) No 215) Pretty smart 226) Yes 237) I would need to check my stats 248) I doubt it 259) Actually pretty much the same reason the Barraki choose not to -- because it's a crutch in his eyes. A being should win his battles with might and skill, not because he has a mask .. and he shoudn't lose them just because someone knocked the mask off. 2610) Can't answer it

27Too bad he couldn't answer number ten. Oh, well. Maybe next time. :)
#8709
1Not much here:
21. Everyone knows that BIONICLE Legends sales dropped last year, resulting in the cancelation of Invasion. But if more people knew about the books, the sales would probably go back up. What if you dedicated a page of LEGO Magazine to advertise the next book coming out? What if you did what starwars.com does with the Last of the Jedi series and other book series or stand alone books, which is post a preivew of the book (usually the cover art) and a short non-spoiler summary of it? What if you did something like that, only with the Legends series on lego.com? Both suggestions would cost money, but at the same time they would spread more awareness of the series. Just a suggestion. :)
32. Now for the storyline question:
4You've given us the Intro and part of Chapter 1 of book 7, a preview of the Tryna, and quotes from the Barraki, Toa, Nocturn, and Hydraxon. But none of the quotes you've given us from either Prisoners of the Pit or Downfall have had a quote from Maxilos. Could you please give us one? I'll understand if you can't.

51) The plan for a preview online is something we have discussed, most likely for BIONICLE.com. Unfortunately, the magazine thing is harder to do -- that can only happen if Scholastic is willing to purchase an ad page, which they haven't done much in the past.
62) No, I want to hold off on that

1I take it a Remove Poison disk wouldn't 'cure' the Barraki of the Pit mutagen? If it would surely they would have ordered Nocturn to go get one by now...

2I recently got Comic#25-26 (they are 2 in 1, but too bad #27 isn´t going to be published :( ) and it caused some doubts (hope you can clear them),

201) Because he felt the Toa focused too much on grand, cosmic-level threats and not enough on the dangers Matoran face every day. 212) Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of that issue handy, so hard for me to answer that right now. 223) All the 2007 books have been written, yes 234) I don't recall saying that 245) Probably not, it's not relevant to the story and I can't take BIONICLE names off our list unless it's for something important. 256) Yes, I think so 267) Anything's possible 278) He may not even have been a Toa, we don't know at this point. 289) Yes 2910) It's not really a spoiler -- they are going to free the Bahrag in Book 7 3011) I don't understand your question 3112) If I am asked to by the company, then yes 3213) It's free, we give them away. Our contract with DC does not allow us to sell them 3314) Our BIONICLE comics are free at the LEGO booth, always. But if you go to a comic dealer in the hall looking for old Spider-Man or Batman comics or other non-BIONICLE comics, you'll see prices of $60 an issue, $120 an issue, and more in some places.

2If you see the set closely you´ll find that his "Mask" don´t cover his mouth (it looks like it is only in his head), so I asked if he use it like that or if it covers his mouth in the story :)
