The OoMN Chronicler
1I would think masks of negative nature would be like these: 2Confirmed: 3Kraahkan-Mask of Shadows 4Tryna-Mask of Reanimation 5Examples: (My thoughts) 6-Mask of Retaliation (get hit, use mask, opponent gets hit with double the force.) 7-Mask of Absorbtion (suck energy/life force out of nearby Rahi and plants, killing anything too weak. Like in Eragon, sucking power from the environment, but with a cost.) 8-Mask of Mutation (Mutran, anyone?)
9Edit: I made a topic about this, so we don't have to clutter up the OGD: What Do You Think Would Be a Mask of Negative Nature?
10:t: :m_o: :c:

11Good ones.
12We must stop PM Greg unless nessasery because he's getting really busy and I haven't got a reply consist of 3 question that was sent 3 days ago.
#10922
1A few questions about the "evil" Av-Matoran"
21) Are they actually evil?
32) Are they working with the Makuta willfully?
43) Why are the helping the Makuta?
54) Why do the Makuta want them?
65) Do the Makuta need to know something from the Av-Matoran?
76) Have the "evil" Av-Matoran been transformed?
87) If so, was it by those orbs in the Makuta's chests?
98) Are the creatures in those orbs mutant Kratta?
109) Can those orbs transform things?
1110) Can those orbs drain light from things?
12Thanks for your time :)

13Since these all relate to 2008 story events, I can't answer them.

1The first Toa dosn't nessisarily have to follow the rules of other Toa. The 'no killing' rule might have been before her time. And actually it would make sense that she might see that their would be some instances where you would need to get rid of a particularly dangerous enemy and so created the OoMN so that her fellow Toa wouldn't have to break their vows to never kill anyone. This would also explain why other Toa aren't allowed to be members.

2still, she might have changed her rules if she heard toa didn't kill. and besides, it just another baseless theory and please don't plant this information anywhere like it's confirmed.
3-Technoman

4You miss my point, I said that she could have made the OoMN because Toa don't kill, as a method to continue doing the jobs that would require that sort of thing. And I never claimed that this idea is fact, olny an idea.

5It makes sense logically but I don't think that's the case(I don't know why).

1Me 2First of all I want to say thanks for answering my questions. 31.)Is it posible for the to Inika to use each-others masks? 42.)Is it posible for the toa mahari to switch masks, or use other masks, can other toa use mahari masks? 53.)Can a toa of gravity/mask of gravity make the area low gravity to make oneself and or friends jump higher if not why? 64.)Can a toa of gravity/mask of gravity alow you to swich gravity sideways/upsidedown to help you an or your friends walk on walls if not why? 75.)In the bionicle movies toa are seen jumping ridiculasly high (Gali jumps from a small hut to the top of Onu-Koro:) can toa do this or is this just in the movies? 86.)How come Hewikii can make hands come out of the ground isint that a toa of earths area? 97.)didn't once you said in theory a toa of water could manipulate the water in a tree but would never do so because it would confuse yonger children? (just wanted to check) 108.)What toa (if any) can control or create sand? 119.)Lava can be made out of fire and ether earth or stone right? 1210.)Can hewikii chanel his powers out of his climing chain and or electric chains? 1311.)Toa Kongu Mahari can chanel his element out of his guns can the others? 1412.)Toa can chanel their power out of their hands so I was wondering if they can out of: their feet, eyes, mouth, and on this subject could a toa chanel their power out of axonns axe?
15Sorry for all of these dumb questions and thank you again.

16Greg 171) Yes 182) Yes 193) It can remove gravity from around you or around someone else, but not both at the same time. 204) Theoretically, it could, yes 215) Onu-Koro is underground, so not sure how jumping to the top of it would require great height? 226) Not if there is stone under the ground, no. The hands Hewkii makes are made of stone, not earth. 237) There are a lot of things Toa could do, on the molecular level, that would make sense given their powers but would confuse younger readers, so we don't have them do them. 248) At this point, there is no Toa who can do so in story. 259) No. Lava is molten rock, not molten dirt. 2610) Yes 2711) Yes 2812) Yes on the axe, no on other parts of their bodies

11: Would there be any way that Tahu could retreive more Kanohi Nuva to replace the destroyed ones?
22: Where Ehrye and Vhisola left on Metru Nui?
33: Wouldn't the Matoran on Metru Nui logically still have 'Tohunga' bodies? 43a: Would the Turaga tell them how to rebuild their bodies?
54: Could you give us some more insight on the Matoran on Mata Nui that moved, like more info on their Metru Nui jobs?
65: How did the Matorn replace their masks if they forgot the art of mask making?
76: Why did Brander, Kapura, Nuhrii/Nuri, Tehutti/Tehuti, Hafu, Kivi, and Kongu's have to replace their original masks?

81) Well, first he would have to find Kanohi destined to be changed, because otherwise they would just be destroyed by EP. Most of his masks were made on Artakha, so that would be the most likely source to get more from. 92) No. They traveled to Mata Nui with the rest of the Matoran, and then back to Metru Nui at the start of the 2006 storyline. 103) All the Matoran on Metru Nui were Matoran on Mata Nui, and were taught how to rebuild themselves during the 2003 storyline. No Matoran were left behind on Metru Nui when the city was evacuated. 114) I really don't have time to do this today, but those Matoran who appeared in story in both places have their occupations listed in the BIONICLE Encyclopedia. 125) The Toa Metru brought spare masks with them when they evacuated the city following the 2005 storyline. 136) Because their old masks got damaged.

1About the First Toa conversation, I asked Greg about it and here's what he said. :)
2Hi Greg. :) There's been a little dispute in the OGD and I want to help resolve it:
31) Onemember said that he/she thinks the First Toa (FT) may be the leader on the OOMN. But then another member said she can't be cause the OOMN have killed others, meaning a Toa could never be their leader, cause Toa don't kill. can you proove/disproove this theroy?
4Also, an unrelated one that came to mind:
52)It seems to me that a Toa can channel their elemental powers though anything made of metalic Protodermis, is this true or not?
6Thank you. :) 7~CN

81) I'm not going to reveal the OOMN leader's identity until next year. As far as the "Toa don't kill" argument, we have never stated when that code was put into place. So it is difficult to say if it would apply to the very first Toa who ever existed.
92) A Toa can channel their powers through their hands, if they have to. 10Bah: That's not what I ment.><

11Anyways, KoE's right when he says that her ways of justice may be "grandpaed", so to speak. But we still don't have any proof that she's the leader, or even if the leader is female. ;)
12~CN
13EDIT: Wait a second: I just remembered that the OOMN was disbanded when Toa came into being. But the OOMN was founded by the HoA's founder, or so Greg said. So she can't be. Unless I have my facts wrong.
#10928
1Wait. In Bionicle World, didn't it say this?:
2No Toa are allowed in our group because they have their own destinies to finish.
3Or something along those lines? (I'm at school so I don't have the book with me)
4So why would the First Toa be the leader?

1Hi Greg
2Some questions
31- I've heard that the phantoka makuta have one of kind masks, is this correct?
42- Is Ahkmou still working for MoMN?
53- Could more than 6 (like 7) different toa elements still create a protodermis shield?
64- Can masks also been forged in other shapes, like a mask in the shape of hydraxon's face?
75- Are there differences between the personalitys between a female and male toa of light?
86- Also the closest thing a female and male matoran /toa can have is close friendship?
97- Can there be toa (like a toa of fire) that has shadow charged attacks? (just like the inika)
108- What do you think is the best color for lighting? (I don't mean 'what's the official color')
119- Do all av-matoran have extra powers?
1210- Can a toa of light create a solid illusion?
13Also in my opinion toa of metal souns better because: iron is metal so it sounds like it could only control one metal instead of all 14But that is my opinion
15That's all for now

161) Actually, I think my answer to that had been that I hadn't decided 172) No, because as far as he knows, MoMN died during the events of Mask of Light 183) You would end up with something else being created, not solid protodermis 194) Yes 205) Yes, there are always differences in personalities between males and females 216) Yes. We don't do romance in BIONICLE 227) No, shadow is not a Toa ability 238) No idea. I am not a visual person, I think in words, so I don't imagine how things look 249) Yes 2510) No, though it is something he is trying to learn to do
26But "Iron Man" sounds a lot cooler than "Metal Man," in my opinion.

27Hi some new questoins about the above
283- What do 7 elements create than? 293b- Will it be in the story?
307- Could a toa of shadow be created when someone falls in energized protodermis and it his destiny to transform into a toa of shadow? 317b- Or could a toa of shadow be created by the brotherhoods mutations?
329- Can a av-matoran be amphibious as extra power?
33--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 34The new questions
351- You once said that the personalitys of the lightning matoran where like lightning itself (never sits still enz) does that means that it is the same personality as air? 361b- Also about Nikila's quotes, does that means she will refer other toa as sis and bro instead of sister and brother? 37(I've gotten that impression)
382- Could there be a mask of shapeshifting?
39That's all for now

403) Hasn't been revealed, since it has never happened in story 417) No. EP has never been shown to change your element. 427b) The only way a Toa of Shadow can be created is to 1) take an existing Toa and drain all light from him or 2) drain all light from a Matoran destined to become a Toa and wait for him to evolve. 439) No.
441) No, I don't see lightning as being as gentle-natured as air is. 451b) I don't understand your question. Nikila never refers to Lesovikk as bro, so why would she? 462) Already is -- the Great Mask of Illusion allows for shapeshifting.

47About 7b, I finally got my answer about a toa of shadow :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:
#10930
1Just some questions... 21. Will the first Toa appear as a combiner in '08? 32. If Lesovikk had the chance to kill Karzahni, would he? 43. Is killing someone a bad enough crime to send a Toa to the Pit? 54. Why is Nikila's mask called the Mask of Possibilities and not the Mask of Probabilites? It doesn't sound like a mask that would affect probabilites when it has a name like that. 65. Will the Nuva get Matoro's mask while they are in the Universe Core? 76a. Do Matoran know that they live in domes? 86b. Does anyone? If yes, who? 97a. Does the Toa Ignika have separate conscious from the Kanohi Ignika? 107b. If not, what happens when the MoLi is removed? (If it can be) 118. Why did LEGO stop making different eye colors? 129. Will there be a storyline reason why the Nuva's eye colors changed? 1310. You probably don't know this, but do all the Nuva have yellow eyes, or just Kopaka? 1411. Does Krakua have a team?
15Thanks in advance:

161) At the moment, we don't have plans for that, no. 172) Follow the story and find out 183) No. The code against killing is a Toa code, not an OOMN code, and the OOMN decides who goes to the Pit. 194) Because she changes what is possible. 205) No. Matoro's mask no longer exists, it turned to energy along with his body 216a) The Matoran of Metru Nui do, and the Toa Mahri and Nuva do, and the Makuta know. 227a) No. 237b) The body would cease to exist. 248) Asking the wrong person -- I do story, not set design. 259) Nope 2610) You're right, not something I am paying attention to. 2711) Not at this point in story, no

1Hullo:
21) You've said there won't probably be a Toa of Protodermis, but suppose a Toa Nui was formed, would he be able to control Protodermis?
32) Could Takanuva create a "Light Hand", just as Makuta has his "Shadow Hand"?
43) How does Toa Jovan's Magnetic Bolt Launcher work? If he shot a Muaka for example, what would happen?

51) But there's never going to be a Toa Nui in the story, so the point is moot. 62) Yes, the same way Pohatu can create a stone hand or Tahu can create a fire hand. 73) It would pin the Muaka to the ground beneath a cone of magnetic force

#10937
1I decided to show folks my Q&A's with Greg, as before I would usually use them in the S&T, but I don't have time to get into the conversation anymore, so yea:
2Hey Greg,
3While going through and updating the Official Powers Topic with tools/objects that had powers, I had wondered about a few things, because in the past there was talk about which way it really was:
41) Thok's Ice Gun, which can fire ice beams, taps into his elemental power to do so. The BS01 Wiki page says that it can also be used simply to channel his elemental powers -- like how Matoro could with his Twin Cutters. I doubt this is true, and that it's a misinterpretation of Thok's gun tapping into his ice power to use the gun, correct?
52) Same thing with Hakann's Lava Launcher, which you said taps into his elemenatal power to help create the lava balls. He can't use it to channel his fire power, just the gun uses his power to fire, right?
63) Also, from the Piraka bios long ago, it said that there were only five shots in his gun, which you said to be false, because the launcher can just tap into his power to make another ball each time, right? The BS01 Wiki page says that "While an effective weapon, it can only hold five rounds of lava spheres, meaning Hakann must constantly reload his weapon." I can bet that this was not on the page before BS01 was completely deleted and re-started, but as all the pages were created from scratch a few months ago, whoever was trying to make the page remembered this note, but didn't realize you had said it was false, right?
74) And finally, the Nui Stone -- I believe you said that the energy could only be absorbed by a Toa, right? Not any living being, but Toa specifically. Toa Tuyet said living being, but I think you specified it to be just another Toa.
8Thanks, :D
9~U

101) It can only be used for that if used in conjunction with another Piraka who is using his elemental powers. 112) Same answer as #1 -- if he is working with another Piraka, he can use it to channel his power. 123) Correct 134) Yes, I did. It's Toa energy that is being absorbed, so no being other than a Toa can make use of it -- it would be like putting diesel in an unleaded engine.

141) So technically can't all the Piraka's weapons channel their powers, if they use it in conjunction with another Skakdi?
15And for a quick confirmation for the BoM topic:
162) I believe you said that the Phantoka Makuta have all 42 Rahkshi powers, and are fully powered Makuta, whereas the summer Makuta are not fully powered, but do have specific powers (Mutran has a specialty in mutation, for instance), correct?
173) Do the summer Makuta still all have the primary power of Shadow, along with a couple other special powers?
184) These not-fully powered summer Makuta weren't always that way, right? All Makuta were born with the same strength and power levels. I suppose just for this purpose on their "mission" on the UC, they aren't for some reason.
19Thanks,
20~U

211) Yes 222) Correct, with one exception, Mutran is not a summer Makuta, he's a winter Makuta. 233) Yes 244) No, they were not always that way -- this is a recent development

25So some clarification on the Lava Launcher and Ice Gun -- which I always thought was clear, but evidently not so :P 26And some confirmation for the BoM topic about the Makuta next year. 27Oh, and Mutran is a winter Makuta :D, and as stated earlier in the OGD -- the other titan set. So isn't that 8 Makuta right there? :P Two titans, three Phantoka Makuta, three summer Makuta.
28Anywhoo -- off to update topics and such now. :P

#10938
1Old or new, I don't know. But it's worth reading. :)
2Questions. :)1. A fellow member named Swert and I were discussing about the number of Toa living in the Matoran Universe. Recently, you stated that 61 Toa live, now that Matoro has died. From my calculations, there really should be 55 Toa. After the coming of the Toa Inika/Mahri, there were 50 Toa. The Toa Hagah reappeared after their transformation from Rahaga to Toa. That makes 56 Toa. Then Matoro died, making it 55 Toa. Swert gave you a question saying that there were 50 Toa, and then the Toa Inika came, which made it 56 Toa. Then the Toa Hagah showed up, making the numbers to 62 Toa. Matoro died, and so now there's 61. You agreed with Swert. So, my question is, am I right about the 55 Toa living, or is Swert right about the 61 Toa living?
32. I am quite sure that the Makuta of Metru Nui was not expecting a large door to fall on him. Had the door not fallen on him and crushed him, how would he have proceeded with the Mask of Life plan, hypothetically speaking?
43. Recently, you stated that Av-Matoran could be drained of Light, and thus corrupted. Is this what the Brotherhood of Makuta did to the Matoran we see as sets next year?
54. I am having some difficulty on how to differentiate the 2003 Toa Nuva from the 2008 Toa Nuva on the BS01 Wiki. Like how can we make them separate with names? Call the 2008 Toa Nuva as Toa Phantoka, for at least Lewa, Pohatu, and Kopaka?
65. How come there is no new name for the 2008 Toa Nuva?
76. Is there a storyline reason why the Ignika is silver this year? Is it because Mata Nui is alive now, and so it only turns gold when Mata Nui is dying? I kind of doubt that the Ignika would just change colors for the fun of it, considering that the 2007 Ignika is the same shape as the 2008 Ignika.
87. I am not sure if you can answer this, but would the Toa Ignika be considered a Toa?
98. Is everything that the BoM has planned on track?
109. How many Av-Matoran might we see next year?
1110. Since the answer about the picture with the Bohrok and Balta will be answered next year, does that mean we will see Balta and/or the Voya Nui Resistance Team next year?
1211. Is next year's location an island?
1312. How many major event locations will we see next year? Like this year, there were two, the Pit and Mahri Nui.
1413. The Rahi Nui was created on Metru Nui, right?
1514. Has Lesovikk ever been to Metru Nui? Because it states in the Encyclopedia 2 that he battled the Rahi Nui once. And I am pretty sure the Rahi Nui hasn't been anywhere but Metru Nui and Mata Nui. And I doubt that Lesovikk has been to Mata Nui.
1615. Is there an OoMN member on Metru Nui? If so, what's he/she been up to?
1716. What are the Toa Hagah up to now after the Xia incident?
1817. Lhikan has met Lesovikk's Team, correct?
1918. Lesovikk saw Matoro, but Matoro did not see Lesovikk, correct? I think this is during the battle between Makuta of Metru Nui and Karzahni.
2019. During the events when Matoro uses the Mask of Life and the other Toa Mahri are transported to Metru Nui, where is the Toa Nuva, and what are they doing? Where is Lesovikk and what's he doing?
2120. Are the Phantoka Nuva looking for the Mask of Life?

221) I believe I already discussed this issue with Swert last week and gave him an answer to it. 232) He probably would still have used the Piraka or some other surrogates to go after the Mask but the whole antidermis thing and the possessing Maxilos thing would not have happened. 243) Actually, that can happen to any Matoran, or Toa, or any other being who has light in them. As for next year, you'll find out next year. 254) Phantoka is not really a team name -- but now you are seeing why we have to give the same Toa a new name every year they come back, because it gets confusing for the retailers too. 265) Because the old Nuva came out six years ago, and we don't have to worry about them still being in retailers' ordering systems -- that is the only reason we change team names. 276) Well, it made a body for itself, perhaps it felt silver looked better with its body than gold would ... or perhaps the change in color in this instance is because it is the first time that it ever made a body for itself and it is a power drain ... take your pick. 287) I do not consider him one, for the purposes of counting Toa, no. He/it is an animated mask. 298) Pretty much, yes 309) Depends on the number you have seen so far 3110) No 3211) You'll find out next year 3312) See answer to #11 3413) I don't believe we ever stated that. I believe we have stated it was created by Makuta, but he was not living on Metru Nui. He was in his lair, which is not in the city. 3514) No. Why do you assume the Rahi Nui would never have been active anywhere else? 3615) Same thing OOMN members are always up to, keeping an eye on things and staying largely out of sight. 3716) They are still dealing with the Xia situation 3817) Wrong. Lhikan met Lesovikk's team in the alternate future created by Karzahni. In reality, Lesovikk's team was long dead well before Lhikan ever became a Toa. 3918) Correct 4019) The Toa Nuva are in Artakha, I believe, and as for Lesovikk, his serial is not done yet. 4120) Again, you will find all this out next year.

421. What was your answer to Swert? 435. But wouldn't it be confusing to storyline geeks, like myself, on how to differentiate the new Toa Nuva from their older selves? What you're saying about retailers make sense, but I think it would have been much clearer if there was a new name. 447. Does the mask consider itself as a Toa? What's the reason to having a name for the set as Toa Ignika? 4513-14. Where was the Rahi Nui created then? 46New Questions: 471. The Brotherhood invaded the Universe Core in order to control when the Mask of Life can be used, if it will be used at all. The Makuta of Metru Nui wants Mata Nui awake. The Mask of Life can only fully restore Mata Nui's health, not his awaken him, right? Matoro already used the Mask of Life and restored Mata Nui's health. So what was the purpose of the Brotherhood to invade the Universe Core? The Ignika has already been used. 482. How do we differentiate the new masks that the Toa Nuva receive from their old Kanohi Nuva masks?

491) This is how I figure it. We had stated that there were 50 existing Toa at one point -- which I believe included the Inika (if I am right about when it was said -- if I'm not, then this answer is off :)) You then add six for the Toa Hagah, plus Toa Krakua, and subtract Matoro, and you end up at 56. 505) But there is nothing you can be beyond a Nuva, and if they aren't actually transforming -- just getting new armor -- why would they change their names? Keep in mind, most BIONICLE fans were not around in 2002-2003, so they aren't discussing the old Nuva that much. 517) It does consider itself a Toa, yes, that was the point of why it took that shape 5213-14) Most likely either in one of Makuta's lairs or on Destral. M's lairs were not on Metru Nui, they were in the Great Barrier and in the caverns between Metru Nui and Mata Nui.
531) But Mata Nui can only be awakened from the core, so if you want to, for example, keep him from being awakened, then that is where you concentrate your forces. 542) The only difference is their appearance. Their names and powers are the same.

#10939
1Once I pmed you with a question of will the mutated piraka become sets again? 2You responded that you can't bring back villains except for Makuta because of a bad sale on bohrok kal and you don't want a repeat of that. 3The bohrok kal were complete copies and that is why they didn't sell well. Mutated piraka could look completely different than they used to. They could also have mutated difdferently than one another so why can't this ever happen. The toa all have at least two years sowhy can't any popular villains return?
4My second question is that 2007 seems like a dead end for most of the characters. Barakki- Trapped in the pit for eternity, Maxilos- Damaged beyond repair, Hydraxon II- Also stuck in pit (or is he amphibious?) and if he turns back into dekar he dosen't even exist anymore, Karzahni- might get killed by Lesovikk or just stay stuck in pit due to mutation, Lesovikk Idris and Sarda- all have been mutated and will be stuck in pit, Piraka- also stuck in pit due to mutation.
5Please tell me these characters don't simply disappear off of the face of the bionicle storyline forever. All my fav characters are in this list: (Piraka, Barakki, and Karzahni)

61) Toa sell way better than villain sets do in general. If I build an entire year's story around mutated Piraka, for example, I am basically putting out sets that are the heads and spines of the old sets -- do you really think those will sell better than all-new villain sets will? Especially when someone who owns the original sets could just take the spine and head off and make them for himself? In general, it just doesn't make sales sense to do this.
72) Piraka are not stuck in the Pit -- their storyline gets resolved in Bionicle Legends #8. Barraki may return in web serials next year. Maxilos, once Makuta is out of him, has no personality anyway. As for Karzahni, Lesovikk, Idris and Sarda, we haven't finished their serial yet, so I am not sure how you can know what their fate will be.

8Just thought this might be interesting to all those piraka lovers and the people that are worried about our pit inmates fate. I thought that Krzahni would be trapped because he only breathes water now. Guess not. "shruggs" I didn't understand the whole take of the piraka's heads and spines bit.

1ok greg this might seem very small compared to the other number of posts but i only have one question. It has probably already been answered but how many toa elements are possible? I mean from books i have learned that there are fire, ice, water, earth, stone, air, light, plasma, magnatism, lightning, plant life, gravity, sonics, and iron. I know there are 14 elements but could there be more? Is there an exact number? i'm very curious.

17b) The only way a Toa of Shadow can be created is to 1) take an existing Toa and drain all light from him or 2) drain all light from a Matoran destined to become a Toa and wait for him to evolve.

2let me get this straight, so there can be a Toa of Shadow as long as one of these conditions are met?

1Here's some questions I asked Greg:

2I already sent you some questions, and I'll ask a few of them again, so sorry, but I also have new ones.
31a. Why didn't the Toa Nuva go into Kaita groups, or are they working on new ones? 41b. Can they even go Kaita anymore?
52a. Since this year is all about the brotherhood, will there be a year entirely about dark hunters etc.?
63a. Do bionicles have organs, I know the skakdi have lungs, but do they have other ones, like hearts, or even a brain. 73b. Can they bleed?
84a. Do they have computers?
95a. Would you say their armor is basically metal skin?
10I asked you questions before , but I think they were eaten, so sorry.

111) Two reasons. One, we have already done kaita a few times in the story, and it gets boring to do it too often. And two, when we did do them, it was because we had existing combination models of the Nuva that formed kaita. Since the old Nuva sets are no longer available, no one can build those kaita now, so no point in promoting models that most fans cannot build. 122) I can't discuss future storyline 133) We know that Toa have organic lungs, because they are shown in the movies. Beyond that, we have not discussed what organs they do or don't have. 143b) No 154) No 165) No, because armor can be removed.

171. I understand 182.Understandable 193. Very confusing to me. 203b. I distinctly remember C.A. Hapka, the old writer of the novels, saying one of the Toa Mata was bleeding. 214. They have chutes, hover pads, and blimps yet 100,000 years hasn't led to a computer. 225. So if they removed all their armor, they would be completely organic?

23We know the Toa are Bio-mechanical which means they are part machine part organic, there organic parts can completly rot away and the Toa can still function albeit painfully as Onua remarks when first arriving on Mata Nui. Which means they have to have something like a computer for a brain. When the Toa Mata first arrived on Mata Nui, Onua commented that they had no organic parts (which is why they shot out of their transport canisters in pieces since there was no organic muscle to hold them together.) I do also remember on of the Toa Bleeding and Gali Healing him, which makes sense because what powers that organic tissue, Hydrolic Oil? On a final note, they do have computers in the Bionicle world, in the First Mata Nui Online game if you go to Onu-Koro and shut off the lava valve, then go into the crystal cavern there is the Onu-tohunga foreman of the dig in there he is wearing a black Miru and in his hand is a compter panel which he checks freqently to monitor progress. Takua the chronicler also carries a computer like thing throughout the duration of the game. Finally in Bionicle 3 Web Of Shadows when the toa heroically fly off in the blimps, there must be some computer-controlled flight device for the blimp because in that shot, all 6 Toa are standing on the back platform of one of the blimps waving to the Rahaga, sooo who is flying the other blimps? Can't be the Matoran because none had been activated yet, and the Visorok and Vahki certainly wouldn't do it. :tohu:
#10945
1There are no computers in Bionicle, and only organic beings such as sea squid and blood snails have blood, hence the name blood snail. :P

111) Is there a storyline reason that three of the Av-Matoran look like the Matoran? Or is it only a set thing?

211) I don't understand your question.

311) I meant why Radiak, Gavla and Kirop looked like the three Makuta.
4Also, I have a question on Matoran of Shadow. 5You said that the only way to have Matoran of Shadow was to have the light drained out of them, and the Matoran will be corrupted. You also said that any being would be corrupted if light was drained from them. If so, am I correct to say that the "light" refers to the Matoran's "good side", and not light elemental energy? Or do you mean that when "light" is drained out of Av-Matoran, it refers to their "good side" and elemental energy and the "light" drained out of other beings is just their good side? 6Does that mean that we can't actually have a Matoran with the element of Shadow?

71) Yes 82) It basically is their good side, which manifests itself as light -- simply not necessarily light that could be wielded as elemental energy. And no, there are no naturally occurring Matoran of Shadow, it is not a Matoran element.

91) So it's a set thing only? 102) If a being was drained of light (their "good side"), would the result just be an evil being? 112a) So there's no way, naturally or unnaturally, to get a Matoran with the element of Shadow? 122b) Can Matoran/Toa/Turaga be taught how to use shadow? (Like how Roodaka can)

131) Since the Matoran are meant to be paired with individual canister sets, it made sense to have there be a resemblance. 142) As opposed to what? 152a) Yes, if you drain the light, he gets shadow power -- in the same way Roodaka was able to tap into her shadow. 162b) For a normal Toa/Matoran/Turaga, it would be a dangerous process to undertake -- sort of like using the dark side of the Force

17I'm really confused. Shadow power: Element of Shadow? Can't be, he said "yes", which means it's impossible for there to be a Matoran of Shadow. Argh... 18So you drain light, you get shadow.....Hmm...Wonder if a Makuta's shadow can be drained.

19interesting questions 20but makuta is probably to dark to do that
#10948
1so what can be used to drain light in order to get a shadow Toa?
#10949
1Are we going to see any more of the Matoran who were named in MNOG 2 (like Kumo or Jaa) get further roles in the storyline?

2Since none of those names ever got cleared through Legal and we are not allowed to use them, I would say it is highly doubtful.

3So there you have it. Fans of the MNOG 2 Matoran can safely kill them off, or make them become Toa, in fan-fiction without being worried that Greg'll make them appear again (That was my primary reason for asking that question - I need three of them to become Toa later in my epics)
#10950
What?
16) Nope, not a typo. I think it would be good if it was still cracking, and in its last few days (or whatever next year's Bionicle time period is) it decides to become a hero
2(Toa Ignika)

3and then is destroyed near the end of the year. It doesn't actually need to be cracking still, just as long as it's destroyed. I've had enough of that mask. We've already had two years with it, c'mon... Almost two years, anyway.

4Actually, the Ignika breaking would be a very bad thing. Since it's a legendary mask, it is tied to the existence of life. Remember what would happen if the Vahi was broken?

1I just have one really short question:
2On BS01, we do not know when Bob Thompson had resigned. Can you tell us what year it was? Thank you. :) 3~CN

5Not sure if this has any importance, but I'll post it just in case. :) 6~CN

1Hello Mr Farshtey. I was wondering if you could answer these questions for me
21. As you know, the mask of life will curse anyone who dares touch it, and currently its in the universe core, correct. So how are the Toa nuva gonna get the mask of life, without being cursed.
32. Can you agree that 2007 and 2008 have/ are going to be bad years for toa of fire
43. You said that the nuva's new armor is going to be adaptable, right. So does that mean it could...
5-protect against fire
6-protect against mutagen
7-protect against mental attacks [doesn't seem likely
84. Could MOMN's spirit transfer its selve into one of the toa mahri, and get back to metru nui [VIA matoros teleporting
95. Is it possible you could reveal one of the names or powers of the Phantoka makuta

10Darth matrix, the mastermind know-it-all of all

111) Follow the story and findout 122) No. Why would they be? If flying was a problem for characters with fire powers, then fire-breathing dragons wouldn't be so feared. 133) No. It adjusts to the environment you are in. So if you are underwater, it will adjust so you can survive there, etc. It can't protect against mutagen or mental attacks -- it doesn't function like a mask power, it's just armor. 144) No -- MoMN can only inhabit a living body if it has no spirit in it. All of the Mahri's spirits are in their bodies. 155) The names of three Phantoka Makuta were announced in a BZP article a long time ago.

16I'm terribly sorry, Mr Farshtey. For 5, I wanted the mask names and mask powers [ if possible. Also, Ive got some more, so could you please answer these
171. Is MOMN gonna be in 2008
182. Do the evil av-matoran have masks 192b. Have they gotten new masks from the makuta, or not
203. Are lewa, kopaka and pohatu going to get jetpacks, or natural flight abilities
214. Could their ever be a toa of elemental energy, or a toa able to control every element
225. Which element is your favorite 235b. Which is your least favorite
246. Is the universe core got a enviroment like mata-nui [island or other

25Darth matrix, beauty bad = Pretty bad

26I am not releasing the mask info yet, it's too early.
271) Can't answer it 282) Yes 292b) No, their own just changed shape 303) Lewa, Kopaka and Pohatu all get different flying aids via their armor 314) I think that would way unbalance the story -- you would basically have a Toa of Everything. 325) Ice 335b) Air and earth are both tough to write about, at times 346) It is its own place, it doesn't really look like somewhere else we have done

21. Any idea when we'll see pictures of Icarax and Mutran? 32. I started a topic about negative-nature masks, and a Mask of Agony (makes enemy feel unexplained pain) seems popular. Would a mask like that be possible? 43. How many web serials do you plan on doing next year? 54. Out of curiousity, was the summer Makuta's loss of power planned, or an accident? 65. Have you ever watched Pirates of the Caribbean?

1Hi Greg, have some stuff for you:
21.) Is it possible for the core to have weather? Maybe rain, sun, possibly even snow? 31a.) In all the pics I've seen, the core (Or at least the area the Nuva/Makuta are in) looks really, really dark. Can it even get any sunlight?
42.) I know the SoS is huge, but how big is the arial enviroment the Nuva/Makuta are in? Or are they concentrating in one general area?
53.) Not sure if you can answer this, but here goes: If the Ignika (After Matoro used it) fell into the Swamp, then how did it get from there to having a body and being in the same area as the Nuva/Makuta, and flying around with them. Does BL9 explain this a little bit more?
64.) Just clearing this, does Mutran still have all his regular Makuta powers, and Natural Shadow energy? 74a.) Is he in the Core for the Same reason Antroz, Chirox, and Vamprah are there: part of the master plan?
85.) For BSo1, do you think the Nuva's armour should have its own page, just because its one of artahka's inventions?
96.) Do the Turaga on Metru Nui know how the Nuva are doing? If not, do you plan to somehow make them aware in 08 on how the Nuva are doing? Possibly, Vakama's visions?
107.) Once the Bohrok go back to sleep, do they have any other purpose, or is there job done once the isalnd is cleaned?
118.) Any word on the new comic artist?
129.) About the large sets of 08, do you know just how high the prices are going to go?
13Thanks for taking the time to answer all of these, it really is a stretch for you to do all of this for us. We really appreciate it.

141) Any enclosed space that is large enough can have weather patterns, even in our world 151a) We really haven't released much in the way of pics of the core, so not sure what you're referring to. 162) Well, the sky has to be at least as big as the ground below it, right? 173) Not sure why this is hard to figure out -- if it makes a body for itself and flies out of the swamp, problem solved. 184) All winter Makuta sets have all their Makuta powers -- it's the summer sets that don't. 195) Why not? 206) Short of Vakama's visions, there is no way for them to know, and I don't plan to spend much time in the city in 2008. 217) Their purpose is to wait until they are needed again to do the same job. 228) Already been announced in my blog last night 239) No

1Some interesting stuff about light and dark sides in beings.

21. Do all non-Rahi BIONICLE beings have lights sides and dark sides? 31.a. If so, does the side they are more dominated by influence what powers they have?
42. You said it would be dangerous for a Toa or Turaga or Matoran to tap into their shadow sides. I'm guessing this is because they would have to force down their light sides and risk turning evil?

1Wonder if a Makuta's shadow can be drained

2I actually find this question quite intriguing. I do not know if it would be possible to drain the darkness within a Mukuta; my own thoughts are that doing so would leave an empty, powerless being (and may even destroy them entirely). My logic is that they probably wouldn't have any light, or very little light; thus, drained of their darkness, they would no longer exist.
3Kind of like how if you entirely removed either Yin or Yang from the universe, then the universe, even though full of chaos and strife, would still exist.
4But if you drained both, then nothing could exist. Or no life, anyway.
5Edited for spelling.

26Very nice info there. I think it's awesome that Greg introduced this light/dark aspect into Bionicle. I find the last answer most interesting. Maybe that is the explaination for the Av-Matoran being able to use powers that other Matoran cannot.
