1Ok, even you don't understand it, so maybe I wasn't that bad: "Leave it as it is written" was supposed to mean "Keep it for yourself and don't jump to conclusions", as Greg later told me, and I posted the info because I didn't understand the sentence because back in 2004, my English was still average at best and not good enough to get the meaning of the sentence.
2NtM

3Well I am a native speaker and I would have posted it...but we are getting off topic

4Wow, Mata Nui knew Teridax's destiny was to over throw him, and he never did something about it.
#5522
1Better yet, he gave Teridax that destiny. That is really weird. Well, we don't know that his destiny is to succeed, but still, I won't create a being with the sole purpose to bring about my downfall. That is suicidal. *feels somehow reminded of the PROXY-Starkiller-Relationship in The Force Unleashed*

1If I recall the Great Beings also gave out destinies and I'd say that's who Teridax got his from.

2I do believe Mata-Nui created the Makuta so therefore it was definetly him who gave them their destinies 3However I don't think he personally chooses 4Maybe its destined which beings get which destiny :P

#5525
1Mata Nui might have created the BoM but who knows, I do remember Greg saying something about Teridax's destiny being to overthrow Mata Nui because "That is what he did." I need to go walk my dog, so I can't go find the quote, but it should be about two pages back... anyway, who says that Teridax's destiny didn't change, who says that destinies can't change when major events happen...anyway, this should probably go into the Official BoM Topic, because I am sure there is one, but if there isn't, somebody PM a Forum administrator and make one, because we are getting off topic and need another official topic to babble in.
#5526
1Right....^ :P2Anyways here is some [interesting?] stuff from GregF about release dates for infomation
3Hey again 4Just another quick question
5Whenever you say I cannot discuss 2009 is this actually a company policy? 6Or is it just you trying to keep the story fresh for all the fans?
7Thanks 8~Shurt

9It is company policy, Shurtgal. Employees who knowingly leak information about upcoming releases without permission get fired. (That is particularly true when it comes to sets -- if an image of a set gets leaked this early, as unfortunately they do, other companies have time to make knock-offs and rush them out for the next year to compete with our sets. So LEGO Company takes this very seriously.)

10Ah okay, 11So how is the descision made when your allowed to tell us infomation 12Lets take when originally you only said that the 2009 story wouldn't take place in the Matoran Universe 13When was the descision made to also give out the infomation that it wouldn't be on the planet surface? 14Did you have to ask the company whether you could release that infomation or do you have some degree of leniency within future storyline?

15I basically know, from the story meetings and conference calls we have, what I can say and what I can't. While they are not BZP members, other members of the story team do visit the site, so if I went outside the baselines I would hear about it from them.

1VERY IMPORTANT INFO . . . .
2I have some good reasons why you should do the '09 MU serial in the summer instead of in the winter:
31. Because there no chapter books next winter, more story will have to go into the comics and web serials. So instead of only two serials, there are now three. Which equals more story being told.
42. With the movie next summer, a book about the movie, and movie story throughout all of the summer, it might be refreshing to have the MU serial then.
53. We need some time to miss the MU characters too. We would have that if the serial was in the summer.
6Thanks for taking the time to read this. :)

7True, but if I wait until summer, everyone will be screaming that they want to know what is happening in the MU. Plus, I doubt LEGO will want 2001-2008 content detracting from promotion of the movie characters.

8Shocking ending to 2008? Plans for Takanuva and Teridax beyond 2008? Us screaming to know what happens next? Lego not wanting that serial to detracting us from the movie story? Methinks Teridax's plan will succeed....

1WOW . Good find ~Sernakann~ . It seems that something very critical must happen by the end of 2008, if we are left cringing to know about the MU next year. Must be something really big. Something that connects to the 2008 ending, but not enough that they are associated together directly. Hmm...

11. While Takanuva was falling through interdimmensional space, was he coated in some sort of radiation, like Doctor Who with the void stuff? If no, and it's completely empty, how did he breath? Did he really hold his breath that long?
22. Have you started another chapter of the serials yet, or are you working on 2009/2010 stuff?
33. If one's concentration is broken while wearing a Kaukau underwater, would it stop working and they drown, or would it keep working?
44. Have you ever thought of putting how the actual set is like into the story? What I mean by this is Hahli's and Lesovikk's weak lime green parts, or was this already done when Lesovikk took a hit from the ice dagger?
55. Has the trader from Stelt fixed his roof yet?
66. Was Miserix still green on Stelt?

71) Why do you assume there is no air in interdimensional space? ID space is not the same as outer space, it's not a vacuum. 82) I just finished part 2 of DiD 93) It would stop working 104) Right, I am going to call attention to weak parts in a LEGO set in a story -- that would be smart of me. 115) No, it just got torn off. 42. Kaukau stinks as a mask
#5548
1That includes the 2009 story bible, yes. Also, I would advise you to keep in mind that we only have specified one previously known character being in 2009 story, which means it could be on another world provided Matoran space travel tech was not required to get said character there.

21) A lot of people wonder why you showed us this possibility - be it true or not. Some thought you wanted to spread misinformation to distract us from a real possibility, which would have made sense if someone would have come up with something close to the truth, which wasn't the case, but I think you either were feeling particularly generous or you wanted to give us something to discuss besides the leaked set info.
32) Has that mysterious known character ever been to the 2009 location before?
4Thanks in advance, 5NtM

61) What's your question? 72) I can't discuss this

81) As said, many people asked "Wow, why did he reveal that", including me (not that we'd complain :D). We were just wondering. :)

1IMPORTANT STUFF
2High Mr. F, hope your summer was good. I've got a rather tentative GB/Mata-Nui theory in the works, and I need a bit more information for me to finalize it. Trust me, all these questions (although they may seem random) relate to it.
31: If a Toa or Earth or Stone wanted to make a large platueau, what would you say the maximum diameter would be? 4ANSWER: Would depend on the individual willpower of the Toa involved.
52: Is MATA-NUI a Matoran word, or a word that the Great Beings gave the Matoran? 6ANSWER: I believe it's Matoran.
73: Is it possible that his makers refered to him as something else? 8ANSWER: I can't discuss this
94: Is the Matoran Universe important to the Great Beings (more important to them that other universes that they may [or may not] have made?) 10ANSWER: There is no proof they ever made any universes, and yes, it is important to them.
115: Can you expressly confirm (or deny) that Mata-Nui has the Matoran Universe on or in his person in any way? 12ANSWER: I cannot discuss the nature of Mata Nui at all, not allowed.
136: Would a normal Olmak transport Mata-Nui? 146a: Would whatever moves Destral do it? 15ANSWER: I would say no, only because Mata Nui is much larger than either one.
167: Is Mata-Nui in physical danger from other malevolant entities as large as he is? 177a: Entities from the Matoran Universe CAN survive outside of it, correct? 18ANSWER: There are no entities as large as he is. 197a) Yes, the Matoran did on the island of Mata Nui.
208: The Ignika Countdown is just an excuse for it to turn silver, it wasn't in the original plan, right? 21ANSWER: Correct, it was my explanation for why the mask was silver this year.
229: I've asked this every time, but I always hope for a strait answer: 23*Are the GBs more like Angles and Gods or Super-Advanced mortals. 24ANSWER: Sorry, I cannot discuss the Great Beings, but I would point out to you that we have no plans to introduce religion or religous concepts like angels into BIONICLE.
2510: What would Mata-Nui do if he wakes up to the Makuta? 26ANSWER: Probably either imprison or destroy them.
2711: Would Destral transport the Makuta outside of the MU? 28ANSWER: Not going to happen, so irrelevant
2912: If Mata-Nui dies, you've confirmed that heat and light would go *poof* 3012a: Ultimately, heat would leak back through the rocks, and light could come through the sunholes, could the Universe become habitable again? 31ANSWER: Correct, and no on 12A.
3213: Is Mata-Nui biomechanicle, organic or something else? 3313a: If it's something else, what is it? 34ANSWER: Can't discuss it
3514: You've said that BIONICLE is abandoing the polynesian style of naming, correct? 3614a: Judging by Vastus, which you've confirmed, am I right in saying is Anglo or Germanic? 37ANSWER: Correct, and no.
3815: There was organic life on Mata-Nui, (animal and plant) but you said that all life came from an EP spill, can EP create organic life, or did it come from somewhere else? 3915a: Can the GBs create organic life, or only biomechanicle? 4015b: If only biomechanicle, does that mean that EP doesn't come from them? 41ANSWERS: 15) The bird life did not come from the EP spill. 15a) They created Tren Krom, who is fully organic, and the krana, who are fully organic. 15b) Who said they created EP to start with?
4217: Are the Matoran the "chosen people" or Mata-Nui, or do they just happen to be an important race? 43ANSWER: The labors of the Matoran are tied to the health of the universe, so they are extremely important.

1We were talking about the fact that GregF said that there would be 1 old character in 2009. Nuhrii, that would make sense, but it would be cool if it was a more familiar character. Oh well, hopefully the planned 2009 serial will follow those guys.

1I feel really bad for you--you must get thousands of PMs a day, minimum, asking questions, and I'd usually hold off on yet another one; I have in the past, in fact, much as I have wanted to, but I would be really interested to know this...
2The term "Glatorian" is floating all over BZP, and as of yet, you have said nothing that would prove or disprove the term as part of 2009. Now, I do not ask you answer that, just that you consider a slight altering to that...something more like "Glatrian" rather than "Glatorian", which sounds awkward and a little too similar to "gladiator". Glatrian keeps the same general sound, but with more...flow to it.
3Just something to take into mind, if you're willing to. I understand we know very little to...okay, we know nothing about 2009, so if I'm messing with points that really can't be messed with, just tell me and I'll leave it be. :)

4Any terms for 2009 -- first half of the year or second -- have already been cleared by Legal and it's too late to change them. And I believe the term Glatrian has already been used in a TSR roleplaying game, so the name would now be owned by Hasbro

5What does this prove?
6A.) Glatorian, though Greg never says it directly, is going to be a 2009 term; a little bit more confirmation is always good.
7B.) It's too late to change it, as you can see, so no one else should bother Greg with '09 terms/suggestions, because it is TOOOOO LATE. 8~Javi

1Dear Mr. Farshtey, 2I have been going through the serials, and have come up with a few questions: 31)In DW, Ancient mentions Pohatu smashing a fortress, which was this, i dont recall hearing him doing so before 41b)If it had been mentioned before, where? 52)Also from DW, you say Vezon uses his 'Adult' Brain, does this imply he has multiple Brains or what? 63)From the same instince, even though he is insane, why would Vezon see that as a compliment? 74)In the very first part of DW, it says that Axon is still on Voya-Nui 84a) How is this possible if it's underwater 94b)is it safe to assume that all the Voy/Mahri-toran are there as well? 105)In BiA, When Gorast is in disguise, who is she supposed to be? 116)In DiD, Iruni is portrayed as being very 'Gung Ho' about their mission, but last i checked, he was saying he was going to quit first chance he got, what changed? 127)Would i be correct in stateing there is only one Kraahkan?

131) Happened in the Gali Nuva blog in 2007 142) No 153) Because insane people do not view the world the same way that sane people do 164) It's not underwater. Voya Nui went back through the hole in its dome and returned to the continent it came from. The hole sealed up behind it. So Voya Nui is not underwater. The water that had been coming in came down in a waterfall that went into Karda Nui and made the swamp 174b) Yes 185) No one I have named in story 196) He was planning to quit before they became Rahaga. Thousands of years have passed since then, people change 207) Yes, far as I know

21Just a couple things i was confused about
#5557
12)Also from DW, you say Vezon uses his 'Adult' Brain, does this imply he has multiple Brains or what?

2He said "addled", not "adult".

1To clear up the whole Book issue.
2Just one question:
31) I hear there are no books in 2009. Is this true?
4I read your blog, but I didn't think this counted as that, though I'm not sure.
5Thanks.

6No, it's not true. There are two novels scheduled for 2009 and three of the Level 3 readers aimed at younger kids.

71)Is one in winter, one in summer, or are they both in summer? We had some confusion in the OGD.
8Thanks .

9I think it's one in spring, one in fall. There is no book in winter

10There you go... there isn't just one in summer... one in spring, and one in summer.

1Personally, I am getting tired of reading through so many questions chipping away at bits and portions of 2009, and if anyone does get close, they'll end up running into the brick wall of a "can't answer it". Seriously, let's leave next year for next year, and focus on what's happening now. I'm sure GregF, and a lot of other members like me would greatly appreciate it if we lay aside our curiosity for next year, and ask questions that are relevant to current story.
