1That would stink if there were no more books. Then Greg would only be writing the comics and there would be less story.

1I thought Greg was trying to be sneaky :P:
2Hiya, Greg. Just one question for you at the moment after looking at a someone's conversation with you:
3Hello again Greg. Hope you're doing well.
4Just some question.
51)Are you planning to name Botar's replacement and the four-armed giant?
62)Will Trinuma's mask power be revealed? 72a)Helryx?
83)Is Teridax 'place of death' is a place we know of or a place we haven't seen yet?
9Those are my questions for now.

101, 2, 2a) If it becomes relevant to story, yes 113) No, you have not seen it in past story

12Now, I know we haven't seen this place before, (you've that pretty clear), but the way you put it in context, you say that we have never seen the place, not necessarily that we've never heard about it. So my question is:
131) Have we ever heard anything about this "place of death" besides the fact that it's where Teridax is/going to?
14Thank you for your time . =D

15Nope

1Heya Greg. I just wanted to ask some questions, hope you can answer.
21) If a Toa that wore a mask of intangibility swallowed something, or something was in their body for some reason(It doesn't matter what, but its not microscopic) when they turned intangible, would it fall out or become intangible with them?
32)Where are you moving too?
43)Who is your favorite superhero?
54) Who is your favorite Supervillian?
65)What is you favorite all-around comic series?
7Thank You .

81) If you are intangible, you would not be able to pick it up to swallow it to start with. 92) Elsewhere in CT 103) Batman 114) Probably too many to list 125) Avengers

13Yeah, well, I was just curios. Most of it has nothing todo with the Bionicle storyline.

14I thought Greg said that Bionicle's don't swallow. That's why they absorb the enegry out of food for nourishment...

1Just 1 Q right now.
2Okay, we know that Jovan was a Toa around the time of Lesovikk, and that Jovan knew about the Barraki as stated by Sarda. So what I'm wondering is how does Jovan know about the Barraki if all records on them were destroyed? The only reason I could think of is that he was in the Toa army that stopped them, so is it?

3Also, did Jovan meet Lesovikk in the Toa army that stopped the Barraki?

4Thank you for your time .

5Simple --
61) Jovan was around at the time of Lesovikk 72) Lesovikk was part of the first Toa team 83) The first Toa team was active more than 80,000 years ago 94) The Barraki were stopped 80,000 years ago 105) Therefore, anyone around more than 80,000 years ago would know of the Barraki.
11And no, Jovan did not meet Lesovikk there or have anything to do with that army. Neither did Lesovikk, as his team was already dead at that point.
12Just a quick mask making question.

13I noticed couple of things, first is that Toa stones are made by charging a stone with Toa Power, second is that the Avohki is charged with Toa power, third is that things can be charged with elemental powers, and fourth and finally is that masks run out of power.

14So what I'm wondering is are masks that aren't made of Kanoka disks made by making a powerless mask and charging it with a large amount of power that eventually run out?

15No, because you can't do that. If you could, then Matoran masks could all be given power and you wouldn't need to make Great Masks or Noble Masks. Masks not made from Kanoka disks are made from purified liquid protodermis without the disk phase in between.

16Quick Q,

17Since the Toa Nuva can set time blasts of power, would the be able to make something with their elemental go on idefinately?
18Ex: Their is a cave that is filled with ice, and Tahu needs to melt it, but also has another mission to do, so would he make the cave heat up and leave and go on his mission, but still have the cave be heated with it sapping a little bit of his fire power while he's on his mission.

19Why not just shoot a bolt of fire and melt it? There's no need to do it over time, he can do it in two seconds.

20Since great masks and noble masks run out of power it would make since to have mask recharging stations in places like Metru Nui, so are their?

21You cannot recharge a mask that runs out of power.
22To help you with the serial/sugestion epidemic I got an idea. Why don't you use one sugestion per serial episode?

23Right, then I would get bombarded by people who all wanted to be the one chosen. No thanks.
24Why do only Krika and Antroz have venemous fangs if all the other Makuta of Karda Nui (Minus Icarax) have teeth? Or do they all have poisonous fangs?

25The others chose not to have them
#5725
1I think it was just a "in theory" thing, not that they can really do it.
#5726
11. Which Makuta were involved with the latest battle in Takanuva'sa Blog?
22. Why was Kongu given problamatic masks in the story?
33. Will the next BiA be in the past or present time?
44. Will the Toa Nuva's/Makuta's actions affect BiA in any way?

51) All the Makuta are in the swamp by this point in the story 62) Because it makes him a more interesting character to write about 73) I'll know when I write it 84) Not directly, no

9Just one question for now.
10Are there any tenth aniversery plans for Bionicle?

11Not at this time, no. We are just starting to talk about 2010 on the marketing end

#5727
1Hi Greg, recently I've had a few things that have been bothering me: 21. What is the difference between the Makuta's chain lightning and electricity powers?
32. Does a Makuta need to be inside its armor to make kraata?
43. Would the other T vehicles let a blinded Makuta see? 53b. Other species?
64. What does the order plan to do with Miserix if they win?
75. Would a Makuta choose to wear a mask that Toa don't find immoral?
86. Do the Vortixx have access to the Zyglak's organic proto eating disease?
9Thanks in advance .

101) Look up chain lightning -- it's a very specific kind of electrical event 112) Yes 123) Yes 133b) Yes 144) That's a big "if" 155) If the Makuta could get a use out of it, sure 166) No

17Does anyone know what he means about the chain lightning?
18S.S.

#5729
1Chain lightning is a natural event, lightning bolts 'fork' and jump to multiple targets (usually clouds).
2Answer #4 probably means "can't answer this" worded differently. After all we don't know how the war goes
#5730
1Would this help with Chain Lightning?
#5731
1Answer #4 probably means "can't answer this" worded differently. After all we don't know how the war goes

2Maybe it does mean that, but also, it takes six Toa to attack Teridax, who always underestimates them....and we all know Teridax isn't the most skilled of the Brotherhood, and yes, the seven best Makuta are in Karda Nui, but there are still X number of Makuta still out there, and so it is possible that the BoM creams them into powder. Or it is possible that with the Dark Hunters help, the OoMN have a fighting chance. But honestly, the BoM has the advantage, so he was just stating a fact, that it is one huge "if"
#5732
11. Since Helryx is getting all sorts of different characters to fight in the war, did she consider using the Bohrok? Or would this just not work?
2I think it would just be too time-consuming to wake them all up, remove all their krana, and reprogram all of them. Plus hard to do that and not have the Makuta notice.
3Oh well, it would have been really cool for the Bohrok to just swarm Destral. :P

2So? He said IF. In 2007 he said to me in an answer to one of my questions "IF Mata Nui gets revived."
3Mata Nui got revived. As we all know.
4So IF doesn't necessarily mean that the OoMN is going to loose.
5They might.
6They might not.

1Here's a few PM's which shot between me and Greg. 2Re: Bohrok Kal, Krana, Morals and Vacuum powers.

31) The Bohrok-Kal had been gifted the 'powers' of Magnetism, Gravity, Plasma etc. Would i be correct in assuming that their level of control over those areas would be equal to say, a wearer of an Elemental mask such as the Garai? Or would it be less/more?
42) Also, a Toa of one of those Elements, would have greater power over the element than an Elemental mask wearer/ Bohrok Kal?
53) As a Toa of Plasma Controls the Elemental Energy of Plasma, could they not render the powers of a Pahrak-Kal void if had have competed?
64) In the same train of thought, If a Makuta out of ignorance used their power over Electricity to launch a Lightning bolt at an Toa of Lightning. Could the Toa take control of the Lighting / Electricity and turn it against the Makuta as they control over the Elemental energy of Lightning whilst the Makuta only harnesses the 'power'? Or would the Makuta have the greater willpower and prevail nonetheless?
75) I believe quite a while ago you've cited that Vacuum will remain a power as opposed to an element as a Toa of Air can Control Vacuum to a Degree. I'm now assuming that a toa of air would then have the ability to manipulate others Vacuum attacks using their control over Air Elemental Energy in a similar way mentioned in Q4. Is this Correct?
85b) The following are uses for the Power of Vacuum taken from BS01, would i be correct in assuming that a Toa of Air would be able to do all of these? 9* Creating suction force. 10* Controlling the air in an area to create a vacuum. 11* Absorbing all the air in an area to create a vacuum. 12* Sending the absorbed air back at a target in a single blast. 136) If answers to 4 and 5 are Correct, why did Lewa not use his Elemental control over Vacuum to Nullify Lehvak Kal's attacks?
147) The Bohrok Kal were especially unique from the Bohrok in the fact they had Personalities. Would the personalities of the Bohrok Kal been influenced at all by the Av-Matoran they once were long ago?
158) If yes to earlier questions, Would a Toa of Lightning be able to use their control of Electric Elemental Energy to remove the self-induced and powered electrical field around Tahnok-Kal.
169) Would the Bahrag set about creating another set of Kal now that they are free, incase of reimprisonment?
1710) Finally a question on morals. The Turaga have supposedly imprisoned the Krana-Kal, who they now know were actually serving the will of Mata-nui. And as they are sentient beings, is it not cruel to keep them imprisioned? Especially when the other Bohrok were freed and leveled Mata-nui?

181) Yes, that would be about right 192) More likely a great deal more experience using the element, thus more control 203) Sorry, I don't have the spare time for hypotheticals 214) I would give the edge to the being with greater willpower, but keep in mind that a Toa has some resistance to their own element, so it's doubtful the bolt would harm the Toa that much. 225) A Toa of Air could probably blunt or redirect the blast of a being with vacuum power, or try to use his power to fill a vacuum area with air, although that would be a struggle. 235b) Yes 246) It has been years since I read the Kal storyline -- how often was Lewa shown fighting Lehvak Kal? 257) No. Their personalities came from their krana. Bohrok and Bohrok-Kal themselves are not sapient, their krana are. 268) See answer to #3 -- since no Toa of Lightning has or ever will encounter a Kal, this really falls under the realm of hypothetical. 279) Yes 2810) Do the Turaga know that? The Nuva freed the Bahrag because the scroll told them they were supposed to, and even then, they doubted the wisdom of it. How would the Turaga know the krana-kal were serving the will of Mata Nui? They have not even spoken to the Toa Nuva since the Nuva left for Voya Nui. 29Now let me ask one back along these lines -- Joe drives a street-sweeper. Every night, he goes out and uses his big vehicle to clean off the main street. But today, he got his time crossed up and drove it down the street in the middle of parade, injuring many people. Should Joe not be imprisoned because he was doing what he was supposed to -- clean the street -- just doing it at the wrong time? Because that is the Bohrok and Bohrok-Kal situation.

304) Curious, Would the Toa of Lightning be able to Absorb the attack the same way Vakama was able to absorb heat to combat the fire entity in BA:7 ? Also are toa of other elements such as Iron and Plant life able to absorb energy in the form of their element from their surroundings too?
315) So the Relationship between Air and Vacuum is somewhat Simliar to Ice/Fire, with Fire toa able to absorb heat to Freeze something and the ice toa being able to Absorb Ice energy to Heat something. 32An Air toa can absorb Air to create a Vacuum?
335a ii) And a Makuta using Vacuum Abilities /34imaginary "Toa of Vacuum"35could Absorb Vacuum to create and Air attack??
366 Just went back and skimmed over the Kal Storyline again, i coulda sworn they had a One v One dual at one point, but the only time i managed to find them paired up was when they formed the Kaita's and by then he had lost his Elemental Powers. My apologies.
377) So the Bohrok Kal's Personalities would have changed every time they changed their Krana-Kal? or i'm guessing the Set of Krana Kal they each use have similar Personality traits.?
389) As the Bohrok's Mission is complete its almost certain were ever gonna see these guys right?
3910) Ah, you really did get me there. 40My first response is that Joe should know better as he's part of the community and knows whats expected and would know not clean if there were people there... Though using it on the perspective of the Bohrok it really does bring in a moral dilemma. The Bohrok are acting on behalf of what they believe is the most important thing. But are they guilty if they honestly believe and know what they are doing is what is needed in order to save the universe by awakening Mata-Nui? Wait.
4111) Are the Krana themselves aware of their actions being necessary to saving the universe? If so, then maybe their actions are explainable. As the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. If not. then yeah, i understand the dilemma. 42They couldn't have known better than to destroy, though that doesn't change what they did at the wrong time.

434) Yes, and yes, they can absorb their elements 445) Bingo 455a) Yes 467) Yes, for the sake of consistency, they did 479) Keep in mind we are not in the Matoran universe next year -- we are someplace Bohrok do not exist. 4811) This is what the krana know: when the signal comes, they are to clean off the island of Mata Nui. Neither they nor the Bahrag are responsible for sending said signal, only acting on it. That is their reason for existing. If there are living beings on Mata Nui at the time, their programming is to leave them be unless they try to interfere with the mission. So the only crime they could be accused of commiting would be harming Toa or Matoran who got in their way -- destroying mountains, rivers, villages was what they were supposed to be doing. And the fact that the signal was sent early was not their responsibility.

494) As a Vacuum is the lack of matter, could not a Toa of Earth Create a Vacuum by Absorbing all the earth in an underground passage? Or the Same with a Toa of Water underwater? 504a)If so technically don't all Toa Create Temporary Vacuums whilst absobing elements then? Even if they only exist for a short time before air fills it? 517) Can the Krana-kal belonging to each shell communicate with each other telepathically to tell them of past encounters and What's going on. Otherwise wouldn't the Krana-kal suddenly have no idea what's going on once they change? Or does the Shell have some sort of Residual memory storage inbuilt? 527a) The Krana Za Kal has the ability to communicate telepathically, Does this allow for two way conversation, or must both be wearing the Za?
539) And we're nowhere near the Lairs so highly unlikely for a Cameo of the new guys :P549b) Just a thought, could and would the OoMN Recruit and Reprogram the Swarms to fight for them in the Destiny war? As they have served their purpose, it just seems kinda pointless to leave them sitting around forever.
5511) When the Tahnok Attacked Po-Koro, Hafu felled some Statues to prevent them from entering the village. They then surrounded him and it seemed as if they were going to attack him. Was this to prevent him from causing any more Trouble? Also, since they were leveling the whole place wouldn't they have had to destroy the statues anyway?
5612) Do you have any plans to introduce one last element before we leave the Matoran Universe? 57It's just there's currently 15... and two Legendary Elements. Would be great to have an even number to round it off =D

584) No, because remove the earth and the water and you still have air. To be a vacuum, in the context that we use the term, you have to have no air. 597) I don't understand your question. What change are you referring to? 607a) It does allow for two-way conversation, because it can read the minds of the krana it communicates to. 619b) I don't think so. Awakening the Bohrok and removing all their krana and reprogramming all of them would be a massive undertaking. 6211) I had nothing to do with the online animations, so what the motivations of the characters were in them is not something I can speak to. 6312) Not at the moment, I don't, no

647) The Changing between Krana-Kal in one of the shells. 6513) Is Lehvak-Kal and the Swarm of Tahnok formerly led by Tahu Nuva still in Orbit?

667) I see what you're saying. My guess there is some rudimentary awareness stored in the primitive AI of the Bohrok itself. 6713) Yes

68Hopefully some of you find this as interesting as i did.

1Hi. Just two questions:
21. Can you see the Red Star from the 2009 location?
32. If Zaktan escaped from his globe, couldn't he turn into a thin layer of protodites and sort of slither around the deck without suffocating? A ship almost always has a bit of water on the deck, so it seems possible.
4Also, a little while back I replied to you in two different PMs. Could you have a look at them?

51) Yes 62) If he's on a ship, yeah, maybe, but he's not going to be on a ship for this journey. The ships are staying in Xia.

5If MN was the MU, wouldn't the inhabitants feel his movements? He would have to have a gravitational pull in his own body to be a universe, etc. Just doesn't fit, to me.

Is Takanuva fond of his Shadow powers, seeing he has used them, or does he hate them as much as the Makuta? 39ANSWER: No, he is not fond of them 4014. Is Mata Nui Teridax's brother as in Toa/Makuta brother or is that just the way the legend goes? 41ANSWER: In the same way all firefighters are brothers or all police are brothers 4215. Any chance of another Takutanuva? 43ANSWER: No 4416. Will the number of web serials still be three in '09? 45ANSWER: No idea 46b. 1I have tried to send this to Greg, but his PM inbox is currently full, so I'll have to wait a while :). 2Hi . Sorry to be wasting your time, but I have a few questions: 31) Are there any Bohrok with elemental powers other than the most common six? 42a) Does anyone in Karda Nui know that the Klakk's power screams can cure shadow Matoran? 52b) Would a Makuta's or a Rhakshi's power scream have the same effect?

1Is Krakua a Toa in The Kingdom?
2Thanks in advance Greg. :)

1Hello, got a couple of questions.
21. BS01 stated that Turaga Onewa was involved in the Toa Nuva being able to shield their minds, is this true? 32. Who defeated the Kanohi Dragon the first time? A Toa team? 43. Since BL11's end will lead directly to 2009, will we see a glimpse of 2009 or maybe 2009 characters in it (like Vamprah in the end of Downfall)?

51) When? 62) Yes 73) No. 2009 does not take place in the Matoran universe, 2008 does, so the 2009 location will not appear in 2008 comics or books.

81.
9Onewa was mentioned to have trained the Toa Nuva on shielding their minds.

10That is what stood in Onewa's entry on BS01, or is it incorrect? 113. Then how does it "lead directly to 2009"? 124. Is the four-armed OoMN member in DiD one of Nocturn's species? 135. How come the form that Gorast used in BiA look like Helryx? 146. Why did Helryx send both Miserix and the Toa Hagah to track down Teridax?

151) That tells me nothing, because there is no context. When are they saying that he did that? What is their source? It may well be accurate, but I don't recall it, and without knowing what they are referring to, I can't confirm it. 163) Because the story picks up from where 2008 leaves off, simply in a different location. 174) No 185) I don't see how it does. Both are blue armored, that's all. One is carrying a mace with a shaft, one is carrying a chain mace, which are very different weapons. 196) Miserix is not really looking for Teridax. Miserix is making sure everyone, including the BOM, knows he's back by attacking high-profile targets, as a way of shaking the BOM up.

1Another quick one.
2About when did Lesovikk's team die?

3I'd have to check my timeline, which right now is still packed in a box somewhere

4Oh well, I guess Greg's still unpacking or something.

1I believe it was said by Takanuva at the beginning of SitS (second page, I believe), when Takanuva discovers that Dweller is intruding in his mind. But I don't think it was said he also trained the Toa Nuva... maybe it was said somewhere else, I don't know.

1Just got this back from Greg:
2Hey, Greg, first of all I just want to thank you for your patience on the subject of the leaked pictures. I, for 3one, know how frustrating it is working with stubborn kids (:P), and your patience is impressive. 4With that said, I have two questions regarding the T vehicles that I've been wondering about for a little while:
51.) Will we ever find out what the numbers after each of the T vehicles' names mean? 62 a.) In Legends 10 it is stated that the Toa find several 'machines' in the open part of the Codrex. This is referring to the T vehicles, yes? 72 b.)If so, why did it say 'several'? Are there more than three, or am I just thinking too much? ^_^
8Once again, thank you for your patience on this site, and good luck dealing with the massive amount of PMs you must be receiving. :)

91) The different T designations refer to the engine power 102a) No, they did not find the vehicles when they were first in the Codrex. It was not referring to the vehicles, to other machinery.

11If the vehicles aren't the machinery, then what is the machinery? O_o 12[/mysterious]

1Greg was fast today:
2Hello sir, I have a few quick questions if you had time.
31. I remember reading, maybe in the Atlas, that during Mask of Life's 07 arc that Xia was preparing new weapons or something because the Leauge of Six Kingdoms may be rising again soon, or something like that. I'll try to get a quote from BS01 if I can find one, but, how did they know? It's not like the Barraki could go up and give them information that they may rise again...
42. I have some questions on Adaptive Armor for a new epic I'm working on. First, can a wearer eventually gain full control over it, like, I'll use Lewa as an example from the epic. He creates a kingdom of air from destroying Xia, using the factories to produce air, etc. Would it be possible for him to, say, take a differnent form for that skyline than Karda-Nui? Like my MOC he's winged, avian (clawed hands and feet), etc. Is that amount of control over AA possible?
53. An example from Onua, he loses his right arm at one point and from his first appearance onward in the epic his right arm is fully mechanical, mounted with a drill, blaster...but anyway, say his right arm got chopped off in battle while he was using AA, would the remaining armor still extend to where it was cut off, or would it stop adapting prior to that point? Like is there a circuit that couldn't be completed or something?
64. Is it possible to sprout new "limbs" with AA? Like Gali is my example, for her aquatic form I figured she'd be sort of Nuvaish for her armor, streamlined, etc., but the point is, she has a tail. Now, if that would help in a water environment, like help steering, would it be possible for AA to create that? I'm sure if it did, it would be pure armor, but still, is it possible?
7non BIONICLE
85. Did you see Journey's End? I know you said you didn't see Stolen Earth, so I was wondering about Journey's End.
9Thank you sir.

101) Word travels fast 112) No 123) Stop adapting 134) Don't think so 145) Yes, saw both. Liked Stolen Earth, less impressed with the last episode

151. Word from where? It's not like sea creatures can talk, or can some? But how would a message get out of the ocean to Xia? Message in a bottle type system?
163. So it would completely stop, his AA would be useless?
174. Ok, but what if say it was used in conjunction with the blaster or melee weapon? Like the best use for the situation was to make it a tail or something?
185. Did you see it on Sci Fi? If so I'm assuming this wasn't shown, but for the Christmas special, on BBCs version, including what I saw on the internet for BBC's version, a Christmas trailer is shown, it features
19the Cybus Cybermen in Victorian England.

201) This is a "trust me, it did" situation. 213) Let me clarify -- any armor he still had would continue to adapt. 224) I don't see it, no 235) Yes, I did see it on Sci-Fi, and I don't recall if they did the Christmas trailer or not

13I suspect it's the energy generator of Karda-Nui.

1Some VERY interesting things from a certain Mr. Farshtey:
21. Teridax told Icarax to send a shadow leech on Ahkmou because Teridax still believed that Ahkmou was going to turn into a Toa, right? 31a. Does Teridax have Ahkmou turning into a Toa of Shadow worked into the Plan?
42. I thought you said that Miserix had no assigned region, but you recently told a member that he was the Makuta of Destral. Is this true?
53. If Miserix takes off his Kanohi, would it go back to its original size and shape?
64. Is Botar's replacement a full OOMN member or is he just a servant?
75. How does Botar's species teleport? Do they need an image of a location to know where to teleport?
86. Does Teridax have Icarax going to Karda Nui worked into the Plan?
97. What did Icarax do with his old mask?
108. How do you pronounce Velika? 118a. Lessovikk?
129. How do you imagine Miserix's voice? 139a. Icarax's?
1410. Is Pahrak-Kal destroyed yet? I mean, a Bohrok-Kal can't withstand the heat of the planet core, right?
15Thanks again Greg, I really appreciate it. :)

161) Hard to say -- it would also have benefited Teridax to have a shadow Matoran loose in Metru Nui 171a) Not as a key component, no. 182) That's not really an assigned region, that's home base. 193) Yes 204) Full member 215) Apparently, they do not 226) It wasn't an unexpected development 237) No doubt it is in the fortress on Destral somewhere 248) Veh-lee-kah, Less-oh-vick 259 ) I don't 2610) I would think one way or the other, he is toast, yes

27(Response to #6) Gotta love how answers his questions. :D And the Pahrak-Kal is toast? :superfunny:
