1True. ntm definitely deserves more credit than he gets. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't of been the first person to figure out Teridax's plan.

1Can someone ask Greg the following questions? He won't reply to my PMs.
2Related to Bara Magna/Current Story: 31. Are the designs on the Skrall shields somehow related to the Valley of the Maze? 41a. If so, then why haven't the Skrall found Angonce yet? Or they didn't want to? 52. Will Angonce appear in the next year storyline? 63. Do other Great Beings appear in the story?
7Related to the Stars/MU/Post-TLR: 81. How can the Ignika change Tahu into his Mata form from a far distance? Or does that happen in close proximity? 91a. Does Takanuva receive the same treatment? 102. If Rahkshi were always sided with the BoM, then why did one come with the Stars? 113. So the gold armor isn't just a promo, but actually enhances a person's armor? 123a. If so, does he empower Mata Nui's new robot form? 134. Does Teridax try to stop the Stars from escaping? If so, then does he fail? 145. What will happen to the Ignika after MN adopts the new robot form? 156. What will become of the Skrall? Will they convert to good after orders from Tuma after seeing Teridax's body? Or do they join with Teridax? 167. Will Tuma die? 178. What will happen to the Glatorian and Agori? Will they venture into MN's former body and overthrow Teridax?
18Thanks to anyone who asks these questions and gets an answer, then posts it.

1The server might be eating your pms, or he might just not be answering.
2Cool name btw.

1So should I PM him one more time? Or will that possibly pester him, if he does get the PMs?
#8925
1I would wait a day or 2, then resend. But that is just me. 2his resonses vary in time. One time I got a reply from a 2 month old message, and one time he responded in 12 seconds. I'm not kidding, 12 seconds.
#8926
1Anyways...

23. You mentioned sometime back in May 2009 that you would give an English copy of The Crossing to save the Polish and German BZP translators some time. And sometimes translations can be hazy. Is it still possible to do that, and if so, would you be willing to give us a copy of all 6 chapters so that The Crossing information is 100% correct?

33) I can't, I don't have authorization from AMEET to do that. Reprinting the book electronically in any form violates their copyright, so I can't provide info to help do that.

43. Will AMEET be publishing The Crossing in the US then?

51) I will keep it as an option in the event I need to name the city. Right now, I don't have plans to name it, for reasons that those who have the Mata Nui Guide to Bara Magna can probably already guess. 63) No idea. But the point is moot -- they still own the rights to the story, they paid for it. I can't hand it out for publication somewhere anymore than, say, Scholastic could just decide to publish it without an agreement with AMEET.
#8927
1How long is the crossing? The translators had already translated alot of stuff up to the point I had read (but not I can't find the topic.)

201. the shields are a map of the VotM. 211a. It is very dangerous and there are probably many battera. They are too afraid. 222. Unknown. 233. same as above
241. Probably long distance. It just needs to reach the Tahu with it's power which isn't hard. 251a. No 262. Most likely chasing the stars. 273. more or less we don't know it's function 284. we don't know 295. Hasn't been confirmed (I'm not even sure if that happens, if you know post a response.) 306. 4Tilius, that's just mean. Seriously.

5I think we can pretty much guarantee it's Nektann. The "it's someone you know" clue is yet another example of what I call the 'Raid on Vulcanus effect'--a clue is given that limits the possibilities so extremely it becomes not a clue but an answer. This effect is, of course, based on the revelation that the traitor is an Agori in RoV, which narrowed it down to Berix and Metus and from there it became more and more blaringly obvious.
6Shame though. If we got a new Skakdi as a set, I'd have preferred it not to look practically identical to another that we've seen. *sigh* And at least they could've copied Thok. Thok is amazing.
#8939
1i always imagined Nextann as more towards the Reidak Side but totaly black....with claws....
#8940
1I actually thought of him as more of a cross between Zaktann and Vezok. The Piraka were awesome.
2back on topic now.

11. In a somewhat recent PM you stated that Plant Life Matoran/Toa/Turaga might not be running around in Green armor. Now, as of the last time I checked, BS01 says that Matoran/Toa/Turaga of Plant Life have Green and Blue as their colors, is that true?
21b. If that is not their colors can you say what colors they do wear are?
32. Can you say if the Rahkshi in the new Stars sets is a Rahkshi that's been seen in the storyline before? Or is this one a new character?
4Thanks for your time Greg .

51) Right, green and blue, but not pure green like Lewa is. 62) It's a heat vision Rahkshi, mentioned in the BIONICLE Encyclopedia. Yellow-armored Rahkshi are listed there as having heat vision.

7So just a confirmation that Plant Life users use Green and Blue.
#8946
1That is enough.
2I've heard a great deal about you, Official Greg Discussion. You stole your father's armour, ran away from home, impersonated a soldier, deceived your commanding officer, dishonoured the Chinese Army, destroyed my palace, and...
3You've been doing a lot of off topic discussion too. That being the case, I'm going to shut this down for a little while, firstly to let you guys cool down and secondly to give me time talk to the other S&T staff about what to do.
4So, enjoy your mandatory vacation. :)

5EDIT: Okay, time to open 'er back up again. Apparently there's some sort of fix on the way, but until then, mind your manners and stay on topic.
#8947
1Yay topic open again. Now everyone behave.
21. Tuyet mentioned that when Lhikan destroyed the Toa Stone, fragments of the crystal were embedded in her armor and body, essentially granting her access to the stored power without having to keep a grip on anything. Were the abilities of the Nui Stone at all reduced or changed in this state, or did Tuyet have full access to just as much power as she would have had with the intact stone in her hand? 31) Not changed
42. The Order of Mata Nui whisked Tuyet away to experiment on the Nui Stone; Tuyet later said that "for 1500 years, the Order tried to pry the secret of the Stone out of her, with no success." Does that mean that their studies of the stone were unsuccessful? Or were they unable to retrieve the shards from her armor in the first place? 52) Studies were unsuccessful
63. When she met with the Matoran in the Archives, Tuyet pulled out a crystal implied to be an intact Nui Stone. Was it one the Order managed to repair from the shards she had? Or different one entirely? 73) The former
84. Tying the two questions together, depending on your answers, is it possible Tuyet has both a complete Nui Stone along with shards of her old one? 94) Only one
105a. Does the Nui Stone have an upper limit to how much power it can absorb? Or can it simply keep taking it in as long as it has viable sources? 115a) I think it probably does have an upper limit, but no one knows what it is 125b. Same question but with how much of that power it can grant to a user. 135b) Definitely has to have a limit.
146. Is there something special about Toa Tools, something that makes them different from ordinary Matoran tools? Say, something that allows them to channel elemental energies without being destroyed? Is it possible they somehow become different when a Toa uses them? 156) Not that I know of
167. Does the mega-city have a name of its own or is it just called 'the city'? 177) Hasn't been named at this point, and I doubt it will be
188. Is there anything special about the Hot Springs, the location where Kiina and Berix were captured by the Bone Hunters? Did the people of Tesara use it for anything? 198) Water
209. There are quite a few detail-less arena fights that we know took place on Bara Magna. I would rather avoid having to ask you about every one individually, so if we see a fight mentioned with no details as to what it was about, can we assume it was over resources and say so on BS01? 219) Yes
2210a. Were there only the eight or nine (see question below) tribes on Bara Magna, or were there more that died out/we haven't seen? 2310a) Fire, Ice, Air, Water, Sand, Rock, Plague ... those are the only knows I know definitely existed 2410b. Do the female Skrall count as part of the Skrall tribe or are they far enough removed that they count as their own? 2510b) They are not considered a separate tribe, no. The tribes are broken up by element, not gender or other considerations
2611. When will we find out about the status of the Great Beings? 2711) No idea. I asked to show a Great Being in one of the graphic novels and got told no, Denmark does not want them revealed yet. So that is still a bit of a taboo subject, at least for now.

28There's my stuff. Nothing new really, mostly clarification on the Nui Stone.

1Yay. And to be fair, Most of the last few post have been saying to get back on topic. 2Anyway, I got this a while ago, and I forgot to post it I think.
3hiya Greg, i only have two questions this time, what a releif huh? now you only have 100 something more questions to go.
41.in the crossing Tarduk mentions Scorpions-Giants in the caves. are these the giant scorpions in the background of the Skrall canisters or the skopio ones?
52. in the crossing they encounter dune snakes. are these the ones/related to the ones from which Vastus extracts the venom from and models his amour after?
6thanks a ton, 7Redge the Bat.

81) You're going to have to give me the actual line from the story -- in a lot of cases, the translations are messed up and don't match what I originally wrote. 92) No

10thank a ton. here is the line
11"-Scorpion-giants are worse - declared Tarduk, feeling a chill on his spine. -I ran into them a few times in the past, back when I was looking for artifacts in caves."

12Do you know what chapter that is from?

13I really need to reply, but I still can't find the crossing, as the link provided for me didn't work for some reason.
#8949
1Hey GregF, just six questions. 21. I have read in the OGD that there might be plans for a serial based on Telluris and Sahmad? Is this true? 32. You mentioned to someone about some background info on the Bota Magna Agori. Is it canon that they are part organic, part mechanical, and part plant? 43. Is the seventh Element Lord (plague tribe EL) alive? 54. Can you confirm the existence of a seventh EL, at least? 65. Is Stronius still alive? If so, is he one of the Skrall leading a part of the Rock Tribe? 76. While we're on the subject of his weapons though, I was wondering if you'd do us a favor. Trinuma's weapons allow him to fly; however, this isn't much use in combat. So we were thinking that his weapons could emit kinetic force to help him fly, and he would shoot blasts of it in combat, sort of like Iron Man. Would you be okay with canonizing that? 8Anyways, thank you for your time.

91) Nope. Telluris has never come up, and I have been asked about Sahmad but have not committed to doing it. 102) Not until it appears somewhere in story, no. That was something we were chatting about doing, but right now it is up in the air if we do it or not. 113) No, there is no reason to believe they had an EL. 124) No, I can't 135) Yes and yes 146) Yes, that can be considered canon.

156. Master of the Rahkshi came up with the idea; props to him. :)
#8950
1So Greg has no plans to give us any story on the plague tribe, apparently... they were such large sets; I really think they should have more storyline info. 2Maybe I'll ask about that... :P
#8951
1I recall this qoute "Maybe one on Perditus and Sahmad"
2Notice the word maybe.
#8952
1Hi, Greg . I have only one question:
21. Is the reason that Tahu got devolved by the Ignika having to do with the Nuva symbols? Maybe he can't access his Nuva symbol when he's out of the MU? Or maybe Teridax destroyed the Nuva symbols?

3No, it has nothing to do with Nuva symbols at all.

4Then is it just a curse that the Ignika placed on Tahu?

5No. To be cursed, Tahu would have to be in possession of the Ignika when he is not meant to be. That does not happen in story.
#8953
1Hi Greg, Just a short one this time
21.Would it be reasonable to assume that the plague tribe's element was one of the elements in the mu that we didn't see much of, such as plasma or magnetism?
32. If BIONICLES stop selling, and LEGO drops the line, do you think you would continue the story somewhere, such as on bzpower?
43. Has LEGO and tinsel toons started on a 5th movie, or not?
5Thats all. I hope you aren't to busy. 6-Redge the Bat.

71) I haven't decided on an element for them, but I think it's going to have to be something that isn't that esoteric. 82) That would be largely up to whether I had the free time or not, and whether Legal would allow me to do so on here. 93) Any info on movie plans is going to have to come from LEGO PR or Tinseltown Toons. I don't have anything to announce.

10Nothing really interesting, other than the knowledge that we might get an element on the plague tribe.

1i am really sorry about bombarding you with so many questions, but a friend of mine keeps asking me to ask you them. 21.do the battera have a true psychical form? or do the just shape-shift over and over?

31) Like any shapeshifter, they have to have a base form, and it will be shown in BIONICLE Graphic Novel #8 next year, published by Papercutz

1Hi Greg, I have some questions: 21.- In the chapter 2 of "The Crossing" appear a bird, whose name is not possible to translate into English. Could you tell me what is the name of that bird? 32.- Did Gresh has the ability to see premonitions of the future as Vakama? 43.- You have said that "Empire of the Skrall" would end with the eighth chapter, but when it premiered the chapter 8 clearly said that the series had not yet completed. What made you change your mind? 54.- "Riddle of the Great Beings" spoilers 64.b. "Riddle of the Great Beings" spoilers 75.- In a page I read that Telluris and Sahmad belonged to the Sand Tribe, is this true?
8Bye . .

91) You mean the sand bats? 102) No 113) Couldn't get everything into Chapter 8 that I wanted to. 124) "Riddle of the Great Beings" spoilers 134b) "Riddle of the Great Beings" spoilers 145) No, not true. The sand tribe are the Vorox and Zesk. Telluris and Sahmad belong to a tribe that was wiped out by a plague 3000 years ago.

151.- No, I mean a bird, 5-foot wingspan, with claws that can penetrate a armor and its cry is heard by Gresh and Strakk before being ambushed by the Skrall
16New Questions: 171.- What happened with Sahmad after the defeat of the Skrall? 182.- Perhaps the Glatorian, the Skrall and the Vorox hava a common ancestor? 193.- About how long before the Core War was built the Mata Nui's prototype? 204.- Why the Scarabax Beetles help to the Glatorian and Agori in the Battle of Roxtus and the construction of the mega-city?

211) Its name is Striker. 221) That gets revealed in the November comic 232) No idea 243) Long time 254) Well, I wasn't aware they helped build the city, but they owed Mata Nui a debt for showing mercy and they probably also came to help Click.
#8957
1Whoa, I missed some interesting stuff over the weekend.
2Well, this thread certainly doesn't need stimulation, but I found this ancient PM in my inbox that has a few points that ya'll MIGHT not have known:

31) I read on Wikipedia that members of the Brotherhood of Makuta are "creatures of shadow." Is that true? If so, were they creatures of shadow before they turned bad, thus meaning light and shadow used to be on the same side?
42) This is a weird question, but I was wondering something about the Kanohi Nuva masks. When the Toa went Nuva, did the Nuva masks suddenly "appear" all over the island, or had they been there before?
5Thank you for your time.
6~Slushie

71) The BOM always used shadow as their power -- shadow was not considered evil until the BOM rebelled against Mata Nui.
82) No, they were teleported there by the residents of the island of Artakha

9Especially thought that Artahka bit was interesting...

10~Slushie

2QUOTE 3Part 2
44. How far did Fero's movie model come in it's development?
55. Who will appear in the next comic besides Perdictus?
66. Will Stronius', Atakus', and Fero's fate be reveled in EotS?

71) I'm not aware of there being a Fero movie model 82) You'll find out in a week when it comes out. 93) I doubt it, since EOTS is not going to deal with post-movie events.
#8959
1Just some stuff.
21) If the canister sets of 2010 are roughlly the same size as the past canister sets storyline wise, and you said the Stars size are none canon, will they be as large as the canisters in the comics?

31) The comic illos will be drawn to match the sets. We simply will not picture those characters alongside past years' canister sets, so the size difference won't be obvious. Thus, if I want to show Ackar and Kiina and Gresh in a scene together, I will show Ackar and Kiina in close-up from the shoulders up, as opposed to showing them full-figure next to Gresh.

4Did we just get confirmation Ackar and Kiina are back next year?
5I hope so. It would make sense anyway; Ackar's in charge of BM defense, so he's required to fight off Teridax.
