11. Can Lewa create air in space or would it be 'vaccumed up' right away?
21) Good question -- what would be vacuuming it up?

31. So there's no vaccum in BIONICLE space. Interesting.

4That is definitely not what that quote says.

5I can't see what else it would mean. Could you elaborate?

6If Lewa creates a bubble of air out in space, it's not that anything would 'vacuum' it up, it's that the internal pressure of that air is not countered by that of an atmosphere, causing it to fly apart and disperse. The term 'vacuum' just refers to the lack of anything to create pressure. Since 'Outer Space' refers to the emptiness outside of planets/stars and their atmospheres, 'Space' and 'Vacuum' are practically synonymous here. There is most definitely a vacuum in Space—they're the same thing. 7So if Lewa can create a pocket of breathable air, he's going to have to work hard to keep it from flying away.

11. Do all Skakdi have a unique vision and secondary power? For example, since Hakann have already got Heat Vision and Mental Blasts, can other Skakdi still have either of those power?
2Thanks.

3I don't think we have ever said that only one member can have those particular powers.

1I think this is new,
2Hello, mr.farshtey
3chirox said "We knew what to do with Toa on Destral ... raw material for my Rahi, that's what they were."
4Was this the fate of the toa Hagah who were eliminated after norik's team rebelled?
5thank you.

6Some, sure.

7I think we already knew that many Toa Hagah teams were eliminated by the Brotherhood when they became a threat.

8But this means that some of them were used as raw material for chirox's rahi.

11. Why did Teridax sent the group into space? 22. Is Artakha the only being able to control a legendary mask? 33. How would the Great Beings feel about Teridax's betrayal? 44. Why do the male and female Skrall want to destroy each other if they each need the other to reproduce?
51) Um, to kill them? 62) Only one we know of, yes 73) I think they would be diappointed and angry that their experiment went wrong 84) Well, a lot of animals in nature on Earth get together ONLY to reproduce, and avoid/attack each other at all other times. And, of course, some male animals even eat their mate's young. So males and females of a species hating each other is not unprecedented.

1Hey Greg, I have just a few questions for you.
21. In chapter 10 of RoS, what did you mean by the Toa Mahri were completely amphibious?
32. You said that if you can get a name list approved that you're going to make a serial about a new alternate element Toa team. What elements did you have in mind?
43. Is it safe to say that a Toa of Psionics can rob a foe of thought and cause him to pass out from confusion?
54. Does Jaller have two Power Swords?
65. Who is your least current character to write about?
76. I know that real life physics don't apply to Bionicle but, are all of the beings in space frozen because of the extreme cold causeing their parts to freeze?
87. If Kraata-Kal is more powerful than the average Rahkshi. Why doesn't Teridax make more of them?
98. Since Bomonga has the Mask of Growth could we say that he uses his mask to make himself taller than the average Toa?
109. I am writing a epic about Mazeka and the Alternate Teridax and I was wondering if there are any pools of Energized Protodermis in the Souther Islands?
1110. Again about my epic. Is there anyway that Naparu could possibly rebuild a Kranua?
1211. Where is "Darkness" at or in other words what is his status?
13Thank you for your time .

141) What part of "amphibious" didn't you understand? 152) Haven't decided yet 163) More likely that he would telepath mental static at the person and cause confusion. I don't see how he could "rob him of thought" 174) Is he shown having two somewhere? 185) Least current? I don't get you. 196) I am not going to give away elements of the next chapter 207) Well, the first one he created escaped and defected to his enemies, so that would tend to indicate they are unreliable 218) He would be capable of it, yes 229) Possible 2310) I can't see why he would want to, given what happened with the Kranua and the other Vahki 2411) He's fine. He's with TSO

26Not to burst your bubble, but he said that Bomonga is capable of it, not that he does it. In other words, yeah, he could, but it's not what he does all the time. Hence no canonization. Sorry.

11. I was wondering, since ordinary MU stars are electromagnetic signals of Mata Nui's "nervous system", and the Toa Inika created their Spirit Stars by emitting bolts of lightning toward the Red Star, could it be that all Spirit Stars are electromagnetic in nature?
22. On a similar note, six stars above the island of Mata Nui were believed to be the Spirit Stars of the Toa Mata. The Toa Mata's canisters were originally released from Karda Nui, which is basically a huge electrical generator. Could the Toa Mata's Spirit Stars have been emitted from the Codrex along with their canisters?
3Thanks in advance. These questions have been bugging me for a while.

4This is really not a topic I am an expert on. The whole spirit stars thing was an invention of Bob Thompson and the nuances of it were never explained to me.

5This answer kind of stinks, but at least no follow-up questions are necessary.

2Plus, using a mask power takes constant effort. Being constantly taller than average would require constant concentration, which would be distracting and tiring. There's no reason for him to use his mask unless he really needs to.
#10609
1But Greg said yes after he said he would be capable of it. And Matau didn't have to concentrate to keep his form when he shape shifted, he only had to concentrate to shape shift and unshape shift. If you remember Bomonga fought while using his mask, and you can't really concentrate when your fighting. I'll ask Greg to be sure, but I think he was trying to say yes. All the other times Greg has canonized something he has said like "thats possible, yes" or when he doesn't canonize something "that seems very unlikely, no" so I think he said yes.

2You need to be able to concentrate in the middle of a fight to be able to use a mask effectively, yes. That's their weakness--if your concentration is broken, you lose control of the mask.
3Also, all Greg said was that it's possible for Bomonga to grow taller than other Toa, not that he actually does so. Plenty of things are possible that don't happen. If you want something made official canon, Greg needs to officially say "this is canon." However, I don't think he will, because constantly keeping a mask active is a lot of effort to put into something that'd basically just be for fun.

1Hi GregF. Sorry if this is a repeat, but I'm starting to think the server ate it :) :
21. Recently, someone asked you about Artakha's armor colors, and you replied that "gray-green" was a solid color, comparing it to blue-green. Now, in Legacy of Evil, when Hakann &Vezok ambush a Toa of the Green:
3"[Hakann's] information was that this blue-green armored Toa controlled plant life."

4Because that Toa is specifically described as having blue-green armor (and is the first mention of plant-life Toa in the story), does that mean that the primary color for the Green is blue-green or just blue and green?
52. Are you aware of any plans to have The Crossing released in English?
63. Do all of Brutaka's species possess the mental discipline to wear and use Kanohi, or is that just Brutaka with his OoMN mental training?
74. Both of the 2 Kanohi Olmak were made by Artakha. Did the inventor give one to the unnamed Toa (who was killed before he became a Turaga) on Jovan's team so as to speed up their mission?
84b. After Jovan's team fulfilled their mission, did the unnamed Toa return the Olmak to Artakha?
95. Around what time (relatively) did Brutaka leave the Brotherhood's military and join the Order? And why did they let him join if he had been previously associated with the Makuta?
10Thanks for your time.
11--Jovarr

121) Nope. The plant life Toa is green with blue as a secondary color. 132) No, but I wouldn't be necessarily. That is something AMEET would be dealing with. As I understand it, the whole story is available in English on BZP if you want to read it. 143) They all do 154) Most likely arranged for him to get it as opposed to gave it to him personally 164b) Unknown 175) I don't have a timeline for this. And I am sure the OOMN would have checked him out first. Besides, the Makuta were not in open rebellion at that point, so a lot of otherwise good people (like the Toa Hagah) were working for then.

181. Another theory evaporates... ah, well. :P 193. Yay . Another cool species who wield giant armaments and can wear Kanohi . 204b. Well, if he didn't and if a Makuta killed him, that could explain why they had his Olmak at Destral... 215. That makes sense, I suppose.

31.does the adaptive armour have adaptives modes progmmed into it or has it got some kind of AI that changes it?
42.could the adaptive armour have a space form?
53.Would you consider crystal as an element?
64. do the batterra shapeshift in the same way that the makuta do?
7Thank you very much for youre time I realy apreciate it 8SPRK
91) AI 102) Possible 113) No, that has already been rejected some time back 124) I would say no, since Makuta are bio-mechanical and baterra are machines, so different things would have to be involved in it.
13Just some new questions

1Hi Greg,
2I was wondering why you decided to make Gravity a small tribe? It just seemed to come from out of the blue. Is there a specific reason why you chose Gravity as the smallest tribe?
3Thanks, 4Filis

5Because I wanted there to be a smaller number of Toa of Gravity, and the easiest way to do that is to make the base tribe smaller, thus the potential for fewer Toa.

1Here is what Greg said about the Bomonga thing. "Well, we haven't shown him doing it, or referred to him doing it, so they are basically right -- until there is something in story that says he has done it, "capable of" is as far as the answer can go. "

11. One of the new Hero Factory sets, Von Nebula, quite clearly has Hydraxon's mask. How come HF can use Bionicle masks, but not the other way around? I was under the impression LEGO wanted to avoid association of key Bionicle pieces with HF.
22. On BS01, it says Tren Krom was inspired specifically by Cthulhu. Is this true, or was he an homage to Lovecraft in general?
33. There's something of an argument going on in the Elements topic--the crystalline protodermis the Shadowed One's staff creates is a different substance from frozen liquid protodermis (the stuff Toa of Ice create), correct?
44. BS01 states the user of a Mask of Psychometry has no control over what he or she sees. However, the only in-story use of the mask would seem to contradict that.
5Toa Helryx, leader of the Order of Mata Nui, picked her way across the remains of a battlefield. She was on the beach of the island of Nynrah, site of a struggle between the Brotherhood of Makuta and the Order. After a long and furious battle, the Order had won - driving the Brotherhood forces from the island or crushing them on the beach. Now she wandered the sands, occasionally picking up a piece of Rahkshi armor, studying it for a moment and then discarding it.
6There was a method to her madness. Using her Mask of Power, Helryx could read the past of an object simply by touching it. Her goal here was simple; Rahkshi were created using a powerful substance called Energized Protodermis. The Order wanted to know every source of that substance used by the Makuta so they could capture or destroy those sources. Without them, no new Rahkshi could come into being.
7So far, all the ones she had identified here were sources the Order already knew about. Still, it was worth the effort. It would be far easier to defeat the Brotherhood by cutting off their source of power, rather than beating them in battle.
8She picked up a piece of crimson Rahkshi armor and called on the power of her mask. This time, she saw a place she did not recognize: Makuta Chirox was there, and a silvery pool, but not just any pool, no, this one had a figure emerging from it: a being actually made of Energized Protodermis. She concentrated hard and the location came to her: an island just north of the one her newest ally came from.

9Helryx is looking for a very specific thing in each object she picks up, finds it reliably, and then concentrates to learn more about that one specific thing. This seems like control to me.
105. You said Artakha carries a warhammer, but I don't see why he would need a weapon, since he's spent the last hundred millennia sitting in his fortress not fighting anyone. 11a. Is the warhammer his old weapon, from when he fought Karzahni? 12b. Is it something he just decided to bring along with him when he left his island? 13c. Since he's a craftsman, is the warhammer a forging tool repurposed as a weapon?

141) I am not a set designer or a Brand manager, HP, so this is not a question I can answer. 152) Lovecraft in general 163) Yes. Ice and crystal are not the same thing. You don't drink your soda out of a glass made of ice. 174) On the contrary -- it says what her goal is. It does not say she could specifically control the power to look for that. And remember, psychometry is giving you the past of an object -- Rahkshi armor originates from EP, so it stands to reason if you pick up pieces of it, odds are good you will get a vision that involves EP. 185) C.

19Welp, I got some stuff to change on BS01.

1___ 21. Could the Crescent Scythe access Nektann's Water ability? 31) Yes 42. Is the Kanoka disk for the Mask of Mutation the Reconstitute at Random disk? 52) No. No reason to believe that mask was made using a disk. 63. You know the promo names for the Piraka (Bully, Beast, etc.)? What are your feelings towards these names for being the names for the Piraka when they were Dark Hunters? 73) I never liked the names, so no. 8___ 91 and 2 are new. Not sure about 3...1 was obvious. And I thought 2 would be a 'Yes'. But I probably thought of something different.

2Thank you for your time .

34) Is he shown having two somewhere?

4No, Jaller had two energized flame swords as an Inika. The other didn't make it into set form, but is still in the story. They fused into 1 power sword when he was a Mahri.

1I'm just canonizing one thing after another here... stop me if I seem too carried away.
2In the most recent Mata Nui Saga chapter, the artwork shows Hahli, Hewkii, and Nuparu fighting off several Rahkshi and Nektann in Po-Metru. Could we confirm that Nektann was instructed by Teridax to lead a strike force of Rahkshi at Metru Nui to, say, assist Ahkmou in quenching rebellion, but was attacked by the Toa Mahri and withdrew?

3I'm okay with that

4I tried to confirm some stuff about the anonymous islands in the MU, but it didn't work out. The only thing in there that seems worth canonizing is Nocturn's homeland, which I identified with the two islands in Mata Nui's left shoulder (his left, not ours). They look a bit like they could have once fit together, which fits Nocturn's fit of rage and its aftermath, but Greg nixed it. :(

2Hey GregF, just a few questions. 31. Is Heremus (the name of the Great Being from the prologue of Journey's End) the Great Being that touched the Kanohi Ignika and was cursed by it and then later driven insane and imprisoned? 43. Is/was Angonce the leader of the Great Beings? It seemed that way to me because he was the one who christened the robot as Mata Nui, which was important, right? 54. Angonce did not take part in the creation of the Baterra? 65. Is the pronunciation of Ba- in Ba-Matoran this: bah? 76. What is Heremus' role in the Great Being hierarchy? I assume there is one because Angonce mentioned him twice, so he must be important like Angonce, perhaps. 87. What is the pronunciation of Heremus? 9Thank you.

101) No. Not sure why people think that, there is nothing in the story to indicate it. Heremus was working on the baterra, not the Ignika. 113) No. I don't see the GBs as having a leader. 124) No 135) Yes 146) Like I said, I don't see there as being a hierarchy - -this was a meeting of minds, a council of equals. 157) Heh-REE-muss

2so my question is this: 3is it A) they are , and they can par hits 4cool.gif they are Elemental, they can not retract, and they can par hits 5C) they are Elemental, they can not retract, and they can not par hits (being fire) 6D) they are Elemental, they can be summed (like a blow torch) and can par hits 7E) they are Elemental, they can be summed and can not par hits
8Its been confusing me for some time so please, enlighten me
9-Endo-toa

101) Toa tools do not have elemental powers, the power comes from the Toa -- the tool is used to focus the power, the same way a fire hose focuses water but the hose does not create the water. The Glatorian weapons did at one time have elemental powers, but those powers ran out long ago. 112) Toughness relates to armor and/ just physical endurance. It basically relates to how hard it is to hurt

12part 2, for I was not satisfied
131)Can the weapons par hits? (Sins fire is not soled I whold think that any hits whold just go thew it) 142)Is it real elemental powers or just Protodermis shaped like Elements 153)can it be sumand (like a lightsaber) 164a)why is there fire on the Electric Shield 174b)fire on the Staff of Fear 184c)lightning on the Air Saber 195)are Norik's Rahaga Staff and Berix's Water Sword elemental?

201) Sorry, I don't know what "par hits" means 212) I already answered this. 223) The weapons? In the movies they can, yes, but not in non-movie story 234) Because that is how the set designers designed them. 245) No. Berix's used to be, but the power ran out on it a long time ago, and the Rahaga did not have elemental powers. They had different powers.

2We know that Nocturn, in a fit of rage, broke his home island in half. He was subsequently sent to the Pit. Now, I was looking at the official map of the MU. I have placed an edited version of it right here.
3Now, in what appears to be Mata Nui's left shoulder (his left; our right if we're looking at the picture) are two small islands that look almost like they could have once fit together. It seems reasonable that the two halves of Nocturn's island could have become two separate islands after his earth-shattering blow, so I ask:
4Could we confirm that the two small islands located just above Odina are the remains of Nocturn's homeland?

5Fine.

7Except it was stated that Nocturn's island was destroyed, not split. You just made Greg retcon a previous fact.

1I think I accidentally deleted your reply to this once, so here it goes again...

5Fine.

8It's possible the area between the two islands was destroyed and the two islands currently there are simply fragments left.

1:lookaround: I am deeply sorry for contradicting facts, but I completely forgot about it, and so did Greg, apparently. I'll just go hide under a rock now, I don't appear to have made myself incredibly popular...
2(That was a joke, sort of.)

1I am preety sure the story says it split when he hit it, but even if I am wrong islands are a good size so destroying it would still leave big chunks.
