1No, actually, in order to recover traits lost to evolution, the species needs to get them back through other means. They can't just activate this "inactive DNA", even if they have it.

2finally remembered the word. snakes have rudimentary legs. this means that the building bricks for legs are still in their genome. or at least, partially, so re-evolving them is quite an easy job.
3however, for a snake to develop flight, you WOULD need complex evolution.

4also, science has already proven evolution. this leaves just two theories standing: is it natural Evolution, or is it Intelligent Design? which i think by definition is unsolvable

1Guys this discussion needs to be taken elsewhere. Its alright to discuss the questions, but now its becoming the battle of the religions now. So take the discussion Here.
#11003
1Religious discussion isn't even allowed on BZPower.
#11004
1GJ is right. It doesn't matter what religion you have, BZP has nothing against it. Its just it might become offensive to someone or make them uncomfortable.

1i never said they were all mechanical. i said partly. theyre about 70organic 30mech i think. which is still a lot.

2And we're talking about the prehistory of the Agori species, so it doesn't really belong in the Official Transformations topic.
#11006

1Agori and Glatorian are, at birth, fully organic. Then, they receive implants which make them 15% mechanical.

1I recently read the last comic of Journey's end and I have a few questions
21. Teridax is dead, correct?
32. You said that we are going to Bara Magna in the summer, Does this mean the story will continue?
43. was the "rock" that hit Teridax the red star? 53a. How did the inhabitants of the MU survive the impact?
64. Where is Mata Nui now?

71) That's my belief, yes 82) The story is continuing on BIONICLEstory.com, yes 93) No. The red star is a rocket pack, it's not a rock 103a) Same way they survived the impact of crashing into an ocean from outer space 1000 years ago. Plus, we haven't said they all survived.

12I think it was just a chunk of a meteor that Teridax pulled by accident.
13So Teridax is dead. Took 9 years, but the Makuta was finally conquered.

1Got some JE stuff.
2Hey Greg. With the final comic released, and the end of Mata Nui's story, I undoubtably had a few questions to ask.
3I'd first just like to say a big thank you for all the hard work you've put into writing this story. With fans like us, it can't have been easy, but effort and sheer brilliance you've put into your writing is appreciated by us all. Thanks.
41. The comic says the Golden Armor was made by the Ignika, but it has previously been said to be made by the Great Beings; who made it? 52. What was the purpose of the armor, to destroy all forms of antidermis? 63. Why did Tahu have to be devolved to use it? 74. What exactly became of Nektann and his Skakdi troops? 85. Is Mata Nui still within the Ignika, simply dormant? 95a. Where are they keeping the Ignika? 106. So if I'm understanding this right, the first robot is intended to bring the planets into alignment, and the second robot is then supposed to use it's more powerful systems to fully reunite the planet? 117. What became of the Red Star?
12I also had a few non comic related questions...
138. Given a previous response about the Ignika's ability to only evolve or devolve organics, does that mean, evolutionarily, that the Agori were once snakes (or will be in the future)? 148a. And what does that mean for Dekar? 159. In the Atlas, it mentions that the Order recruited from beings who helped watch over the universe as it was being made. Does it mean the Hand of Artakha? 169a. It also specifies Karzahni and Artakha as being guarded by these beings; is that why most of the current Order members aren't from the Hand (because a lot of the Hand members knew where Artakha was)?
17That's all I have for now, but there will surely be more =P

181) Both. The GBs made the Ignika and gave it the knowledge of how to make the golden armor. 192) Were that the case, then Makuta would have died at the same time. But he didn't. 203) Because it wasn't designed for use by a Nuva. 214) They were beaten and will either be imprisoned or else have to convince the rest they can be productive members of the new society. 225) Yes 235a) I don't think that has been decided by them yet. All of this just happened. 246) No. Both robots gravitic powers were needed to bring the planet together. That is what Mata Nui was trying to do, but his power was insufficient to bring them all the way back. 257) Red star is in orbit. 268) It means that, just like humans, they have switches in their body chemistry that are shut off because they represent abilities they no longer need or never took advantage of. And the Ignika can flip those switches on. 278a) Interesting question, isn't it? 289) Yes. Some HOA members became OOMN members. 299a) Yup

301. oic 312. Sent a follow up to that. 323. kk 334. Sucks to be them. 345. At least he ain't dead. 356. Uh huh. 367. But what'll happen to it? 378. Cool. 388a. Oh that Greg. Such a trickster. 399/9a. Just some stuff I was wondering about when reading the atlas.

3There was a recent quote where he admitted he comes up with the answers to most new questions in the spot. Still, this kind of stuff harms the consistency of the storyline.

1So technically Mata Nui killed them...

2Technically, maybe, yes, but he had no other choice. Teridax would have killed bazillions of lives, enslaved and tortured even more. He had to stop Teridax right there, or it would have all been lost.
#11015
1It's doubtful that happened anyway. Unlike a thousand years ago (right after the virus), the systems in the MU are functioning during that.

1Hey Greg . I hope you're doing well. :)

2Just a few random questions tonight/today:

31) I realize I'll probably get a "follow the story" answer, but is Metus truly sick, or is he faking and has a plan that will involve the two Iron Tribesmen?
42) Were any Glatorian or Agori... injured... when Teridax landed?
53) Is there any way that Tuma could manage to re-gain the loyalty of the Skrall again? 63a) Will Tuma factor into the story in the future at all? 73b) Do the Skrall now have the freedom to name themselves or are they now forever nameless if they did not have one previously?
84) Did any Vorox and/or Zesk manage to retain their intelligence or are they all savage now?

9That's all for now, thanks for taking the time to answer . :)

101) Metus is actually sick. It would be stupid to pretend to have the plague, since Telluris and Sahmad's first reaction to the news would most likely be to try and kill him. 112) No. 123) No 133a) I have no plans for him right at the moment 143b) The Skrall culture is that you get named by your leader. Most of these scattered bands are following someone or another, often an elite Skrall, so that would be who is naming them. 154) Not on Bara Magna, no. Possibly on Bota Magna, though there aren't too many there.

4He even tried to prevent that in the last comic.

1Hey Greg, I just read Jouney's End part 2 and I must say a excellent way to end Bionicle.

21. Is Mata Nui going to tell the Great Beings what happend?
32. Is Teridax dead?
43. What will become of the Red Star?
54. The people in the MU escaped, yes?
6Thank you for your time.

71) Mata Nui has no idea where they are 82) Looks that way, yes 93) It will stay in orbit until someone figures out how to bring it down or its orbit decays. 104) Says in the comic that Matoran came out of the MU to join with Agori in the end, so yes.

11Just a few questions I got this after noon. Nothing much but its on topic. lol

2It's metaphorical, not literal. He spoke with a "forked tongue" and played both sides.

1It still doesn't make sense and it's worth talking about to Greg.
#11023
1Guys seriously. Its okay to talk but you guys are making too much of a deal about it. Its too trivial to worry about. I'm not trying to sound mean, but I would like to find some insightful answers from Greg not whether or not an Agori evolves or not. Yeah, I would like to know about the whole Dekar/Hydraxon thing to but its not worth bombarding Greg for it.
#11024
1It's only been asked about once; how is that bombarding? 2The Dekar/Hydraxon question is more important to me than the Agori/snake question.

1Think of it this way, if you can survive being completely crushed by a gigantic wall that is 100 times bigger &heavier than you, I would think that you could survive a rock half the size of your head hitting you in the head.

2But the rock wasn't half the size of his brain. Also, it was burning.
#11029
1Look, guys. To me, there is a 50/50 chance of Teri being dead because
2-He has survived much worse
3-2011 having no villian means that the story won't be very intriguing. I'm sure GregF wants the story to still be interesting.
4-Getting killed by a giant rock is, well... anti climatic.
5I sent a PM to Greg yesterday, so hopefully we'll see if there is a chance Makuta is not dead.

7-What was "much worse" than a planet fragment smashing through his skull? His brain?
8-And you know that Teridax is the only viable villain because...?
9-No, it's not. Look at how Power Rangers RPM ended. They dropped a building on the final villain and blew him up. The series ran 17 years, 700 episodes, much more fame than BIONICLE ever will have, and that was good enough for them.

1Greg,
2I have a few questions, so I may as well ask:
3#1: Do you need to go through any legal red tape to use 'Generic' names like 'Swamp Stalker' or the Dark Hunter code names?
4#2: Have you considered using any Hero Factory sets with those names in BIONICLE? (Personally, I feel that the large black hero looks like a Makuta or Dark Hunter, though I dislike the others).
5#3: Does the Miru permit a user to levitate up and down from a standing position? I think I read somewhere that one could only gain altitude with a running start. I understand that you need some external force (or power over air), to move around, but if one simply needed to get off the ground...
6#4: Were you at all involved in choosing the characters to be the Stars? 74a. If not, what lineup would you have preferred?

81) In general, no, because they are more descriptive than they are proper names and usually aren't trademarked. And since they are in English, we don't have to worry about what they mean in other languages, etc. 92) Not allowed to. The HF brand team does not want their sets used for BIONICLE purposes, as they want it clear that the lines are not the same. 103) Yes, it does 114) No 124a) I really have no preference.
#11037
1Hello Mr. Greg, just got a few questions for you, hope you can answer them.
21. Do all regular Skrall look like the winter 2009 set, just different secondary colors? 31a. How many different secondary colors might there be? 41b. Any colors that you can tell us? 52. Do all special forces Skrall look like Stronius? 62a. If no, any details on them? 72b. If yes, do they have different secondary colors? Any you can tell? 83. Why does Stronius not carry a Skrall shield? 94. In TLR, Tuma has a lime green Skrall shield. Do the Skrall with different secondary colors carry one with their secondary color on it? 105.How many Skrall are left? 115a.Are they still a big threat? 12Sorry, I'm just considering buying more Skrall sets considering there are many and I'd love to have one or two with different secondaries (I already have one with lime green ). 136. The original Rahkshi sets were taller than the Toa Nuva sets of 02. Are they taller than Toa then? If so, any guess on how tall they might be? 147. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere there was once 3,000 Toa in the MU. Now there's only 57. What happened? 158. How many Psionics Toa exist? 169. About the Toa TSO has in stasis, could he have been released? 1710. Will what Tahu and his team and Onua did be revealed?
18Thank you for your time . 19Sincerely, Toa Veir
201) Yes 211a-1b) The creation of the different secondary colors came about because I needed to show Branar and other Skrall in GN #8, and needed Branar to stand out from the others in some way. So I do not know what colors the artist is using or how many at this point. 222) Since I really haven't dealt with any others in story, have not thought about this. I would not be surprised if they had different secondary colors, though. 233) I think Stronius would see the need for a shield as a sign of weakness. 244) No, not that I know of. 255) There are still a lot of Skrall left, operating in scattered bands. So yes, they are still a threat, but they are not organized and are largely leaderless, which mitigates it somewhat. 266) I would suggest seeing how they look in MOL and basing your decision on that, keeping in mind that Toa average 7.2 feet tall. 277) I don't recall the 3000 figure, but, yes, there were once a lot more. But they have a very hazardous job with a high mortality rate. 288) I don't have an exact number. 299) No 3010) If it feels more relevant than the other things I'm doing.

31Not anything new really... And yes I realized those questions must have been annoying to answered :P.
#11038
1The Dekar/Hydraxon thung probably isnt that big a deal. They are both life forms created arificially by the great beings, probably out of mostly the same materials. Because neither species reproduces, neither can evolve like tha agori do. But if they were created form the same materials then theyre similar enough for the mask of Life to transform one into the other. I really dont think we're looking at anything revolutionary in the relation of matoran to Hydraxon's species.
#11039
1GregF wouldn't have said it was an interesting question if it wasn't a big deal. :P
