12) Will know the names of the Element Lords?

22) No, probably not. I only have about 20 names I can use for the next year and a half, so I can't just use up six if I don't really need to

3I'm glad for this. I'd rather have 6 new, original characters (like Orde and Zaria) than just names for pre-existing ones.

2As the title says, I only have one question.1) Why did you choosed "Iron", if Gravity and Plasma had more votes?
3The poll was a guideline, I wasn't bound to follow its results. I wasn't that interested in writing about a Toa of Plasma, and Gravity Toa are so powerful you hardly need any other Toa if they are around.

5This is so true. Think about it: she's dead, and the 6 Element Lords are alive. The ELs have more importance than some dead person who never did anything, in my opinion.

1My guess is that if Greg's willing to waste a name on her, there's probably a good reason as opposed to naming someone still alive.
#12847
1i'm not convinced she's really dead.

1i'm not convinced she's really dead.

2Thought that too, why Greg would name a dead character that only would be used one or two times?
#12849
1Even if she is dead, I would rather have her named than the ELs. She isn't just some dead character that will get mentions once or twice in the story, like Lein, even if she is dead she is an integral part of the the story as being one of Sahmad's main driving/motivating factors. And her name and character will probably be appearing a lot throughout Sahmad's tale. Not to mention that she's a landmark character, being the first character mentioned as being a love interest.
2And the Element Lords, I hope that Greg doesn't waste names on them. They don't NEED names. While Sahmad's lover requires a name, as this is Sahmad's personal thoughts and monologues, so he would say the name of his lover, and person who probably means more to him than anyone else. The element lords don't need names, "Element Lord of Fire" or "Element Lord of Ice" (who both look AWESOME btw) work fine. In fact, I think the characters would lose a lot of their mystic and characterization if they got proper names.

1Hey Greg, hope you're having a good day. But now, to the questions: 2What are you currently working on for Bionicle and otherwise? 3Will Av-Matoran continue to turn into Bohrok on Spherus Magna? 4How might the MU inhabitants adjust to the Spherian concept of love?

51) All I am doing for BIONICLE is the serials, as there is nothing else to do with regard to it. Beyond that, I am doing my day job of Editorial Director for LEGO Club. 62) Yes 73) I am sure they will find it interesting to observe, but it won't affect them any. Not something they have any need for as a society.
#12851
1Love will interest the MU inhabitants? That Greg.
#12852
1Yes, the MU inhabitants will find love and that sort of relationship between male and females interesting, though they probably won't fully grasp the emotional depth of it, the deepest understanding probably being it on an evolutionary level, as to why it exists and what makes biological beings do that.
2Much like the common internet/gaming nerd.

1QUOTE 2Hello Greg, I hope you are having a good summer. I was wondering quite a few things, and I hope you could answer.
3Toa of Gravity 41. It's been stated that Toa of Gravity are rarer than other Elements. Is there a reason for this? 52. I saw a quote (by you) that suggested Toa of Gravity are more powerful than other Elements. Is this so? Why? 63. Would a powerful enough Toa of Gravity (through a Nova Blast or otherwise) be able to alter the artificial Gravity in the MU?
7Other 81. Can you describe Chiara's personality? She seems very relaxed, or laid back, like the kind of person who would just sit and stare at things. 92. How do you pronounce the names of the three new Toa and Marendar?
10Thanks in advance, I hope to hear from you soon.

111) Toa of Gravity are extremely powerful. Having too many in play would unbalance the story. 122) Think about what gravity can do. If all I have to do is look at you to make you fly off into space or be crushed to paste against the ground, then it doesn't really matter what powers you have, does it? 133) Yes 141) Her personality will get revealed over the course of the story 152) I will get to pronunications later on

17On Gravity, I never really got the logic behind that. Toa of Iron and Magnetism would be equally as powerful. In the MU, then can pretty much control ANYONE, they could flatten you (I think a toa of Iron could) instantly kill you, hurls you up, fuse all the mechanical bits of your armour together or stick them together. Or an Bara Magna, they could fuse/ stick someones armour shut, crush them, crush them with their armour, or instantly kill them depending on what type of blood they have (for example, they could instantly kill us because we have iron based blood.)

2But Toa are supposed to kill. Yes, fire could burn you to a crisp and a Toa of Water could drown you. But it all comes back to Toa aren't supposed to kill. That being said, I do agree that I don't see why gravity is any different, but Greg knows best, I guess.

3Ah, too true, but when you think about my 3rd question, a powerful enough Toa of Gravity could completely alter the MU Artificial Gravty. Also, Think about Toa who don't follow the code. A Toa of Gravity could do many things a Toa of Magnetism or a Toa of Iron couldn't, including causing crushing gravitational force without killing, and creating a field of zero gravity around an area, throwing opponents off balance.

21) If I create a new Dark Hunter with a codename, can it be a corrupt Toa? What I have in mind is a Toa wearing an exo-toa suit. 3a. If yes, does he have to be transformed or disfigured in some way?

42) If I have a new Dark Hunter, but want Savage, Spinner, and Toa Varian to all be part of the same team, can I have all three Dark Hunters capture Varian?
53) Are you okay with Savage once being a Toa of Earth with a Ruru?
6Thanks

71) Why would he be wearing an Exo-Toa suit? It would make it impossible for him to use his elemental powers. 82) Yes 93) I don't have a big problem with that.

101) Don't Exo-Toa increase the user's strength and endurance?
11Thanks

121) Exo-Toa are big, strong suits, and yes, they would increase your endurance, but they also rob you of the ability to use your elemental powers. That's why the Toa Mata abandoned them so quickly in the fight with the Bahrag.

1Nothing really new, but I was curious.
2Hello Mr. Farshtey, I have a few questions that I sent in a while back, but I guess it got eaten by the server or something.
31) Is Onua leaving the Toa Nuva to join Orde's team, or does he still need to help Kopaka and the rest of the Nuva with the Gold-skinned fusion and finding Lewa? 42) Will Orde's team be named? 53) Would the Sisters of the Skrall be accepted in the new Matoran/Agori society? 63a) Would Strakk? 73b) Would Malum? 84) Now that all of the Makuta except for Miserix are dead, are their mask powers still considered immoral? 95) Is Brutaka still possessed by the Antidermis? 105a) If yes, then he still needs to breathe air, right? Not like Makuta, who don't need to breathe? 116) Is the term "Toa of Plant Life" still canonically accurate when referring to Toa of the Green?
12Thanks in advance .

131) He wouldn't need to leave the Toa Nuva. Just because you are helping another team doesn't mean you have resigned from your old one. 142) I doubt it. 153) I doubt they would have any interest in joining it 163a) No 173b) No 184) Yes, why wouldn't they be? Most of the original Nazis are dead, we still see the swastika as a symbol of evil 195) Yes 205a) Unknown how the antidermis might have changed him 216) I would say look at how the Toa has been termed in story, and that is the canonical term

They could slam everyone else in the arena into a big tangled ball, knocking most of them out, and if some of them are still conscious, slam the ball around some. And a well placed Nova Blast from a toa of Magnetism could cripple the Mata Nui robot.

1Just a quick question I had.
2Hello Mr. Farshtey . I have a questions for you.
3In a web comic Pridak said "Once we six were rulers of the surface world, from Xia to the Southern Islands." The land of Karzahni is above Xia. However on biosector01 it says that the the only lands they League didn't conquer was Artakha, Metru Nui, Daxia, and the far reaches of the Southern Islands. So my question is did the League rule Karzahni?

4No, it did not. The fact that a land is within your sphere of influence does not mean you actually ran it. Switzerland was inside occupied Europe in WWII, but Hitler was not in charge of it.

5I should have realized that.

1Hello Mr.Farshtey 21. I was just wondering does a prime or second Glatorian have to do with age or can a secondary Glatorian be older than a primary? 32. How exacly did Certavus die? On BS01 it says naturel causes does this mean like old age or say he sliped and hit his head? 43. Did Strakk ever win the Great Tournament in Atero? 54. I'm having a hard time believing that the Glatorian beat the Rahkshi, skakdi etc. Since their was only Ackar, Gresh, Vastus, Tarix, Kiina, Perditus, Gelu and maybe half a dozen trainees agianst an entire army of Skrall, Skakdi and Rahkshi. 65. Could you confirm that the Kakama found by The Shadowed One in Time Trap belonged to one of the Toa of Ice on the Toa Mangai? 7Thank you for your time
81) Does not have to do with age, has to do with skill and winning percentage 92) Slipping and hitting your head isn't natural causes. Natural causes is usually age or sometimes illness. 103) I don't believe so 114) The majority of fighters on Makuta's side were Rahkshi. Tahu wiped them all out. At that point, the odds were even. The Skrall had only attacked because they thought numbers were on their side, so they had no reason to stay in the fight. And the Skakdi were then outnumbered and beaten, or gave up. 125) I don't believe that has ever been stated anywhere.

1Hello Greg . I hope your doing well today. I have a question for you.
21. With Mata Nui now dormant in the Ignika, what would happen if the mask was broken into pieces? Would it kill Mata Nui? Or would something else happen?
3Thank-you for your time.

4Mata Nui's spirit would have to find something else to occupy. If not, after a certain amount of time, it would dissipate and he would cease to exist.

5Just something I was wondering about.

1Just one question I have, in preparations for writing an epic based on the Matoran Civil War. How long would you say the war took place for? BS01 has no such information, so I'm hoping you can at least give an estimate, if you never came up with an exact number. I imagine that it can't have taken too long, since Mata Nui could have died by that time.
2Thank you.

3I believe it was six months, something like that.

1Here's a massive amount of possibly new info on the Baterra everyone, Enjoy .
2Today I would like to ask you a couple questions about the Baterra.
31. About how tall is a Baterra? (Ex: Toa height, titan, etc).
42. The picture from the GN of the Baterra are them in their default form correct?
53. Are the Baterras' weapons capable of piercing/slicing through the armor of MU inhabitants? 63a. Can their weapons slice through protosteel?
74. Do the Baterra have any preference to what kind of weapons they shapeshift on their body? Like do they usually like slicing into beings rather than stabbing?
85. Can their weapons shapeshift into... 95a. Swords. 105b. Daggers. 115c. Spikes/spears 125d. Saw blades.
136. About at what level of "violence" are the Baterra? Are they just quick assassins just going for swift and killing blows or do they do things like literally ripping enemies to pieces?
147. Do you know about the predator franchise? 157a. I was wondering if the Baterras' camouflage can render them transparent or invisible.
168. Is there a lot of Baterra on Spherus Magna?
179. Finally, how did you get the idea and basic concept of the Baterra? Any inspirations or anything?
1810. As a machine, do they produce any form of heat? 1910a. If yes to above, then it can be seen on thermal vision right?
2011. Other than shapeshifting its weapons into blades, can the Baterra use any form of ranged weaponry?
2112. About how strong is a Baterra?
2213. About how skilled is a Baterra in combat compared to most warriors in the MU and on SM.
23Thank you so much for your time to answer my questions and have a nice day.

241) Roughly Bohrok height. 252) Yes 263) Unknown, as they were not designed for use with MU inhabitants. 274) They are machines. Machines do not have preferences. 285) Yes 296) The baterra are not sadists. They do their killing quickly and efficiently so they can move on with their job. Ripping people to pieces takes time and achieves nothing, really. 307) Know of it, never watched any of the films 317a) No 328) A fair number 339) No, not really. 3410) Yes 3510a) Depends on if they are taking steps to actively mask their heat output or not 3611) In general, no, because ranged weaponry requires ammunition. The baterra attack by getting close and killing you, they don't really go for open field, pitched battles. 3712) Not sure what to compare them to 3813) They are highly skilled assassins.
#12873
1Hey Greg, I was wondering:
21. When you say that Skrall have never been beaten, are you just exaggerating or is it real?
32. Did any Skrall attend the tournament that Tarix won?
43. Who's older, Tarix or Strakk?
54. Who will write the Hero Factory storyline?
65. Are you going to make Tarix have a big role in another serial?
7Thanks.
81) Real. No Skrall warrior ever lost in an arena match. 92) No. Skrall had only been fighting in the arena for a year or so when 2009 opened. 103) Tarix 114) The Hero Factory story team, I would assume 125) I don't plan to, no
#12874

1I've got a quick question about the Toa Code and one about Zaria;
21. Is it ever acceptable for a Toa to kill under the Toa code? On BS01, it states that 'one of the key rules is that Toa must not kill their enemies, unless they have no other choice'. However, Zaria killed a Makuta under 'necessary circumstances', and that violated the Code. Is there any circumstance in which Toa can kill?
32. Also, how did Zaria kill the Makuta? I know he can use his Iron power to rip the armor open, but how did he manage to destroy the antidermis?
4Thanks for your time.
5-TN05

61) Pretty much no. There are times it has happened, when a Toa has unintentionally killed an enemy, and that is not considered a violation. But I see their code as being akin to Superman's -- who once said if he ever used his powers to kill a foe, he would retire. 72) Pretty simple. First, you rip the armor to shreds. Then you use your power to create a solid iron cell, with no cracks through which the antidermis can escape. After a certain amount of time, the antidermis disperses because it has no body to occupy, at which point the Makuta is dead. Or ... you compress the metal into a little ball, trapping the antidermis inside, then drop the ball into an active volcano, etc.

11. Okay, this may be tiring to answer all of the time, but all Matoran Universe inhabitants cannot love, reproduce, etc., correct? Whatsoever? Because someone said that the Southern Continent inhabitants did. I disagreed, but I just wanted to clarify for him. 22. Will the golden-skinned being have an important role in upcoming story serials? I can understand if you cannot answer my question.

31) No, no one in the MU has romantic love or biological reproduction. Whoever told you different is wrong. 42) I can't discuss future storyline plans

5Nothing new here. I really knew the answer to the first, just wanted to clarify for someone.

21)What is the exact purpose of The Powers that be? The other side of Spherus Magna?
32)What happened to Sarda and Hydraxon?
43)How did Karzahni escape?
54)Why was the former tyrant killed off? Or at least, why did Lesovikk kill him?
65) What awaits us in the future? And what happened to the Toa Hagah? A story for another day?

71) What do you mean "purpose?" It's a story. It's purpose is to entertain. 82) Probably in camp. 93) He was rescued from the MU and disappeared in all the confusion of rescue operations 104) Are you aware of Karzahni's past history? 115) I can't discuss future story plans

121) Sorry about that, bad wording. Is it the protaginist serial then?

131) No, it's not. It doesn't fit in a niche, it's just a story I wanted to tell.

1Are we alowed to ask and post questions about GN8 or is that breaking the spoiler policy.

2You can ask Greg about GN8, but you can't post the answers here. It is not allowed since we are trying to boost the sales of GN8 and GN9 to help support the approval of GN10.

3So that's why.
