What an awesome draft. I can imagine it. Seriously, What were the Lego Group been thinking ?! They can stop the setline, but they cannot stop the movie !I can't believe it ! It will also be a great novel... T-T
Bariakk: Magnan MasternerDINOAURS! Anyway, this would be a great story. 3 new Glatoran, 6 Element lords, and a vehicle. And then we get to Bota Magna, where bio-mechanical dinosaurs are livng.
Too bad this won`t be a movie... but will we still see the Element Lords at any point? Like, in a comic or something like that?
dude i totally agree with you!
by the way i thought for sure they would kill off ackar and kiini
GregFNo BIONICLE 6 movie outline exists. Had we done one, it would have been written in 2009, but by 2009, we knew there would be no 2011 movie -- so no need to write an outline. Also, just to answer the couple folks who brought it up -- you don't get "character depth" in a screen treatment. That's what the actual script is for. The treatment is to give the studio an idea of the plot and a way to estimate how much making the movie will cost. Character interaction, etc. is not the point of this exercise.
You could have fooled me, Greg. This had everything that the Legend Reborn didn't: interesting, complex characters struggling with new powers (as they should), on an epic quest to discover something that has been lost. If fact, I'm almost glad that we can see it here, in it's unadulterated form. It would have surely been oversimplified later to save the poor wittle minds of those eight-year-old children from exploding.
I sorta dunno about the Dino's though. It's smells a bit like a gimic.

Seriously. I think this bit had more character development than all of The Legend Reborn. Really liked the part with Mata Nui and Ackar, and how Kiina stood up for Mata Nui against the Water EL.
Personally, I love the bio-mechanical dinosaurs, they were my favorite thing about the picture.
To those saying the movie should be made, etc., sadly it wouldn't make sense to do -- because the way first half 2010 events shape up, none of this could have happened. So at best it's an alt. universe story now.
Wrinkledlion -- Not to my knowledge. That does not mean "no," it simply means that if the set designers had done any work toward 2010 along these lines, I was not made aware of it.
Personally, I would have put them back to the Bionicle planet where Mata Nui came from, and have them land in front of Makuta, but robot dinosaurs= WINAGE. To bad that little twist would mean this move would fail with critics.

Screw the bionicle stars non-sense plot. As far as I am concerned that monstrousity is the alt universe... "And somehow Tahu appears out of nowhere"
@Greg F: just because the sets are gone, you could probably still write the books, and this script would make a great book. plus, if you could do stories about the Toa Metru after the Toa Mata and Toa Nuva, then why not stories about Bota Magna after Stars?
A book would be a great idea, I'd buy it. (and i've never bought any of the bionicle books cause they're not available where I live)
The story sounds really good, unlike most of TRL there's a clear goal, a place where they're going. I also like Ackar's, Kiina's and Mata Nui's nastier sides showing, makes them better to relate to.
Like everyone elase on this board, a shame this will never be made into a real movie
@Gregf: Would Tera be a member of the sand tribe? (non-regressed?) (or Iron/Rock)
Very nice story layout. It certainly could have made for an exciting year.
Of course, LEGO obviously knew that this would have been in store had BIONICLE continued, so all this nonsense about "LEGO made a mistake by cancelling BIONICLE" is a serious fallacy. LEGO knew what their options are, and they obviously knew something we didn't-- perhaps regarding set sales-- that made continuing this plotline not an option. In the meantime, they were gracious enough to allow the story to continue, and Greg, you did a magnificent job of compensating for the journey to and through the Valley of the Maze being cut short.
Meanwhile, I'm still just as enthusiastic about the actual 2010 story and whatever plot developments it might carry.

Twilight Titan Lordbut, What tribe is tera from? Vorox pre-mutaion? Skrall? other tribe? Plague tribe?
GregF stated back there in the other pages that "Earth" was a placeholder for Telluris and Sahmad's tribe. It was only recently that it was decided that it was the Iron Tribe.

Wait, is Tera female or male? Hard to tell.

I really hate lego for canceling it now.
