2I could probably answer that for you.
3LEGO: Yo, Greg! Here's a handful of colorful elemental action figures! Write a story about 'em!
4Greg: Okay. *Creates masterpiece*
5(Several years later)
6LEGO: Yo, Greg! Here's some ninjas in impractical power ranger attire that are trained by Sensei Cliche, and fight skeletons in monster trucks with cliche golden weapons! Also, don't forget to throw in some dragons. Ninjas and dragons are the thing this year. And make sure the Ninjas don't smash anybody. Make em like superheroes ore something.
7Greg: wut
8Amen.

In fact I am sitting next to someone who owns 100+ bionicle and was devastated to learn the the theme was discontinued and replaced. Did you stop it for story reasons or for market reasons?
2it was not Greg's choice.

2It was, at one time, "The Boneheads of Voodoo Island".
3I thought it was something to that effect.
4Yes, it was the above name. Fortunatly they decided not to kep the name; lots of people I know couldn't possibly buy LEGO sets with that brand-name.
5Actually, that was probably just a cover name, so that another brand couldn't knock it off before it was made.

2Not rude, just ignorant. JK, Greg Farshtey is an awesome writer, who has written every BIONICLE comic, Ninjago Graphic Novels, and Chima short comics. He also wrote most all the BIONICLE books, with the exceptions of BIONICLE Chronicles 1-3.
