3so the MU inhabitants gained sentience from Velika interacting with them and their minds were evolving to compensate.
4and we do have situations where we see matoran interacting romanticaly (namely Maku and Hewkii)
5and we also know the matoran (and other species) are capable of other types of love (such as loyalty, friendship, and reverence)
6so therefore they could eventually develop new emotions (such as romantic love)
7so maybe Maku and Hewkii ahead of the game compared to the rest
8so therefore can you verify that romantic love was BECOMING canon?
9No. The only place there is romantic love in BIONICLE is on Spherus Magna.
10And the reason remains the same -- romantic love is basically an add-on to the mating urge that all creatures have (in our world). Romantic love as a concept did not even exist in our world until the Middle Ages. And it doesn't exist in the MU because there is no mating urge, as there is no capacity to mate. If you were building a car, you would not make it that the engine could fall in love with the shocks.
11My position on this is not going to change. What people want to do in their fan fiction is up to them, but I am not moving on this issue.

4Every Toa Hagah teams were created in the same time?
5If they were created at the same time, it would have to be before 70,000 to 75,000 years ago since that's when Spiriah was exiled, and after 80,000 years ago because Norik wouldn't have joined until after Varian was captured by the DH, which in turn were formed some point between 70,000 to 80,000 years ago.
6I assume you're basing the point in time of Varian's capture off of the BS01 timeline, and well, you see, the reason SN is asking is that he assumed that they were all created at the same time and so moved the events regarding Varian's capture to 80,000 YA instead of 7,000 YA, but since it wasn't confirmed that they were created at the same time, he and I had some discussions on whether or not it made sense, and he decided to ask Greg for clarification. So no, it's not confirmed that Varian was captured at that time.

The evolution of the Makuta was 40,000/30,000 years ago, which was the reason (as I remember) to have the Toa Hagah teams.
2How did Spiriah have a Toa Hagah team, if his exile was long before the evolution? Or had the Makuta Toa Hagah teams before the event?

5Buried..

9I know it must be "More Than 75, 000 Years Ago", before Spiriah's self-exile, but if Greg isn't confirm that the Toa Hagah were created at the same time, there will be a forevermore debate on my BS01 talk page.
10So my question is, Were the seven Toa Hagah gruops created at the same time?
OnionShark wrote:1It wouldn't make sense for the Toa Hagah to have all been formed at the same time, Greg said that Teridax's Hagah had been in his service for only a few years, while Spiriah's had to have been formed 70,000+ YA.
2No, he said "A while ... probably a few years at least"
As I told you on my BS01 talk-page, the "few" and "a few" are not the same thing. The "A few" could easily mean 75,000 years too, I don't want to continue this annoying debate there too.

3As of today, no. I am only allowed to post on a non-LEGO site if it has an age verification system, which most fans sites do not. I have been invited to post in a couple places, but haven't gotten clearance from our Social Media team to do so. So as far as I know right now, this is it.

31a) Which reasons prompted Velika to do the Awakening? What were his motivations?41b) Did the consequences of having sapient MUians (freewill, emotions, warlike and ideological conflits, Teridax-like behaviours, ...) were well known at the moment by Velika? Do they have any importance in his plans?
52a) Did Mata Nui was fully sapient from the begining or was affected by the Awakening like other MUians?62b) If he was already sapient, why wasn't he astonished by the consequences of the Awakening? Did he know that was somehow possible?
71) Because sapient Matoran would be more likely to follow him.
82) As we have already established, Mata Nui was paying very little attention to what was going on inside of him. Until you get sick, how much attention do you pay to what is going on inside your body?
91) Is it his only motive?102) Just a point of clarification: so, Mata Nui was fully sapient for the start, right?

Although I believe this constant sharing of informations between fans and creators may have altered Bionicle in some wrong ways, your dedication to this universe (and its fans) and your work to expand it are cleary memorable.2Thank you again.
34b) Okay, but why have the revived never spoken about it? I'm sure this kind of stories would have made A LOT speak about them.4As for your first point -- I have to disagree with you a little. While I am sure there are people who would have preferred a lot of the questions I answered NOT be answered, fact is it was their fellow fans asking the questions. To me, their desire to know is just as important as someone else's desire not to know. A lot of people like movie spoilers -- I don't, so I avoid them. No one was under some mandate to read my answers if they didn't want to know these things.
5So, another possible dysfonction in the ressurection process? Like some post-traumatic conditions altering the memory, maybe?
6Don't get me wrong: I'm 100% agree with you on the "have the right to know" point. By "wrong ways", I was referring to the confusion about certain answers' validity and interpretations which have been debated at some points, and the issues involved for the wikis and the fans who write those wikis. And so, some fans would claim "that thing is canon, Greg said it!" and another group would respond "no, it's the opposite: you put words in his mouth!".
7Since I'm not alone on this thread and there's only a few hours left, I doubt those will be answered in time. But I give it a try. And again, thanks for all Mr. Farshtey!

1Greg,
2I can't resist doing as others have done and taking this final chance to thank you for everything you have done for the past decade and a half. You enriched my childhood and have shown incredible dedication to your fans and the world you helped bring to life by continuining to answer questions for 7 years. Though I'm sad to see this topic go along with the rest of the Message Boards, it brings about a sense of peace: Bionicle G1's story is finally, now and forever, closed. Farewell and thanks for all the memories.
