1Can you explain the Red Star a little more in depth?

2I remember in Makuta's guide to the Universe book it said that Gali saw the red star and was startled to learn that it had beings inside of it, can you tell the community more please?

1Hi Greg!

21) Is it true that Makuta can make Matoran, but simply did not wish to?

32) How would you describe Lariska's personality?

4Thanks!

1So, it's kind of implied in the Mask of Light movie that Jaller has a crush on Hahli...do couples even work in the Bionicle world? And are the Toa Mata actually brothers and sister, or do they just call one another that? (In general, are there any siblings among Bionicles?)

21) There is no romance among MU inhabitants. That was a movie thing, because movie studios like to have cute things like that for purposes of humor, etc. Romance would serve no purpose for MUers, because the relationships cannot lead to anything or serve any purpose for the society.

32) They are brothers and sisters in the same sense all police and firefighters are brothers and sisters. There is no biological reproduction in the MU, so there cannot be siblings.

1Hi Greg,

2Since the serials like The Powers That Be are unfinished and are unlikely to be finished, would you ever consider having another flash fiction contest on BZPower to finish them, so long as you gave us the general idea of where the story is headed?  Of course, you would have to approve them to be considered official canon, but I would love to read the completed stories, especially about the Great Beings and Red Star.

3I love your work!  I look forward to reading more of your works in the future!  Thanks for your time!

4I don't think that would be feasible right now. I can't really have any involvement with BZP due to LEGO's social media policies, first off, and secondly, I don't know where stories are headed when I start them. I make them up as I go along.

1Hi Greg

2It's great to be able to speak with you, Bionicle was something very special to have lasted all this time, I understand you also are working on newer projects, but I'm afraid I'm here because of your work on Bionicle.

3Like a lot of people, I am holding my breath on a continuation or sequel of Bionicle at some point in the future, but the major problem seems to be how the end was handled, aswell as making it difficult to continue the story with Makuta Teridax dead, the destruction of Mata Nui was heart breaking for us who grew up on the Mata Nui storyline.

4If you were to be working on a Bionicle reboot or continuation, would you consider changing/ uncanonizing the final fights with the great spirit robot and where the Matoran Universe fell face down, to allow you to continue working with Teridax, and to preserve Mata Nui from destruction? Since Mata Nui was where Bionicle started of course, could it be a viable platform on which to base a reboot?

5I would say a qualified no. If we were going to pick up BIONICLE from where we left off, or somewhere near where we left off, I would not retcon out the way the story ended. I feel that's a cheat to do. At the same time, if we were bringing BIONICLE back, I  would NOT recommend picking up from where we left off or from near where we left off, because it would put too much of a burden on new fans to catch up on story. (Think about it - an 8 year old today was 4 when BIONICLE ended, and likely has no idea what it is or anything about it.)

1How far can various beings with teleportation power travel? (Makuta, Botar's species, Artahka, etc.)

2Depends on if their teleportation power is dependent on being able to see where they are headed or not.

51) I am sure he would have been aware of how it was done, but it was not the job of the Makuta to do this. They were tasked with making Rahi.

62) It's been ages since I wrote Lariska. You might be better off just reading what exists already.

4Can you tell me its origin. (Did the Great Beings make it?)

5And can you tell me what goes on in it.

61) Yes, the GBs did make it. It fitted onto Mata Nui's back and served as a rocket booster when he was in flight.

72) Think of it as a recycling plant. When it is fully functional, dead beings from inside Mata Nui are teleported up to the red star, where their programming is downloaded into a replica body. They are then sent back down to MN. In recent years, the teleporting back part has broken, so beings are coming back to life and finding themselves stuck on the RS.

8Essentially, the RS cuts down on the tech you need to have in MN itself for creating new Rahi and new this and new that, by replacing anything that stops functioning with a new version.

1Hi! Does the term "Great Spirit" refer to Mata Nui specifically, or is it just a title referring to whoever is in control of the Great Spirit Robot, in which case Teridax and Tren Krom have also been "Great Spirits?"

2Thank you!

7When did the rs stop functioning?

8So when Lhikan was brought back to life, was he brought back as a turaga, toa or matoran? (when are the duplicate bodies made? does everyone have one at creation, or are duplicate bodies made after the being dies?) When beings are brought back, do they remember their "past life"?

9And about the new rahi thing... how does that work? are rahi brought back too? or does the rs just duplicate existing species? when a makuta makes a new rahi species, do they only have to make one specimen, or do they have to make every single specimen in existence? if the rs was working, wouldn't that basically mean that the order of MN couldn't truly wipe out the visorak?

10Would the red star bring back the makuta species too?

11It has been proven by the Iden's powers that MU inhabitants have a soul... so when you say "programming", does that mean that the Great Beings can create souls?

3It refers to Mata Nui specifically, because that is who the Matoran identify with. Tren Krom's role was pre-history for them, and Teridax would have been seen as a usurper of Mata Nui's power.

61) I would have to check and see if we referenced beings coming post-Mata Nui crashing or not.

72) He would be brought back in the form that he was in when he died. He died as a Turaga, and the red star does not have the ability to turn you back into a Toa. It creates the new body after you are there, so it is based on your existing body when you die. And yes, we know from story that they do remember their past life.

83) Yes, Rahi are brought back, and yes, Makuta would have to create every Rahi specimen since there is no biological reproduction. And you could wipe out the Visorak if you utterly destroyed them, because if there is no longer any consciousness, it can't be downloaded into the new form. That is why Matoro could not come back -- no body and no consciousness, everything had turned to energy.

94) No. The red star only works with protodermis, not antidermis. That is why when Makuta die, other Makuta have to take over their territory.

105) Actually, no, that hasn't been proven. The Matoran named the Iden the Iden, because they don't realize their true nature. What to them is a "spirit" to us would simply be their AI.

1Sorry to bother you again, but I just saw your last post and was hoping to get a bit of clarification for BS01. When you say Makuta can't be revived on the RS because they're made of Antidermis, does this mean Antidermis of any form can't be revived, or does this only apply to Makuta because they lack a body? If the latter, what do you think might happen to dead Kraata (presumably if they were beamed to the RS, their Rahkshi armor wouldn't go up with them)?
