1The Protocairn combiner model (from 2005) includes a Rhotuka launcher, but BS01 doesn't state that the Protocairns use Rhotuka. Thus, my questions:

  1. 2Do the Protocairns have/carry Rhotuka launchers?
  2. 3If so, do they all have a set power? Or does it vary between individuals, as in the case of Frostelus and other sapient beings? (For that matter, are the Protocairns still sapient?)

41) Yes

52) Yes, they are sapient. Their Rhotuka has a sort of a "short-circuit" power - it temporarily blocks the signals between the mind and the body in a target, causing an opponent to collapse.

3I am trying to resolve a fight. Could you make a list? Please.

2What are you basing the term "complete failure" on, Timmy? Retail sales figures? Wholesale orders? Or just your own opinion?

3Before any LEGO line is released, the models are tested with kids. What we go with is, in part, what does best with these focus groups. So while you may not like IFB, it is entirely possible that there are other people who do. So only you can answer why you don't like it - I can't do that for you.

4I mean the webisode seeing it I expected more of an epic, monster vs. robot battle, it was disapointing, the sets and prices are ok.

5I can't really speak to this, since I had nothing to do with its development. In general, especially for something that is going to be viewed internationally, we always have to be aware of the level of action/violence in what we do.

6I know, but you could of had about as mutch action/violence as you have had in previus waves, and it  was perfectly acceptable for the younger kids.

1Hey, just a few questions:

21. So, I was 6 when I first got into Bionicle.  That was way back in 2001, and I still remember the first set I ever got - Gali.  I have plenty of fond memories with these things, and I'm still really interested in the story.  However, ever since you've been involved, Bionicle has been a job to you- could you give us some insight into how attached to Bionicle you are? I (and certainly plenty of others here) have a strong nostalgic and sentimental attachment to the line, and I would really like to know if it's as valued to you.

32. Bionicle was decided to be cancelled in 08 - why was this?  I thought that the line was going pretty well up until then.

43. I see Bionicle lore treading Star Wars/Star Trek territory - that is, expansive enough to warrant different media outlets.  Of course, it would never reach the level of today's Wars/Trek, considering it was a sub-franchise of LEGO and is thus not as flexible.  I just wanted to know your thoughts on this - you are/were the sole writer for Bionicle, so you've created a whole bunch of stories yourself, whereas hundreds of different minds came together to create Star Wars and Star Trek.

54. Going off the previous question, why were you the only one responsible for Bionicle's stories? Did Bionicle become larger than TLG had originally envisioned?

65. Do you see Bionicle returning in any possible format in the future? Would it be profitable for LEGO to do something like this, or is it generally better to assume Bionicle is dead for good?

76. When would be the ideal time for you to finish the stories you've left unfinished?  Since you mentioned that the focus had to be on current lines, I wanted to know if you have any incentive to keep up with those, or if you're too busy with your current work.

87. Finally, I just wanted to know what some of your favorite bands are. Haha.

9Thanks.

7Well, I am just speculating. Since I wasn't involved in the project (I am not on the HF story team), I have no idea what went into the making of the video.

5I think it varies among Vortixx, just as it does with humans.

1My question today pertains to the conclusion of Sahmad's Tale (Chapter 7).

  1. 2When Annona drove the Aqua Magna Skakdi mad by feasting on their dreams, and threw the Skakdi fortress into chaos, what happened to the Toa Mahri? Were they freed from their enthrallment? If not, how were they affected by the strange things happening all around them?

9All good questions -- I had to edit them to be able to answer.

101) I pretty much lived and breathed BIONICLE for nine years, so yes, I was and am very attached to it.

112) Actually, sales had been trending slowly and steadily downward since 2002. It was still profitable, but if you stick with something too long, at some point it dies -- and then retailers won't ever want to see it again.

123) One of the myths of BIONICLE's cancellation is that we had "run out of stories." Not true. I could have told stories for 50 years in that  universe.

134) Not sure what you mean by "only one responsible" -- BIONICLE had a full story team that determined overall story.

145) Outside of maybe Galidor, I don't think you should ever assume anything is dead for good here. LEGO still owns the trademarks and all the rights, so the option always exists of bringing it back.

156) Even if I had time, I would need LEGO to want me to do that, and I'm not seeing that. It's a line that has been gone for four years now, it doesn't really benefit the company any to promote sets no one can buy anymore.

167) I don't really listen to bands. My favorite singer right now is Christina Perri.

1 How was my last post accepted?Confused It had nothing in itJoking AnywhoJoking
2I'm working on a Bionicle movie(thingJoking) that takes place a little before Web of Shadows. As such I have a few questions about the time.31. Were any of the southern islands named?42. About how long was it between the Toa Metru traveling to Mata Nui and back?53. How did Voporak come to serve the Dark Hunters?

1Do you belive in ALIENS?

1You said that the lines produced by LEGO are separate but I noticed that many of the Space/Castle lines make reference to previous Space/Castle lines why is that?
