2That's not really what I meant. I understand that all old Bionicle fans are almost adults now, and LEGO needs to focus on the younger audience, however the unfinished stories could still be updated on an website or something like that for the people who are still interested in them, and they don't really need to be connected with the "main" story line made for the new Bionicle series. It would be a shame to left those old stories unfinished and start new ones (I believe that Jaller said something like that to Takua in the "Mask of Light" movie ;p)

3I do see your point. Here's the issue:

41) Even if BIONICLE came back, there would be no official LEGO site where the stories could live, since they wouldf confuse new fans.

52) LEGO wants me focused on things we are trying to market, so again, if BIONICLE came back, the emphasis would be on new story. I have talked to a few people about the idea of resurrecting the old story to finish them off and there just hasn't been much interest. Story always existed to promote set sales, so something that is not going to do that isn't going to be a high priority here.

6What if Bionicle would 'restart'? Thinking  Then there would't be much to do for a while before it comes back to the serials.  And younger fans like me(I'm 13, I wasn't able to get the sets from the first couple years) could get the chance to actually own 'new' old sets.  It's crazy, but it could be done.  That way the old Bionicle fans can get a fresh start to Bionicle again, and newer kids won't get confused because it would start from the beginning.

1Some questions on pages 349 and 350 got skipped, or just have not been answered yet.

5Hey Greg,

6Just a quick question, if Bionicle came back, would the story serials be finished?

7No idea. If it were up to me, BIONICLE would not come back by picking up the old story, but as something new (a reboot or something else like that). As someone else pointed out in one of the threads, the original BIONICLE audience is mostly in high school and college now, and to succeed, the line is going to have to appeal to today's 8 and 9 and 10 and 11 year olds, who know nothing about it. So picking up old story and forcing them to have to go back and do all that research to know what is going on probably wouldn't be a good strategy.

8What if there was a way to market the story to the original fan group? No idea how to do that, considering most/all wouldn't buy the sets, but...

9I think the ideal situation for bionicle coming back would be to make a "sequel series", kinda like what "legend of korra" is to "avatar: the last airbender". (have you heard of those, greg?) Legend of korra is set in the future of the old series, so the old fans (who, if bionicle comes back, will mostly still want to keep up with the story) can have an interest in it, and also set far enough in the future that the new fans don't have to read up on all the old lore in order to enjoy the new story. While knowing the lore of the first series is helpful, it's certainly not necessary.

10Your thoughts?

112) That is certainly one direction you could take, but by  no means the only one.

12What are some other options, and which of them would you prefer? What do you think of just repeating the original bionicle all over again?

1 Does that mean that the Red Star USED to work? To be specific, did the Red Star actually revive people and transport them back at one point in the Matoran Universe's lifetime?

1Questions about a certain Toa of Plasma's status.

  1. 2In Island of Doom, Avak recalls a Toa of Plasma who had a one-on-one session with Zaktan. When they were done, all that was left was half a mask, some armor shreds, and a puddle of liquid. This might sound silly, but for confirmation purposes, did Zaktan kill the Toa of Plasma?
  2. 3It seems implied that Zaktan let his protodites eat the Toa. Am I correct in assuming this?
  3. 4Was this Toa revived on the Red Star?

5Moving on to the next subject: Great Beings.

  1. 6In Brothers in Arms, six Great Beings hold council with Mazeka and Vultraz. Might Velika have been one of these Great Beings?
  2. 7Since the Great Beings of that universe never created the Ignika, might the cursed Great Being have been among the councilpersons?

8One last question.

  1. 9When Teridax recreated the Visorak horde, did he recreate them exactly as they were, or did he add a few touches of his own?
  2. 10Did he recreate the seven breeds we know of, or pick and choose a few specific ones, or even do away with breeds altogether and just have one type of Visorak?
  3. 11If he did add his own touches, what sorts of changes do you think he would make to the Visorak?

2Yes

6My concern with that is that any kid could, without having to do much research, find out that Mata Nui is the island, etc. And so if all we are doing is retelling the same exact story, then that kid is going to be bored to tears because he already knows the twist. So no, I don't think just starting the same story over again would be the way to go.

3There was never any plan for that book, Charlie. The decision to cancel the book series came long before I would have started thinking of a new plot.

2Yes

3So, when would it have stopped working? And why?

1Erm, Greg, your BZPower sig reads "Bionicle Returning 2015". I highly doubt this is your doing- I thought you should know.

1Well, I've got few questions:

21) Did you really want to put dinosaurs at the end of 5th BIONICLE movie, or maybe this is just a joke?

32) What influence can Makuta's viruses  have on a living person?

43) If BIONICLE get back, would you start writing all new stories?

54) If someone wearing the Mask of Undeath dies and then he cames back from death, he can complete his last objective. And then what? He dies again? And what if this objective is already completed by someone else (for example defeating some EVIL guy)? Can the "undead" still live and do other things? What if someone will harm or injure, or even kill the "undead"? Can he regenerate himself or use mask again to resurrect? Also, can undead talk or eat (take energy) or feel emotions?

6Okay, maybe more than few auestions.

3I've taken a look at that one's blog. He does this solely for entertainment purposes of the tumblr BIONICLE fandom, his blog does state he's "not actually Greg" and he's not been discriminating so far, neither did he spread false rumors. I don't think this should be taken too seriously.

1Hi Greg! I just have a couple questions regarding the bionicle story.

21: Is there a general statement you could give regarding the difference between a toa and a toa nuva's level of power over their chosen element?

32: Is there any part of the bionicle story you specifically don't like or like less looking back that you included?

43: Other than just the fact the sets had changed a lot in design and the like, was there any reason in particular that the Toa Mata looked so different from pretty much any toa team that came after?
