Hey Greg, when an MU inhabitant comes into being, are they taught the skills needed for them to function in society, like how to talk and such, or are those pre-programmed during their "creation."

They are pre-programmed with it. Matoran need to get to work right away, they are created when there is a job need. There's no time for them to attend primary school.

  1. When did "the Awakening" take place? 90,000 YA, 80,000 YA...? Was it before or after the Red Star broke down?
  2. When was Velika injured and sent to Karzahni?
  3. For that matter, when did Karzahni round up all of his Matoran and send them to Voya Nui?
  4. When the Shadowed One disappeared from Xia, did Darkness accompany him?
  5. Since Annona has left Spherus Magna, have the Sisters of the Skrall regained their free will?
  6. When Annona removed the Sisters' individual will, did she also remove the psionic powers she gave them? Or do they still have those?

1-3) I don't have specific times for these events.

4) I don't think so, no

5) Yes

6) If the powers were bestowed by her, they would have vanished with her

Out of the two, which has the wittier sense of humor? Matau or Kotu (The Ga-Matoran)?

That's completely subjective. My opinion might be different from someone else's opinion.

Dear Greg,

I have some questions about Glatorian and Agori that I hope you don't mind answering:

1) If Bionicle were to come back, do you think the Glatorian and Agori would stay as an important part of the story? If it were up to you, would you keep them? I think they should stay, because they would add so much dynamic to the lore and variety to the characters. A Toa-Glatorian team sounds really awesome in my mind, and it could also set up some future conflicts.

2) This might sound like a weird question, but what color is Glatorian and Agori blood? Might I suggest blue? Blue blooded animals exist in real life, Mr. Farshtey-a good example would be the horshoe crab. Horshoe crab blood doesn't use iron-based hemoglobin to carry oxygen like ours do. Instead, they use the copper-based hemocyanin, thus explaining its blue color. In fact, Tuma's blood in the TLR movie was blue. I think having blue is cool, because it would reinforce the alien nature of the SM inhabitants.

3) Finally, are Glatorian/Agori mammalian/close to mammalian ?

1) No idea. As I have said, were it up to me we would not pick up the story from where we left off, so they might not be in the story at all.

2) No idea. Not something I have worried about.

3) I would guess so.

What is you're favorite and least favorite of the original 6 toa? (Tahu,Gali,Kopoka,Onua,Pohato and Lewa)

Kopaka was my favorite. Lewa was the hardest to write for, because of the treespeak.

Instead of Anger and Fear, did the Makuta of The Melding Alternate Universe have Peace and Courage (the opposites according to Mata Nui Online Game II)?

Would make sense, I guess

Why didn't the matoran notice how the makuta did all the work, made all the rahi, and all the tools?

Why did Tuyet betray the toa? Was she power crazy?

What does the phrase for the piraka sea snakes mean? Aren't the skakdi toa like in build?

Why did the Toa stop the Bohrok from destroying Mata Nui? Couldn't they just evacuate?

Did Pewku have other forms other then a crab?

Why would Nidhiki betray the Toa if he was best of friends with Lhikan?

What impact did the Makuta virus have on the plot?

1) Makuta did  not make all the tools or do all the work. They made the Rahi.

2) Yes

3) I don't understand your question

4) To where? The Toa did not know about Metru Nui at that point.

5) No

6) Go back through history. There are dozens of instances of friends betraying each other.

7) Um, it caused Mata Nui to crash into a planet and eventually led to his death

Zidonaro wrote:3) I meant the plants themselves. Can a jungle Toa absorb them into his body ?

Yes

Zidonaro wrote:

1 - Will we ever know how Matoran are created ?
2 - When the Metru Nui population went to the Island of Mata Nui, did they knew(or felt) that they weren't on their universe anymore, or they didn't even notice ?

3 - Matoran native from the same Island have same type of armor(like the 2004 Matoran and 2007 ones) ?

4 - Why the GBs genuine Shadow Matoran ?

1) Not if it's up to me, no.

2) Remember that they were transported to Mata Nui in pods and woke up with no memory of Metru Nui. They didn't remember being in that universe.

3) Generally, yes

4) Why would the Great Beings want to do that?

What happened to the skrall? Did they go in exile after the robot?

Did anybody see sahmad as cured or had any social interaction with him besides Metus and the other one?

Would it have had any difference if Lesovikk or any other person like Jaller Or Hewkii had put on the mask?

What happened to Lesovikk? Was he taken by the Toa?

What honor code did the Toa have?

How could Makuta hurt anybody inside the body?

Were the toa mahri mind controlled or pretending to follow the skakdi?

Were any other matoran used by makuta? An example is Ahkmou.

Why didn't the mask of life just destroy the barraki? It could transform the Toa. And that was when it was still dying.

So nobody returned to Mata Nui? They decided to not try repair it?

1) Can Ahkmou be said to be 'loyal' to Teridax in any way, or is it simply nothing but greed? If he is loyal in any way, why?

2) Likewise, were Galva given the choice, would she side with the Makuta and be said to be loyal to them in any way, or is she simply looking for any purpose in life?

3) Where is Roodaka right now, and what is she doing?

4) Where is Pridak and his army right now, and what are they doing?
5) Same question for Kalmah, Ehlek and Mantax.

6) Can Stronius be said to be the current 'leader' of the Skrall?

7) Is there any chance at all of Tuma regaining command over the Skrall?

Hey Greg, do age groups exist among Matoran?

1) The Skrall are leaderless at the moment, so they have temporarily scattered.

2) Not at the moment - remember, the story is basically frozen where we left it

3) What mask? Please remember all this stuff was written four or more years ago.

4) Hasn't been revealed

5) Toa do not kill

6) Because he controlled the body, which meant he controlled all internal mechanisms, defenses, etc.

7) They were mind controlled

8) Not that we know of

9) It had no reason to do so.

10) They don't have the skill to repair it. Only a Great Being would.

1) He was loyal to Teridax because Teridax gave him power and influence, which he wasn't going to get any other way.

2) Galva?

3-5) The story is basically frozen where it was left.

6) I would say  no.

7) No. In a culture like that, once you are publicly humiliated, you don't get to be leader anymore. You're an outcast.

Can Glatorian heal/regenerate their organics as fast as Toa do?
