1Firstly, does the Red Star have a range of access? Could Mata Nui only use it if he is within a certain distance of it, or can he use it from anywhere?
2Also, how did Mata Nui observe all those star systems when he was active? The distances between them would be tremendous, and if he wanted to visit them all in the time that he did, he would need to use teleportation or travel faster than light.
3Perhaps he worked more as a telescope, like Voyager 1? He would stay within the range of the Red Star (if it has a range), and it would be fairly efficient.

2Sorry. Forgot a word. Ahem. How was Takanuva resurected at the end of Mask of Light.
3I wish I could give you a great answer. But the simple fact is, the people behind the making of the movie never bothered to explain just what the heck they were doing in that scene and there was nothing in the script to explain it either.
4Apparantly the power of holding hands gave Takanuva new life

5Yeah, it's like Gaurdians of the Galaxy, except from like 12 years before.

1Well, why did Velika give the Matorans sentience in the first place? That dosen't make sense for, as you said, a "purely work-oriented society. They were supposed to be mindless workers, and actually sentience would be a hinderence rather than a help, as it would give them a choice not to work. If Velika was willing to give them the ability to make choices, why not the ability to love?
2Simple. As we saw, sapience did not interfere with their ability to work. They still got the job done, and it also gave them the will to resist the machinations of Makuta. Besides, Velika's end game was to establish himself as a ruler. What better and easier way to achieve that than to give your subjects the gift of free will and reap their eventual gratitude? The obedience of beings who have no choice but to obey means nothing. Love, on the other hand, is a distraction from work. There is a reason so many companies frown on romance in the workplace.
3Besides, you are the one proposing an alternate universe, so you have to explain your reasoning. You don't get to answer a question with a question. You have said you agree with the reasoning for NOT having romance in BIONICLE, so now explain why that reasoning is wrong in your alt. There are lots of reasons why free will and intelligence makes for better workers ... I can't think of any reason romantic love is going to make them better workers.
4Actually, who ever said Velika put it there on purpose? It could have been a programming error.
5Is that your explanation?
6Um, actually, having Velika give them sentience was, um, actually my idea. I suggested it to Greg and he liked it so everyone's taking it for granted now.
7I think it's cooler than a programming error, anyway, plus it would explain why they didn't get sapience until many years after their creation.

7You have misunderstood. Go read the whole conversation through to see, but I can assure you that the sentience was not a programming error!

4The RS normally is attached to Mata Nui or orbiting whatever planet MN is on.The teleportation effect does have a range of about 35,000 miles.
5He was not traveling between star systems, he was traveling to planets within the Solis Magna system.
Cavendish9 wrote:1So, you know how Tahu has some Kraata powers because of the Golden Armor? Since Krika, Bitil, and Gorast lost some of theirs when they were exposed to Pit Mutagen, would the same happen to him?
2(This question is puerly hypothetical, since Mata Nui cured all that were infected with the Mutagen).
3He could lose the powers just by taking the armor off.

3I've returned with the results from the polls for the Toa Mangai Kanohi. For the first poll, the Kakama poll, 64 members voted and 65% of the voters agreed that they wanted the mask to be known. The result was that the majority of people want the Toa Mangai of Earth to wear the Kanohi Kakama.
4In the Toa of Ice Kanohi poll, 95 members voted. The top winners were the Calix, Rode and the Mask of Conjuring. Those were the mask which the majority of the community wanted 3 of the 4 Toa of Ice to wear. The foruth place had to be done using a tiebreaker poll.
5In the tiebreaker poll between the Kaukau, Mask of Adaption, and the Kadin, 68 members voted and 47% of the voters wanted the 4th Toa of Ice to wear the Kanohi Kaukau.
6Do you approve?
7Thanks for your time and have a Merry Christmas.
8Buried again.
9My only qualm is the Rode, because I thought we had limited how many of those were worn in the MU.

4Well, can't you/we just try to find a possible explanation for what happened, and go with that? It would be a shame if these old events would go unexplained forever.
5Just throwing another question in: For any differences between the first movie and its novelization by Hapka, which one has precedence?
61) Marvel used to do something called a "no prize." Basically,if something was wrong or left out in a story, readers were invited to provide explanations for it.
72) Movie version takes precedence. Movie novelizations are based on scripts which may not be the final version of the script, which is why you see differences.

10I think that was the Olmak you are thinking about. BS01 says nothing about limited users. I'll ask about it on BZP.
1A Matoran Universe question:
2So, apparently the only reason that Metru Nui had suns was due to light coming through his eyes. Because in human anatomy we only have eyes or eye-like structures on our heads, does that mean that most domes of the MU do not have suns? And therefore, is it usually night time due to the lack of suns? Or do the domes have other "suns"?
