1Hello again!

2I have a few questions this time, about Rahi and the Kanohi Faxon.

31. Could aspects of a Rahi's physiology be copied by a Faxon, such as gaining the strength of an Ash Bear, or being able to turn into a Lightning bolt like an Avohkah?

42a Was there a limit to the distance that a Fader Bull could teleport?

52bi Was the Fader Bull's ability to teleport with its herd but also its unfortunate tendency to appear inside solid objects to do with its level of intelligence?  Being a herd animal, it would have probably possessed some sort of shared consciousness with the rest of the herd, allowing it to remain with them, but its actual sense of direction and distance - not to mention understanding of the teleportation itself - would have given it poor control over it.  That's my theory, anyway.

62bii If so, would a Faxon user (provided that they were an intelligent, sentient being) have been able to use the Fader Bull's ability almost like a Kualsi?

7Thanks!

8Has this been missed, by any chance?

9Not missed, exactly, but I need to research the Faxon before I can answer.

10Has the Faxon research been completed, then?

1Mr. Farshtey, I have a few questions about the makeup/functionality of Krana.

21.  Are they organic, or BioMechanical?

32.  How do they give a physical attribute to a Bohrok.  Say, a Krana Vu giving a Bohrok flight.  Does it initalize a system that was already placed in the Bohrok's physical systems, or does it somehow provide levetation through the Krana itself?  I guess the same question could be asked of Great and Noble masks also.

43.  If they are organic, how do they override programing of the being they "inhabit?"

5   Finally I would like to say I really enjoyed your writing in the original Bionicle series.  You gave great insight into what the Bionicle relm was like.

6  Thanks!

1Hi, Greg. I wonder if Botar and his species could teleport themselves from Matoran Universe into the Red Star?

2Since Botar has not teleported himself back to the MU after his death, I would have to guess no.

3Wouldn't it make sense that Botar would've not WANTED to, or perhaps their was a force that prevented such? Or maybe Mata Nui intervened, or maybe Botar thought Mata Nui wanted him to stay at the Red Star.

4I think there being some sort of screen that prevents teleportation to and from other than with the machinery does make sense. Mata Nui was in no shape to intervene at that point.

5I've been wondering about this, you have stated several times that Botar is still alive, but shouldn't he be dead? He was crushed by Icarax's magnetic powers, according to "Federation of Fear", so the Red Star should not have been able to revive him because his body is too damaged.

1Does Bionicle have alternate universes?

2Yes. See the Journies of Takanuva as a reference. He went to about three, if I recall.

3Where can you find the story?

4Look on BioSector01. It's a wiki for Bionicle. There's also the BioMedia Project. Think it has a few of the stories on there including Dark Mirror, The Kingdom, and Takanuva's blog.

1How long ago were the Hagah teams formed?

2How long ago did Norik, Iruini, Bomanga, Pouks, Kualus, & Gaaki become Toa?

3Is Dume the hero that Norik honours with his Kanohi?

5Uhh, Gaaradus teleported there and back when it wasn't working. And I was thinking more along the lines of he might've mentally done someting to influence Botar or something.

2 4: How much did prototype artwork influence story decisions?35: When it came to discussing ideas and concepts that would end up being used, did the team vote upon certain ideas or did things only happen when everyone agreed on them?46: When the subject of love in the Bionicle universe was brought up, was that immediately deemed "non-canon" or was this a choice made after the online games and animations?
5I know the answers to a lot of these myself, but a lot of folks don't realize some of it and I think it'd be nice to have recent answers to clear things up, if you choose to answer them of course. Thank you for your time, and have a good day!

74) Varied. There was generally a story direction before set work was done -- for example, we're going underwater -- and set prototypes could certainly inspire a lot of discussion.

85) If a majority of the team liked something, and the marketing lead liked it, then it usually happened. It did not have to be a unanimous situation. But you had to be able to make a case for what you wanted to do.

96) It was never brought up. The web producer did some stuff online at a point when there weren't a lot of rules yet for the universe and no one knew BIONICLE would last more than a year. Once it was underway, we had to deal with the fact that the majority of our set-buying audience were still reacting to romance with "yuck!" and it really didn't make sense within the context of the story universe. To my knowledge, there was never at any point a directive from up above that we should add, include or emphasize romance in this story.

106. I see now. So would it be considered that 'love' is 'canon' on Sphereus Magna?

2From Sahmad's Tale:

3"I ran through the village in search of the woman I loved. When I found her, I took her in my arms and held her tight, and an instant later, my arms held only empty air."

4"This was the woman I loved, who died from the dreaming plague more than one hundred thousand years ago."

1 Greg, are you following the new BIONICLEThinking? If so, do you have any sets?

21) Only to the extent that I am editing the BIONICLE stuff that is going into the magazine, all of which is being written by Matt Killeen, one of our Club writers.

32) No.

6He was sufficiently crushed to stop functioning, but we do not know that he was so badly damaged that the AI could not be downloaded. If, for example, his chest was crushed, he would have died, but the head would still have been intact.

6No. Gaardus was teleported up by the red star, he did not teleport himself up. And it has been stated that he was teleported back down before the system broke down. So he did not teleport when the system was not working.

1I was watching Bionicle: The Mask of Light and about 13 min. in the movie Nokama is tralnlating the words on the mask and in those words it sounds like she said  "Muaka Teridax". I know that Teridax's name was not told in the story till later on but was his name known back in 2003?
