9No. Remember that these Matoran were not designed to operate outside of the MU, and within the MU, there were charging stations they could use to get energy. So there was no reason to design them to absorb energy from ice and fire and air.

2Just a quick question: did the Matoran of Metru Nui suffer any ill consequences from spending 1000 years on the tropical Mata Mui? For example, a car is a tough piece of machinery (well, most are), and they can sit outside in the elements and perform just fine. However, keeping your car in a controlled environment is the best way to maintain it. Thanks!
