21. Is Dume native to Metru Nui? I thought I read somewhere he was.
32. Teridax kept a few Makuta alive to create Kraata because he couldn't do it in the robot. How long did he keep them alive?
41) I can't recall us ever writing anything saying that he was.
52) Well, they would still have been alive when he went to Bara Magna, but I doubt they survived his death.
61. He is. You canonized that at some point in this thread.
72. This is first time I hear of this. Back when the story was still going, you were very clear on Teridax and Miserix being the only Makuta left during Teridax's reign. Teridax had killed every other Makuta because he considered them a danger to his reign. Did you change this recently, or did you just assume it was canon because the person who asked the question presented it as a fact?
81. pretty sure he was stated to come from another land... also we know that metru nui had no toa for most of its history.
92. this is also the first i've heard of this... but apparently it was stated somewhere in makuta's guide to the universe?
maletoaofwater wrote:1Tagging along with my brain question I just submitted, it was mentioned several times that the MU people have "muscles", "tissue", and a little more vaguely, "organs". We know their muscles and lungs are organic, and we can guess they don't have an organic digestive system since they don't actually consume food. But given they have muscles and lungs, they must also have a circulatory system, yes? The oxygen they get from the lungs has to get to the muscles somehow. Also, we know they can die from compression sickness, as seen by that matoran from mahri nui who saved hahli when she dove after the mask of life, further pointing to an organic circulatory system.
2Also, many times in various media, both their mechanical parts and their added armor has been referred to as simply "armor". (One such instance was the energized protodermis entity calling helryx a creature of "tissue and armor", and a few more came from describing the makuta's bodily composition, before and after transformation.) Is it possible that those are the same thing? That, instead of them putting on their armor as we humans might do, that the armor they "put on" is an addition to their mechanical parts? (Like when the matoran of metru nui rebuilt themselves... Basically just rebuilt their armor.) That would seem to clear up much of the ambiguity of the word "armor".
3since we can't edit our posts, i'll do an addendum here: another example pointing to this being true is that fact that rahi were also referred to as having "armor", yet i'm sure they weren't wearing any additional armor besides their mechanical anatomy.
1Hi Greg, got a few more questions:
21: If the ocean around metru nui is liquid protodermis rather than real water, how did Toa Nokama do anything with her elemental power?
32: If great being are totally organic, would you say that it's impossible to accurately represent them with existing Bionicle parts?
43: Would their nature have changed if you had been told LEGO was making sets of them, or would you have just put them in armour or something?
54: If the great beings are scientists, then does thier race also have things like farmers and soldiers, and if so, would these soldiers be powerful enough to be a threat to a Toa?
65: Why were the glatorian fighting over energised protodermis. Did they know what it could do, or was it just a case of "that stuff's shiny, it's probably worth something"?
7Thanks

4I'm not sure this was ever really defined, but the BS01 page says that the Cycle was built to reach very high speeds, and had reinforced armor at the front that could ram through obstacles. I'm not too familiar with motorcycles, so I'll leave it up to you to see what that qualifies it as...

5Okay. Thanks for trying.
1Hi, Mr. Farshtey! I've thought up a few new questions for you:
- 2Were any of the major species besides Matoran (i.e. Vortixx, Skakdi, etc.) able to be created via machines, or were their numbers set to a predetermined amount by the Great Beings?
- 3Since plasma is considered a theoretical component in making force fields, could a skilled Toa of Plasma use his element to create a force field around himself (I know he could most likely melt physical attacks with plasma, but energy attacks are a different story)?
- 4Because psychometry is technically a psionic power, can Toa of Psionics perform it without needing a Mask of Psychometry?
- 5What kind of missions/operations did the average OOMN member engage in prior to the War against the Makuta? Did they mostly just deal with major crises, or were some of their members more localized, like vigilante crime-fighters?
6Thanks, and have a great day!

2I was wondering if you could give us a greater insight into your method and ideas behind the Karzahni set (the rather large green, pointy titan from 2007), that I believe you had a hand in designing. Thank you
3I created the character, G, I had nothing at all to do with the set design.

81) Remember that to the residents of the MU, liquid protodermis IS water.
92) Well, the Agori and Glatorian are primarily organic, and we represented them.
103) It's impossible for me to predict how the set designers would have handled this.
114) No idea. We never postulated a society surrounding the GBs, and there has certainly never been any indication in story that such beings exist.
125) It was obviously an energy source of some kind.
