1Hello again Greg.

2Do matoran have a safeguard system against powerful discharges or levels of energy which transforms them into a stronger form capable of handling the energy? This would explain the toa Inika more, as well as the av-matoran's ability to grow from Karda Nui power. Reasons for the Great Beings including this could be in case Mata Nui was damaged and needed power conduits fixed by matoran, or if the conduits were just plain faulty and hurled lightning everywhere inside the robot.

3Not to my knowledge, no. The Av-Matoran can do what they can do because they were prototypes.

1Hi, Mr. Farshtey!  I've thought up a few new questions for you:

  1. 2Were any of the major species besides Matoran (i.e. Vortixx, Skakdi, etc.) able to be created via machines, or were their numbers set to a predetermined amount by the Great Beings?
  2. 3Since plasma is considered a theoretical component in making force fields, could a skilled Toa of Plasma use his element to create a force field around himself (I know he could most likely melt physical attacks with plasma, but energy attacks are a different story)?
  3. 4Because psychometry is technically a psionic power, can Toa of Psionics perform it without needing a Mask of Psychometry?
  4. 5What kind of missions/operations did the average OOMN member engage in prior to the War against the Makuta? Did they mostly just deal with major crises, or were some of their members more localized, like vigilante crime-fighters?

6Thanks, and have a great day!

72. Plasma doesn't really have anything to do with force fields...

83. psionics deal with mental abilities, and psychometry deals with the past of nonliving physical objects objects.

92. Scientists have been able to create miniature "plasma windows" that could, if enough energy was provided to fuel them, act similar to force fields.  While we don't have enough energy to do so currently, a Toa of Plasma might be able to power something like it, hence my question.  Of course, it's probably not feasible, as only a Toa with great skill would be able to accomplish it.

103. I could be wrong, but Wikipedia does have psychometry listed under psychic/psionic abilities, though these qualifications could be different in the MU.

11Psychometry is a psychic skill, but that does not mean every being who is psychic has it. It's like being a martial artist - just because you are one does not mean you know every martial arts discipline.

11: So does that mean that Toa of water have o control over the actual water on spherus magna?

2No, It was stated in one of the books that Gali had to learn to control regular water when she was on Mata Nui. So did Nokama, since the Pit waters were outside of the robot.

In the Exile's tale, Malum is shown carrying a Cordak blaster. How did he manage to get one of these?76. Can someone with a kanohi Rode, such as Axonn, see through a Baterra's disguise?
8Thanks for taking your time to answer all of our questions!

9Buried

101) The story is frozen where we left off.

112) GBs don't have powers. They have tech.

123) He is wearing a non-powered mask.

134) No

145) Not sure what you are referring to.

156) Yes

2No

1 Hi again Mr. Farshtey! Wanting to know do you and the Hageman brothers have any plans to turn Cole back into a human since he is now a ghost???

122. Plasma in Bionicle is Super-Heated Gas. It's not really the same as in real life.

newzgooat wrote:1Hi again Mr. Farshtey! Wanting to know do you and the Hageman brothers have any plans to turn Cole back into a human since he is now a ghost???

2No idea. I don't have anything to do with the overall story of Ninjago.

1 1. The Kanohi Olmak (brutaka's mask) is capable of opening portals to other places including alternate universes and dimensions. Can a user open a portal to the Hero Factory Universe or Ninjago if they wanted to?22. Do the Maxilos robots wear a mask, a helmet, or is that their face?32b) Same with Hydraxon43. The body the Mask of Life made for Mata Nui on Bara magna was described as being the same height as a toa. In the online E-book, "Journey's End", Mata Nui states that he's 7 feet tall, and it makes him feel short. Does this mean that all toa are around 7 feet tall?53b) In the Legend Reborn, Mata Nui was about the same height as Kiina and Ackar. Does this mean that the Glatoriaan are also around 7 feet tall?64. Dan Hageman posted on Twitter a picture of a LEGO pirate Flag that was labeled "Teaser for the next season of NInjago" He also stated that there are clues to the next season embedded in the Ghost Season. Does this mean that Ninjago 2016 will have pirates for villains?

5Real-life plasma is also super-heated gas...but I think Greg's answer on psychometry answers the question about plasma, too.  It would probably be very difficult for a Toa of Plasma to create a force field via his element...

6Thanks to everyone who contributed to the discussion!

1How does Karzahni (the plant, not the nutcase) talk with out a mouth?

1A thought occurs

2If Sahmad had dreamed of a world without dreams, and then had this become reality, how was he able to dream up another dimension for Annona?

1Hi Greg,

2it has been said that Zyglak are immune to elemental powers, so, for example, a Toa of Fire cannot harm it with fire. But what would happen if, let's say, a Toa of Stone created a giant rock and threw it down on Zyglak's head? Would the Zyglak be unharmed or, as any other normal being, dead?

1I have a few questions.

21. Is Dume native to Metru Nui? I thought I read somewhere he was.

32. Teridax kept a few Makuta alive to create Kraata because he couldn't do it in the robot. How long did he keep them alive?

41) I can't recall us ever writing anything saying that he was.

52) Well, they would still have been alive when he went to Bara Magna, but I doubt they survived his death.

61. He is. You canonized that at some point in this thread.

72. This is first time I hear of this. Back when the story was still going, you were very clear on Teridax and Miserix being the only Makuta left during Teridax's reign. Teridax had killed every other Makuta because he considered them a danger to his reign. Did you change this recently, or did you just assume it was canon because the person who asked the question presented it as a fact?

81. pretty sure he was stated to come from another land... also we know that metru nui had no toa for most of its history.

92. this is also the first i've heard of this... but apparently it was stated somewhere in makuta's guide to the universe?

101. Well, if you find any official source stating that he isn't from Metru Nui, let us know. Greg originally canonized (on request) that both Lhikan and Dume were originally from Metru Nui, but it was stated in the story several times that Lhikan actually was not from Metru Nui, and since pre-established canon takes precedence, Greg reverted Lhikan's origin back to "unknown" when I told him about this. I'm not aware of any information about Dume's origin, though, so I did not contest this.

11But note that this is about Dume's origin - he was a Matoran at that time, not a Toa.

122. Well, I skimmed through the book and could not find anything like this. But it's a large book, I could have missed it. So I hope Greg can clear this up...
