1Greg, I have a question.

2Is it possible for a Rahkshi to operate without a Kraata in its shell?

3No

4It could be possesed by Matoro using his Kanohi Iden or by a Makuta, but then it wouldn't operate on its own but instead be controled by other consciousnesses (oh boy, that's a long word).

5A Makuta, quite probably, but I don't think an Iden user. I am pretty sure you cannot use an Iden to possess an inanimate object. Rahkshi are not built to be run by AI the way Toa, Matoran, etc. are, so a possessing AI would have nothing to work with.

6From BS01, "While released, their spirit can move at great speeds and inhabit other living, spiritless bodies or self-powered robots." But like you said the Rahkshi was probably built to be controlled by Kraata. In fact, would it be safe to assume that the Kraata even power them, which would make it impossible for a wearer of an Iden to possess it.

7Right. Rahkshi are not self-powered nor are they robots, they are just suits of armor.

2I actually meant 2006-2007. The Three Virtues logo was in 2003 though. However, I wanted to ask you, if you know, why the Bionicle logo looked the way it did, prior the invention of the Virtues? Now, about Nixie's chart. I don't know if you've ever seen it, but it's a really cool coincidence that it has three celestial bodies. The middle "planet" on the chart is the bigger one, however it is referred to in the chart as being where Mata Nui is located. I just thought, it would be cool to canonize it as a chart of the Solis Magna system. I assume you're able to see Bota Magna and Bara Magna in the Aqua Magna sky at times, correct? Now, I know this whole idea is a bit silly, but I have a good explanation, I think. People often hold their own countries in high regard, and on world maps enlarge them, making them larger than lands that are supposed to be bigger than it. That might explain why Nixie has drawn their celestial body as the bigger one. Or it could be like a close-up on Aqua Magna. I know it didn't mean anything originally, since it was in the MNOG and the planet system wasn't made up until later, but it is cool to think that it might actually be the Solis Magna System. What do you think? Safe to canonize, or not?

31) No. I don't. Logo design was not my dept

42) I am not familiar with Nixie's chart, and I doubt it would make sense to canonize something as the Solis Magna system when that is clearly not what it was ever intended to be and no one was paying attention it when we devised Spherus Magna.

5Maybe you weren't, but a lot of fans seems to have. It even made its way into the trivia of Nixie's page on the Bionicle Wiki, though not on BS01. I had to tell the people at the Bionicle Wiki that it wasn't canon though. I still believe it makes sense to canonize though, just like you canonized the fact that the moon-like thing seen in one panel of a comic was a piece of Aqua Magna that had broken off and begun orbiting the planet.

6This got buried.

1Can Skakdi use Kanohi? Or is it only Vezon because he wore the Ignika for a time?

5By your theory, though, that would imply that the Solis Magna system only had one planet -- Spherus Magna, which then broke into three pieces. I don't think I want to canonize that the entire solar system consisted of one planet originally.

1Hi Greg.

2Since this is the only way I found that I could contact you, I figured I'd leave a quick post here with a question or two; I haven't visited this site in nearly 10 years...

3Firstly, thank you so much for everything you've done for Bionicle fans. Not only did you provide us a detailed, expansive and engaging lore that dominated my childhood until the age of 11 (I'm now 18 and still interested in the story), but you were also an active member of the community. I've been a member of the online Bionicle community on BZPower and BS01 since 2005, though not very active, and have been a fan since the very beginning in 2001, and I remember feeling incredibly grateful that you took time out of your schedule to answer questions from the fans, and still do to this day, albiet in a different medium. You provided me with almost the entirety of the entertainment I had from the ages of 4 till 10, and a large amount beyond that. I can't thank you enough.

4One thing I'm not exactly clear on in the story however, is how many inhabitants of the Matoran Universe knew that they were inside Mata Nui's robot body, and who? Was it just the OoMN, or were there more?

5And finally, I read somewhere that your favorite style of music is Jazz. I myself am a Jazz Guitarist studying at music college. I was wondering what specific styles and artists/composers are you in to?

6Thanks for your time Smile

1Hey Greg!

2How long do Kraata take to go from one stage to the next? Days, weeks, mere hours...?

1Hey Greg, what were some objects in the Bionicle universe that could erase a being's memory?

1 If Makuta have the ability to teleport, how come Antroz, Chirox, and Vamprah didn't do so to escape the energy storms?

2All the Makuta (save Icarax) lost a majority of their powers through mutation. So that's one reason. Another is that the Karda Nui shields prevented teleportation. Nothing in or out that way.

1Bitil, Krika, and Gorast were the only ones who were mutated. Antroz, Chirox, Mutan, and Vamprah weren't mutated.

6I know it probably don't have one planet, just that it might be the only one the people of Spherus Magna and the Matoran knew of, without very powerful telescopes and means of sending probes into space. For all we know, those three planets could be their whole universe.

1I have a few questions.

2First, you keep saying that you have no involment in Gen 2. If that's the case, who does one ask about Gen 2?

3Second, regarding the Shadowed One's name, if the fan base didn't go nuts over Teridax, how did you plan to release the name? Through someone saying it in the story, or some other way? Well, if you were. If you didn't have plans, please disregard that question.

4Third, if Velika from "The Kingdom" didn't have a Great Being residing in him, who was the Great Being in?

5And finally, when it comes to information about Gen 1, do you come up with answers because of questions, or are some of the answers things you've thought about and answered? Also, do random ideas/revelations about Gen 1 just pop in your head from time to time nowadays?

6Thanks for reading and/or answering.

2Bitil, Krika and Gorast did indeed lose mst of their powers, granted. I misremembered. So they couldn't Teleport. And for the others (Mutran, Icarax, Chirox and Vamprah) couldn't Teleport due to the shielding. I think Artakha said he could Teleport them in, but not out.

71) I am not aware of anyone from the Gen2 team on the LMBs answering questions. But if someone is monitoring the boards, they will be looking in the BIONICLE topic, not here.

82) It would have been mentioned in a book. Since he wasn't an official set, it couldn't have been done in a comic.

93) It would probably have turned out to be one of the Matoran from MNOG.

104) I am basically responding to question. Old BIONICLE is not front of mind for me these days, since I am on to other things. Back when it was active, I was thinking about it all the time, but no real reason to do so now.

2Only thing that immediately springs to mind is the pods the Matoran were in.
