1Hello Mr. Farshtey,

2I just had a couple questions regarding your working relationships while working on Bionicle.

31) Who are some of the other developers of the story? I know that you are one of the more public ones, but I'm curious who else helped with that process.

42) Since you were more or less in charge of actually writing the story and Christian Faber was a primary developer of the aesthetic of the Bionicle universe, how closely did the two of you work? Was it an every day correspondence or was it more of a resource dump every once in awhile?

53) If you and Mr. Faber did work together closely, do the two of you still stay in touch, even though you both have moved on to new projects?

6As always, thank you for all your hard work in talking to fans and bringing the Bionicle universe to life.

1Hello, Mr. Farshtey!  I hope you're doing well!  I have a few questions for you to consider:

  1. 2Were the Skrall aware that the Baterra were creations of the Great Beings? Was anyone on Spherus Magna aware of this?
  2. 3Since the Earth Tribe on Bota Magna did not participate in the Core War due to their pacifistic nature, is it safe to assume that their Element Lord was similarly pacifist, since he/she was not mentioned as fighting in the war, and would have had no army anyway? If so, would the Element Lord still rule over the tribe?
  3. 4I know you planned on including a Great Being civil war in the later story, which Takanuva would be a part of—did you have an idea about what the cause of the war would be? What would the GBs be fighting over?
  4. 5Does the Adaptive Armor worn by the Toa Nuva have any kind of manual control, where you can shift between forms at will, or is it totally automatic?
  5. 6Let’s say somehow Kopaka, Pohatu, and everyone else managed to get off the RS. Since the Kestora weren’t affected by Velika’s meddling, will they shut down after everyone is gone, given that this would technically “complete their mission?”

7Thank you again for answering all of our questions!

1Hello Mr Greg

21. The sphere zamor that Hakann and Thok had used to steal Brutaka's raw energy could steal the energy of a Makuta? If no, why?

32.  One of my friends told me that the powers of the Ignika have a universal scope. And telepathy of Tren Krom has a planetary scope. Is it true? Personally, I think not, but I could be wrong.

43. When the Golden Skinned Being told to Sahmad "You will hear from me again" What does that mean? Is that a kind of warning to say he will soon try to conquer Spherus Magna or something else?

71) The story team consisted of the web producer (first Leah Weston, later Kelly McKiernan), the lead set designer, myself, the marketing lead, and representatives from Advance.

82) Neither, really. The main story existed in the story bible that I worked from, and that included concept art Advance had done. Beyond that, I had to reference the models, of course. But for the most part, our work together was in story team meetings. One of us would throw out an idea, then someone else built on it, and someone else built on that, so there was no one person responsible for story. It was a team effort.

93) No. I haven't seen or spoken to him in years, actually. The only people from the old story teams I am in regular touch with are Leah and Kelly. Some of the other people are on the story team for the new BIONICLE, but since I am not involved in that, I don't see them.

1Greg. Does the new bionicle take place in the same universe. Thank you."

2My understanding is that new BIONICLE is a reboot of the franchise. Beyond that, I am not involved in it and so can't answer questions about it. What relation it has, if any, to original BIONICLE is something people on that team would need to answer.

1Hello!

2I would just like to thank you for answering the questions of those of us over at the BIONICLE Roleplay.  You have played a very important role in resolving a great many of the disputes there...  Let's just say that without you, things would not have gone quite as smoothly!

1Mr. Farshtey,

2How did you come to work at LEGO? Did you ask for the job, or did they ask you to come and work for LEGO? Also, who do you think would win in a fight, the Toa Nuva, or the Toa Mahri?

1This has probably been asked before, but "what is your favourite star wars movie"

2Mine is The Force Awakens

3Please note: spoiler from Force Awakens ahead, only read if you've seen movie
4It was sad when Han Solo died! Sad

2Hi Mr.Farshtey,
32) Makuta powers such as Heat/Cold Resistence or Limited Invulnerability have to be activated consciously or they just remain active passively?

41) Do you have find something about this?

51) Yes, they are always on.

61) Is that the same for the Makuta power of adaptation?

7Buried

31) I answered an ad on an online job site.

42) I never predict winners in fights. Too many variables.

5I don't really have one. While I am looking forward to Rogue One, which looks pretty cool, I have never been a big Star Wars fan. I saw the first movie as a kid but didn't see Empire or Return until I was working at West End.
