Originally posted by Toa Master Chief:1 Disousa, I think I can answer this one. Takua would possibly be turned into a Toa of Fire. All Matoran become a Toa of their specific element.
2Takua isn't a matoran of fire though. He's a matoran of light.
#1297
1Yes, I know that. But he asked if Takua was a Matoran of Fire, what Toa would be become? He would then be a Toa of Fire, if he was destinied for it.
#1298
1We have no reason at this point to believe that the Mask of Light would have transformed him into a Toa at all were he not a Matoran of Light. So at this point, there is no evidence anything would have happened if he were a Matoran of Fire.
2Re: C.A. Hapka -- Cathy Hapka is a professional freelancer with a long list of books to her credit who was retained by Scholastic to do the first few books. After a year working on BIONICLE, she decided to move on to other projects.
3Re: Hakann's escape -- All he had to do was stun the Toa who captured him with a mental blast and make a break for it.
43_V -- 1) If I didn't like my job, I would quit and go do something else, because I would be shortchanging you guys if I was doing work that wasn't good because I didn't enjoy doing it. 2) Kopaka has always been my favorite. 3) I can't discuss future storyline plans. 4) Twice as much profit to be made, plus she guarantees she will be on the winning side no matter which one it is.

1Greg, Ren just stated that you confirmed pridak's red stuff is blood, Is this true??
#1300
1TNK, this is what I have stated:
2I was told in July by a set designer that he had suggested putting something resembling blood around Pridak's jaws. He said nothing about the substance on his tools being blood, so it is quite possible that is not what that is intended to be. I had no involvement in set design, set approval, violence policy discussions, etc., so I have no other info beyond this to offer.

1Thank you. And also, I got BL#5 Yesterday, read it, and I have a question, but it regards a spoiler. Should I post the question here, or PM it to you?
#1302
1Please PM, TNK, I don't want book spoilers public yet.

1Thanks, Greg, I just PMed you.

1Greg, will the Barraki have an electric piece?
#1305
1No, Borahkshi - Since they are underwater beings, there would be some risk that younger builders might put them in water, so putting an electric piece in would have been a bad idea.

#1306
1(laughs because he (I) was stupid enough to put Vezok in water)
2Why was Hakkan searing hot at the end of BL4, yet in BI5 they were already fighting Vezon? What did I miss?

1They fight Irnakk at the start of BL 5.

1You dared oppose your brothers!
2Can you explain that Bahrag quote?
3Thanks,4-Rabin
#1309
1Greg, do you have any control over the set development? Is your opinion important?
2Also, do creatures in Bionicle grow older?3(Ie, Did The Shadowed One's sudden aging have any actual effect physically?)
4Thanks.
#1310
1Rabin -- Basically, both the Toa and the Bohrok have a place in Mata Nui's plan for the universe. So the Bahrag were outraged that the Toa were interfering with beings with whom they shared a bond of duty.
2Maduk -- 1) Simple answer is no. Most of the input to set design comes from the marketing people, not the story people. 2) BIONICLE beings do age, just have much longer lifespans than we do so they don't show it as much.
#1311
1Greg, is there actually a leader for the Order of Mata-Nui?
#1312
11.Will Botar play a part in 2007?
22.Any hints on whose is the Barraki leader?
33.Are there gonna be any new Matoran besides Dekar and Deflika in '07'?
44.Are the new Toa gonna be aquatic like the Barraki.
#1313
1Vash - I would assume so.
2Nidhiki -- 1) He shows up in a flashback in BL #6. 2) Nope. 3) It's possible. I think there are some other Matoran sets as part of a larger store exclusive set in the summer. 4) You'll find out when they come out.

1Recently, you stated that Artahka the place was created by the Great beings. However, you then said in the same post that Artahka and Karzahni the places were built by Matoran. Can you please clear this up?
#1315
1Sure, Vahiki. Let me give you an example - if you go to NYC and see the Trump Tower, people will tell you it was built by Donald Trump (because he paid for it and owns it). But he didn't do any of the actual work on the building -- he just ordered it built.
2Same thing here. The Great Beings commanded that Artakha be built, but they don't do actual labor of building structures, etc. That is what Matoran are for -- labor.

1Are Nhikiki and Krekka really dead?
#1317
1I can answer that.
2Yes. Its says so in the DH guide
#1318
1I have a similar question, what are the chances that Nidikhi and Kreeka survived, but are extremly weak, and hiding?
Last Edit: by Gabrhil, the Matoran Duelist
#1319
1Yes, Nidhiki and Krekka are dead. In order to keep his mind free from distraction, Makuta has to destroy the consciousness of anyone he absorbs. So the minds and spirits of both of them are dead.
#1320
1Um Greg, I don't really get it. In BL2 it said the Matoran knew the Toa Mata, but why then would they leave their original island to go to Mata Nui? Did a Great Being tell them to, or did they know they needed to protect the Mata Nui residents?
#1321
1Strazz -- If I understand your question correctly, the Toa Mata did not go to Mata Nui to protect the Matoran there. The Toa Mata's job is to awaken Mata Nui. So when Mata Nui went into a coma, they were automatically launched in Toa canisters. The canisters landed in the sea around the island of Mata Nui and malfunctioned, so that they floated out there for 1000 years before coming to shore. When they did get to shore, they found the island under attack by Makuta, so they had to respond and defend it. But protecting the Matoran was just a side mission -- their main goal and destiny is to awaken Mata Nui.
#1322
1Oh ok, thanks I didn't know what exactly they had to do. Thanks!
#1323
1Hi there.
2Why are the Toa Inika's control over elements better than the Toa Metru when they both first became Toa?
3And is the Toa that controls plant-life male?
#1324

2See!!! [Wink] [Razz]
#1325
1Vasili - 1) Simple. The Toa Inika had a good solid year as Matoran fighting alongside the Toa Mata and Toa Nuva and watching how they used their powers. The Toa Metru did not have that, because there were rarely any menaces in Metru Nui and so no reason for Lhikan and his team to use their powers.
22) Male. Says so in the book he appears.

2Greg said before that he was a Po-Matoran, and Shop@Home had incorrect information up. He has since had them correct it.

1ok, thx dude

1Shadrahk -- I am not discussing the new Toa yet, as they don't come into the storyline until summer '07.
2As for your book question -- there have been 5 novels this year. There are three scheduled for next year, none of which are out yet, plus the Atlas and the Encyclopedia Vol. 2
