1Wait, the Gravity colour poll's not done yet and there's already talks of a Magnetism colour poll ? I don't see why we can't base Magnetisms' coulours off of Jovan like we did with Krakua and Sonics.
1*onua nuva* fan, he's not being unclear. He never thought of those pieces as being Jovan. Those colors were inferred from the combiner model, and Greg said he wasn't sure that he'd use that model as a solid reference. It's like the Krakua deal - the model has a Hau, because the guy who made it didn't have a Suletu to work with. Jovan is gunmetal gray and black, because the set designers didn't have the right colors to work with. It's as simple as that.
2On a side note, I asked this because I was reviewing the elemental colors on BS01, and aside from Gravity, Magnetism is the only other one whose colors weren't clear.
3I'll send a follow-up PM to see if he had colors in mind, or if we should do a poll.

3Huh? Oy vey, I need to stop reading at 1:00 AM. I mixed your posts and Erebus' together and came up with something I can't even find anymore. I'm not even reading Greg's responce right anymore...*snore*
4I'll quit talking while I'm ahead...

1Since Jovan IS a Toa of Magnetism, and he is a set, it made sense to list the colors as Gunmetal Grey and Black. However, if Greg doesn't want to go by that, that's cool too; but we do need to find out one way or another.

2We have no reason to think he doesn't want to use it, just a hint that he either though it was flipped, or hadn't given it much thought.
1Thanks for the answers, Greg. Had a few follow-up questions in light of the new chapter being released.
21) The coin found by Berix is described to be forged from a metal mined to the north. Is this Exsidian from the White Quartz Mountains, or the Iron of the Iron Tribe in Bota Magna? 32) The main chamber Mata Nui descends into is an antechamber of the Great Volcano, yes?
4Also: 53) The Three Virtues symbol doubles a visual representation of the Shattering, yes? Seems like common knowledge by now, but for some reason, everyone to hesistant to state that. 64) Because chambers of the six different main Bara Magna elements exist in the Underground Lab of the GBs, could you canonize this as the site of the Element Lords' creation? Or will that be explained in Legends of Bara Magna? 75) We have never seen Dune Snakes represented visually, to my knowledge. Because Vastus' symbol is a snake, and they featured prominently on his helmet and shoulder armor, could these be considered modeled after the appearance of the Dune Snake?
8Thanks for your time.
9Triggy 10BS01 Staff
111) Would make more sense for it to be the WQ's, since it relates to something in northern Bara Magna 122) Yes 133) It's basically a map that shows the three pieces, yes 144) Legends of Bara Magna? Not sure what that refers to. Yes, it would make sense for that to be where they were created. 155) Yes
161) So to confirm, it's an Exsidian coin? 174) Sorry, I wasn't clear. I was wondering if the Element Lords' creation was going to be covered in the eighth Graphic Novel, the one detailing the Malum vs. Strakk arena match, Skrall fighting baterra and Core War stories. If so, I wouldn't want you to canonize my suggestion, if it has already been detailed in a different way somewhere else.
181) Yup 194) Their creation is never actually shown -- they are, but not how they were created, so it doesn't conflict with anything I don't believe.
20Of note: I linked Greg to specific images for #5, so he was making a more informed decision.
21Greg has already said multiple times that it WAS NOT a dune snake on Vastus's armour. Multiple times in fact. Hence the Talon snake. And now this.
22*sigh......................................................*
23It could all be in the way the question was asked. I didn't ask if it was an actual dune snake on Vastus' armor, just the visual inspiration for it. Perhaps Dune Snakes are much larger, and Greg didn't want to say that those were actual bodies on the armor
24Yes, I know. But up until this point Greg always said that Vastus's armour was not based off of the Dune Snakes. So, over time, I invented the Talon Snake, a medium sized venomous snake commonly found in Tesera. If has a powerful bite that can paralyze a full grown Glatorian in order to paralyze it's prey for consumption. As a natural self defense weapon the Talon Snake has a large Talon Like growth on the tip of it's tail, which is where it gets it's name from. Vastus extracts his venom from the Talon Snakes, which he uses in his spear. He models his armour after the Talon Snake and uses their venom in honor of one of Tesera's most common and deadly predators.
25Is the "Talon Snake"where you're talking about Canon?
26Greg approved it if that's what you mean.
27Okay, Why it isn't on BS01 Then?
1Why isn't what on BS01?
1Likely just hadn't been updated yet. If the poster has the source, it can be added.
1Okay Thanks
1Just wanted to confirm some things...
17My comments: 181) No Shadow/Light hand for White Terry, that surprised me. 192) Just curious. 203) Just something that popped up in my head. 214) I thought he did say so one time or another... 225) Thought I'd ask... 236) I figured that. 247) That too. Just a hypothetical.
21) Can Alt. Teridax still use a shadow hand, except maybe as some sort of a "hand of light", and if so, does it still absorb things or does it do something else?
32) Can his Kraata still reach the Shadow Kraata (7th) stage?
43) Since he has no shadow left, can he turn into pure light like Umbra, or is that Umbra-exclusive?
5Other questions:
64) The alternate shadow Takanuva's all still wear Avhokii's, right?
75) Can it be assumed that they all carry Staves of Light (Taka's first weapon, not the Stars weapons)?
86) Upon Tahu's devolution, did his Nuva Symbol vanish? Or is it still there, it's just that he is no longer tied to it?
97)If a Rahkshi of Heat Vision's staff is broken, as is depicted in a recent Mata Nui Saga entry, can the Rahkshi still access his power as long as he's holding it? Or does it have to be intact?
101) No 112) No 123) He cannot turn into pure light, anymore than a normal Makuta can turn into pure shadow 134) I don't think that has ever been said anywhere, to my knowledge. 145) Again, we have never identified them as carrying staves. 156) Still there, just not in use. 167) Has to be intact.

1QUOTE 2Hi Greg, I have a few questions for you to answer.
31. Just to confirm, are the snakes shown on Vastus's armor representations of a Dune Snake?
42. You have recently stated that the armor colors for Magnetism are NOT Gunmetal Gray and Black as previously believed (as shown on the Toa Jovan conbiner). 5a. Is this true? 6b. Is Gunmetal a correct armor color? 7c. Is Black a correct armor color? 8d. Are either of these secondary armor colors?
93. What became of the Rahi-Nui? Last time we checked it was still trapped in a canyon on Mata-Nui.
101) Yes 112) I believe Erebus is planning a poll for the colors 123) Oh, I am sure he is free by this time.
13I don't know if this helps...
1@#2. He never specifically said they weren't those colors. That was already wrong, and he'd said they were earlier before.
1Likely just hadn't been updated yet. If the poster has the source, it can be added.
2QUOTE 3QUOTE 4Hello Greg. As you probably assumed by the title, I only have one question.
5A while back you canonized that Vastus extract the venom for his weapon from a species of snake commonly found around Tesera. This is also the snake that Vastus models his armor after. This snake is also shown to have a talon-shaped growth on the tip of it's tail. 6In raid on Vulcanous Vastus is described as weilding a "Snake Venom Talon", however snakes do not actually have talons, but this snake has that talon shaped blade on it's tale, 7So would Talon-Snake be a good &reasonable name for this species of snake?
8Thank you so much, Redge the bat.
9And since it is my birdthday and I am feeling generous, take this evil bunny: 10(\_/) 11(O.o) 12(><)
13Sure
14OH SNAP . I have now created a species of snake commonly found in tessera called the talon snake. The talon snake has a large talon like blade on the tip of it's tail, as well as venom powerful enough to paralyze a full-grown Glatorian. The Glatorian called Vastus extracts venom from Talon snakes to use in his weapon.
15I owned .
16There's one of the quotes.
1GregF said if I liked, I could make a poll. I don't think I'll be doing that. 2"If you like -- to be perfectly honest, I really don't worry about the colors that much." 3We'll just persuade him that the primary and secondary colors for Magnetism are gunmetal gray and black, respectively. If a lot of members don't like that, then we might have to do something about that. It's really up to the members at this point, not GregF. He's just not worried about it.
1QUOTE 2QUOTE 3I know you must have a lot of questions flooding in, so i will try to keep this short.
41. If something happened to you, like your quite, or were fired, or something of the sort, who would replace your job?
52.Do you ever receive/build BIONICLE sets?
63. In tlr the skopio also has treads, did the great beings add on treads to this species, or was this just artistic licences?
74. How exactly is the mask of dimensional gates fused to Vezon, is it attached to his face like a mask, on the back of his skull like thi ignika was, or does he look the same and it is just the power of the mask that has been infused with him.
85. Sorry but i am a little confused, do new sapient species like Matoran and Vortixx come into being constantly in the mu, or are the people who started out there the only ones there?
96. Are the snakes from which Vastus extracts venom from rare, or are they a common animal for Tessera?
10Finally, I would like to right a thanks. You have taken a fairly simple and generic storyline for kids and turned it into an incredibly detailed and epic saga that all ages can enjoy. The world of BIONICLE is on of the most complex and realistic, not to mention dark, story lines in history, rivaling even the STAR WARS expanded universe . There are times when i think the potential for BIONICLE is restrained by LEGO, but these moments are far and few between. BIONICLE has hundreds of complex characters, locations, and things that almost always have back story and complete detail, that isn't needed at all but just gives us so much more and such a more realistic and powerful experience. You alway exceed expectations, and give fans what they want. 11Not only that, but you truly interact with your fans like no author i have ever seen before. You communicate with a large part of your fan base every day, and you answer questions, but you also let us add to the storyline. We have written canon stories, created masks, toa teams, several characters, explanations, as well as little details like the fact that Venom uses snake venom, or all sorts of other things. WE have also made pictures of characters, designed weapons, and done so much to the story. You have made us, your fan base, part of the story, and really put us into a world that you have created. 12Not only that, but your witting style is amazing. You still do write these books with 8 year olds in mind, so there will not be a lot of unnecessary descriptions, or length, or advanced vocabulary (even if I'm still not quite sure what Clairvoyance means.), nut you still manage to have stories that appeal to adults with dark turns and unsettling characters. Your witting is compelling and keeps one turning pages. That and a lot of BIONICLE is done in a god's eye view. With things like general explanations, and guides, alot of the story is told in an entierly different style of writing than normal stories which I really like . You have inspired all of my writing and i strive to improve and be more like you every day.
13Thank You, 14Redge the Bat.
151) Don't know. They might promote the senior writer in the job or they might look outside the company and recruit someone. 162) Yes 173) Yes, they did 184) Power has been infused into him 195) It is possible for new beings to come into existence within the Matoran universe, yes. We know that, for example, in Metru Nui, if the Turaga saw the need for more workers to do a project, more Matoran would be brought into being. 206) Common 217) Thank you, K. I have to agree with you that the potential for BIONICLE is enormous. It is tied to the toy line, so if the toy line were to go away, I'm not sure if there would be an official way to keep the story going. But I think a lot could be done with this story, even if someday there weren't toys.
22Here is the one saying that they are common. I think that alot of you remember this trend starter.
4You could have a poll to decide whether or not to have a poll.
11.in the crossing Tarduk mentions Scorpions-Giants in the caves. are these the giant scorpions in the background of the Skrall canisters or the skopio ones?
22. in the crossing they encounter dune snakes. are these the ones/related to the ones from which Vastus extracts the venom from and models his amour after?
3thanks a ton, 4Redge the Bat. 5_
61) You're going to have to give me the actual line from the story -- in a lot of cases, the translations are messed up and don't match what I originally wrote. 72) No
8Here is one of Greg saying that it IS NOT the dune snake the Vastus uses.
9That is all I can find right now.
1What are you talking about? Nobody said a poll about a poll, just one poll, which thankfully, we don't need.
1Talon-Snake, Dune Snake, I'm so confused .
1Probably old, but I might as well. =\
2Hi Greg, I just want to ask about something that's been on my mind lately.
31. Is Umbra one of a kind, or part of a species? 42. If he is, can they be other elements besides light? 53. Can they all "become" their element, or is that exclusive to Umbra?
6Umbra is one of a kind.
2Hi Greg, I just want to ask about something that's been on my mind lately.

1Hi Greg.
21. The Jovan combiner model is mostly gunmetal gray, with black armor and white limbs. For confirmation purposes, is gunmetal gray the primary color for Magnetism, and black is the secondary? 32. Since Odina was overrun by Rahkshi, has the Toa that was in stasis escaped? 42a. If so, is there a potential that he/she will be part of the team in the new Toa serial?
5Thank you for your time.
6~Lord Rahl~
71) I never thought of it that way, I thought of it as those were the pieces the designer had to work with. 82) No. Why would Rahkshi free a Toa?
91. So, are those the colors, or did you have others in mind? 102. I just figured they might have just trampled through and maybe cracked the stasis tube, is all...
11Thank you for your time.
12~Lord Rahl~
131) I generally don't have colors in mind, I think in words, not pictures. 142) Nope.
15So, that's pretty much proof that Greg doesn't care, either way. If it's a general consensus to keep Gumetal Gray and Black, then I guess that's what we do.
16Bummer on number two.
17~Lord Rahl~
1Dear Greg,
21. How exactly did the Ignika aid Mata Nui in controlling the prototype robot? Doesn't Mata Nui now how to control it himself? 32. Around how many worlds did Mata Nui explore? 43. Can a makuta use multiple abilities at once? 54. How do a makuta's elemental powers compare with a toa's? 65. Why did you say the agori can't create anymore?
7Thanks
81) Because the prototype IS a prototype -- that means it is different from the final product. The initial version of a computer game that testers work with does not play the same as the final version, so why would a complex robot built ages before the Mata Nui robot run the same? Remember, the prototype has no Matoran, and is not designed to have an intelligence running it the way the MN robot is. 92) Lots 103) Not that I have seen 114) Makuta have greater willpower, which means their elemental ability would probably be stronger 125) Because they can't. They have lost that ability. Name a new thing you have seen the Agori create, as opposed to just repair or patch together.
13I found #4 interesting.
1why fix what isn't broken?
1Sounds like they brought it on themselves with their civil war.
11) where are Click? in their nest near Vulcanus? or now is the shield of a Glatorian? (maybe Ackar or Kiina) 22) what you think about the Nektann's ability could be grow / shrink at will ( with a reasonable maximum and minimum) as the third power? That would be fun considering it is higher than an average Skakdi and his set is small 33) the Mata Nui's body "Glatorian" was ... reproductively functional? 44) I can ask you about the pictures of Mata Nui's Saga or that is field of Bink? 55) remember Bionicle Adventures 3... Vision Heat Rahkshi used their powers unarmed, but with the disadvantage of being partially blind ... What is the official version? I propose that they can use his powers unarmed, but without his staff are partially blind, with them they have no side effects... but it's just an idea 66) Gresh' swords are the same that his Jungle Shield... could be the same, but exidiana-covered? 77) Gresh continues to use its Thornax Launcher?
81) Jeft before Mata Nui took over the prototype robot, Click left to be with the other Glatorian. 92) I haven't thought about a special power for him yet, mainly because whatever it is, it won't show up in story at this point. 103) I don't get into discussing this. Since I am not doing a "Mata Nui has kids" story, it's not relevant. 114) Bink 125) The official version is what's current. At the time BA 3 was written, there was no way to know we would ever do sets of HV Rahkshi or that I would have to worry about them again. 136) No, they are new weapons. 147) When necessary, yes.
1Sounds like they brought it on themselves with their civil war.
2Well, they didn't start it, and they tried to stop it.
3Yep, one word, Baterra.
4Still, they didn't intend the Baterra to become unstoppable killing machines.
5They decided the best way to end the war would be to slaughter the soldiers on both sides by creating machines that mercilessly killed anyone they saw with a weapon, and were completely undetectable and practically unstoppable.
6I think the intent there is pretty obvious.
