3Im a junior in highschool right now so everyone is thinking what they are going to do when they grow up and i was just wondering what it takes to be on the story team. I think just being able to sit down with a couple of people and being able to make up a huge story like bionicle would be a fun job to have. I know you worked on the comic and magazine before but what about the other people how did lego choose who would be on team

5There actually is no "BIONICLE story team" job -- everyone on the team has other main jobs, and the story team is something extra. The story teams are the BIONICLE.com web producer, the franchise manager, the lead set designer, myself, and two of the people from our creative agency in Copenhagen.

I'm guessing you and the creative agency make up the basic story outline and the set desginers make the sets based on that outline and then you work the sets into the story
8Actually, everyone on the team contributes to the story -- we all do meet as a team, but only two, maybe three times a year at most. Once we have a bare bones outline, the set designers do their work, and then we create the characters based on the sets.
