1A few questions for you Greg.
21. Are the Nynrah Ghosts a group of Matoran of the same elemental type (as in made up of only one type of Matoran), or are they composed of a number of different kinds.
32. My cousin wouldn't stop bugging me until I asked you this question: Would a Toa of Radiation be possible?
43. I don't think you will be able to answer this, but I'll ask anyway. Is "Phantom" the OoMN's spy among the Dark Hunters?
54. Why would the other members of the BoM want Spiriah dead? If Spiriah was following orders when he altered the Skakdi than why would they put all of the blame on him? Though if he really was rouge, then I could understand why they'd blame him.
65. Would a Shadow Leech be able to control a Rahkshi like a Kraata, or did they lose that ability when they were mutated from Kraata?
76. Does Mata Nui have darkness in him as well as light (like most beings), or is he like Umbra, haveing no darkness inside of him? 86a. If it is the latter, would Mata Nui be killed if his light was drained?
97. Same questions for the Great Beings.
108. Would a Toa of Plant Life (or a Makuta/Rahkshi) be able to control sentient plants (like the Karzahni or Morbuzahk), or would they be to intelligent and powerful to control?
11Thanks.
121) No, most likely a mix 132) No, I would think radiation as being more a power than an element ... radiation is more like a side-effect of something else than a major element in its own right 143) I'm not revealing who the spy is on BZP 154) Because he failed at it. Teridax decided he was incompetent, and rather than face his execution like a Makuta, Spiriah fled. 165) No, shadow leeches cannot run Rahkshi 176) Yes, Mata Nui does have both. 187) I can't discuss the GBs 198) It would be much harder, but not impossible
201. Thought so.
212. As I suspected.
223. Eh, can't blame a guy for trying.
234. Oh, now it makes sense.
245. Thought so.
256. Interesting...
267. Ah well.
278. Cool.
1Takua is right. They were working on something. The Toa Mata were protecting them while they worked.
2
3I think the Av-Matoran were working on the Toa Mata Canisters when they were in the Core. U may be right, they could be working on something else that might still be in the swamp. Ready for a Makuta to use.....
1Nothing major, just a few question I had...The Faxon is probably my favorite mask now.
21[=-Midnighter-=]
2Hey Greg, I have a few questions, mostly regarding the Midak Skyblasters...
31) Does Toa Ignika have Toa Energy or Elemental Energy or anything similar?
42) You said a while back Matoran would count Kraata as Rahi... So could a Faxon wearer copy Kraata powers (albeit probably with less control/power)?
53) What would you call the ammo shot out of a Midak Skyblaster? Midaks?
64) Are the "Midaks" purely solid light without anything mixed in?
75) Are Midaks balloons? Do they hold Light in a thin layer of ____ (possibly protodermis) that bursts on contact at high speed (Much like a water balloon)?
8Thanks for your time Greg.
9[=-Midnighter-=]
101) It has the same power it had a mask, the raw power of Life 112) Interesting question. I'd have to think about it. 123) Although in the sets they look like missiles, in the story they are just shooting light. 134) Yes 145) No
151. So there's no limit to their power like in Toa and in Makuta? 163,4,5) So they shot out, beams of light in the story?
17Thank you, 18[=-Midnighter-=]
191) Toa and Makuta do have limits to their power, their own willpower. 203-5) Missiles of solid light
21[=-Midnighter-=]
1Ok, this clears an issue wich has beeen bothering me for a loooong time...
2Hi Greg, Sorry to bother you, hope you are fine
3In the Biosector01 wiki we are having some problems with the Icarax timeline...Are the events organised like this?: 4-Icarax retrieves the Krahkaan on the Silver Sea 5-He takes the Staff of Artahka on Xia 6-He beats the Toa Nuva on Karzahni 7-He comes to Mahri Nui to give the staff to Teridax 8-In his way to Metru Nui, he finds Botar and Trinuma and kills Botar 9-He goes to Metru Nui and releases his Shadow Leeches 10-He arrives in Destral and sits there until Vican arrives.
11Thanks for your time,
12Regards,

14Yes
1Am I the only one who noticed that Nidhiki and Krekka are more and more becoming main characters. I mean they have been mentioned in almost half of the DM serial. If Greg doesn't show them I'll be really surprised .
1Well since there aren't really any mysteries around them Greg probably won't waste the screen time on them.
1When was Krekka mentioned in the serial?
1He never was
1Well he said Krekka was still alive so people figured he'd be back.
1Nidhiki was pretty much the catalyst for this entire universe to have occured, but he's only been mentioned once or twice, so I think characters being expected to see will be radically different than character seen
1Dear Greg,
21. What is the difference between a mask of sonar and a mask of detection? 32. How in the world can the resistance team even hope to beat Tuyet? 43. Does Tuyet have a weakness? 54. When is Takanuva going to use his shadow powers? (please answer this one)
6Thanks .
71) Detection does not make use of sound waves to find something. It is keyed in only on the Mask of Life. 82) How could David hope to beat Goliath? How could the Rebels hope to defeat the Empire? How could Washington's army hope to defeat the British? 93) Can't answer it 104) I can't discuss future storyline
11) Did the Nynrah design the Cordak blasters?
21) I doubt it
3Didn't Hydraxon design them?
4What's there to control besides Av-Matoran devices?5Giant vehicles driven by Toa?
6<Yeah, but the Makuta didn't know that they would be up against those things.>
7~Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill
8How do you know? I think I might recall Greg saying that the vehicles were already there...
9And how do you know that there isn't any other machinery in the Swamp? I know for a fact that the Av-Matoran were working on something there...
10Didn't they only get vines from there?
11And just because the vehicles are there doesn't mean the Makuta know about them. 12
1Hey what do the Nynrah ghost blasters do again?
2Xia- Cordaks 3Nynrah- ghost blasters 4Artahka- adaprtive armor Midaks and ghost blasters
6good point Greg. Sometimes numbers and the fact someone is underestimated brings victory. 7ex. -David got Goliath square in the head for the kill 8-The rebels had good soldiers that kept on moving despite the emminent doom 9-Washington's army took advantage of the arrogance of his enemy, and the terrain (and the help of an ally [I didn't forget the French]) to ultimately corner Cornwalis (I think that is his name?)

1No, the Vortixx designed the Cordaks. 2And we are talking about earlier, when the Mata were in the core.
3
4The Vortixx produced the cordak; that's very different from designed. Hydraxon designed them, Xia manufactured them. 5Anyways, I find it interesting that he didn't answer about whether or not Tuyet has a weakness. Perhaps there's a limitation to her power that we don't know about?
6 Master of the Rahkshi
1Some complex questions about Unity, Duty and Destiny:
21) The Bionicle Chronicles series as well as Mask of Light start with the "In the time before time...." introduction, when the basic story about good and evil during the 1000 years of Darkness gets explained. There its says : "We were seperate and without purpose, so the Great Spirit blessed us with three virtures: unity, duy, and desiny." 3I know this introduction was told by Vakama and the Turaga so the Matoran would not ask questions where they came from and why they live on a tropical island, but how much truth does this introduction contain? 41) I think there is some truth to it, in that initially, the Matoran were working toward a very clear goal, but once that was achieved, it was probably harder to keep them focused on the work they had to do and why they had to do it. And so Mata Nui in some way imparted to them the concepts of unity and duty and destiny, which became their core beliefs and kept them working.
5a) The concept of Unity, Duty and Destiny was already present before the Matoran lived on Mata Nui, so it is not an invention of the Turaga to keep the Matoran's moral up and give them hope. So how old is the Principle of the three virtues? Was it introduced with the coming of Mata Nui? 61a) Yes
7b )Did the Matoran really lack purpose before the coming of Mata Nui during the time Tren Krom watched over the universe? 81b) I would say it was in the period after TK was done, when MN had just taken over.
9c) If "yes" to b )than does that mean the Matoran essentially "live for Mata Nui", though Mata Nui also depends on the work of the Matoran? 101c) I don't think so, no. They live to keep the universe running. Think of it like this -- you have a bunch of people building a house. It's a very clear, easy to understand goal -- the house is either built or it's not, right? But once they have finished building it, it's harder to make them understand that they have to keep working every day to maintain it. And that is what the concept of the three virtues helped them to do.
112) Mata Nui and probably the entire universe would not do very well if the Matoran were again "without purpose", right? 122) If the Matoran don't work, it's a bad thing, we saw that during the Great Disruption.
133) Now we have seen some cases when things that are either results of physics or that have a spritual background in our universe to have a "materialized origin" in Bionicle (Mata Nui guarantees gravity and heat for example). Is this also the case for the three virtues? Obviously there is more to the three virtues than just Matoran being told to follow them so their society works. 143) No, I don't see those as a result of the three virtues, although I may be misunderstanding your question.
15a) You said the concept of Masks of Power would be integral to 2009 (and beyond?). So when I am talking about the "materialized origin" I am particularly thinking about Kanohi. So are there Great Masks of Unity, Duty and Destiny that provide the three virtues for the Matoran universe ever since Mata Nui was sent to guard it? 163a) No, there are not.
174) Now something different. I read yesterday in OGD that you answered a question concerning how the Order knew Krakua was destined to become a Toa. You said the Order knew it out of the same reason they knew Jaller was destined to become one - by reading the stars. 18First I thought you meant Vakama and not Jaller (since the Order changed the stars to make Teridax believe Nuhrii and Co were the destined Toa Metru). So did the Order just read Jallers destiny in the stars or were they also involved in the process of Jaller becoming a Toa? 194) Yes, I did mistype there.
20So Mata Nui really introduced the concept of Unity Duty and Destiny to the Matoran and ever since Mata Nui and the universe depends on the Matoran respecting this concept. Before, when Tren Krom took care of the universe this was not necessary since his live was not dependent on the working of the Matoran.
21However my idea for 2009-2011 with the retrieval of the legendary Masks of the three virtues was wrong

1Hi Greg
2Some questions: 31- Which Makuta created the virus that was used on Mata Nui?
42- What other species live on the Nynrah island?
53- Why didn't the Makuta start earlier wth producing shadow Matoran/Toa? They had the Avsa.
64- Are the tools of Mutran and the other Makuta also made of Protosteel?
7All for now
81) Teridax 92) Hasn't been revealed 103) Why bother? They didn't need them. The original point was for the Matoran to honor and worship the Makuta by choice, not to just turn all of them corrupt so that they had to. 114) I would have to go back and check what I have said on this before, because I don't recall.
1I read on the previous page about Rayg's story, which was accepted into official canon. From what I recall, the contest theme was to explain how Bohrok could be running around in one of the video games when the Bohrok Queens still lay dormant.
1Hello Greg. I have six questions for you.
21. In DM 6, a Toa Naho was mentioned. I know this is you taking a member's suggestion. Now answer this: will anymore of Lhikan's teamate's names be revealed?
32. Would it be possible to compare the Matoran universe to a regular universe? By that I mean, comparing the domes to galaxies, the islands to planets, and the entire dome-verse of the BIONICLE planet to the universe.
43. You said that if we we're ever going to see Mata Nui's physical form, it would most likely be in CGI. If we were to see Mata Nui, it would be something quick, like an eye opening at the end of the movie to show his awakening, right?
54. Does the Blade Burrower map have anything to do with Mata Nui's location?
65. Now that the Ignika has been ripped off the back of his head, does Vezon look any different?
76. Just to clarify, is Ignika a combination of the words Ignition and Inika?
8Thank you for your time.
91) If the story requires it, yes. If not, no, I'm not going to just throw a laundry list of names in for no reason. 102) Well, you can make any comparison you like, that doesn't mean it's accurate. 113) I can't give you these kinds of specifics. 124) No, it does not 135) Yes, he looks like he no longer has a mask on the back of his head 146) No.
15Nothing new.

1QUOTE 2QUOTE 3QUOTE 4Hello Greg, sorry to bother but I have a couple questions about EP that have been bugging me.
51) I remember that if you are not destined to be transformed by Energized proto then you die, but how does EP know if you are destined to transform?
62) Is it possible that some rahi are destined to die by EP? ex. Four muaka are destined to be evolved by EP and seven are destined to die to control population
7-Draco
81) You can't really say it "knows" because it's not conscious ... it simply reacts. 92) How you die is part of your destiny, yes
10Some follow up Questions hope you don't mind.
111) Would you say there is a special chemical in those that are destined to evolve, or would you say it's "magic"?
12and others that are unrelated:
131) Will the OoMN - BoM war serial focus on the OoMN? 141a) Bom? 151b) Will it alternate? 161c) Other?
172) I saw in a question someone asked, info on the Nynrah Ghost Blasters, where'd they get this info?
18Thank you for your time.

201) Neither, it's simply destiny.
211) I haven't decided yet 222) Probably from just wandering around BZP. Nothing has been printed in the magazine, etc., abotu these yet, it's all just stuff people are picking up here.

18Xeno, you just said shapeshifting in your question, not protosteel. One needs to be a bit more specific about these things.
19EDIT: Also, if they couldn't shapeshift because they had rusted, then they wouldn't be able to move, either.
1Krahka can be locked too? That's interesting.
1Hi, 2Just some things I asked GregF:
24About three, that's my bad, but can anyone tell me the difference?
25LtoF
3Hi GregF, 4Hope I'm not bottering you, but here are some things that have been bugging me for a while:
51) The Matoran that came from Metru Nui and went to Mata Nui in their Pods, did they loose their memory and their strangth (why they were smaller on Mata Nui) in the pods or some time after they went out of them?
62) If Tahu Nuva Mistika would start to climb a wall, would his armor adapt to it, so that he can climb easier? 72a) and when he's, let's say, 100 metres high, and jumps off, would his armor adapt to flight?
83) What exactly can a Toa of Plasm control (I know it's plasm, but what is 'plasm' in the Bionicle world)
94) Someone in the OGD asked you if a faxon could copy a kraatas power, since matoran classify them as rahi, and you said you had to think about that. Now I was wondering, have you thought about it, ot haven't you had time? 104a) Since matoran classify the Bahrag as rahi too, could the faxon copy their power too?
115) Have you written/started on FoF 8 yet?
126) Is it possible for more Av-matoran to be hidden all over the Matoran universe, like Takua?
137) Have you already revealed how someone/something can reverse the effect of a Shadow Leech?
14I hope you can answer them all, have a nice day further
15LtoF
161) The process began as a result of the pods, but it did not occur until after they were out foir a while, which is why they didn't look short when they first came out. 172) I tend to doubt it. It adapts to your environment, not your individual task 182a) Yes 193) Plasma, not Plasm 204) Too many PMs, so haven't had time to think about it 215) No 226) Yes 237) No
24About three, that's my bad, but can anyone tell me the difference?
25LtoF
11. Does Teridax need the other Makuta too complete the final stage of the Plan?
22. Is Teridax still in the Matoran universe?
33. Will we ever learn what Kanohi the Av-Matoran sets wear?
44a. Will you ever reveal The Shadowed One's name? 54b. If no, is that because you want to have some mystery around him?
65. And a non-Bionicle question, how did you become the Chief Editor for the Lego Magazine?
7Thank you for your time.
81-2) Can't discuss it 93) Doubt it, no need to reveal it in story since it's not relevant. 104a) Actually, it has more to do with the fact that when I revealed Teridax's, BZP had a fit and acted like I had just destroyed BIONICLE for all time, so why would I want to go through that again? And this after I polled BZP before I even decided to reveal his name. 115) I was hired as LEGO Club Writer for the magazine in 2000. 1Dear Greg,
21. Did Artakha make the vehicles in SoS? 32. Did the mistika makuta know they were going to be locked into their forms? 43. If the OoMN was responsible for making Krakua a toa, why wasn't the DM OoMN responsible for making DM Krakua a toa? 54. Does Mata Nui know that he is on a planet? 65. How does Tuyet feel overconfident in DM?
7Thanks .
81) Yes 92) No 103) Because destiny was different in the DM universe, in the same way Takua was not destined to become a Toa there. Krakua was made a Toa in our universe because of the threat of the BOM -- in the DM universe, the BOM is not a threat. 114) Yes -- where else would he be? 125) How? I don't understand your question
1Hi again, Greg. Lately, I've been pondering some interesting scenarios in the Bionicle universe, and I thought I'd ask you about them.
21. Recently, I've really been fascinated with the Order of Mata Nui and their... unusual way of thinking. I mean, they kill off members of their OWN organization to keep Artahka a secret, but they prevent Teridax from killing the Barraki, instead locking them up in the Pit, which allows them to escape millennia later. I'm wondering: what would you say is the OoMM's justification for this unusual system of governing?
32. I've noticed some interesting contradictions in the Shadowed One's thinking. One second he's bragging about how he teaches his dark hunters to smite honor, and the next second he's complaining about how certain customers lack honor (as they refused to pay up). Am I right in thinking that TSO constantly holds a double standard on everything?
43. In the bionicle universe, we've discovered that several races have been supposedly "shunned" by Mata Nui, including the Zyglak and TSO's race. I'm wondering: why does this happen? Why would Mata Nui create a race only to shun it? Or does Mata Nui not even know what he is doing, since we've established that he often does not understand what is going on in the universe except as a general statement?
54. In Bionicle Legends 8, Nuparu uses his "aqua blaster blade." I remember you said that this weapon was in a prototype version of Nuparu Mahri's set and was taken out, so I'm wondering why you chose to use it in the book. Did you do this because you had assumed that the blade would be on the kit, and the decision to take it out was spur of the moment?
65. You've said that the summer Makuta all have at least one additional power. But you've also established that they still have mask powers, or at least used to. When you said that they had at least one additional power, were you referring to the mask powers, or other new powers that they can also use?
76. Could you give me any tips on what the additional powers of the summer makuta are, if they do have any?
87. About Maezeka – we know he's a matoran, but is he: 9a. A shadow Matoran 10b. A Matoran of Light 11c. A Matoran of a normal element 12d. Can't answer that
138. About Pohatu's drills/propellers – in the storyline, does he hold them, are they attached to his arms, or are they permanently fused to his arms and are extensions of them?
149. This has been bothering me ever since I got Bionicle Legends 9: where exactly does the comic fit into the storyline? I mean, it seems to have a totally different storyline then the book – Chirox doesn't use his shadow hand, Pohatu fights someone different, only Lewa escapes unharmed – etc. Is the comic just a retelling of one of the unmentioned battles in Bionicle Legends 8?
15Thanks for your time, Greg, as always. I especially look forward to getting your opinion on the first three questions.
16~~END~~
171) Simple. The knowledge of Artakha had to be prevented from ever leaking out, and dead men tell no tales. The Barraki had no knowledge that was any danger to anyone, so there was no reason to execute them. Suppose the OOMN had use for them down the road? Just killing them would have been wasteful.
182) Absolutely, as do many great villains.
193) You are forgetting that Mata Nui did not create the Zyglak - the Great Beings did, by accident, and they shunned them long before MN was in the picture.
204) Yes. The set pics I work from are usually prototypes, because the books have to be written so far in advance.
215) I was not referring to mask powers
226) No
237) He's not an Av-Matoran or a shadow Matoran, but since I have yet to see the set, I can't say what element he is affiliated with.
248) He holds them
259) Yes. If I just repeat the book in the comic, then why should anyone bother to buy the books?
26~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
27Probably nothing new - just some answers to some nagging questions I had but couldn't solve.

1Some disappointing stuff:
30I do have a knack to get Greg to say no to most of my questions.

2Sir:
3I like to ask you a few questions:
41. Is it possible that we might see the creation of Voporak in the Mutran Chronicles? 52. Due to exposure of the Pit Mutagen, is Zaktan "cured" of his protodite conditon or does his protodies get mutated and breathe water? 63. Is Lesovikk going to be a web serial character only? 74. Did the Order of Mata Nui create a few Rahi? 85. Since there are Protosteel Kanohi, is there Protosteel Kanoka? 96. Is Protosteel Pit Mutagen-proof? 107. A list of possible Kanoka combinations for Kanohi Masks: 117a. Reconstitutes at Random + Enlarge + Teleport + Regeneration -> Olmak 127b. Weaken + Removes Poison -> Rode 137c. Teleport + Shrink + Weaken + Removes Poison -> Suletu 14Are they correct? 158. Is Artakha the only known being who knows to make/manufacture Protosteel by artificial means? 169. If a Toa of Lightning unleashes a Nova Blast, would it keep a city running for years? 1710. If a Toa of Shadow would cause a Nova Blast, how much of a planet would be shrouded in darkness?
18Thanks for your time.
19-Tomdroidser
201) Unlikely, I doubt there will be room. 212) His protodites are mutated 223) Yes. He never shows up in Karda Nui, so he can't be in comics or books. 234) No 245) Unlikely. I doubt disks were used to make those masks. 256) No 267) There may not be Kanoka combinations for those masks, as they were not made in Metru Nui, so most likely were not made using the disk method 278) Far as we know, yes 289) Depends, how do you know the cities run on electrical power? What if they run on something else entirely? 2910) Not that much, the range of a nova blast is about the size of a city, not a planet
30I do have a knack to get Greg to say no to most of my questions.
31-Tomdroidser
1So a Nova Blast would be similar to a nuclear bomb, eh?
11. How do I become a set designer?
22. How do I publish a book?
33. Are there politics in BIONICLE?
44. In DM can Tuyet's murder of the Matoran be used as a scandal?
55. What does the Dark Hunters want with Metru Nui?
66. Why Mata Nui does not pay much attention to the universe's society?
71) LEGO set designers usually have an art or architecture or design background, and are all based in Denmark. 82) First you have to write one; then you have to find an agent who will sell it for you to a publisher. 93) Not that we have seen. There's no indication Matoran have elections. 104) Pretty much the only person who would be able to use that against her is Nidhiki, as he is the only one living who knows about it. 115) Metru Nui is a vital place in the universe -- consider the fact that repopulating it was key to waking up Mata Nui. 126) Basically, for the same reason that you might focus on what you have to do everyday, but you don't pay attention to, say, ants or mice in your house. You have more important things to worry about.
1hello greg farshtey i have a few questions.
21. a friend of mine on bzpower told me to ask you this: since the barraki got mutated and so did lesovikk and sarda. why arent lesovikk and sarda horribly mutated monsters? do they have a immunity?
32. i guess your pretty tired of people on bzpower judging sets eh? well you know its quite normal right? cos when the sets come out they all love them. lots of people have gotten used to the teridax name. people even found a use for gali to be a sniper with a dangerous beam of water. tell me your thoughts about this.
43. well if someone looked at a toa's spirit star about their destiny. could the toa's destiny be changed if someone interfered with the destiny?
54. if there was a portal opened to dark mirror universe when the ignika failsafe was on would it effect the dm universe or can the ignika not reach that far?
65. when you said no good guys would die this year will some bad guys get killed?
7p.s thanks for making pohatu the leader of the tuyet rebiilion in dm. he is my favourite character
81) Lesovikk and Sarda haven't been exposed to the water for 1000 years. The Barraki have. 92) I have no thoughts on it, other than that people need to learn from the past. If year after year they react to prototypes and then discover they actually like the sets when they're out, then they should learn to stop reacting to prototypes. 103) Who has the power to interfere with inevitable destiny? 114) It would not affect the DM universe, no. The DM universe has its own Ignika. 125) Has already happened -- Carapar.
