2They can absorb it from afar

2How is Makuta (Teridax) Mata Nui's brother? I was just wondering: How in Mata Nui is one Makuta out of ALL the Makuta, Vortixx, Matoran, Toa, etc. chosen to be his "brother"? I just don't get it. Was he one of the two spirits made for running the Robot, but Mata Nui was chosen and he was given a Makuta body?
3Because Teridax was the one who oversaw Metru Nui, which was Mata Nui's brain. Normally, a person will identify their "self" with their mind much more than they will their spleen, or their hand, or their foot. And Makuta's special responsibilty was looking after the welfare of the Matoran, which also made him important to Mata Nui.

thank you 4Mata Nui could control the physical reality of his interior, in much the same way you can (to a limited extent) in your body. That would include things like being able to cut off power to a portion of his body, thus dooming whatever lived there.
5This makes me wonder:
6What was the extent to which he could control the geography of his interior? If he wanted to, could he have completely destroyed and/or rearranged the islands within himself?
7It's a good question. Could he have done it? Yes, in the same way you could destroy your internal organs if you did something toxic to yourself. But it would have the same affect on you as it would on him -- it would be destroying a part of his internal workings and potentially damaging the unit as a whole.

21. In several Ninjago 2012 sets appear small snakes. They can be seen in TV show and they have descriptions on official Ninjago website (where they are named "vipers"). So... What are they? Are they a species of snakes, that live with Serpentine? Or maybe they are a young Serpentine, that have not yet grown?
32. Earlier in this topic you stated that all Ninjago graphic novels were considered as canon by the Ninjago story team. Are all Ninjago were approved by the Ninjago story team? And what about Legends of Chima books?
41) I don't have this info, sorry
52) All Ninjago and Chima story concepts have to be approved by the respective story teams before I write anything. Then after I do the writing, the stories themselves get approved before they can be published.
1Hi, Mr. Farshty!
2I was wondering if you create the storyline of your books/comics or if LEGO gives you an outline of what they want you to write? If the second do you get any creative liberties or do you have to follow realy specific guidlines? I'm sorry if you have already answered this from someone else.
3Thanks!
1Hey Mr. Farshtey,
2Just checking in to see if you have an update on the possibility of us interviewing you for our podcast. It's been a little while so I thought I'd get in touch again. I also bring with me a new question!
3Regarding the Hero Factory book series that was recently canceled, do you have any information as to why that decision was made? Did it have to do with dwindling sales, a lack of budget for the theme, or some other factor? Those books were, in my opinion, the best source of story media HF has ever had and to say that I was disappointed ot see them go would be an understatement.
4Thanks,

4Hi - I create the story plots, usually based upon reading over what is already being planned for TV or whatever so I don't duplicate ideas. That dates all the way back to BIONICLE. The only cases where that does not happen is if I am writing a movie adaptation, in which case the book has to be based on the movie script.

61) I think this should be okay. I did online interviews with the BZP people a couple times in the last year and no one had a problem with that, so I think this should be all right to do, and fun.
72) I didn't get a lot of info from Scholastic. Initially, I know the books were selling well and there was some optimism that it might be a longer series. But it didn't happen. It might have been a book sales issue or it might have been a case of LEGO Company wanting to put its licensing eggs more in the Chima and Ninjago baskets, I don't know. I was disappointed too, because I really did enjoy writing them. (And boy, did they rocket along ... I once did 11,000 words in a day on one of those!)
1That's excellent news to hear! Now begins the issue of scheduling and other assorted details... I'm curious about how we're going to do this; I tried posting my email for easier communication, but the post was rejected. How would you suggest we handle this?
2That's a real shame; I'd probably assume it would have something to do with the focus being put more on Ninjago/Chima. Hero Factory doesn't seem to really get as much promotion as it used to; its presence in the LEGO club magazines is almost nonexistant. Thanks for the answer.

4I identify myself with my spleen... Thanks, that really helps.

3Yes! I knew it!

3Well, for what it's worth, Monday and Tuesday nights are best for me, generally, because I don't have my daughter those nights.
1That can probably work. I'll check with the other podcast members later and get back to you.
2Here, I know how we'll do this if I can't post the info... I'll phrase it in the form of a question!
3What's your favorite email provider? Mine is gmail ; I enjoy how the system works. Of course, that's just because I'm Mesonak and... I like the symbol @?
4I kind of lost my way near the end there, but I hope the message was gotten across. Send me a message when you can and we can continue planning that way.
5Thanks,
