2Did the second season of Exo-Force (the Golden City) really sell poorly? Or was there some other reason that the theme was cancelled so abruptly?
3Why was Dino Attack released as Dino 2010 in other countries, especially as the theme came out in 2005?
4Does LEGO know ahead of time if they are going to run a theme for several seasons?
51) I don't have sales info for Exo.
62) It was a violence issue. Dino Attack in the US was much more about defeating the dinosaurs, where Dino 2010 was more about capturing them. The Dino 2010 sets were different in many ways from the Dino Attack sets. As for the numbering, the dino attack was not supposed to have happened in the present, day, that is what we used 2010.;
73) Nine times out of 10, yes. The number of years a line will run is usually planned out from the beginning, and it is unusual for that to change. If a line doesn't do well, it might end early, though I have not seen that happen too often; and if a line is super-successful, like Ninjago or BIONICLE, it might last longer than originally planned.
8No idea why it was canceled then, I suppose?
9Hmm. Makes sense.
10Was Ninjago really supposed to end after the third season?
111) No
122) It was originally scheduled to be a three-year line.
131) Okay, thanks.
142) Huh... I suppose that's what the break was for.
153) Did you write the Exo-Force comics? And if they contradict each other, which would be canon.
16Which comics are you referring to? I probably did a few for LEGO Magazine and Daniel Lipkowitz did some too. I'm not aware of there being others.
17Oh, the online ones, sorry.

2I am sure I will see it at some point. They are having a special screening of it here at LEGO, but I won't be able to go because I have my daughter that night and she is a little too young for going to movies.

18No, I didn't write those.
1Hi again! A question was brought up on BS01 and I was wondering if you could answer it. Apparently, in Web of Shadows, Sidorak refers to a Keelerak as "Kollarak" (this is apparently in the subtitles too; I haven't verified this myself, though). Someone asked you about "Kollarak" in 2007, to which you responded it was the name of a specific Keelerak, like how you would call a dog by its name and not "dog"; do you happen to know if the term Kollarak referring to that specific Keelerak is indeed still canon?
2Also, you didn't happen to just start a blog called "Greg Farshtey" where you answer BIONICLE questions, correct?

31) Yes, it is.
42) No, I did not. I don't blog, I have no time for it.

If you look back at Ninjago, Ninjago was not that popular until the TV series really hit. The Chima series has only had three episodes so far, so when the series really gets started this summer, I think a lot more people will get into it. Also, Ninjago is coming back in 2014, so Chima did not replace it.2Hey, I know a bunch people who thought ninjago was going to be awesome when they first heard of ninjago. And they all loved the moive, Anyways, the TV series, just plain terrible. All they care about now is video games and rent. I mean, there was action, yes, mostly on their video game screens though. Also, after watching the movie, I thought it was awesome, but when the animated series came out, I was very disappointed. (I actually fell asleep from boredom of watching it) And alot of my friends that at one point were huge fans of ninjago eventully left the ball game for something else. So I'm just saying, you're completly wrong their. Also, one more thing, the sets are even better then the tv show, so still, I don't know what you mean by, "Ninjago was on;y a hit when the animated series came out" more like it was a hit before then.
3Ivan,
4A couple of points on this -- you are going based the opinion of the people you know, which is cool. I am going based on what we learned from sales. Things like spinners did not start to sell well until the show was on the air, and Ninjago is the only show I have ever heard of where the ratings stay high even in reruns. You are certaintly entitled to feel it is not for you, and your friends are too, but there are obviously a lot of people who like it or the show would be off the air.
5*Sigh* Sorry Greg of those last few posts. When it comes to me and ranting, I can get alittle carried away sometimes.

I tried to read your Ninajgo it was good writing and all but I just couldn't take LEGO mini figure seriously though
61) I started answering questions on a BIONICLE fan site in 2003, because there was a rumor going around that BIONICLE was ending that year and I wanted to refute it.
72) I can't discuss plans for lines
83) Not that I am aware of -- there are evergreen lines like City that come out every year, in some form.
94) Generally. There is only so much space on store shelves. If you do not phase some lines out, you cannot introduce any new ones.
105) No. They are adventure stories, not really any different from any other adventure story written for kids. If I felt silly writing for kids, I would stick to writing for adults.
1Why did Takua rename himself Takanuva when he became a Toa? Did it have something to do with how he felt when Jala's, Maku's, and Huki's names were changed (to Jaller, Macku, and Hewkii respectively)? I recall that Takua felt upset over his lack of recognition for helping defeat the Bohrok-Kal, and as a result changed his crab Puku's name to Pewku. Was there a behind-the-scenes reason as well?
2If you do not plot your tales ahead of time, then why did it take a couple or so years before we found out that the Red Star revives dead beings?
1If the Red Star was supposed to resurrect dead beings, then why do the Tryna and Mask of Undeath exist?
2If Sidorak gets out of the Red Star, would he be angry at Roodaka?
3Was TSO's name on the story team's approved names list?
4The Vahi was made from the 6 Great Disks (power level 9), which each had the powers of Enlarge, Regenerate, Weaken, Freeze, Teleport, and Reconstitute at Random. If 6 normal Disks with those same powers were made into a Great or Noble Mask, what power do you suppose the mask would have? It wouldn't have the Legendary power of Time, because if it did, it wouldn't be able to contain the power within itself. Would it instead have a power similar to the Mohtrek (Mask of Time Duplication) or the Mask of Aging?
5If Toa Disks of Light existed, could more Kanohi Avohkii be made from them? (Like a Kanohi Garai is made from a Toa Disk of Gravity)

43. If a being that was destined and transformed by EP fell into it for the second time, what would happen ?
