2No. Shadow Matoran existed in Karda Nui. I don't think we have seen evidence that they existed elsewhere in the MU (feel free to correct me if I am wrong), therefore there would be no reason for them to be called anything by the population at large.
3There was Vican and Vultraz, who were turned into Shadow Matoran outside of Karda Nui. Vican was from the Southern Continent, while Vultraz was from the Tren Krom Peninsula. The matoran who knew of them could refer to them as Kra-Matoran right? Wouldn't Shadow Matoran litterally translate to Kra-Matoran? Maybe some books at Daxia had records on them as Kra-Matoran...
