21) Can a Toa of Psionics create telekinetic barriers?
32) One thing I never clearly understood was why Toa need to channel their elemental powers through their tools in-story. They can channel it through their hands, as shown by Lhikan, and some Toa like Varian don't need to channel powers at all. Kopaka said that the tool was a"focus." Does channeling powers through a Toa tool make utilizing them easier, or more efficient or something?
43) I believe you said a Toa could channel his/her powers through any tool. Does that mean a Toa could channel his/her powers through any object? For example, could a Toa of Fire theoretically channel his powers through a frying pan?
54) How long would you say it takes a Toa's EP reserves to recharge from completely empty to full? (A couple hours, a whole day, etc.)
65) Aside from absorbing more of their elements, can they make their reserves charge faster by say, eating or sleeping?
76) Can an MU inhabitant's mechanical systems self-repair to a small degree? For example, I mean you're not going to use Toa energy for a punctured piston, but what if you have no tools?

1Hey Greg:
21) In the Bionicle sets most of the characters, particularly the Toa, had inhuman proportions. Many characters had attributes like disproprtionately long arms, giant feet, thin torsos, etc. Do Toa canonically have human-like proportions, or are their proportions exactly like in the sets?
32) Just out of curiosity, how exactly do the organic components of MU inhabitants not get snagged in their gears and whatnot?
43) Did the Turaga who preceded Dume as ruler of Metru Nui die of old age (rather than leaving his post voluntarily)? Is being the ruling Turaga a position for life?
5 4) Is Toa armor always made of protosteel, or is that just an exception for special armors like adaptive armor? If the latter is the case, then is most Toa armor made of metallic proto?
66) Is elemental power metaphysical?
1Hello Mr. Farshtey, there has been a few things about Brutaka and the Olmak I can't find information on so I thought to ask you.
21. When the Antidermis attacked Brutaka's Olmak and "destroyed" it, did that mean that it shattered his mask beyond the point of wearing it, or was it just damaged enough that he couldn't use it anymore?
31A. If the mask is broken beyond wearing it, did Brutaka live the rest of his life without a mask?
42. After Mata Nui defeated Makuta and turned everything back to normal with the rest of his power, did that reverse the effects that the Antidermis took on Brutaka that made him understand the history of the Makuta and the Shattering?
53. When Vezon had the Olmak fused to his head, did it actually look like the Olmak fused on his face, or did his normal face get the powers of the mask?

2 Simple question, but perhaps a difficult response: is there any, even slight, information you can give on Turaga Dume's life as a Toa? He seems like such a "big picture" kind of elder, it is hard to imagine what he may have been like as a rookie hero. Thanks so much.
3Unfortunately, no info exists on this.

2I remember reading somewhere that Makuta were made as beings of Shadow because there were Rahi that dwelled there. But that wouldn't make such sense considering the "evil" nature of Shadow as an element, and how only some Rahi dwell in shadows, and how even more dwell in light, and really, who would need Shadow as a primary power when you already have Rahi Control?
3So what I'm really getting at is simple enough: Makuta originally didn't have a main element, but they ended up being so jealous they ended up with Shadow as an element, just through dwelling on their inner shadows enough. On the flip side, the Melding Universe Makuta focused on their inner good, and ended up as having light as an element. So did the Makuta reach those elements naturally? On the contrary, could Makuta already be so elementally strong that they are more powerful than another being who naturally gained the light/shadow element?
4I am reluctant to canonize something like this that is going to fundamentally change an aspect of the mythos. Not, at least, without their being some discussion of the pros and cons by the fan base.
5I personally would consider:6PROS:
- 7Makes BIONICLE somewhat more realistic by having the GB's not make a race that's exclusively evil extremely powerful in the BIONICLE universe
- 8Lends more credibility to the Melding Universe Makuta's affiliation with light (why couldn't the GB's have made them that way)
- 9Explains how some of the Makuta weren't evil, despite having the element of shadow.
10CONS:
- 11Changes an aspect of BIONICLE fully.
12Here's the first question -- was shadow ALWAYS an evil element, or did it become an evil element because of the Makuta's rebellion?

12Is there really an aspect of what is "evil", things arent evil becuse what they are, but for what they do, does a bad guy have to always do bad stuff, or could he do good stuff aswell?
13I'd say, shadow ain't "the evil", it was NEVER evil.

10I don't really get that, I mean, draining moral goodness results in Shadow as an element. If all the Toa of Fire went rogue, would that make Fire "evil?"
