1On the matter of the Makuta having the element of Shadow, I do believe that it was inherently evil, or at least already had associations with evil, as the Makuta shunned their light and gained the element after Miserix was overthrown.
2And if the Makuta didn't originally control the element of Shadow, at least not completely, this raises the question of what Rahkshi powers the Makuta originally had, as it seems apparent that this changes based upon their element.

2First off, apologies to everyone for being a little slow getting to questions this week. It's just a combination of the holiday schedule, work being a little insane, and time with my daughter. I intend to catch up over this coming weekend, never fear.
3As far as this question goes -- I started at LEGO in October, 2000, at which point the 2001 story bible and sets were done. I started writing the comic at the end of that year, and by the time Mask of Light was being worked on, I was more of a member of the story team (though not really involved in determining what story would be - more just there to get informed and ask questions).
4Once I started writing the books, I had more opportunity to add side stories to main story, but it really wasn't until post-2005 that I got more involved with actually discussing the story and having some input on it.
1Hello mr Greg
2Some weapons of the Core War were charged with a elemental power like the blades of water of tarix and others able to control the sand like some weapons of Vorox during the CW. Is what there's had similar weapons in every tribe such as a weapon able to control fire or a weapon charged with the elemental power of ice?
3Is what the Agori and the Glatorian can live up to 500 000 years?
4In the graphic novel All our sins reminded it was mentioned: the Great Beings, creators of all living beings on the planet. What does this mean? We know that the GB did not create the agori and Glatorian and the others species like the vorox or the skrall. Is what this means that the GB have created a many of the life forms on the planet but they are not revealed?
5How the red star is attached to the back of mata nui? Is what the RS is attached magnetically to his back?
6You said that the Great Beings haven't left Spherus Magna after the shattering but yet it was mentioned that the GB have left the planet to find refuge elsewhere. I must admit that I am confused.

21. The inhabitants of the tribe of sand (Vorox and Zesk) are the only ones to have been genetically modified by the GB?
32. The sight of the inhabitants of the MU is identical to that of humans or it is more like that of a robot or a little of both?
43. The specie of makuta have evolved. Is what this mean that all the species of the MU like the matoran can evolve?
54. Is what Velika has evolved the makuta specie?
65. The organic protodermis has a structure cellular and DNA and a genome?
76. The inhabitants of MU can leave a fingerprint?
87. Is what Tren Krom is made of organic protodermis?
98. Tren Krom is the only Creation to be completely organic? If not is what these beings are somewhere in the MU and Spherus Magna?
109. Is there wildlife in the MU? as forests and jungles.

1Hey Mr. Farshtey thanks for answering my other questions and I have a few more:
21. How long did the Toa/Dark Hunter War last?
32. Is there any way for a Turaga to become a Toa again?
43. Would any of the Toa Hagah been in the Toa/Dark Hunter War?
54. How do you come up with names for characters?
65. What was your favorite year to wright about?
76. Are the Great Beings native to Spherus Magna?
87. Why were certain element (Iron, Plantlife, Lightning, ect.) Matoran, Toa, and Turaga not seen very often
98. Why didn't Krika "smash" Miserix when Teridax told him to but instead imprison him?\
109. What are Wigets made out of?
11buried and for some reason I can not reply

122. Don't you think a turaga would have done that if they could?
136. No. They travel from planet to planet making stuff and/or accidentally breaking it.
147. Iron for one was not common because the makuta exterminated them all. Sonics matoran are very sensitive to hearing and their villages are often isolated to prevent from going unconcious from noise.
158. Because Krika wasn't 100% loyal to Teridax and wanted to let what he believed to be the true leader of the brotherhood live.

1I am reluctant to canonize something like this that is going to fundamentally change an aspect of the mythos. Not, at least, without their being some discussion of the pros and cons by the fan base.
2I personally would consider:3PROS:
- 4Makes BIONICLE somewhat more realistic by having the GB's not make a race that's exclusively evil extremely powerful in the BIONICLE universe
- 5Lends more credibility to the Melding Universe Makuta's affiliation with light (why couldn't the GB's have made them that way)
- 6Explains how some of the Makuta weren't evil, despite having the element of shadow.
7CONS:
- 8Changes an aspect of BIONICLE fully.
9Here's the first question -- was shadow ALWAYS an evil element, or did it become an evil element because of the Makuta's rebellion?
10It became viewed as evil because of how the makuta used it. I imagine light would have been viewed as evil if the makuta had control of the element and rebelled with it.
11I for one though think that evil isn't born, it's made. And therefore, it shouldn't be canonized. No matter how much I think it makes sense.
12Also, in Brothers in Arms, I think I recall that Teridax's wording implied that the makuta started out with shadow but meditated to remove all negative emotion from themselves.
