2Endangered by who? By what? A professional baseball team normally has 25 players, does that mean the team is endangered?
3I think he ment the GB as a species.
4Perhaps they're just so hard to kill, that they don't consider 20 as "endangered" But i think Greg is trying to say that the great being are an organisation, not a species.

By naming it, we would be, in a sense, losing a connection with the new version of the mask and allowing the 2015 BIONICLE story team the freedom to keep the two separate.
2Here are the problems:
31) I have no idea if they are going to establish them as the same mask or not, in which case naming it ourselves would be a bad idea
42) I have no idea why Korusca was dropped - there may have been legal issues with it that I do not recall/know about
5I kind of feel too like this would be canonization for the sake of it. The story is not suffering any because this mask is not named

6Very great points; we don't know the other half of the story as to why the name is in legal limbo, and I have a feeling that the new story team will end up naming it. Also true, I can see that this could fall under the category of canonization just for the sake of it.
7I do have a question regarding Artakha, however. When you were writing Reign of Shadows why did you choose for Artakha to come into the story then? He'd always remained isolated. (He is an awesome character, by the way.)
1People have had opinions over whether they prefered Bionicle before or after the climax in '03. There's one part I'm really curious about though, seeing as you apparently enjoyed writing Teridax the most.
2Did you prefer writing his character in 01-03 as a mysterious, ambiguous entity, or did you find him more interesting aftewards, when he was gradually being revealed more and more.
3Generally, did you prefer him when he was Sauron, or when he was Voldemort?
11: Do you still make some fannon cannon, if so could you make my Mask of Dimensional-Transfer cannon.
22: Does the neon orange Kratta have and special powers.
33: Say if Bionicle wasnèt cancelled in 2010 how would the story be continued.
44: Do you like the new story.
55: Was the technology more advanced before the planets split
66: Could you tell me something about Bionicle that no fan has heard before
77: What do you regret writing in the Bionicle universe.

21. When approximately did Makuta shun their inner light?
32. What were their powers like before this? Specifically, did they have elemental Shadow powers?
43. What were Makuta like, personality-wise, before this? Were they still evil, or at least jerky?
54. Why didn't Makuta Teridax just crush all rebellion after he took over the robot? Did he think it was amusing to let the rebels try?
65. Is it possible that Teridax created the main Infected Rahi (Nui-Rama, Nui-Jaga, Tarakava, Muaka, Kane-Ra, and Manas)?
76. Do Makuta usually start from scratch when creating Rahi, or do they often modify pre-existing Rahi (or use pre-existing Rahi as basis) for new Rahi, like Sand Tarakava, Tarakava Nui, and Rahi Nui?
87. Unrelated: a cutscene from the cancelled Legend of Mata Nui PC game shows Akamai and Wairuha battling a Mana-Ko. Did this actually happen in the canon story? It's not referenced anywhere else, so I'm assuming it didn't.
9I think these got buried.
10Also, another question. A couple years ago, there was an official S&T Contest called A Thousand Years Untold 2. It was the follow-up to a previos contest called A Thousand years untold, which users submitted short stories about Mata Nui, Metru Nui, and Voya Nui during the thousand years after the Great Cataclysm. The winners were canonized. THis contest deals with other islands which were not revealed at that point (eg. Mahri Nui, Stelt, Karda Nui). Should the winners of the second contest be considered canon, as the contest was intended? The contest description says that was the case.
1Hi there Greg Farshtey!
2Sorry about the two different posts, but I thought of some other questions:
31) We know that the Red Star scans the Matoran Universe for dead sapient species such as Matoran/Toa/Turaga, Skakdi, Vortixx, Steltians, etc., but does not scan for any Rahi because of a potential influx of one species.
4 a) Are intelligent Rahi considered in this rule; so no Krahka, Keetongu, and Tahtorak?
5 b) Would it still scan for Makuta even though they'd have no body for the Red Star to work with?
6 c) Could it scan for Kestora if they were teleported into the Matoran Universe?
7 d) Does it pick up that something is different about Velika? Does the star know he is a Great Being based on his mehcanics/coding?
82) When exactly did Mata Nui fall asleep, right as Makuta cast the Great Shadow as he looked atop the Collesium? Or did he release the virus before and its effects only happened at that moment?
93) I never could follow the intricacy of Makuta's plan. It didn't feel like it followed a linear path to me. How was his trapping the Matoran on Mata Nui, his wanting to speed up time for the encapsulated Matoran so they'd wake up and hail him as their hero, and his having Matoro bring the Great Spirit back to life with the Ignika all connected?

101) I don't know if we attached an approximate "when" to it in timeline
112) Yes. Shadow was considered an evil power because of how they wielded it
123) They went about their business and they did their jobs. They had to be careful about revealing to Mata Nui what they were planning too early
134) Yes. It is not unusual for beings with godlike powers to feel any opposition is so beneath them that they don't need to worry about it
145) Possible, but I don't recall a story bible that said he did
156) They normally start from scratch
167) Not to my knowledge
178) Re: your last question. I do not recall ever seeing the stories from the second contest, and if I have not seen and approved them, then they can't be canonized.

81) Not without knowing a lot more about it.
92) Not that I know of
103) No decisions had been made by the story team about post 2010 story
114) My opinion doesn't matter -- yours does. I am not the intended audience.
125) Yes
136) I doubt it
147) I did not like the 2005 story, but I don't know if I can say I "regret" writing for it -- the storyline was what it was, and if I hadn't written books for it, someone else would have.

4I frankly did not like him 2001-2003, because he came across as someone who was constantly saying, "I am the greatest, fear me!" ... and then losing in 35 seconds. That is why I rewrote his character in Time Trap. Yes, he was mysterious in the early years ... he was also a perennial loser.
