81) You can't really do half measure nova blasts. But there are plenty of ways for a Toa to do what you are suggesting just using a regular application of their power. Lewa could whip up a tornado to disperse multiple opponents, Kopaka could make a blizzard, etc.
92) I don't recall us coming up with a story reason for it. As you said, it was a set thing that we just had to go with.
103) I did not see him as being part of a known species.
114) My best answer would be that, as in our world, tech develops in different places at different times. The fact that Kanoka were invented in Ko-Metru 4000 years ago doesn't mean they couldn't have been developed somewhere else earlier than that. Ancient did not come from Metru Nui, after all.

5The fact that they may have been rivals on their island may provide additional reasons why Conjurer and Tyrant are so insolent to the Shadowed One and Ancient.
6What do you think? It doesn't bend or break anything in Dark Hunters or strech things out too extreme limits, yet it provides a backstory to consolidate islands and races (which is something a lot of people have been calling for).
