2I love to write... and I know you're an accomplished writer,
3I mainly post on the ninjago stories forum, but I did just submit a story for LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS (The newest theme) So I was wondering, do you have any good tips for writing?
4And I'm actually thinking of majoring in writing, though college for me is... 6 years away... (I'm 12) But I was also wondering, when did you first start writing? I love to write (As I've already said) But my writing is awful! So if you could help me out! I would be forever in your debt! Thanks!
5I probably started writing around 4th grade, here and there, but really didn't start writing for other people to read until high school. The best tips I can give are read a lot, particularly writers who are better than you are, and write a lot. The ability to write is a muscle just like any other one, and if you don't use it, it atrophies.
6I had, I think, two advantages growing up -- I had a Dad who was willing to buy me comic books on the way home from work (from which I learned a lot about story structure and dialogue) ... and, because my nearest siblings were a few years older than me, I was mainly playing on my own, making up stories with my action figures. And I grew up to make up stories about action figures and minifigures.
7Oh I read all the time! I love to read older books that have beautiful ways of phrasing things, and I do try to write, but like I said not the best writer, but I do like to write, so I try to write whenever I can, plus all I've ever writen is of here... and I only have one brother, and he's 8 years olcer then me so yeah... fun stuff! But anyways! Thank you so much for the tips, and of course your back story! You helped me a lot!

2Also, right before the GSB was created, Antidermis entered the Protodermis pool. Which Makuta was it?
3That wasn't antidermis, that was Zaktan.
4As far as whether the GSB could be split back into component parts, I don't know. I hadn't planned what his fate was going to be. It was probably going to depend on whether fans wanted the Piraka back or not.
5Wow! 6 years later and the old Bionicle storyline is still surprising me. Thanks!
6So how did Zaktan turn into a greenish cloud? Did he still retain his Protodite form when Teridax blew him up? I was under the impression that he lost it when he was mutated (Bionicle Legends #7: Downfall, if I recall correctly), but I'm probably wrong in that regard.
7And this next question is actually related to Ninjago. You mentioned reading the original story bible for it a long time ago. Do you recall if the Ninjas were given actual specific ages, such as 14, 15 etc.? I ask because I just read a topic where someone said Cole was 14, but I never got that impression from any of the Ninjago media or LEGO sets.

8Zaktan was always capable of doing that -- if his protodites separate from each other, they form a swarm.
9No, I never saw anything that gives them specific ages, but remember that they are obviously able to drive, pilot planes, etc., so they have to be old enough to legally do that.

10Si basically, the ninja are all adults that act like teenagers (except, Zane is a robot).

1As far as "set design trumps logic" goes, the simpler statement is that story follows set design. Sets were made first, story crafted after, and story only existed to promote set sales.
2My childhood is ruined.
3Look at it this way: all Greg (and any other writers that were teamed up with him) had to do was write a children's story to promote the Bionicle toys. Instead of doing something simple (like some other toy stories we're witnessing) he (and any others who deserve credit) created an amazing story that not only served to make you buy the sets, but was so amazing that teenagers (and possibly even young adults) are still talking about it to this day. Were it not for the brilliance of the G1 Bionicle team, your childhood would be very different.
4I was just kidding, but you're right. The story team worked very exceptionally well with what they did, and I would probably be completely different were it not for Greg and the team. (Thank-you Greg).
5By the way, I just realized something. Bionicle saved LEGO. Greg drove much of Bionicle. Does that mean Greg Farshtey saved LEGO?
6(Kidding.)

71) No
82) There is no "Overlord" in BIONICLE.
93-4) The storyline for original BIONICLE is frozen where it stopped. I don't know of any plans by LEGO Company to add more to that story.
105) No idea, I am not involved in the new BIONICLE
