1Hi Greg,
2I came up with some other questions, here they are:
31) If you remember, after G1 was cancelled in 2010, every now and then you would give the fans permission to hold contests of various types of wich the winning entries would become part of the official canon, but in 2011 you had to leave BZP, and you never read the winning entries of three different contests, wich are not considered canon for that reason. Now, I know you're a busy man, but do you think you could read them and approve them? You can find links to all the stories on the bottom of the Media page of BS01 (except for one that I can't seem to find anywhere). It would be great if you could read them, and I hope you will before the boards become "read only." That is, if you have time to do it.
42) How is the Fire Entity a Rahi? It's literally made of fire, it doesn't seem biomechanical to me.
53) You once said that the ELs were of mixed gender. Since the Lords of Fire, Water, Jungle, Rock, and Ice are described with male pronouns, that leaves only the Lords of Sand and Earth as possible females, and, after thinking about it, I came up with reasons for both of them to be female:
6Sand: The ST was always known for their brutal ways, so the GBs would have chosen a female member to lead it, as they erroneously thought that females were gentler, and as a consequence more fit to rule, like they did with the Orde incident.
7Earth: The ET was made of farmers, and working in a farm takes a lot of strenght, so the warrior class would probably do that for a living. But since males are biologically stronger than females, the latter group would be more likely not to work as a farmers, but to rule the territory (one would assume the tribes had some kind of government before the GBs came). So when the GBs chose those who would become ELs, they would have chosen those who had some experience in ruling.
8What do you think?
9I've got some more questions but I'm gonna ask them in another post because of character limit.
10Thanks!
1Hello Mr. Farshtey,
2I've had a few questions for a while, and just never got around to asking them. With the boards closing, I guess now's the time. I totally understand if you don't have time to get to these, though, so there's no rush.
31. Av-matoran can channel their power through weapons. How much power do they have, and why don't other matoran have this capability?
42. What are your most and least favorite parts about Bionicle?
53. How do you pronounce Vezon, Kopaka, and Kopeke?
64. Is a Pahrahk's (did I spell that right?) kraata power Shattering or Explosion?
7Thank you very much, and have a nice day!

81, for the Av-Matoran were the first matoran ever created.
93, vey-ZONN (according to the Encyclopedias), koh-PAH-kah (according to the Encyclopedias), KOH-peek (according to the Ecnyclopedias)
104, Panrahk's kraata power is the Fragmentations
1A few of my questions got buried so I'll just repost them here.
21) This isn't so much a question, rather an idea. The character Perditus didn't get to do much over the course of the story so I would like to suggest that he was one of Velika's agents alongside Atakus and Kabrua. He was known to have access to the Great Beings' technology so it's feasible he could've made contact with Velika at some point, and as a vehicle rider who didn't participate in the arena system he would've been able to travel around and keep Velika appraised of the goings-on in various places whilst keeping a low profile. Do you approve?
32) What would happen if Teridax tried to absorb the Alternate Teridax with a shadow hand?
43) Are some of the Great Beings of the Skrall species?
5Sorry to see this chat go. It's been fun.
1Here's my second batch of questions
21) Why did you decide to make the Red Star a reviving station? Don’t you think it makes Lihkan’s sacrifice cheap?
32) Considering their connection to nature, did Earth Tribe members discover how to fuse with plants and teach it to Jungle Agori on Bota Magna?43) Were there any Earth Tribe Agori among those that captured Lewa?54) Did the Glatorian on Bota Magna also fuse with plants?65) Could an EL fuse with a plant?
76) I found three contradicting answers on Antidermis in this thread. In one, you said that Antidermis may have been a byproduct of the creation of Protodermis, in a later one, you said it was a Protodermis-based substance, and in another you said that it was a substance completely unrelated to Protodermis. Wich of these statements is the correct one?87) In Makuta’s Guide to the Universe, the Piraka are introduced with their promotional nicknames on their bios (like this: Zaktan “The Snake”, Thok “Drifter” etc...), all except Hakann, (Bully). If you want to check, the bios are on pages 33-34. So, does that mean that their promotional nicknames are their code names (with the exception of Hakann’s)?98) We know that TSO, Conjurer, Ancient and Tyrant are all from the same species. The former two, though, look radically different from the latter two. I saw an older post in wich you said that, the same way humans can look radically different from each other, so can members of TSO’s species. But since all MU species are manufactured, why would two members of the same species differ so greatly in appearence? Maybe, like the various Matoran tribes, they are created with some differences for specific purposes?
109) Do Kestora eat from power stations like Matoran do? That way the revived beings on the RS could feed, or they would all be starving.
11I've got more, sorry if I'm becoming annoying.

11Cool! Thanks for helping me out, SurelNuva!
12Two more questions I remembered:
131. Every being in the MU was created for a purpose that would help the GSR. What roles were intended for the Skakdi and other evil ones?
142. The GSR had gravity beams in its hands. Would there be a high concentration of gravity matoran/Toa in these areas?

31) For the same reason comics bring back dead characters all the time -- the flexibility to use the characters again. As for Lhikan ... have you ever, in any story, heard a character say, "Hey, I'll just die and the red star will bring me back"? No. My feeling is that most of the MU has no idea that is possible. So the sacrifice is only a waste if he KNEW it wasn't final death, and he did not. So his heroism is undiminished.

82) No, not to my knowledge.
93) Again, not to my knowledge.
104) No
115) Probably if it wanted to
126) My take would be the first one. I doubt the GBs set out to create this, I think it was an accident.
137) The promotional nicknames were included because they had to be, since they were part of BIONICLE marketing. Beyond that, I never liked them or tried to weave them into official canon.

58) Or the tech (or in the case of Rahi, the viruses) used to make them were upgraded during the process, resulting in a dfferent appearance.
69) Yes
1So I promised you guys something on why the Earth tribe are never talked about and are basically pariahs ...
2Go back to before the Core War. We know that Ice Agori were the first to see the energized protodermis when it bubbled to the surface and the Ice Element Lord was the first to lay claim to the well. What you don't know is that the Earth tribe knew EP existed for at least a short while before it came to the surface, since by their nature they knew more about what was going on in the subterranean world than anyone else.
3The Earth EL contemplated doing just what the Ice EL ended up doing, but realized it would put a big target on his back and his tribe's back. Yet he still wanted control of the resource. Assuming it would come to the surface at some point, he sat back and waited for someone else to discover it. Once the Ice tribe found it, he and his tribe subtly encouraged the Ice Agori to seize control of the resource, knowing it would provoke conflict ... as it did.
4The Earth tribe was, in fact, the only tribe NOT to fight in the Core War. While professing a wish to peace, they were behind the scenes undermining any effort to end the war. Their plan was to wait until the other tribes has exhausted themselves in battle and then swoop in and take the well. As it turned out, things went too far and the planet ruptured before they could do that.
5But even before the Shattering, some Agori had started comparing notes and realized the Earth tribe had been promoting this conflict while staying unbloodied by it. After the disaster, accepted wisdom became that the Earth EL and Agori were responsible for what had happened and so no one wanted anything to do with them anymore. They were effectively banished from society.

61) Makes sense.
72) I think it would be a stalemate, because you are talking about two characters with probably equal willpower.
83) No

81) Av-Matoran were prototypes.
92) I have too many most favorite parts to list ... and I think my least favorite parts are where the story could have been better, either because I could have done a better job or because things were limited by having to cram so many characters into each tale.
103) i think 3 and 4 got answered previously by another member
