8Please Mr.Farshtey reply!
91) I would say no, because the official description is that he only has "some" control over his elements.
102) I am hesitant to do that, because their looks are based on fan models and I don't want to render the models obsolete.
113) They would not have created a Toa team, no -- remember, Prototype is nuts, for one thing. As for the DH, we do not at this point know how organized that organization is on Spherus Magna.
124) Not that I am aware of.
135) No, it's made from an elemental disk of ice
146) Yes
157) Not sure I understand your question. I don't think we've ever stated that Barraki wore Kanohi.

31) You once suggested that maybe the reason Vakama didn’t know his mask power despite being a Mask Maker might have been because it was a Kanohi acquired in trade wich was not Metru Nui-styled. In fact, the Metru are the only Metru Nui Matoran shown in visual media having great-shaped versions of their Kanohi. So, what if the reason that Vakama didn’t know his mask power and those of his brothers was that all of them were acquired in trade and were not in the usual style of Metru Nui? Are you fine with this being the official explanation?4I think we can acknowledge that the visual depiction of the toa metru as matoran only had their toa-shaped masks for animation and budgeting reasons (similar to how none of the characters are shown without a mask, even when they're not wearing one). As seen with all the other matoran on metru nui/mata nui, the metru kanohi were only worn by matoran in noble shape. The only time we see the toa metru in matoran form is in the movie, so I would surmise that they didn't know their mask powers because 1. they had unfamiliar shapes, and 2. they didn't really know much about using kanohi, apart from vakama.
5Or -- we could simply retcon that notion: and declare it non-canon, and pretend the Toa metru immediately knew how to use their mask powers -- as any other Toa team should.
7I can't declare a huge portion of a movie non-canon.

2Velika murdered Tren Krom and Karzahni.
3He planned to murder "Axonn, Brutaka and Toa Helryx, veteran warriors; Makuta Miserix, with all the power that title implied; Artakha, wearer of the Mask of Creation; Toa Tuyet, who was mightier than any of the others knew; and Vezon, gifted with the ability to move through dimensions the way others move through air. So many beings of power, all in one spot … it was quite delicious." too.
4He had the the Toa Mata in his sights but "were too important to have their lives sacrificed needlessly. Oh, they would die, eventually, but it would be at a time of his choosing."
5I know you don't plan your serials and just write as they go along, but, what other objectives of power could've Velika had in his mind? Who else was powerful enough to kill? And did he include beings from Bara Magna/Bota Magna too? If so, I can see the Element Lords being objectives. Takanuva too
6Velika seemed, to me, to be targeting people of higher power levels than Toa. So, for example, Artakha might be a potential target. I don't think he would target element lords, because they could potentially be allies.

8To be fair -- the movie took a ton of creative liberties :/
1Keetongu lived with the other members of his species on the island in the east chain of the Southern Islands. His species was known for using Tahtorak as mounts, so the tribes kept some nearby in their village. Mostly though, the two species lived separately.
2The Order had heard of the Visorak terrorizing islands, and had been tipped off that Keetongu's island was next to be attacked. Removing the species of Rahi that could reverse Visorak poison was not something that the Order wanted, so they sent Trinuma as a diplomat. Without revealing which organization he worked for, Trinuma tried in vain to use his Mask of Charisma. The tribal leader of Keetongu's species believed all of this to be made-up, as their island was very closed off from the outside world. Trinuma didn't want an entire species gone, so he pleaded with the tribal leader. Eventually, after some effort and charm, Trinuma convinced the tribal leader who sent Keetongu with Trinuma to see if the new island was safe.
3Trinuma brought Keetongu to the hideaway in Ko-Metru, wrote down instructions on the Great Temple, and promised to return with the others of his species. By the time Trinuma returned to the island, the Visorak had overrun the remaining members of Keetongu's species -- Trinuma was too late. Some Tahtorak living in the village were gone, but the ones on the plains were not. The Visorak knew they could not take on herds of Tahtorak, so they only challenged Keetongu's species.
4Distraught and ashamed that he could not save all of Keetongu's people, Trinuma couldn't bear to see Keetongu again. He returned to Daxia with a heavy heart while Keetongu sat, waiting for Trinuma to return until the Rahaga and Hordika found him.

1I've recently started drawing Bionicles in a much more detailed way than I had been, but I've run into a problem. I don't know what a Toa's face would look like without a mask on.
2So here is my question. How much of a Bionicle's face is organic and how much is metal? The books refer to their eyes as 'orbs' unless I'm mistaken. Oh, and do they have noses? I know they have lips, because it's mentioned in the books, but I can't remember anything about noses.
3If you could give me a description of what a Bionicle face might look like, it would be extremely helpful and I would greatly appreciate it. I've already had to draw Lariska with a mask on since I didn't know what her face would look like at all.
4Thank you for your time.

1Hello Mr. Farshtey. With the message boards here on LEGO coming to an abrupt end, I thought I'd ask a few final questions that I need answered for a few BIONICLE films I'm working on. The insight would help me greatly continue the stories you've set in stone.
21. When did the Toa of Iron and Magnetism Purge by the Brotherhood of Makuta take place? Was it before or after the Great Cataclysm or after Norik's Toa Hagah rebellion?
32. Did Icarax or Gorast or both take part in the purge? Considering their yarn for carnage.
43. Did the Brotherhood hire assassins / Dark Hunters to destroy Toa of Iron and Magnetism during the purge?
53. How long after the Great Cataclysm was the Pit destroyed / opened before the events of the 2007 story?
64. Is Botar's kind capable of doing irredeemable acts? Would Botar be able to arrest one of his own species?
75. When Botar comes to pick up prisoners and bring them to the Pit, can he be the one that actually brings them down? Like an Order member finds them but loses them and Botar has to confront them himself?
86. Can Botar capture prisoners alone? Or does he only capture them after they have already been defeated such as in the Barraki's case?
97. Hopefully you can answer this, despite it being a set question: Voporak has four arms on his combiner set. He has two large claws, and one hand to hold his time displacement Rhotuka spinner. However one of his smaller arms is missing a hand. Did Voporak lose that hand before his transformation by the Brotherhood or did he lose it to a punishment by the Shadowed One?
108. In Birth of a Dark Hunter, Lariska was obviously using Nidhiki for her purposes but later they became close allies when he was a Dark Hunter as a Toa. Did that friendship remain after he was transformed?
11Thank you.

6Not greg, but i'd say take a look at the sets - for one thing, they do have noses. other than that, i'm inclined to say that besides their eyes, their face was totally organic. if you look at the movie, whenever you can see some "face" in the "gaps" in someone's mask, you can see that it's organic material under there. Where was it mentioned in the books that they have lips? For non-mask wearing species, I'd say they have a pretty good amount of mechanics on their face: look at the piraka, roodaka, sidorak, etc.
7I imagine it like this: a matoran/toa/turaga's mask takes the place of the mechanical parts on their face, and that's part of the reason that they have to wear them all the time.

3biosector01.com can answer this one, i think. IIRC, this event was on the timeline page.
maletoaofwater wrote:1On marrendar - we don't know much about him/it, other than the fact that it was made to hunt toa. We also know that inside the matoran universe, the rahi nui was made to do the same. Can we assume that they had similar powers? (mainly resistance to elemental powers, i suppose).
2A quick addendum to my last question about marrendar - if it's resistant to elemental powers, would it use those powers used against it to grow, just like the rahi nui as well? (in my opinion, it makes sense, since they were created for the same purpose)
3thank you!
4p.s. I'm an editor on bs01 - hopefully we'll be able to put some sort of age varification system in place so you could still talk to us over there!

9Yes, but the people who were running the story team at the time were heavily involved with the films, so it's not my place to disavow their work.
