4I think we can acknowledge that the visual depiction of the toa metru as matoran only had their toa-shaped masks for animation and budgeting reasons (similar to how none of the characters are shown without a mask, even when they're not wearing one). As seen with all the other matoran on metru nui/mata nui, the metru kanohi were only worn by matoran in noble shape. The only time we see the toa metru in matoran form is in the movie, so I would surmise that they didn't know their mask powers because 1. they had unfamiliar shapes, and 2. they didn't really know much about using kanohi, apart from vakama.

5Or -- we could simply retcon that notion: and declare it non-canon, and pretend the Toa metru immediately knew how to use their mask powers -- as any other Toa team should.

4Sorry Sir, but you said and confirmed that the BG fortress was defended from the shockwaves and from that power too. So Brutaka wasn't affected and cured.
1A quick addendum to my last question about marrendar - if it's resistant to elemental powers, would it use those powers used against it to grow, just like the rahi nui as well? (in my opinion, it makes sense, since they were created for the same purpose)

- 7Are there certain types of kanohi makuta can't wear? I can't see a mask of undeath, for example, working with antidermis nature - the makuta could leave his body and have it revived by the mask.
- 8How would a makuta use a faxon? Couldn't the makuta just create rahi and then use their powers? Or is rahi creation too long a process for this to be viable? Or can makuta simply not use the faxon?

5Actually, GregF stated the GB fortress "firewall" blocked transmissions as MN's language upload. But nothing was said about the capability of Ignika's "lifewaves" to get through this shield.

6By normal, I mean one made from a potential Toa disk (even though Toa disks of Shadow don't exist).
